I hadn't been in here in over 20 years as we used to come here from work for lunch in which we would order takeout. My nephew chose this establishment and we had a great experience. We were greeted immediately. Our server was attentive asking if we needed anything everytime he passed by. We ordered the all you can eat meal. The only thing I don't like is if one orders all you can eat then the whole table has to. I'm not a big eater so i only wanted a single meal but i didn't want my nephew missing out what he was craving for so we both had all you can eat. As expected i just ate enough for one dish and let him have the rest and then some. I've heard this happens at all of the Asian restaurants. The food was very good and well seasoned. Came here on a Saturday evening for the first time. We waited about 5-7 minutes to be acknowledged and seated. We ordered the AYCE dinner and were pretty disappointed. It took about 20 minutes for us to get our meats and sides which seemed entirely too long for menu items we cook ourselves. IMO, the AYCE menu is very limited compared to other KBBQ places I've eaten at. They also don't provide sauce trays like most other places do. They bring out all the meats and sides for the first round, but good luck getting your servers attention to order more. Our server didn't check on us or get our second round order until about 45 minutes into our meal. They only had two servers working on a Saturday night so customer service was seriously lacking. One of the servers were literally running in the establishment which I thought was dangerous and unprofessional, especially around hot grills. They are very strict on their fountain soda policy. Don't get caught sipping from someone's soda at your table or they'll charge you extra. The establishment gets pretty smoky with multiple (not all) grills on. You'll probably have to open the windows yourself because getting a servers attention for that would be unlikely. The parking is limited since the plaza area is pretty small. read more

In general, Colorado's KBBQ AYCE scene is still pretty weak even after all these years compared to the LA options. The AYCE menu at Dae Gee is pretty weak. You only get galbi once and the rest are mostly pork belly, chicken, and variations of beef. It doesn't include appetizers like seafood pancake. So unless you love pork belly, I would stay away from it. It's very pricey for what you are allowed to choose from. We opted to order from the menu. I love galbi so that had to be ordered. The other short rib option (don't remember the name) was also added to our order along with shrimp for my mom. Everything we ordered wasn't even offered on the AYCE menu. The galbi is pretty pricey for what we got. It was roughly $35 for a few pieces. I am honestly better off buying it at Costco for more galbi for roughly the same price. Menu is very expensive for the quantity you get. Food was pretty good. The meats were well marinated. The fried chicken was good. The seafood pancake was okay - kinda soft for my liking. I wish it was crispier (could have been thrown in the air fryer). The side dishes were pretty okay. The potato salad was my favorite. The kimchi cucumbers were soggier than I like a the kimchi wasn't my fave. Service was wonderful. There was one person waiting the whole restaurant but maybe they're slower on a Wed. Dae Gee is delicious Korean BBQ I'm all for. They offer an array of appetizers, bon chon (Korean sides) , bee beem bhop, entrees and all you can eat. The all you can eat allows you to cook multiple types of pork, chicken, beef and shrimp on a grill table. You get unlimited bon chon (so many but I really love the pickled radish, fishcakes and cabbage kimchi). You get a bowl of rice (more upon request) as well as steamed egg, chicken dumpling, corn cheese, pineapple and onion. It is a true feast and fun for 2 people or more. They offer beer on tap (several Dae Gee brews) as well as Korean (Kloud is delicious), soju, wine, soft drinks (some Japanese/Korean and coke products) and tea. I want to highlight our server Jookyung who is always friendly, helpful and attentive. She was the only server the last time we went and crushed the multitude of tables at Dae Gee. See below summary for more on this - Soups aren't included - Bulgogi could use more flavor - No garlic I was not happy that we were asked to go through the sampler platter that includes samgyupsal, brisket, spicy/non spicy pork and spicy/non-spicy chicken. I don't want to eat chicken at a KBBQ and I don't really care for pork so why does it feel like I need to do some homework/chore before I can order what I want to eat? That is so weird to me. I asked the waitress if she could take back the chicken, which she did. But we still had to eat the pork, and we did not care for it, and if it was up to us we would NOT order it. Our stomach space was wasted on this. Brisket is why we came. Overall there are better KBBQs out there. Rib-eye, pork belly, chicken, spicy pork, brisket, and short ribs (dinner only, one serving) comes with unlimited sides of potato salad, rice, kimchi, daikon, fish cakes, kimchi pancakes and rice. Use onion and pineapple to flavor your grill before placing your meat on it to cook. Service was attentive and fast. When one of our grill tops got too hot and charred, a replacement was brought out. Don't let this humble location's image deter you, this has bumped itself to my top favorite branch! The owner and her daughter are lovely people. I come in and they humor my jagged Korean from wheb I was stationed there for the AF. They are always so friendly AND they will give you EXTRA kimchi if you ask for some. And when I say EXTRA, I mean EXTRA. Much like true Korean culture, whenever our glasses were empty, they come by to offer more SoMek (Soju and Mekchu--beer). Let start off from reading some of the reviews and trying out this place, i was disappointed. Services was oka i think that as a person coming to try something new they would be happy to help. However, there wasnt any sort of help. Also, the menu was too limited. I think i rather go to a different place. The meat was very limited you can only choose from like 6 items and the meat was very small cuts . The sides we received was oka, i wish there was more sides. The lettuce was a disappointment, it was rotten and the end was bitter. I couldnt eat any of it because it taste very bitter. There wasnt much sauce other then their specialty sauces. The pork belly was so thin and small, the briskets was super thin and small as well. Just a disappointment and i rather go to a different state. I think that it is overpriced for a menu so small. The staff cheated me out of $19. Fraudulent staff or management. Children's prices on the electronic menu and on their website are clearly $19 for children four through 11. My child was 11 and I was charged double the appropriate price and $38 for an adult. I was there Thursday June 9. I went there on June 10 to get a refund for the $19 they owed me. No manager on duty. They had no idea how to resolve this problem other than to tell me to come back today, June 11. They lose. I'll pay $19 for their one star review for lying to me. My wife and I used to visit this restaurant many years ago when we lived in the neighborhood. Last night we decided to try something different, so we decided on Korean barbecue. We talked about different places to go, and then it was mentioned to go back to the place that we had visited before in our old neighborhood. When we arrived, the parking lot was full , and when we entered, the restaurant was about 65% occupied. we were seated immediately, but it seems that they forgot about us after being sat because it took a little time for someone to come to the table. The waitresses name was Dain, I think she did a great job, she was very informative and knew it very well. For the sitting location that we were at inside the restaurant, it was tucked away. Because each of the tables has its own little barbecue station/cooking fire, it was very warm in this room, and I was sweating. Within about five minutes of ordering our food and drink, the food arrived with all the fixings. we decided to go with all you can eat and the meat selection that they brought out was covered for two people perfectly because by the time we were done, there was only a few pieces left. The only thing that we did not care for was, the ventilation was not very good as the air was not moving. With each table having a cooking station with a flame the area became very warm. I think that if they had fan or some type of ventilation in the ceiling to move the air, I think it would've been more comfortable for us and I'm sure many other people. All the side dishes that come with Korean barbecue were awesome, the fluffy egg that we got in the crockpot or whatever it was was delicious. I don't think I've ever had an egg that way. They only give 1 slice of galbi PER PERSON for ACYE. If it's ACYE why are you limiting the best part of KBBQ and also giving the skinniest pieces of galbi I've ever seen in my life AND charging $38 PER PERSON before taxes?? INSANE! These prices are higher than California prices!! The way you order is also weird, we did 4 ACYE and they start you off by bringing every single meat on their ACYE menu (tiny selection of only 5 proteins) including the 1 piece of galbi per person and then you can order additional meats, but it's weird because not everyone wants every single meat like the chicken? We did not have time to stop the server and tell them we did not want chicken. Why would you make a restaurant ordering system like that and then tell the customers if they don't finish you'll charge them. Was not a fan of any of their bottled sauces for dipping so I just asked for sesame oil with salt on the side. The food was good but for the extremely hiked up price and limited selection of proteins it was definitely not worth $38. I want to begin by saying that we have never reviewed restaurant service on Yelp before. We are two servers in the industry and are very understanding people. This particular dining experience was so bad I actually feel Inclined to write something. We were sadly pretty surprised by the waitstaff. It was clear they were busy, and as two servers in the industry, we understand being weeded and needing patience from customers. We asked for hot tea at the beginning of service and got asked two separate later times if "we still want it?" Um, yeah that's why we ordered it. At the second time the server asked us, we just said never mind. We went for the all you can eat lunch special and we did not get our value. They didn't replenish things we asked for and we just knew it was a waste of effort to try to ask again or would be met with attitude. The server looked at us when we asked for more meat and said "as you can see I'm really busy right now and it will be later". Again, as two servers form the industry, we understand the need for patience but the attitude from him was super off putting and we didn't want to order anything else despite the fact that we wanted more. We were happy to wait for his service and give him breathing room but he just made us super uncomfortable and unwelcome. We tipped 20% (we normally do more) because, again we are servers, but were reluctant to do so. We are easy to please but we just wanted to leave. Furthermore, we will just be going to Seoul. Food was average to good. Probably worthy of 4 stars on food alone, but everything is horrendously overpriced. Service was nice. The grilled mackerel was done properly. The bibimbap rice was way too soft/mushy. Short ribs were okay. The pork bulgogi was not what we were used to. Typically i would expect it to be spicier. This one did have some spice to it, but ginger, of all things, was a dominant flavor. That is not typical. The chadol was decent, but they didn't have a good sauce to go with it (should have, for dipping, sesame oil and salt or some mix of soy sauce, water, sugar, and a bunch of other secret ingredients). They provide the tiniest amount of sides. They tasted good, but you have to pay for more and you don't get enough. This is like paying for chips and salsa at a sit down Mexican restaurant. I wouldn't mind going back if people insisted on it, but I wouldn't go back on my own. There is cheaper for better out there. They do have the standard selection of booze available, so good times can be had regardless. read more

This place was great. We went for a double date and all 4 of us got the unlimited meal. There were so many sides and so much meat to choose from. Most of them were delicious! I really enjoyed the brisket, spare ribs and bulgogi. The pork belly (I think -it's the one that looked like bacon) could be skipped as well as the chicken. Came here to celebrate the news that we went under contract a few weeks ago and it was a very enjoyable experience. It has been a minute since I've don't Korean BBQ (well more like 10 years lol) so it was fun to grill my own meats again! We also has soju and beers which were a nice compliment to the meat!
