Wow what a drink selection. Oh and also, the food in front of building is now tied for favorite food in town. Focaccia done well. Nice weekday hang out too. There is a cool stage outdoor space in the back. Well-shaded. The service is friendly for drinks--as well as food. Will come again. read more

This is my favorite spot to relax in Tucson. Excellent beer choices. Friendly staff across the board, regardless of the night. The brews are crafted to perfection. The vibe is awesome and chill. Folks are friendly, and come from all walks of life. And the beer doesn't kick you to the side of the road, it's full of flavor with just enough ABV to keep it interesting. The folks at Slow Body should be very proud of what they have built here. It's a true gem in the Old Pueblo. read more

Came out here for this place in mind for my fiancés birthday. It was recommended to us by other beer connoisseurs and so we made it out... Cute vibe. Great ambiance and decor. I am not a craft beer drinker--so for me--my options were decent. Not my favorite particularly--tried 2 out of the 3 hard shrubs and one of their frozen drinks. The frozen drink was way tooooo sweet to the point of not being able to finish. The shrubs were interesting--definitely unique which I can appreciate. My fiancé--the beer connoisseur--liked the beer. He had 3 different beers and enjoyed them all. He felt they were good 7/10. We came. We drank. We conquered. read more

Get the shrubs! So tasty. NA options. Queer friendly! Holy focaccia is now inside and is DELICIOUS! Vegan options. Back patio and nice seating throughout. read more

4 of us ordered good food from Holy Focaccia at a busy lunch hour then went to Slow Body to find a table to sit and eat it. Six top tables (2 with one person working on a laptop), 2 four top tables and a couple 2 top tables-all full! The 2 6 tops with 1 person took up space for 12 people essentially. This is where the loss of 1 star comes in. We were afraid we wouldn't be able to sit down inside or have to sit at the bar and weren't comfortable with either option or asking to share a table. A single woman working on her laptop saw us and offered to share the table. She got it! I would suggest that table placards(or other means) be displayed that direct people at a table for six to allow sharing(or at least let customers know it's acceptable to share) . And, a dedicated/designated home office worker space where they can share one or two tables with their laptops be added. Otherwise, service was good. The ambience was pleasant and as I said, the food was good. I would go back. But I would urge management to manage the wasted space(and potentially loss of revenue) a little better. read more

So many people have recommended Slow Body and after visiting, I can understand why! Great drinks, good vibes, plentiful seating, with a friendly and welcoming team. The design of the taproom is an awesome, cozy and perfect for bringing a board game or playing one of the ones they have available. They also have comfortable seating with padding in addition to metal bar seats which is so appreciated. Most taprooms pick utility over style or comfort and it's clear Slow Body combined both. This is the perfect place to grab a drink which pairs perfectly with the food at Holy Focaccia which is attached to the taproom. I also appreciate the variety of options including NA. read more

New Tucson brewery and they came out of the gates swinging with some great quality craft beer. And this is a strong compliment coming from a craft beer lover (see my other reviews). The location initially feels cozy but it is larger than it first appears. I love the funky decor of VHS movies and lava lamps. The beertenders are friendly, helpful and contribute to the great vibe. The showcase of the place is the great craft beer. They also have a unique drink called a shrub. I'll let them explain what that is when you visit. Enjoy read more

An ambiance that is definitely different from your normal brewery scene. One that invites the vagabond, or the traditional beer goer. The beer brings a great flavor to the ambiance, and the staff is super friendly to help invite you to stay for more. A great experience to try in downtown Tucson. read more

Finally! I had an opportunity to visit slow body beer. I have heard so many amazing things about this place, especially the vibe in the people today. My evening as well enjoyed attending the birthday parties of two friends who both held it at slow body beer. Tons of familiar faces were here, showing me that this place really is enjoyed. For me, I'm not a big bubbly, drink, gals, so I got the slushy beverage and that was really delicious. I really enjoyed the space with plenty of seating all around in a great patio area. It's fairly close to downtown and has lots of parking as well. Looks like they have rotating food trucks just outside. read more

What's not to like about Slow Body? The space is so inviting, cozy, and comfortable. Certainly a place that you can hang with friends and relax over a drink. It's really spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. The surrounding garden areas are well kept too. It's just such a hidden gem. I don't drink a lot of beer but my husband is a hig fan of Slow Body. We have their beer stocked in our fridge on a regular basis, and the artwork on the cans always catches peoples attention. They also have non-alcohlic drinks on the menu which is great. I love that Holy Focaccia is connected to the brewery and that Slow Body is so welcoming to their customers to enjoy the brewery space during non brewery house. Definitely add this spot to your list! read more

I love this place!!! Friendly staff and an eclectic vibe. The guys that owned it before were part of the failed Biosphere II experiment where they cheated and let air in. The patio's are filled with Sonoran Desert native plants from all over the ecosystem. I'm kind of a plant nerd and have my masters in landscape architecture. I do love interesting plants. What I really love are the shrubs the drink not the plants. Being a none drinker I usually don't have a wide choice, but here I do. There's always a food truck parked outside some amazing some not so good, usually try them. So come by my new favorite place and hang out. read more

This is a newer brewery in the Tucson area, located a stones throw away from Barrio Brewing. The inside is rather narrow, but long, and there's a large outdoor patio that is pretty nice. The place is quirky to be sure, lava lamps, a seating area that looks like a 1970's living room, and a tv/vcr combo showing old movies. There are sandwiches available from a makeshift panini kitchen, but that's the only on site food option. The beers were solid, with the Pilsner being exceptionally good. Service was friendly and efficient, and the price point is quite reasonable. Definitely worth a stop in if you're on that side of town. read more

Tucson is truly lucky to have so many good places to dine, drink and drink some more. This place brings our score up for sure. Love the ambiance, very cool, very "planty" and green, very laid back come on over and have a well brewed beer and take it all in. Green space outside, lots of sitting, doggie friendly and humans welcome too. Everyone slinging beers are knowledgeable and friendly. Come now! read more

Nice spot to meet up with friends to grab a drink with reasonable prices. The brewery has several different types of beers and nonalcoholic options. You do have to order at the service counter. The bartender does not come around to the tables. They have a ton of indoor seating areas with multiple rooms and an outdoor patio. The brewery does not serve food, however they do have food truck vendors that rotate through on location. read more

Busy but large space with indoor and outdoor seating, live music some nights outdoors. Love the aesthetic. They have many IPAs, some good lighter beers answers NA (or spiked) "shrubees". Can be a bit loud on weekend nights, but a very cool space! read more

One our favorite breweries in Tucson. It's nice that it is close to our house and has a very cool vibe and atmosphere. Check out their website for meetups and events, as well as rotating food trucks that are out front. There's indoor and outdoor seating, too. We like the variety of beers on tap and they rotate monthly. They also sell nonalcoholic drinks, as well as their version of seltzers. Unfortunately you can't really sample the seltzers but if you see the dragoon fruit prickly pear, it's good! They have board games and also have old movies on VHS playing in the background. Be mindful of when a meetup is happening because you might have to wait in a long line, otherwise it's not usually too busy when we've gone here at other times. read more

This is such a cool spot to grab a beer and hang out with friends. They offer food only on certain days, so don't plan on eating here. Their beers and shrub drinks are delicious. The beer tender was super friendly and helpful with choosing our drinks. My favorite was the blue beer made with blue corn maza. It was crisp and refreshing, perfect the summer. The inside has plenty of board games and cheese to drink and hang out with friends and family. Cheers! read more

Slow Body Beer has a very chic and vintage vibe with plenty of seating and a nice outdoor patio space. Even though there was a larger line when I got there, it moved really fast and the bartenders were great! I tried one of their hard shrubs, which was refreshing with the perfect kick of spice. They also have non-alcoholic versions of the shrubs so even if you don't drink, you're still able to enjoy a beverage! Overall, the only downside to this place can be the parking outside since there's no dedicated lot and it's all street parking. I'm keeping my eye out for upcoming events and will definitely be heading back so read more

Oh my goodness--what a gem Slow Body Beer is! I'm not typically a dark beer drinker, but their porters and stouts absolutely carried me through the winter. Now that the weather's warming up, I've been loving their shrubs--so crisp and refreshing! The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed and casual, with quirky decor and an unmistakable charm. There's usually an old VHS playing behind the bar, which adds such a fun, nostalgic vibe. They also have games scattered throughout the space, and even the plants seem to be thriving--truly living their best lives! I especially want to give a shoutout to the owner for donating a gift card to a fundraiser earlier this year. It's so heartening to see a local business that not only crafts great drinks but also gives back to the community. Whether you're a craft beer lover or just looking for a laid-back hangout, do yourself a favor and check this place out! Make sure to carpool if you're meeting friends as parking can be tight at times. read more

What a nice surprise. I stopped in on a Saturday evening with 90 minutes before closing. The facade didn't look too impressive, but once inside, I was impressed with the woodsy spaciousness. Pleasant new wave music was playing as I sat at the bar. I had my cellphone charger with me and was able to charge up my phone and get on the wifi network. There are AC outlets along the bar My beertender was very friendly and helpful. i ordered a pint of Willow Belgian witbier (4.9% ABV) to start, which was a smooth wheat. I then had a pint of the Bloom (4.2% ABV), a dry-hopped blonde ale with a distinctive chamomile aftertaste. I would have either beer again. i took home a four-pack of their porter and citra IPA to share with my beer-drinking friend who wasn't with me. Dogs are allowed inside and outside, so I will be back! I like the interior decor, the beergarden in the back and the fact that dogs are allowed. It feels more like a European teahouse than a brewpub, as there are several group tables and couches to lounge on. The lighting is ideal, too. For those who do not drink alcohol, there are several seltzers available that come with alcohol and without. A food truck is parked in the front of the building. read more

We had an alumni event here on a Sunday afternoon and it was a great spot for it. There was a food truck outside and ample seating. They didn't charge us for the reserved table and lots of the alumni hadn't been there before so it was great they got to try something new. The staff was very friendly and made sure our table was free when we reserved it. They were fast, had water and managed a relatively busy bar very well. There were pups hanging out, families playing games and the overall vibe was great. We had the big table in the garage area which was good for conversating. They let me know that their shrubs are gluten free and I enjoyed the nonalcoholic cucumber one. read more

The beer, the vibes, the plants, and the service are all amazing! I have been here twice and can't wait to come back again. First visit I had the porter, very good! I love the ambience here, the seating area and the mod 60s 70s furniture, the place is full of pants and natural lighting. They also serve great beer and non alcoholic drinks. They also have an outdoor patio area that has lots of seating and at night the fire hanging lights give a nice vibe. We came here for a live performance and loved it. I've had many of Slow Body's beers, but hadn't been to the brewery. The beers I've had from them are great. I came to eat because Pronom Pop Up was coming and I wanted to check out the brewery. A few days before visiting, they posted a where to park diagram and wasn't able to find it. Parking there is a challenge during business hours. The vibe of the place is laid back. A good spot for beer knurds. The service was good. A cool thing or a best practice at a brewery is they keep their grain on a pallet or off the ground which is good to see at a brewery. read more

Great beer for session drinking and great bartendeer and you can also get food and music.

Great beer and the service is usually great as well. Maybe because it's a Monday and you had your back up guys there but the 2 dudes behind the bar were horrible. There was barely anyone in the place and it took at least 15 minutes for them to notice me and get me a beer. End of the night I said, yup, we're done and good to go. Ten minutes later I see him chatting it up at the end of the bar and I said " hey man, I said we were done, could I get the bill?" I mean, wtf?! Maybe these dudes were stoned. I'd prefer to think they were high rather than completely obtuse. Bring back the girls behind the bar - they are great! read more

Sensational, hip and delicious !!!! My husband, friend's and I decided to check this spot out second day of opening and it is outstanding! We know a lot of the tap house and brewery owners here in Tucson and we're very impressed at the level of organization concerning all aspects of their business, quality concerning flavor of their beers, and the overall vibe! Opening weekend it's a well oiled machine. Gorgeous mid-century modern, funky interior and I appreciate all the fine, fun details! The bathrooms are spotless with chalkboard paint walls for writing, which is fun and the brewery tables are unique with epoxy fruit gem inlay. I had multiple 5 ounce pours and all styles were delicious. The IPA, pale ale, dark beer, and pub beer were refreshing, and delightful. We are really excited to become regulars, especially in the fall when their meticulously landscaped gardens are cooler. We appreciate this locally owned brewery and are looking forward to coming back! read more
