Bought some of their soft delights met with some Yelp Elite "King Pins" from the Yelp community- Nadine, Kim and Roz Spontaneous, because this was a spur of the moment celebration of a long running event of the donut community that was added to a meet up with one of the original dash participants 11 years ago that lives on the mainland. Donut King has hosted our dash multiple times over the years- we plan to do a more "formal" uye dash Nov or Dec to coincide with their Hawaii founding and 10th anniversary. Throw tomatoes at me or whatever. BUT!! Holey Grail blows my socks off. Delicious, impeccable, gorgeous, more adjectives!! Their donuts are cakey but soft and pillowy; not too sweet; and have flavors that taste natural from the local ingredients used. I love their Original Sin (basic vanilla) and Strawberry Fields (strawberry and matcha) but I know their entire menu is incredible (off vibes, but still). The matcha (made with vanilla syrup and mac nut milk) is also to die for!! I would also say prices are fairly affordable for the quality. I love this place so much and hope they continue to thrive so I can keep getting my favorite sweet treats.

The hot single is a classic and still my favorite. It's simple but so good, especially when it's fresh and warm. The strawberry fields and lilikoi were both really flavorful, and the chocolate crunch had the perfect texture. They still taste great even after cooling down at home, but they're definitely on another level when you eat them fresh. The service is always really good, and there's plenty of seating, which makes it easy to hang out and enjoy your donuts. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to when I'm in the area!

I went in & asked if there was any chance of getting a wedding-esque surprise donut. The owner I believe (Nick) made us 2 donuts personally, went above & beyond with the presentation, then completely comped them! I was honestly blown away. That level of kindness is rare, & it meant more to us than I can even explain. The donuts? DELICIOUS!! Fresh, beautiful, and absolutely one of the best batters I have ever had. Literally couldn't have asked for better. The whole experience was effortless, thoughtful, & unforgettable. I will be telling this as part of our little wedding story until I'm no longer walking this planet. If you're even thinking about going, do it. Stop thinking & just go. Support this place. I and my fellow colleagues frequent this perfectly hidden Gem buying dozens of Donuts for the team these past 6 years. Prior to that I would visit this shop on my own going to and returning from work as a daily regime. This place was very much loved by everyone you passed by in and out of this business. Donuts, Bear claws, Cinnamon rolls and so much more. Such a sad sad loss that this family owned business is no longer with us. You can follow them on Instagram and order through messaging, pay with PayPal or Venmo and let him know when you will be there (park on the street, he will tell you where) and they come and bring them to you.
