This is one of those places I take anybody who visits Tucson because it is just such an important place. If you're from the area, we're just visiting. Different nights will give you different results, just depending on the event or DJ involved. Maybe just try it out on different nights of the week and also pay attention to the happy hour times and prices to get great deals on fun drinks when it's not so crowded.

I also had a Jell-O shot and a bag of Fritos. There's a (modern-day version of a) jukebox as well as an old phone booth in the corner which for whatever reason gave me great joy to see. There are also two pool tables. It's a small place so when it gets crowded I'm sure it's packed. We showed up at 5 p.m. on a Saturday night so it was still lightly attended which worked great for us to just hang out, drink, and chat. I sat at one of the booths. Service (4/5): You order at the bar. Since it was a Tuesday, I was alone for part of my visit and there with a handful of people for the rest. I had to grab the bartender's attention several times, but when I was able to get ahold of him, he was friendly and efficient. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior and I don't believe they have food anyways. You can order food at Reilly's though and bring it down yourself. Drinks (4/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I look for a creative list of craft cocktails that have interesting flavor profiles and ingredients. Tough Luck Club has a nice menu which gives a solid description of each one. The sophistication isn't quite there but they're fun. One is Game of Thrones-themed. This area was amazing back when I was a little kid, it's the missed opportunity that the people of Tucson abandoned. Hayden was our bartender and a true mixologist. He was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks and the history behind the place, including the artwork created by someone from the University of Arizona's art department.
