Lots of fun!! Small dance floor but that's to be expected in Tucson. Drinks are great! Good service and music!

Stopped by for a quick lunch on our way from Henderson, NV to Tombstone, AZ and what an amazing…read moreplace! Bellied right up to the bar, got drinks and menus immediately, waited less than 5 minutes to order food, and food was out in less than 10 minutes after that. My husband ordered a patty melt and fries (amazing and the patty was cooked to a perfect rare) and I had a "girl lunch" salad with some of his fries. Michelle was absolutely wonderful and it was lovely talking to her and another patron (may have been the owner!) at the bar about Bisbee and Tombstone. We hope to be back for lunch on our return home - 10/10, would recommend!

Our bartender was extremely busy, but she still managed to check on us regularly (kudos to her for that). For drinks, we ordered a house Cabernet Sauvignon and a draft beer, both were great. For snacks, we tried the chicken wings: half honey sauce (our favorite, crispy and delicious) and half bourbon. The bourbon wings had great flavor, though we felt they were slightly undercooked. Prices are very reasonable. The bathrooms were clean, but they were missing paper towels. Overall, it was a great experience, and we'll definitely be back to try more of the menu

We stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon, not knowing that Social Hour (3-6pm) had started. We had our…read moredog with us so we needed to stay on the patio.T We each had a beer. I had my blood orange wheat and he had a milk stout. We sat on a comfy couch next to a large Bouganvilla shrub with nesting birds. Those birds kept buzzing over us. I enjoyed watching them. The inside is nicely decorated with solid wood tables and an extensive whiskey bar. The beer and wine list is also impressive. Service and ambiance were both very good, but the only thing I wish the place offered were misters for outside seating. We were the only ones outside and we are an older couple, so it wasn't economical to have any misters running.

The reservation was at 7 pm but when we arrived there was no available couch for us and the hostess didn't know what to do with us. Luckily we spotted some friends seated at one of the couches so we joined them. We ordered our food, enjoyed the band and the food. Even though it was extremely busy the waitstaff did an incredible job and the food arrived hot and quite delicious. Definitely would recommend the cheeseburger and the chicken fingers. Meanwhile I asked to speak to the manager so I could get a refund ( to reserve a couch I had to pay around $40). They refused to refund. I called them the next day and asked for a manager and he was happy to process a refund.

It feels like there is ALWAYS something going on here. On my first visit, my girlfriend took me on a date here to catch a burlesque show. It was absolutely packed and everyone had a great time! And every Friday and Saturday night, there is some reiteration of a goth dance night ($5 cover). I also appreciate the slightly older crowd full of my fellow thirtysomethings, and the upstairs patio cannot be missed when the weather is nice. The cocktail menu isn't anything especially fancy, but there's still something for everyone to enjoy. My favorite is always the Prickly Heat--think a prickly pear margarita that's absolutely loaded with fresh jalapenos. It's not for the weak! There's also food, and while it's not mind-blowing or anything you'll appreciate that you can have a nice snack at midnight on a weekend. Surly Wench is a local cultural institution, and we're lucky to have it.

A little too much for my tastes but the bar literarly supports lgb*! But I where I cross the line with Bar patrons in boy make up is arguing with staff after being kicked out of the restroom stall. The awesome security man took control promptly to this upset in the women's restaurant. And the awesome owner basically had that intruder leaving with their member between his legs (acknowledging tr*ns validity at the same time. What tact!). Let's keep the women, and security man restroom clean! The awesome surly patriots at the wench bar made sure to take it to the street and communicate a policy of forgiveness and brutal clarity in making sure certain members of our community cannot go bathroom real quick without a valid state ID or proper members. No one should be allowed to draw on the stall after they are standing outside, I don't care what is wrong with you! God bless these surly patriots for how they protect their American bart patrons. Would recommend the liquor! They have the main ones except Jose Cuervo. Too much graffiti in the bathroom so 4.5 stars. #AlternativeBarAgainstPC

It's even better when you get it straight from the source. What I love: An expanded selection of small-batch beers you won't find anywhere else. There were like 3 IPAs I'd never heard of before. They even had a lager made with pickles! (not my thing, but it has fans). You can also tell right away this spot is great for large groups, and the patio is like 50 feet long--probably amazing in better weather What I like: You can't go wrong with the food, either. I'm a big fan of the southwestern egg rolls (a better rendition of them than a certain chain restaurant). The sandwiches are decent. Nothing really sticks out as a signature item, and nothing is made with a particular beer pairing in mind, but I'll forgive them--it's solid food. When it cools down a bit, I'll certainly return here to try more lesser-known beers and a snack. The location is a little out of the way, but you won't regret going a couple miles outside of downtown for this.

They have great happy hour deals, a solid selection of snacks to enjoy with your drinks, and plenty of bar seating with TVs if you want to catch a game. The beer selection is impressive, with lots of local Arizona beers, beers from around the country, and even some familiar favorites from the San Diego craft beer scene. The bartender was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations for local breweries to check out during our trip. Parking was easy, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it felt like the perfect spot for happy hour, catching up with friends, or any casual hang. What I love: Eclectic draft beer selection that isn't too heavy on IPAs. A TON of wines, including *Superstition Mead* by the glass. An extensive menu of spirits. There might not be a better place in town to discover something new! What I like: Retail in the back--you can buy bottles to take home. Draft wine. What needs work: They have draft cocktails, and while they're boozy I don't think they're very good. Most of them are too sugary. Overall, this is a spot where you can consistently receive good service and better beverages.
