After reading some other reviews, I realized we may have just gotten lucky because the owner happened to be in that day. Let me say this upfront: they advertise slow black coffee and they mean it! The owner (Brian?) takes his time with each customer, chatting with you to understand what you're looking for and making some suggestions. It's clear he enjoys both his craft and engaging with customers. It was not very busy while we were there, which added to that relaxed, Hawaiian vacation vibe. We really enjoyed the conversation with him and even walked away having learned a few new things. We took our coffee and other purchases to enjoy on the bench outside, along with some stone cookies from nearby. (There were also additional tables and chairs available on a side patio.) Unfortunately, there was a change but for the worst. Each time I visit I pay for sauces I don't receive. That is a form of theft. You guys want to charge for sauces then your employees need to hand them out. In addition, if I order a happy meal there is a 50/50 chance I will not receive the drink with it. If I ask for "no pickles" or "mustard"-which I have to pay for- or any changes there is a higher probability of not receiving my meal as ordered than as ordered. Right now, you guys owe me about 10 sauces from different visits, 3 happy meal drinks, and .20 cents times 5 for each time I didn't receive mustard on my burger. On top of all this the overall vibe I get from employees, mainly those walking food out to the car stalls, is annoyance. Let me explain, your employees come out to the car and practically throw the food at me. This started a few months ago. They're in such a rush and so desperate to give you your food that it leaves you feeling like not returning. I will avoid this McDonalds until management makes changes.
