Definitely a must-see for anyone visiting Tucson, especially if you like unusual bars with real character.

Some of our AZ tiki friends had told us that they have had both the best mai tai they've ever had here - and the worst mai tai they've ever had here. I ordered a mai tai hoping for the former, but received the latter. While the interior is still cool - the iconic sign is in disrepair and it feels like they're just phoning in a half-hearted attempt at keeping the bar alive - instead trading on its history. A disappointing total miss. 3 stars for the classic interior - but not much else.

This place is a super dive. The place is in a rough neighborhood. I went there with a friend who left his car there because he had one too many drinks. When he came to pick it up in the morning the window was busted out. The truck was parked right in front of the bar and very close to the main street. The place is OK at best. If you want a super dive go to the Mint. Just don't leave your car there. read more
