What a beautiful bar. The building is old rustic but with beautiful lightning and minimal decoration. Their beers are refreshing and delicious. We tried the Pils and the nearly Noble and they were both equally great. They have two bathroom in the back, clean and big. The outdoor patio is great for events and music. Minimal beautiful cacti garden on the side of the building. They have a different food truck most days but now Holy Focaccia opened in the same building but the close at 2:00 PM. What's not to like about Slow Body? The space is so inviting, cozy, and comfortable. Certainly a place that you can hang with friends and relax over a drink. It's really spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. The surrounding garden areas are well kept too. It's just such a hidden gem. I don't drink a lot of beer but my husband is a hig fan of Slow Body. We have their beer stocked in our fridge on a regular basis, and the artwork on the cans always catches peoples attention. They also have non-alcohlic drinks on the menu which is great. I love that Holy Focaccia is connected to the brewery and that Slow Body is so welcoming to their customers to enjoy the brewery space during non brewery house. So many people have recommended Slow Body and after visiting, I can understand why! Great drinks, good vibes, plentiful seating, with a friendly and welcoming team. The design of the taproom is an awesome, cozy and perfect for bringing a board game or playing one of the ones they have available. They also have comfortable seating with padding in addition to metal bar seats which is so appreciated. Most taprooms pick utility over style or comfort and it's clear Slow Body combined both. Came out here for this place in mind for my fiancés birthday. It was recommended to us by other beer connoisseurs and so we made it out... Cute vibe. Great ambiance and decor. I am not a craft beer drinker--so for me--my options were decent. Not my favorite particularly--tried 2 out of the 3 hard shrubs and one of their frozen drinks. The frozen drink was way tooooo sweet to the point of not being able to finish. The shrubs were interesting--definitely unique which I can appreciate. My fiancé--the beer connoisseur--liked the beer. Finally! I had an opportunity to visit slow body beer. I have heard so many amazing things about this place, especially the vibe in the people today. My evening as well enjoyed attending the birthday parties of two friends who both held it at slow body beer. Tons of familiar faces were here, showing me that this place really is enjoyed. For me, I'm not a big bubbly, drink, gals, so I got the slushy beverage and that was really delicious. I really enjoyed the space with plenty of seating all around in a great patio area. I love this place!!! Friendly staff and an eclectic vibe. The guys that owned it before were part of the failed Biosphere II experiment where they cheated and let air in. The patio's are filled with Sonoran Desert native plants from all over the ecosystem. I'm kind of a plant nerd and have my masters in landscape architecture. I do love interesting plants. What I really love are the shrubs the drink not the plants. Being a none drinker I usually don't have a wide choice, but here I do. This is a newer brewery in the Tucson area, located a stones throw away from Barrio Brewing. The inside is rather narrow, but long, and there's a large outdoor patio that is pretty nice. The place is quirky to be sure, lava lamps, a seating area that looks like a 1970's living room, and a tv/vcr combo showing old movies. There are sandwiches available from a makeshift panini kitchen, but that's the only on site food option. The beers were solid, with the Pilsner being exceptionally good. Service was friendly and efficient, and the price point is quite reasonable. Definitely worth a stop in if you're on that side of town. read more

One our favorite breweries in Tucson. It's nice that it is close to our house and has a very cool vibe and atmosphere. Check out their website for meetups and events, as well as rotating food trucks that are out front. There's indoor and outdoor seating, too. We like the variety of beers on tap and they rotate monthly. They also sell nonalcoholic drinks, as well as their version of seltzers. Unfortunately you can't really sample the seltzers but if you see the dragoon fruit prickly pear, it's good! They have board games and also have old movies on VHS playing in the background. Slow Body Beer has a very chic and vintage vibe with plenty of seating and a nice outdoor patio space. Even though there was a larger line when I got there, it moved really fast and the bartenders were great! I tried one of their hard shrubs, which was refreshing with the perfect kick of spice. They also have non-alcoholic versions of the shrubs so even if you don't drink, you're still able to enjoy a beverage! Overall, the only downside to this place can be the parking outside since there's no dedicated lot and it's all street parking. What a nice surprise. I stopped in on a Saturday evening with 90 minutes before closing. The facade didn't look too impressive, but once inside, I was impressed with the woodsy spaciousness. Pleasant new wave music was playing as I sat at the bar. I had my cellphone charger with me and was able to charge up my phone and get on the wifi network. There are AC outlets along the bar My beertender was very friendly and helpful. i ordered a pint of Willow Belgian witbier (4.9% ABV) to start, which was a smooth wheat. I then had a pint of the Bloom (4.2% ABV), a dry-hopped blonde ale with a distinctive chamomile aftertaste. I would have either beer again. i took home a four-pack of their porter and citra IPA to share with my beer-drinking friend who wasn't with me. Dogs are allowed inside and outside, so I will be back! I like the interior decor, the beergarden in the back and the fact that dogs are allowed. It feels more like a European teahouse than a brewpub, as there are several group tables and couches to lounge on. The lighting is ideal, too. We had an alumni event here on a Sunday afternoon and it was a great spot for it. There was a food truck outside and ample seating. They didn't charge us for the reserved table and lots of the alumni hadn't been there before so it was great they got to try something new. The staff was very friendly and made sure our table was free when we reserved it. They were fast, had water and managed a relatively busy bar very well. There were pups hanging out, families playing games and the overall vibe was great. We had the big table in the garage area which was good for conversating. I've had many of Slow Body's beers, but hadn't been to the brewery. The beers I've had from them are great. I came to eat because Pronom Pop Up was coming and I wanted to check out the brewery. A few days before visiting, they posted a where to park diagram and wasn't able to find it. Parking there is a challenge during business hours. The vibe of the place is laid back. A good spot for beer knurds. The service was good. A cool thing or a best practice at a brewery is they keep their grain on a pallet or off the ground which is good to see at a brewery. read more

We know a lot of the tap house and brewery owners here in Tucson and we're very impressed at the level of organization concerning all aspects of their business, quality concerning flavor of their beers, and the overall vibe! Opening weekend it's a well oiled machine. Gorgeous mid-century modern, funky interior and I appreciate all the fine, fun details! The bathrooms are spotless with chalkboard paint walls for writing, which is fun and the brewery tables are unique with epoxy fruit gem inlay. I had multiple 5 ounce pours and all styles were delicious. The IPA, pale ale, dark beer, and pub beer were refreshing, and delightful. We are really excited to become regulars, especially in the fall when their meticulously landscaped gardens are cooler.
