The raw coffee was not for us, so we will not fault them for that, however for those going raw coffee tastes nothing like normal coffee you will mainly taste diluted coconut milk & your flavor of choice. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. HOWEVER the menu descriptions did not match the food we received. The grilled cheese on the menu is listed to be focaccia with an assortment of gourmet cheeses. What was received was grocery store sliced multigrain bread with a plethora of shredded Mexican blend cheese, something a college student makes in their dorm. The avocado was not great and tasted like something I could make better at home. The atmosphere was good, nice people and cute shop over all but the food not being as listed made the experience less enjoyable. read more

Met this couple when they first arrived to Big Island . So glad we stumbled upon this coffee shop. We expected to get a peaberry coldbrew which is a roasted coffee, but the barista encouraged us to try their raw coffee, which isn't available anywhere else. Wow! We weren't expecting anything special when we stopped on a fairly busy stretch of Highway 11 on our way to Hilo. But it turned out that the cafe was really charming and comfortable, and the owner knows a lot about coffee. He convinced us to try a couple of the cold fruit drinks with green (unroasted) coffee, and they were great--fantastic flavor, sweet without added sugar, and the caffeine boost was very clean and pure. He also gave us shots of the plain green coffee to try, which looked (and tasted) like water that herby greens had been cooked in. Not bad at all, just not something you'd want to drink straight very often. A perfect example of how good clean ingredients can combine to make something amazing! read more

Stopped here after doing the 9-Line Zip Line and visiting the Akaka waterfall. I loved the energy, artwork, and ambiance walking in. Phoenix greeted us with such authenticity, knowledge and personalized recommendations. The coffee here is unique because it's kept raw and still contains all the probiotic goodies. I tend to be caffeine sensitive so when he said that the rawness makes the energy clean with no jitters or crash I was in! I got the Nutty one and my bf got the Creamy Dream. They were both delicious and I feel great! The bathroom is very nice and clean. The hostel prices are very reasonable and I've already recommended it to a friend. Very friendly staff, interesting menu with several food and drink options. My cold brew was a bit unconventional as they are using "green bean coffee" (un-roasted) so it didn't taste like a coffee at all, but was delicious nonetheless! I love trying new things so my experience was great! The cold brew was flavored lightly with blueberry, lavender, and sweetened with coconut milk cream. The flavors were subtle which I appreciated since I do not like overly sweet or "syrupy" drinks. Will definitely stop by again to try something new! read more

Stop by here after seeing the sign that stated Coffee on our way to see the volcano. Glad we did, the Raw Kona Coffee was delicious, I got the one with dragon fruit and mango. Another person in our group got the one with lavender, and another person got the Irish cream. All three were delicious. Food wise, I got the vegan cream mushrooms soup, OMG it was so good. The pineapple breakfast cup was ok. Our group also got the French toast and the avacado toast. Both of them stated it was good. They do take time to make, and the food or drink might be a minute, but it was worth it. Reading review, people were complaining about how it took too long and had to wait. I think the hawaiian word is Ho'onanea, relax and chill. We were on vacation, so we didn't know mind the wait. Going to go back before we leave Hawaiian. I've driven by this spot quite a few times, but stopped in for the first time the other day! It was its own type of environment, quiet and calm with artwork surrounding me. The service was great, very kind and easy to talk to. We got 2 coffees (The Nutty Irishman) which were amazing. If you're a coffee person, try out their raw coffee! I got the truffle avocado toast and added an egg. The meal was SO good, and the avocado was delicious. My boyfriend had the breakfast burrito with eggs, potatoes, cheese and bacon. YUM! All good priced items, and delicious. 10 / 10 recommend. There may be a wait time - but I promise , be patient it is worth it! We also saw a couple walk up to check out the menu and leave (they didn't see the burrito on there) so we rolled down the window and told them they should absolutely check it out! read more

Stopped because the sign said grab n go breakfast burritos. Waited 45 minutes for the burritos to come out. We watched another group leave without their food because of the delay. Tea and coffee were good but we weren't told that we had to fill the coffee ourselves, so we didn't get the coffee for a while. 2 stars because the food and drinks were good and you could tell they take pride in what they serve, but the delay in service took a major chunk out of our day read more

Really cute place with unique idea. They serve traditional roasted coffee, but also have signature raw coffee bean drinks. This method preserves all of the amazing nuturional content of the coffee bean, which is full of vitamins and antioxidants! Love this idea given the volume of coffee farms right here on Bis Island (from famous Kona coffee to, in my opinion, Ka'u's amazing much tastier beans!) Should definitely stop off for this unique experience while on big island or way to work. Prices are very reasonable and the food menu is yummy too for breakfast/brunch kine things.
