Excellent service. Fun mixologist type drinks. Live music on most Friday/Sat plus karaoke on some weeknights. Cool fellow patrons. Good & interesting food. Fun place to hang or dance. Eclectic acts - from drag shows to blues. Check their event calendar. My only bitch - music ends early for me (like 10pm). But that's how TUC rolls :) A SAFE SPACE FOR ALL.
Great time at the lounge for karaoke Thursdays. The drinks were delicious as always. However the menu has changed DRASTICALLY FOR THE WORST. Everything is made differently with less flavor and finesse. The lettuce wraps used to be standout now they're dry and under seasoned. It's also presented differently which made for an awkward dining experience. I remember being blown away by the katsu chicken sandwhich the first time. This time it was gross. It was not fried like katsu but more so like a battered chicken breast. It always was not pounded flat into a uniform piece of meat but was more so a badly butchered breast that fell apart when you ate it. It was dry, under seasoned, fried way too hard and was stringy. I'd come for drinks and completely pass on the food all together. Not worth the high price tag associated with it. Karaoke DJ was stellar!!!!! Kept the party going and was so fun!!!!!
This was our first time at the Jackrabbit Lounge, and when one walks in it seemed like going back in time to at least the 1970s which is cool and makes the experience different in Tucson. It is dark inside and usually I do not like going into establishments that do not have windows. At 530 pm on a Saturday night, the bar was half full and there were a few tables with people as the band was setting up for later in the evening. We ordered drinks and some appetizers. Perhaps our waitress was just having an off day, but there were a few errors. I specifically asked for our appetizers to come out prior to our main courses as I like to enjoy the small plates before the main course. I want to sit down, taste the food, enjoy a beverage and the experience, and not feel rushed. The main courses came out almost as soon as the appetizers, and the tables are small (there was just my wife and I), and it felt cramped when everything came out. The appetizers were quite good and were the highlight of the meal. The Devils on Horseback (Bacon Wrapped Dates stuffed with Herbed Goat Cheese) were flavorful, but would have been better baked then deep-fried. The Spicy Korean Style Meat Balls (House made Garlic Ginger Meatballs served with Baby Bok Choy and a Spicy Korean Glaze) were excellent! I had the Sonoran Perfect Manhattan. While the drink was ok, I think using the word "perfect" is more of an aspiration. The Kara-Age Chicken Sandwich (Japanese-style Fried Chicken sandwich with our Asian Slaw, on a soft Brioche Bun. Also available "HOT" style with Sriracha) could have been better. I asked our waitress some questions about the food and then pointed out this is not what was described in the menu for example it was supposed to come with Cajun fries, and these were just plain fries. She explained that they were down a cook. I was going to have another drink, but we just decided to leave. Perhaps they just had an off night; it happens. I think this place has potential, and I'd like to experience it more positively than I did.

Looking for a local karaoke spot on our Arizona tour, we came across the Jackrabbit Lounge. We decided to stop. Y and check it out. The first night didn't have karaoke, but what it did have was friendly genuine people who are having a good time and striking up great conversations. We befriended the bartender, who let us know foods and drinks to try out and it was a pleasant experience. She informed us about karaoke happening on Thursdays soooooo we came back on Thursday, met a new troop of people; from different walks of life, all enjoying belting their favorite songs to their hearts content. It was a blast and a great place to stop at whether passing through or looking for a good drink among great people.
This place was a surprise. I walked in and had no clue what to expect. There was live music and the crowd was older than I expected. Service was great and the drink I ordered was delicious! Deviled eggs are fresh. You can tell they didn't make them and put them in the fridge. So I really appreciated that.
I lived in Tucson for 8 years and only recently found out about The Jackrabbit Lounge. It's situated on Oracle Rd., so a bit out of the way of other Tucson nightlife, though don't let that deter you from checking it out! I went in on a Saturday night around 10pm with three others and it was pretty quiet. It's very spacious on the inside so we had no trouble finding a table for the four of us. Their drink menu is expansive, they have something for every taste, and mocktails too. The drinks are beautifully and creatively made, I witnessed the bartender torching a cinnamon stick for one of our drinks, The Saintly Sarsaparilla. They serve food late into the night as well, and although we didn't order any, I've been told their bacon wrapped dates are to die for. Overall the vibes were great and I'd definitely come back again for a night out.
We've been coming here since those crazy covid times. Drinks always, always, always amazing. One might think the food would be not as good. Nope. The food is just as good. Like, why is it so good. We mainly have appetizers and have never been disappointed. Super flavorful and calms it Like a comfort food. Love the vibe of the place. The shows are always fantastic and the place is filled with happy peeps. Quintessentially Tucson!
I went here with a group on a Thursday evening and was pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem. It seemed like a fun place, but was very quiet at 5:30, which I didn't mind.. more room for us! As time went on however, more tables arrived, keeping the server/bartender busy! The service was good and I love that happy hour is til 7:30, giving you some time to get off work. It also seems like they do a lot of fun things throughout the week like live music, karaoke, and I saw a 80s prom nite advertised! I was living the oldies being played. They also have a separate area with pool tables! My Monte cristo sandwich. It was huge and yummy! The Asian salad however is a no go. I definitely should have added meat.. it was just missing something and not fulfilling. The description looked good but I would not order it again. I will definitely have to check this place out again.
Came here on Christmas Eve for drinks with the fam around 6pm. I was told this place had an eclectic vibe and good drinks, and i was not disappointed. They are open until 2 am and they had music playing nonstop for a good time. We had beers and cocktails and the cocktails were delicious. The Bartender was very nice and helpful with the menu and recommendations. We had the lemon parmesan wings, Brussel sprouts, bacon wrapped dates and fries. I had 2 delicious drinks, one the "Miami vice" and another the bartender made when I asked her to surprise me and both delicious. They have different events on different nights. This was decorated for Christmas and they have a pool table and I saw an ad for karaoke and trivia night.
I went here last week on Monday night and was surprised to find a DJ playing to the few customers in the bar. They have a couple pool tables in the back room and a couple raised mini dance platforms. I started with the Velvet Rabbit cocktail but it was too sweet for me. I asked and the bartender said all the other drinks on their list are sweet so I ended up getting a dirty martini which was just ok and then a hard seltzer later. The lettuce wrap appetizer was really good. The fried chicken in the sandwich was really plain. I didn't like the sandwich. The mac and cheese side I got was really good. I would try their other appetizers but not a fan of the sweet cocktails.
My friends and I tried this place on a Saturday night. We had beers, various martinis and a Harvey Creamsicle. All of the drinks were great. The bartender was amazing and managed to take our orders, bring us our drinks, take our food order and run the bar all at once until more staff came in later. We had Mac n cheese, Korean meatballs, fried mushrooms, coconut shrimp, and the hummus plate. Everything tasted great! There was live entertainment singing some great tunes on one side of the place and football was playing on a big screen tv on the other side. Something for everyone!
In Tucson visiting my son, student at University of Arizona. Recommended by owner of the Airbnb that I was staying at (see separate review) Jackrabbit Lounge has a great vibe!... Many tables and chairs! Bar seats about 8-10. Separate room with a couple of pool tables. A stage area which I just missed a Blues Band. Nice cocktail menu and food selection! I believe food is served until Midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. Great value and pretty tasty! See picture of receipt. Will definitely return when I am in Tucson!
I love love love this place! It's so loungey make me think of a stripper bar meets an old world night club. The service is good the chairs are comfortable and they can have some really fun music. The food is great and they have happy hour prices early. This area was amazing back when I was a little kid, it's the missed opportunity that the people of Tucson abandoned. Most of the old hotels and motels are gone and the area has been brought out by gem show people. I'm glad they took care of this place and it's a little bit of old nostalgia of Tucson. Decent sized parking lot. Be forewarned, this is a come-as-you-are joint...they welcome ALL...if you can't play nice with boys-as-girls when they show...find somewhere else. Ambiance/Cleanliness- Loved it!! Dimly lit, true lounge with great decor. It's a little like upscale dive bar meets strip club meets The Peppermill Lounge in Las Vegas, but its own vibe. Clean where it needs to be. 4 stars Service-Hanna was the BEST, taking time to listen to food/drink requests and make solid, helpful recommendations. Circled back a couple times to check status. 5 stars Food-Inconsistent. Devils on Horseback bacon wrapped dates were fire, perfect crunch on bacon. Coconut shrimp needed to be butterflied. Mac n Cheese was wonderful, pulled pork on top needed spice. The patty melt patty was inexplicably rubbery. Nutty buddy cheesecake was perfect. 3 stars Will go again. What a surprise! What looks like an average dive bar on the outside is a surprisingly hip 70's throwback lounge complete with red leather banquettes, disco balls, billiards, great live music many nights, and fun twists on classic cocktails. The crowd is mixed: lots of older folks, but a nice mix of tattooed and hipster friends. The staff is friendly and helpful and damn.... The food is surprisingly delish! Do not sleep on the grilled cheese sammie - thick Texas toast and a cheese pull worthy of critical acclaim! We've also tried the fish & chips (with house-made hush puppies) and the chicken lettuce wraps - all were really good! read more

I went to this restaurant for happy hour (4p-7p) with a group of about 10 on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was only our table until about 6:30/7p. With that being said, there's always plenty of parking. The lounge gives abandoned old school strip club vibes but I appreciate the standout ambiance. They have karaoke on Thursday nights which I would consider going back for. I ordered Ask Alice per the server's recommendation and really liked how light it was yet I could still taste the gin. I ordered the sweet and spicy Brussel sprouts which had bacon so they were delicious. I was indifferent to the garlic parmesan chicken wings I also ordered. Overall, I would recommend this spot for a happy hour with a small group because of the tasty cocktails and the unique ambiance. read more

The Jackrabbit Lounge has such a cool vibe. From the minute we walked in I immediately enjoyed the music they had playing, it was the perfect background for good conversation over drinks. Later in the night they had a live band playing cocktail music with a mid century feel, perfect for dinner and dessert. Neon signs, comfortable leather chairs, pool tables, and some fun photobooth areas. Dropped by for "Hoppy Hour" and the deals were great! $2 Off Small Plates (which they have quite a few of) and a bunch of drink specials. They only had one bartender working for happy hour, so they were super busy but let us know that from the start which I really appreciated. Things just took a while because it seemed like they were a bit short staffed, but we weren't in a rush so we didn't mind. Tried the Herbed Goat Cheese Garlic and Toast which was fantastic, super tasty Parmesan Herb Fries with Curry Ketchup, and Polynesian Chicken Skewers. Food was quite good, though I wish the chicken had some extra sauce or a bit more flavor. Wrapped up with the churros which were filled with a sweet sauce and definitely were the star of the show. Highly reccomend the Jackrabbit Lounge. read more
It's a cute little place! Away from downtown so it's not crowded and easy to park. We really enjoyed the wings and the goat cheese with toast was also amazing! Our server was very nice:) A little pricey if you don't go during the special but definitely worth checking out! read more

Went on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday. Food, service, ambiance were all spot on. They reserved a section for our group. All of the appetizers we ordered to share were really good. The live blues band was lots of fun. Will definitely be back. Thank you! read more
This is now one of my favorite bars in Tucson. Service was great and welcoming as it was our first time. They were very accommodating as we were trying to catch the happy hour. The drinks are averagely priced yet the value is great as the presentation and taste is exceptional. The food was excellent and the parm wings are ones to rave about. The scene is very fun for photos as there are many different backgrounds set up for the perfect aesthetic picture. They do fun activities throughout the week. read more

We had a really great time at this lounge! The food was fresh and the bartender was friendly and attentive. We went for happy hour and enjoyed splitting some small plates that were $2 off. We tried the chicken skewers, goat cheese toast, and the parmesan herb fries and definitely would order everything again. They also had $2 off signature and draft cocktails so we tried the margarita and the bartender made us a mocktail upon request. There was also live music when we were there which added to the experience and we saw signs for trivia night, so we'll definitely have to come back another night! read more

The Jackrabbit Lounge is the place to find the right kind of Trouble -- as in lovely Trouble who hosts Tuesday trivia and makes the whole lounge sizzle. The minute you open the door, it's like stepping back in time to the best of '70s Vegas, with a dark rooms, neon lights, and a hip vibe that makes you want to come back for disco night. The staff is friendly and welcoming (including waiter Syed), and you can't help but enjoy every bit of the kitschy fun, including the plastic jackrabbits that adorn the signature cocktails. Crashed a holiday party at The Jackrabbit Lounge, and loved the 70's vibe, with lots of seating areas, pool tables, go go dancers, and even an outdoor patio. They have a large drink menu, full of many creative and delicious craft drinks and several yummy food options as well. We had an amazing server, who despite being very busy was very helpful and made several great recommendations. I ordered the jackrabbit, which was light and refreshing and came with a cute rabbit. I also had a drink they made for the event, which was Mrs. Clause cookie milk...It had a perfect balance of spice and sweet...honestly one of the best holiday drinks I've ever had. They had a DJ spinning cool 70's songs, with elf go go dancers giving a very studio 54 vibe. There was a mixed crowd and everyone was very friendly. The drinks and food are very reasonably priced. So happy to have found the jackrabbit lounge, I will definitely be back. read more
This place is awesome! They have a retro vibe going on and live music when I stopped by. They also serve tasty plates of food in addition to the bar. I loved my spam musubi and the Brussels sprouts. They have a photo op area set up with different backgrounds and ring lights perfect for those Instagrammable pictures and tik tok videos. It's a pretty cool concept and overall I enjoyed my visit here. read more
