While in Tucson, AZ celebrating our anniversary we decided to check out a local spot that we heard had a great selection of beers to choose from. Upon our arrival it was like walking into paradise. Hundreds of beers, meads, ciders to choose from and they were all for me lol. The staff and locals were very friendly, offering up advise on local beers and how well they pair with food. Though it was still 100 degrees at 8pm, being able to sit outside, enjoy a nice beer and have a subtle breeze going, was heavenly to the experience. First time trying Arizona Beer House. We were amazed by all the options of beers, ciders and other drinks. We found some canned cider that we discovered on a trip to Seattle several years ago, which was a great surprise. Service was super friendly. The place got pretty crowded and was a bit hard to carry on a conversation and hear what others were saying. Once it cools down and the patio is more pleasant this won't be an issue. It's great that they have non alcoholic options, but wish they also had a diet soda or two to pick from. read more

Arizona Beer House seemed a decent spot to grab a brew but could easily be better. - It's noisy, mainly due to the interior design. - Expensive, although maybe it was a mistake. I was charged $17.50 for a pint and a 200 ml wine. The wine was tagged as $6.50 which leaves ~$10 for the beer (after accounting for tax). Can't be right. - Uncomfortable metal seats. This is my kind of place and I was lucky enough to find it while visiting Tucson. They have a great selection of beers on draft but also a huge selection of single cans that you can drink on site or take with you to go. We discovered this place by chance three years ago. My mother lives in Tucson, but we fly into Phoenix when we visit and stay over at least one night and drive down. ABH was very close to our hotel, so we to check it out. They have some great beers. We also loved everything we've had on the menu. The best part is how friendly everyone is. We always feel very welcome when we come to visit. The only take away is the parking. The lot only has a few spaces, which means you have to park on the side street, which is primarily dirt. read more

We went for Octoberfest 2024, they had several seasonal offerings from local breweries. Unfortunately they had one single bartender working and did not offer flights of the Octoberfest beers because of the long line at the bar for drinks. I stopped by this place last Sunday afternoon. I was immediately impressed with the interior: a spacious square room that once was an auto shop. I sat at the bar with my dog and got immediate and friendly service. I was impressed. I tried three different Arizona beers. They came in small tulips or 12-ounce glasses. Three beers came to $22. Yikes! Most anywhere else I would pay $18. So yes, this is a pricey place. Be forewarned. All that aside, I liked the food truck outside, the spacious interior, and the dog-friendly AND very friendly staff. I even enjoyed chatting with total strangers at the bar, making me feel welcome. I also appreciate the plug-ins for cellphones at the bar. I will come back, but I'll limit my beers to two. read more

Nice little tap house. They had over 20 beers on draft and then tons of bottles and cans in the fridges. I had a non beer drinker with me, and they had one cider on draft and then a whole door dedicated to cider - which was pretty cool. A lot of their drafts aren't just the Arizona area, they had the likes of Colorado and California to name a few as well. I stuck local and had a Tucson beer. No AC in the building, big fans to keep you cool. We also checked out the sexy grilled cheese food truck outside, after I ordered he brought my food inside for me. We had the Monte cristo, which was pretty good, the fries are garlic fries and they were good, served with a spicy ketchup. The taproom itself actually had complimentary popcorn as welll. read more

4 stars cause I would like to see a more detailed beer description menu. You need to order from the board. With that said, the selections are ample and they have a lot of brews on tap. In the refrigerated cases are tons of beers from so many craft breweries around the US. Very impressive. My friend and I selected a brew each and my favorite was the Jai Alai from Tampa - my old home. Then we tried another and settled on our favs. I think they have flights but never really asked. In a lot of breweries that I have tried in the US they will have a flight menu ordering checklist. This place - I don't know how they do it. I love beer and I love tasting not just consuming a pint at a time. They can do little better with regard to explaining ordering options as as I pointed out, the menu details. With all that said, I would go back time and time again. The atmosphere was very casual and comfortable. The garage style doors were open and there was plenty of place to sit. Talking is easy. I honestly don't recall if the TVs were on or if there was music. We sat for 3 hours and talked easily - no disruptions. Lovely experience overall! read more

I started coming here during Covid, great place to pick beer out for gifts! They have a good tap list as well, and usually have Kombucha and Root Beer in their rotation. I only wish they had WiFi and outlets so I could do my homework here because it's a nice open spot! read more

My favorite thing was you can also take fresh beer from The draft lines, and its a reasonable price they have 25oz crowlers 20% off is a deal. The gentlemen's that helped me out were so friendly and very knowledgeable about local beer since I was visiting from Miami, FL. Good beer selection in cans. Beer selection on tap, not so great. However, it was after their Octoberfest, so quite a few of the Octoberfest beers on tap. The most disappointing was the service. Asking about fresh hop beers and being told they have a few somewhere in the first 5 coolers. Looking for something specific in these coolers is not easy. Perhaps, have a seasonal cooler or have a little more knowledge of what you have. From where we are from, places have double the amount of beer options and can still point you in the right direction. read more

The seating is slim so if you can get a table it's great but they fill up quickly, I had a bad experience over the phone while calling to see if they had a local beer I was searching for and they were quite rude. I initially rated a 3 a few years ago, but I'm upping it to 5. They definitely have the best tap offerings in Tucson, and always something I like. Also, there's never a TV in here-- even on those "important" game days. So, that's a major plus. The staff is quick and friendly. My only complaint would be their lack of dog policy. I know most people think dogs are kids, but they really shouldn't be allowed inside. But that's just the norm these days I guess, even though it's a health code violation. read more

This place is great. The format of beer bar and retail beer space isn't something I saw too often east of the Mississippi river, but it's a welcomed sight for me. There's a few great beer bars in the Tucson market and this is one of them. The staff knows and loves craft beer. Recently they added more coolers so they have a lot more beers for you to choose from. Most nights of the week there is a good food truck to eat from if you're looking for dinner. From what I gather you're able to bring outside food if you'd like. In-N-Out burger is near by and there's a lot of good food choices near by. The layout of the space is odd, but the original space probably wasn't intended to be an awesome beer bar. An example of this is how I was unaware of a second restroom near the popcorn machine until someone pointed it out. If you're looking for a cool place to drink awesome beer this needs to be in the conversation. read more

Finally got around to checking this place out as I was on this side of town, after hearing promos for it being a supporter of KXCI. They certainly do have a huge selection of beers both on tap and in their fridges (which, you can take to go). If you're overwhelmed, the bartenders are nice enough to let you sample (or try a flight!). They had a good range of beers the day we visited, as there was everything from double-hopped IPAs to nitro stout and barleywine. The setting is a cool, open, industrial taproom. They even allow dogs! There's a couch in the entryway with a table of assorted board games, and free popcorn! It was also Geeks Who Drink trivia night, so the noise level was louder, but we were still able to carry on a conversation as it was going on. The funniest thing to me is that ABH is located right next door to what looks like an Irish biker bar. The only reasons I knock off a star for this place is my (cheapness?) inability to willingly pay anything more than $5 for a beer. I get that a lot of these brews are local or regional, craft style, and made with good-quality ingredients. But beer is a different realm of beverage to me, and anything more than $5 for a beer should come with A) more beer or B) another kind of alcohol with it, in my opinion. It'd also be nice if this place had (more) outside seating, to escape higher noise levels. But, glad I got to check this place out and sample more awesome Arizona beers. read more
