NCounter might be my favorite new lunch spot. There, I said it. This Mill Avenue spot is tucked away on the quieter North end of Mill, but it deserves a visit. With a large outdoor patio, a beautiful atmosphere and DELICIOUS food, this gem is definitely worth paying for parking. The Cobb Sandwich is one of the best lunch picks I've ever made. With a side salad, it's the perfect meal. All the sandwiches are tasty, so you can't go wrong. And with a case of sparkly baked goods, you can round off your day with a delicious cupcake or cookie. Stop by. You'll be so glad you did. read more

I am visiting from out of town and staying near the Phoenix airport. Decided to take the light rail and was pleasantly surprised to find this place right in front of me when exiting the train. I ordered the eggs Benedict. Came with diced potatoes. I also ordered a coffee. Everything was good but nothing spectacular to rave about. I liked that the food wasn't greasy but the meal was slightly over priced in my opinion. The guy at the register wasn't sure whether to address me as "sir" or "man" so he used both which was a bit weird. Haha overall good experience and a good place to come back to for breakfast. Again nothing to rave about but if you want breakfast and don't care to only try places worth traveling for, then you're good coming here. read more

The place was busy. Still had plenty of seating outside on their patio. Good vibe in the place, reminds me of liberty market in Gilbert. I had a egg sandwich called killer. This sandwich had some cheese (forgot what kind of cheese) that was really strong. It over powered the sandwich so I didn't care for it. My wife had the pancakes. Banana fosters pancakes I think. These were really good. I had half of her order since she never eats all of her food (lucky me;). We also had a body Mary. It was a little spicy, the way I like it. It was not to strong, which to me is good if your having one with breakfast. Next time we hike A-mountain, we will stop in there to share the French toast. read more

All of the omelettes are pretty good and the egg sandwiches are decent. Both the cold and warm sandwiches are awesome for lunch. Typically has pretty fast service and is a great place to come if you are trying to have a good breakfast or lunch. read more

The bananas foster French toast was delicious but my favorite was the pear omelette! I would have never thought that the combo of pear, cheese, bacon, almonds & eggs would work. It would have received 5 stars if it didn't take them about 20 minutes to bring out my food when it wasn't even that busy. read more

Not a fan. The food didn't seem fresh, my mimosa was mostly purée processed fruit juice and a splash of champagne. Waffles were ok, but not any better than what I could've made at home. Not impressed. Customer service was a big ok. Maybe it was due to the holiday madness but I went in later to avoid the rush. My girlfriend loved her smoothie (strawberry banana) so I may be back to get one of those - to go. Overall, won't be back there are way too many delicious, fresh, healthy brunch places in Tempe and the Phoenix area. read more

This place is awesome. It took only about 5 minutes for me to sit down with a table and had great service. Highly recommend!

This place used to be delicious. But ever since new ownership took over, the fruit tastes canned and mushy. Back in the day, oats and berries had fresh strawberries and blueberries with delicious oats. But now, the berries are soggy, mushy, and covered in syrup (likely because they come from a can), and the oatmeal is dry and very sticky. Unfortunately, from this point forward, I think I will be finding my breakfast elsewhere. read more

All-around average. I got a chai latte that was more sweet water than tea. Chilaquiles were crispy but the sauce wasn't amazing. Delightfully average for the price. read more

The good: Most of the food here is quite tasty, and fresh. Mill ave definitely needed a breakfast place. The Marathoner smoothie is my favorite thing there so far. The customer service is great. If you don't like something, they will take it back and get you something new...even delivering it to you if you work on Mill Avenue. The Bad: Wait times, almost every time I have been there are outrageous. 10 minutes for a smoothie, 25 minutes for a takeout sandwich, 20 minutes when I was sitting, waiting for my food there. The price. I often found myself paying close to $15 for lunch... and I cannot honestly say I think the lunch I received was worth $15. read more

Modern places like this are in short supply in Tempe/Phx, so it is great for a quick brunch. The best part is that the parking is right next door and the service is not crappy. Thought 2 out of the 5 times they were late, probably cz they forgot about our order. Try the chicken Focaccia sandwich with salad, it is healthy anad filling. Love the French Toast as well as the Chicken salad as well. A good brunch option to check out in Tempe. read more

This place is cute, lots of options. However it does advertise itself to be on the healthy side and I didn't think it was very healthy. I had the veggie omelet that was soaked in grease. -very very busy -semi-self serve -Lots of seating (inside and out) -lots of college kids -noisy -good for groups -great for people watching read more

Wow, my roomate took me here when I first moved to Arizona several months ago. I was impressed! The food was awesome, the decor really cute, and they have a cute bar that serves alcoholic beverages. I loved my eggs benedict and would love to return here again sometime soon! Cheers read more

We have eaten several times for breakfast only. I usually order a breakfast sand which and have been pleased. Today I ordered the hot Juan omelette and was disappointed. Way to much cheese which led to the omelette sitting in a lot of grease. Way to little chorizo and way to much salsa. The omelette was drowning in salsa. My MIL had French toast that was cold. My d got pancakes and enjoyed those. They were good. I will also agree with the poster below that the music is a tad to loud at breakfast. When you continually have to say what it is to loud. read more

I love this place. They deliver on a trendy cool place to eat, very broad selection, and everything's good. I've been going here for close to a year to have brunch and I always walk away feeling well fed, never gross or bloated. read more

I came here because I needed coffee, and needed to be in this area. However, I would have been better off walking the 2 blocks and just getting Starbucks, which has its flaws, but hands-down better than this. The ordering is weird, you can order at the counter (which is not the coffee bar) or sometimes at the coffee bar. But the espresso shots - not sure what to say about it, I think my office K-cups tasted better than my $4 latte. but the people eating there for breakfast seemed to be enjoying themselves.... read more

love you for bringing me my breakfast and drinks. eat at the bar, you can sit and order, instead of standing at the counter. VIP Moe Moe, I so so love, I love your company today, thank you sista! one love. eat the pear omelet with out the bacon, you'll be happy. get a salad instead of potatoes, it will make your brain even happier. great greyhounds. love vodka and grapefruit at places that can pull it off. thanks for being on mill. read more

Seriously not impressed. 3 of us went all ordered different items and it was mediocre at best. I was the only one who liked the flavor of my meal and everyone's food was cold and unimpressive. It took at least 20 minutes to get our meals. And it a counter order joint so u expect a bit of a speedier delivery epically for breakfast. Idk how servers make tips or money here but that could be why it was slow idk. The coffee bar only had milk to offer no cream and I have a hard time with pump pots being used for dairy products....those inside parts don't come apart and there is no way they are ever 100% clean of dairy residue. Coming from a veteran of food and beverage....I would steer clear of that and ask for milk or cream on the side. My chai tea was fantastic but it took almost 10 mins to get. I was also impressed that when I told them I didn't like melon they brought me out pineapple and strawberries with no hesitation. Items ordered: Morning glory - the enjoyed meal Keep it simple - all items were cold and the potatoes were mushy. French toast- huge portion but lacked flavor and creativity It's a cute spot and I'd stop in for a coffee but would probably skip the food. read more

Ncounter is always packed during the weekends and rightfully so. Really great brunch spot with a good variety of sweet and savory brunch options. My usual is the farmers market egg's Benedict. The eggs are always poached perfectly. Only complaints are the long wait time for food during high traffic hours, which is to be expected. read more

Best breakfast around. Gotta try the chipotle breakfast burrito and farmers Benedict!

Great portions, everything was super tasty and super fast. Super cute outdoor seating and indoor seating and atmosphere was just lovely.

My breakfast was decent but I had to eat at a table with bird shit on it. 3 employees walked passed and didn't bother to wipe my table off. Won't be coming back read more

Pretty delicious and fresh. Modern atmosphere and delicious breakfast. I love the iced mocha and the tasty eggs with avocados, english muffins, and spinach. They provide siracha sauce too! Man, it was a busy Saturday, lol. I had to give this place a try since I heard so many good things about it. I walked in with a few friends and you actually order first at the back and they bring you the food later. I thought it was going to be where we sat down first then someone takes our order, but that wasn't the case. There was four of us and we got an order of a sandwich, omelet, and two eggs benedict. I got the eggs benedict and it was something new for me. I got to say it was really delicious. I loved it. The problem was that I had an appetite that day so I was still hungry, lol. The staff were professional and the food came out in a timely manner. I took a sip of someone's orange juice at our table and well, lets just say they serve alcohol and it was quite tasty. The vibe of the place was nice and relaxed. Every one there seemed they were having a good time and it also looked very clean and organized. If the weather was nice or whatever you feel is nice there is an outdoor patio if you like eating outdoors. All in all, place was nice, staff was good, and food was awesome. I will definitely be back here again and if you love breakfast/brunch then I'd say give this place a try! read more

Great breakfast options and the help yourself coffee keeps you wide awake as you wait for your food. This is not a quick Panera or Corner Bakery stop. The food is very good, but it takes a while to make. My standard benedict was pretty good and my daughter loved the HUGE fluffy choc chip pancakes. My only issue is the lack of free parking and for that matter available parking on busy mornings. Aside from those issues, the food is excellent and worth a visit! read more

Fun little restaurant. Awesome food choices. Great drinks and friendly staff. Happening for a Saturday morning.

Great food. Really enjoyed the killer sandwich but might go a different direction than the breakfast potatos. Ordering through the phone was a nice option. read more

my review was for a place called a core .. i think now it's daily jam i'm sure it's different

Busy & cute little place further down mill ave. In Tempe! Walk up style ordering with seat yourself tables there after (though if you have a big party, you might want to send someone to save a table, both indoor and outdoor filled up quickly). Our food was all around very good; seemed to be homemade apple jelly that came with the toast that was excellent. We asked for an extra plate when the food was delivered & they were out of side plates, we also needed a fork as one of ours fell, they were running low on both since it was so busy but they made up for it with quick alternatives/solutions. The big downside and what brought us from 5 stars to 4 were our drinks from the bar. Screwdriver was very watery, and the mimosa didn't have muddled fruit, which was surprising since it appeared to be a full breakfast bar (there was also no garnish for the drinks) & for the price ($16 for both not including tip), we expected a little more. Due to the style of the restaurant, nobody comes to check on you or we would have said something, didn't seem worth it to get back in the line just to speak to someone. If you're going to spend the money on a drink, I'd try the coffee on the menu or highly recommend a smoothie; I tried "the hulk" and it was excellent! read more
