Went on a whim to have a few drinks with some friends. My expectations were low. What I found was really a great surprise. I tried multiple beers and found one that I really liked. The staff were really nice about letting me taste multiple ones and gave me advice on which ones I might like. They had a great selection to choose from. They have old style games set up on some tables which is just really sweet. They also have TVs on the other side of the bar too. I like that there is a restaurant next door and it's connected so you can have the option of eating but don't have to either. The pizza we ate was delicious though. The one down part of it is that the seats are not that comfortable. It would be great if they had some better ones. We left before closing cause our rear ends were numb. I popped in here because it happens to be super close to my house, so I had no expectations. I think the vibe is charming. I love the video games at the tables, not because I have any experience or interest in video games myself but because it's a great idea and implies a certain nerd clientele that I feel at home in. I started going to trivia with a friend for a couple months and had a nice time. I'm gluten-free, but I was pleased to find that there are plenty of cider options, both on tap and in the fridge. I like that there is an eatery in the same building, and I love their Italian salad. I keep meaning to try the gluten-free pizza crust, but the salad is too good. The thing that keeps me from going there more often, particularly during high traffic times, is the lack of mask policy, or even a mask recommendation. I'm especially unnerved by the fact that none of the bartenders I've met wear masks, and that's a highly communicative position that I'd be most worried about, both for their sake and mine. What about Craft? Well, it's very nice inside. They have a video game theme: if you sit against the wall, they have some old school console games running that you can play. They also have TVs by the bar, and I've come a couple of times to watch UA games when they're on big cable channels. The bar is nice and they accommodate social distancing and have a plastic shield over the bar around most it. Beer selection is fine. You'll probably come in and see something you've never seen before, but it's relatively tame compared to other beer bars in town. But this is Midtown, and it's filling a bit of a void by being here, so cred for that. Also cred for the can/bottle selection. This is really where your money should go, because they're either trucking in stuff on their own time, or they've got some kind of deal with a distributor that no one else has, because I've seen stuff in here that I've never seen anywhere else. They also have a small patio, but only with two tables. And they tend to have someone cooking food outside most nights. read more

I'm becoming more and more of a fan of Craft and not sure why it wasn't as much on my radar before. The service is always great and friendly, the beer selection is varied which is really nice and now that Transit Pizza opened the food is delicious! The inside is smaller in size but always clean and it's nice to stop in for a beer or two before getting groceries or just to hang out. They have all the old school nintendo and other gaming system games so that can be very entertaining. Very happy to have this somewhat in my neighborhood! read more

Is there anyway to give zero stars? First off, when we came in, the place was about 1/3rd full on a Saturday night. In other words, it wasn't busy and we sat at the bar and expected to have a beer and just relax. We were going to the comedy show across the street afterward. As we sat the bar, the bartender basically tossed the beer menu at us and walked away. A few minutes later, again the place was pretty empty, she came back and asked what we wanted and seemed annoyed we even wanted to order a drink. She took our order and came back a few minutes later. At that point she gave us our beers. She gave my wife my beer and me her beer. Jill, my wife, mentioned that she mixed up the beers (not a big deal to us but just in sort of fun way) and she stared at her, totally annoyed, and walked away not saying anything. So, we just drank our beers, talked to a nice guy at the bar beside us, and had a good time. When we were done, we asked for our bill. She basically ignored us and walked off. Another bartender, who was friendly, asked if we wanted anything a few minutes later, and we said we'd like the bill. She then came up and said, "Oh yeah, I forgot" and again seemed annoyed. After putting in our bill for 2 beers, she turned the tablet for us to pay. It was 8 bucks a beer (which seemed high compared to every other brew pub or brewery we've been at in Tucson) and then the base tip you could give was 20%. Jill and I almost always give 20% because we know that the hourly wage for service people is horribly low and they depend on tips to survive. However, she didn't deserve an extra penny but we were forced to give her a $4 tip. So, for 2 beers, horrible service, and nothing else it cost us $20. That is absurd. We will never go there again and will make sure everyone we know will not go here also. There are way too many other great places to go to in this city and we've always been treated with respect and treat others with respect and always tip 20% even though many of the tablets/receipts start at 15%. The place looked so cool and we had such high hopes...sadly, nope. read more

This place is relatively new and seems to be under visited. They have a good array of beers on tap. They also offer wine. And they have a regular rotation of food trucks that stop by. Additionally, you can buy bottles of wine and beer to either have there or to go home with you. I noticed a lot of local stuff which I love. And the prices are very reasonable. What is really cool though is that they have four tables set up with Nintendo consoles and a broad variety of older Nintendo games. Mario Kart. Pac-Man. Street Fighter. And so much more! It's really fun to hang out with a few friends. Have some drinks. And battle it out playing video games. Service was good and quick (you order from the bar). And the staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. I most recently went on a Friday night around 10pm and it was surprisingly not busy. On the one hand, we immediately got a table with a console. On the other hand, I hope it doesn't mean that this place goes out of business. Because I intend to keep going back. This is truly a haven for craft beer lovers. They've got a massive tap list of all kinds of IPA's, stouts, porters, lagers, blondes, sours ... or whatever else that seems to be made with hops and barley. And that doesn't include what they have in the beer fridges. You can choose one from the fridge and drink it on site (they will charge you two bucks for this) or take that or a growler of your favorite tap selection to enjoy at home. Not only do they have this humongous selection of brews, but the guys behind the bar really seem to know their stuff. They're obviously passionate about what they do as they can spout characteristics of your chosen brew if you ask. They're perfectly willing to let you sample anything you like. You can choose anything from a five ounce pour, up to a pint. The way cool glasses are marked with measurement to ensure the pour is on point. The space is sleek and and comfortable with TV's at the hightops against the wall to let you play old school video games. They sell only snack type food (think popcorn) but every time I have been there has been a food truck there if you're looking to nosh while you imbibe. This has quickly become a go-to spot for gatherings with other craft beer crazies. They've surely captured my attention. read more

The Nintendo games are also fun to play just in case there is a lull in the conversation. The beer-tenders are very knowledgeable and will help you find something that you will like. Don't let this place go under Tucson! It's a great midtown spot to grab a beer and play a game. At all the tables against the wall they have video games (and hand sanitizer). They have a good tap selection. When we were there they only had one IPA on draft which was surprising but I don't like IPAs so I was all about it. Is it a pretentious "craft beer" Mecca or a neighborhood gathering spot? Probably both. At least it isn't AZ Beer House.

We live in the neighborhood and this used to be our go-to spot; lots of beers on tap to choose from and a nice selection of cans and bottles that you can either have opened for you to drink there, or purchase to take home. But honestly, the biggest draw for us has always Rockbot, which is a DJ app that lets you request songs for the bar playlist, and vote up or down the choices of the other patrons in the bar. No one else in town has it! Lots of conversations start because of Rockbot, and some evenings it turns into a whole-bar competitive activity. When Craft opened back up this fall, we were pleased to see that they had re-upped their subscription to the service, but when we visited this last weekend we were told that the owners didn't want to continue paying for it, so no more Rockbot. Craft is still fine, but without Rockbot we're probably just not gonna choose it over all the other great taprooms in town. I really hope it comes back! read more
