I was expecting maybe a dive bar (which actually would be OK) but no, Louie's Pub is a fine neighborhood tavern. It wasn't busy when we were there so maybe that adds to my rating (I'm not a fan of loud, crowded bars). Judging from the Yelp photos, Louie's can get that way though. - great sittable bar - varied seating elsewhere including high tops - reasonable drink prices - lots of TVs

We had an overnight trip and wanted to visit a place with good drinks and great prices. Louies Pub was the place we pick and had a great experience. Definitely a local bar and loved the ambiance there. We had the pleasure to meet the owner and he was very friendly and polite. Would definitely visit again next's time we are back in town. Thank you LOUIE!

Melissa is amazing! All of my drinks tasted like heaven and got me drunk faster than I could finish a sentence. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and the vibe was amazing. She made me feel at home and made the whole place feel cheery. Go Melissa and her amazing drinks! Ps. Melissa makeup is flossy

A great place to go and get away from the rich. This is a place that reminds you where you came from. Jackie the bartender was super friendly and fun. Customers friendly as well. I received a welcome shot, watermelon tasting.

We came here after seeing the Harley sign posted on the Yelp reviews. We took our Harley from Wisconsin to Arizona for a wedding and wanted to find cool biker dive bars in the area. I thought by the photos we'd have a great time. I was very wrong, not biker at all. Never even saw one Harley sign. It was a group of regulars watching football, and unfriendly bartender. Drink was literally a fruit purée with barely any alcohol I had to force myself to finish it so we could leave after one without seeming rude. No one checked on us, asked if we needed anything. Definitely could feel the "regulars only" type bar, anyone from out of town or not a regular feels a but uncomfortable like you just intruded on someone's party. Maybe it was just an off night, but for anyone thinking this is a Harley Davidson stop it is not at all.

It's kitsch and offbeat, maybe even offputting if you think too hard about the legacy of that family, but it's anything but boring. What I love: They're big on doing their own infusions. You absolutely must try Pam's Spicy Lemonade--Hornitos with thai chili and mint. I've also had coffee-infused liquors here before that you'll rarely find anywhere else. I'm not a smoker, but I get stoked for their enclosed smoking patio with a couple old arcade cabinets (I like Centipede!) What I like: There are like, really cheap simple cocktails with the creativity to make some unappealing, bottom shelf liquors taste palatable. Those aren't my usuals, but I'm always intrigued. I will shamelessly have a couple $3 High Lifes. There's only one big bar in the center of the lobby, but service is generally fast. It's dimly lit and can be tightly packed, but you'll still have fun. Good for date night or groups of four or less. No food, but once in a blue moon you'll find a truck parked out front. Overall, a solid Tucson staple.

Friday night was absolutely packed, loud, chaotic, and exactly what you expect in the best way possible. Jerika was behind the bar handling the crowd like a pro all night long. We managed to snag a spot near the Black Hole, (iykyk). Prime people watching location. Jerika kept the Fun Dip drinks flowing all night and honestly, if you have not tried those yet, do it. Dangerous because they taste amazing, but somehow I woke up with zero hangover the next day which felt like a miracle. This is definitely not the place if you want quiet conversation or personal space. It is crowded, loud, and full of every kind of person imaginable. You are probably going to overhear your neighbor's entire life story at some point. But if you enjoy meeting random people, laughing with strangers, and just leaning into the chaos a little bit, it is such a fun night out! One of my favorite things about the Buff is still the jukebox. I swear it has had the same song selections forever and every single one feels nostalgic. Plus it is super cheap to queue up a ton of music, so the soundtrack for the night was excellent. Another thing I appreciate is how affordable it is. I walked out with a tab that probably would have only covered one or two drinks somewhere else. Super fun night, great atmosphere, and always an adventure.

The fact that they serve Coors Banquet on tap is what drew me to The Buffet! We walked into The Buffet and sat at the bar, which was extremely busy, but the vibe was full of energy. The bartender was absolutely awesome and made my wife an excellent mixed drink. I ordered Coors Banquet from the tap, oh what a joy! Spoke to some regulars of the bar and had great conversations about this place. I learned that The Buffet is the oldest bar in Tucson and the largest vendor of Coors. Very friendly people in a quintessential "dive bar". Lots of character decorate the walls. The prices for drinks at The Buffet are extremely affordable. A night out here won't break the bank. I could easily become a regular at this place (if I didn't live so far away). I definitely will return when when I'm in the area again. My visit here was well worth my time. This is a great place to slow down and enjoy the Iron Horse District of Tucson. As a side note, in reading about this bar, I was led to believe that it was cash only. That is not true, they now take cards.

I was a little nervous after having read the older reviews that were less than stellar. Then I realized that it was under new management so maybe it would be worth a visit. We had the good fortune of having Sara as our bartender. She was amazing! I am a very picky drinker, unlike most people who would be in a dive bar undoubtedly who would be happy with anything. I asked if she could make me something that didn't taste at all like alcohol and she stepped right up to make it happen! I like fruity stuff and the drink she pulled together fit the bill. I also had a Jell-O shot and a bag of Fritos. There's a (modern-day version of a) jukebox as well as an old phone booth in the corner which for whatever reason gave me great joy to see. There are also two pool tables. It's a small place so when it gets crowded I'm sure it's packed. That whole St. Philip's area always has a great energy, and UPH is a big part of that. There's usually a crowd, live music or sports on, and it feels like one of those places where you can bring friends from out of town and know it'll be a fun time. Food is consistently solid. The grilled chicken sandwich is my go-to and it's good every time. We both usually get one, and a lot of the time we'll add buffalo wings, which are some of our favorites in Tucson. Good flavor, good texture, and always reliable. If anything, the wings could always use a little more sauce, but they're still one of the better orders on the menu. The only real issue, and it happens pretty often, is the service speed. Everyone there is friendly, but the place always feels understaffed, especially when it's busy. We've had multiple times sitting outside in the Arizona heat where it takes 15-20 minutes just to get water to the table, and you start wondering if you should go up to the bar yourself to get things moving. Once service gets going everything is fine, but getting that first round of attention can take longer than it should for how often this place fills up. Even with that, we keep coming back. The food is consistent, the atmosphere is great, and the plaza has a real sense of community that makes it easy to hang out there for a while.
