I don't think I've had an experience so positive before! everyone was so laid back, knowledgeable, and friendly. the eye exam and Dr. Park was amazing. I have a heredity eye condition and he not only showed me pics of my eye as he was explaining my results, but also explained the condition in easy-to-understand terms. then the best part (shopping for frames) was probably the best experience. I had a very friendly guy (I think Matthew) help me try frames, narrow down the selection and ended up with 2 beautiful and unique frames. cannot recommend them enough! read more

I'm not a person who enjoys feeling like the are 'being sold something' so i am extra appreciative of how the staff is always so friendly and helpful, without being pushy. I have had glasses or contacts since I was in 3rd grade and I can honestly say that Dr. Park is the best eye doctor I have ever seen. It seems like my eyesight changes slightly each year and Dr. Park does a great job making sure my prescription is just right. I also appreciate that appointments are efficient when I need them to be, but when I have questions or I am just extra chatty, he also doesn't male me feel rushed. Great doctor. Amazing staff. Not only is the selection amazing, but the sales staff are are warm and welcoming and have a real talent for matching glasses to the client! I've been going to Dr. Park and D/Vision Optical for 8 years, ever since moving to Chicago. The staff is SO friendly, attentive, and kind. I always feel welcomed and look forward to my visits. (You can bring your furry friends in, too!) The selection of frames is superb, trendy, and I've been able to wear each pair for years. I have excellent vision insurance so the boutique pricing doesn't bother me, but could be a bit pricey for others (but trust me, it's worth it!). Highly recommend. read more

I went to this place for an eye exam. My insurance told me that this procedure was totally cover. When I set my appointment, I emphasized that my insurance will pay. The said: "Everything is ok, no problem." Now you know what happened. The day of my exam after it was finished. An employee told me that there was an extra charge. When I refused this charge because I was not informed about it before the exam, the guy began to yell at me saying that he will call the police. I was surprised with his attitude. Addundum: 1/15/08 I bought some high-end eyewear! The staff was super friendly and had not even a hint of impatience when I decided to come back to the store 10 times just to make up my mind. They even put up with the drama of conflicting opinions as to which frames were best, which resulted in my companion walking out of the store unannounced! I really trust their fashion sense, and after watching them for a while (while my eyes dilated) I know that they honestly tailor their opinins to each individual person. Best optical experience to date, now I hope to see my future. Expensive but worth it. Old review: I admit I didnt buy anything here but have stopped in to browse and ask questions---I thougt the staff was very friendly and accomodating, even though I was just trying on a few things. Very fun place with alternative (but oh so EXPENSIVE) frames...I may consider them for my next purchase if I can afford it. read more

Just go here. It's fabulous. You're welcome. First off Dr Park is excellent. He's thorough, explains things in a way that's relatable. When I had a concern about something happening, he took my call, we discussed what was going on and I felt completely comforted. The staff however, is another thing. While the Dr. is excellent, they are even better. Everyone one of them. I've purchased 2 pairs of glasses and had new lenses changed out in a 3rd pair I own, a brand they carry. I think every time I've been there they remember my name. AND, my dog's name! They all know each other and get along so well that if one is busy they support each other and all the patients and people shopping are well tended too. Which you'd think is always supposed to happen, but it's rare these days. They have zero interest in upselling, and will just tell you what they think is best for you. If you don't want to add anti-glare or other coating, they don't pressure you to do it. Although after experience with both I just bite the bullet and include them. Especially with so many Zoom meetings, it eliminates the reflection of lights or your computer screen in your glasses. They are very dog friendly and have treats and water. I almost always find meter parking but if you are in a hurry and call ahead they will let you know if the staff parking spot behind their store will be open for a few minutes. If you are buying your first pair of glasses you may have sticker shock because they only carry brands made and produced by well known and well regarded designers. Typically, but not exclusively; France, Belgian, Germany and Japan. Meaning they are not massively produced brands or brands made by Luxottica. That doesn't mean they are expensive, the brands they carry are a great value for the design, material and labor involved in the styles. If anything happens to them, or if I need a little adjustment, I walk in and it's taken care of. Depending on the nature of the issue, it's possible they would replace or repair. That's why you want to work with a local optomitrist with staff who really cares about your eyes and they frames you select, that also has an excellent selection of brands that stand behind their products. Such a great, independent eye ware store. I already had my prescription, so I went to look at frames. All of their brands are independent. The sales people are so helpful and definitely give you a customized experience. They have you try on a variety of options, to zero in on what looks best. And the sales people also give you feedback on the different looks and colors. It was so much less overwhelming than just trying everything on by myself! I ended up with some awesome frames, and a customized fit. I would say if price is a big consideration, definitely ask for transparency in the cost. None of their frames are marked with prices, so that was a little frustrating. But, oh well...I got some frames in a perfect color and great fit! It wasn't cheap, but I thought it was worth every penny to have such a customized experience. read more
