I have heard about this place but always thought it was a taproom selling various craftbeers. I didn't realize that this place brews its own brand, Mosaic, in north Tucson. I stopped in on a Saturday late afternoon, after visiting the pizza place next door. I didn't realize that both businesses are owned by the same people until I had to use the restroom, which is on the Drinkery side, and saw the many options of beer. It's a spacious place but I will agree with others who say the chairs are not the most comfortable. What the drinkery needs is a combination of plush couches and coffee (beer?) tables. I ended up trying two very good beers: the #4 Mosaic American Wheat beer OMG (5% ABV) and the #2 Mosaic Apricot Sunset, a fruity blonde. Both had pleasant mouth feel. I should have had a flight of various more beers instead, as there were so many good choices. My bill for both beers was $13. That's a very reaonable price. The beer tender was friendly and helpful. I sat outside with my dog as the sun slowly descended in the west. I will be back to try other beers and combine them with the pizza next door. read more

Love Craft! It is my go-to lunch spot for great food and service. The beer selection is top notch.

Unfortunately I have to give this bar a low score. Don't get me wrong the beer selection is pretty good, and from what I understand the pizza next door is pretty tasty as well. But my gripes are as follows, during the day there is no designated bartender for the bar, so the wait to get beers can be quite long if the pizza place is busy. And on my visit today, I was told they can't do flights at this time, which was 1:30 in the afternoon, WTF? Please hire bartenders for the entire time the bar is open. This system simply doesn't work! But I will say the guy that did serve my beers was a cool dude, and once he served me he came back and checked on me often. But I still feel the two areas should be separate from each other. read more

Craft, A Modern Drinkery - The beer I waited 10 minutes to get! - Beer Bar Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Craft isn't always staffed with a bartender, so we make it a point to go when the bartenders are there. Dominic is great, and he knows what I am going to ask for before I even sit down. Lots of beer choices as well as a couple of ciders on rotation. The wings from Transplant next door are some of the best in the area, and the Elote Pizza and the Sweet & Spicy are favorites. read more

I haven't been here in about two years but the few times I've been here it was a great experience. A very good selection of beer, good food, and some cool retro video games. I have been wanting to come back for a bit and plan on it soon! 5* = A top favorite. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient or the only option. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = Stay away at all costs! read more

Tasty Detroit-style square pizza slices that are very filling, and a good number of beer options on tap. Patio and indoor seating, with games available. read more

Excellent beer selection. The bartenders are nice, there's plenty of parking, and the general vibe is really enjoyable. Highly recommended, especially those that love craft beer! Lots of local selections! read more

Attached to Transplant Detroit style pizza Craft can offer to satisfy your hunger and your desire for a drink. They decided on a minimalist style for Craft, which looks nice, but is uncomfortable to hang out in for a long while. So it is unlikely that you will stick around for more than a couple of drinks. They offer video games at no additional cost at each of the 4 high top tables The food was good. If you like Detroit style pizza, Transplant does a really good job at making pizza's that have buttery, crispy crusts on each piece. The cost however is extremely high. around $25 per person for a drink and 2 slices of pizza TL:DR - High cost, fun atmosphere, though a bit physically uncomfortable. read more

Craft, A Modern Drinkery - a video game being played - Beer Bar Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

Went on a whim to have a few drinks with some friends. My expectations were low. What I found was really a great surprise. I tried multiple beers and found one that I really liked. The staff were really nice about letting me taste multiple ones and gave me advice on which ones I might like. They had a great selection to choose from. They have old style games set up on some tables which is just really sweet. They also have TVs on the other side of the bar too. I like that there is a restaurant next door and it's connected so you can have the option of eating but don't have to either. The pizza we ate was delicious though. The one down part of it is that the seats are not that comfortable. It would be great if they had some better ones. We left before closing cause our rear ends were numb. Would definitely return! read more

This is definitely a neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name. I stopped in and felt instantly welcome. The bartender is amazing and so are the other patrons. There is beer and wine but no spirits. Highly recommend! read more

I popped in here because it happens to be super close to my house, so I had no expectations. I think the vibe is charming. I love the video games at the tables, not because I have any experience or interest in video games myself but because it's a great idea and implies a certain nerd clientele that I feel at home in. I started going to trivia with a friend for a couple months and had a nice time. I'm gluten-free, but I was pleased to find that there are plenty of cider options, both on tap and in the fridge. I like that there is an eatery in the same building, and I love their Italian salad. I keep meaning to try the gluten-free pizza crust, but the salad is too good. The thing that keeps me from going there more often, particularly during high traffic times, is the lack of mask policy, or even a mask recommendation. I'm especially unnerved by the fact that none of the bartenders I've met wear masks, and that's a highly communicative position that I'd be most worried about, both for their sake and mine. The other thing that makes me a bit nuts is that I don't think their menu pricing and their final bills align. I mean, check out that "itemized receipt." read more

Great selection of draft and canned beers, with excellent pizza next door. The video games are a neat touch too.

I loved my experience here! Kelly was such a wonderful and attentive bartender. 10/10 would come back!

I came to Craft for a drink and saw that they are attached to transplant pizza , so I ordered a drink from the bartender Kelly, talked to her about what I typically drink and she suggested Buenaveza from Stone, it was so good! I ordered pizza and wings (didn't get a photo) but everything was amazing!! Highly recommend it!! Love the atmosphere also! read more

What about Craft? Well, it's very nice inside. They have a video game theme: if you sit against the wall, they have some old school console games running that you can play. They also have TVs by the bar, and I've come a couple of times to watch UA games when they're on big cable channels. The bar is nice and they accommodate social distancing and have a plastic shield over the bar around most it. Beer selection is fine. You'll probably come in and see something you've never seen before, but it's relatively tame compared to other beer bars in town. But this is Midtown, and it's filling a bit of a void by being here, so cred for that. Also cred for the can/bottle selection. This is really where your money should go, because they're either trucking in stuff on their own time, or they've got some kind of deal with a distributor that no one else has, because I've seen stuff in here that I've never seen anywhere else. They also have a small patio, but only with two tables. And they tend to have someone cooking food outside most nights. read more

I have been to most breweries and tap shops in Tucson. This one on multiple occasions (I kept hoping it would improve) has the WORST beer list. Also some of the cans in the fridge are ridiculously marked up on price. I won't be back. Ever . Enjoy read more

I'm becoming more and more of a fan of Craft and not sure why it wasn't as much on my radar before. The service is always great and friendly, the beer selection is varied which is really nice and now that Transit Pizza opened the food is delicious! The inside is smaller in size but always clean and it's nice to stop in for a beer or two before getting groceries or just to hang out. They have all the old school nintendo and other gaming system games so that can be very entertaining. Very happy to have this somewhat in my neighborhood! read more

We were here for trivia and had a blast! The beers were all tasty and the bread was awesome!

Is there anyway to give zero stars? First off, when we came in, the place was about 1/3rd full on a Saturday night. In other words, it wasn't busy and we sat at the bar and expected to have a beer and just relax. We were going to the comedy show across the street afterward. As we sat the bar, the bartender basically tossed the beer menu at us and walked away. A few minutes later, again the place was pretty empty, she came back and asked what we wanted and seemed annoyed we even wanted to order a drink. She took our order and came back a few minutes later. At that point she gave us our beers. She gave my wife my beer and me her beer. Jill, my wife, mentioned that she mixed up the beers (not a big deal to us but just in sort of fun way) and she stared at her, totally annoyed, and walked away not saying anything. So, we just drank our beers, talked to a nice guy at the bar beside us, and had a good time. When we were done, we asked for our bill. She basically ignored us and walked off. Another bartender, who was friendly, asked if we wanted anything a few minutes later, and we said we'd like the bill. She then came up and said, "Oh yeah, I forgot" and again seemed annoyed. After putting in our bill for 2 beers, she turned the tablet for us to pay. It was 8 bucks a beer (which seemed high compared to every other brew pub or brewery we've been at in Tucson) and then the base tip you could give was 20%. Jill and I almost always give 20% because we know that the hourly wage for service people is horribly low and they depend on tips to survive. However, she didn't deserve an extra penny but we were forced to give her a $4 tip. So, for 2 beers, horrible service, and nothing else it cost us $20. That is absurd. We will never go there again and will make sure everyone we know will not go here also. There are way too many other great places to go to in this city and we've always been treated with respect and treat others with respect and always tip 20% even though many of the tablets/receipts start at 15%. The place looked so cool and we had such high hopes...sadly, nope. read more

Ok, while it advertises as a beer hall, it's more than that...i KNOW it's near the University but c'mon...food beats beer...sorry college dudes... We stopped by on a whim, didn't look it up... We LOVE this place... A brief history: i have never had a Detroit style pizza. As a cracker crust kinda foodie, i avoid thick doughy nightmares. Well..... Im HOOKED!!! A complete convert. As follows: It was quiet, maybe 6 lunch customers...WHY??? This place should be packed 24-7... Ok...lunch: 2 side salads (hahahhaa..bool sheet...GIGANTIC is a better description). 1 ELOTE pizza...(ohhhh...emmm.gee...) Seriously surprised to find pasta on a Caesar, but ok...that could use work...but super delicious CREAMY Caesar dressing made ut awesome. Get the Caesar dressing on everything...YUM!!! The pizza: reading the menu, lots of interesting and good choices but i was in a weird mood and the ole brain was having difficulty deciphering elote topping on a Detroit crust...but ok...weird food mood and fusion lust won...HELL YEAH (in a stone cold Steve Austin silent voice) thanks weird brain... AWESOME!!!! Orgasmic, delicious, CRUNCHY, did i mention HELL YEAH!!! A CRUNCHY THICC crust for a cracker crust devotee...say what?!?!?!?! Yep!!! I would gladly give 100 stars if I could. Can't wait to come back for another Detroit style beat down...but if ya wanna be weird and my friend...GET THIS PIZZA!!!! Or anything...the giys across from us had a sandwich that looked to die for and the lunch special the young couple in the back were sharing looked spectacular. Im coming back!!!! Y-U-M-M-Y!!!! Plus big time bonus: STAFF IS AWESOME!!!! Restaurant is CLEAN and bright... Eat here or go home. End of discussion... PS: afterthought...reheats excellently in either microwave or toaster oven. Who's pizza does that?!?!?!? Craft pizza does. Amazing..thanks folks, yum read more

This place is relatively new and seems to be under visited. They have a good array of beers on tap. They also offer wine. And they have a regular rotation of food trucks that stop by. Additionally, you can buy bottles of wine and beer to either have there or to go home with you. I noticed a lot of local stuff which I love. And the prices are very reasonable. What is really cool though is that they have four tables set up with Nintendo consoles and a broad variety of older Nintendo games. Mario Kart. Pac-Man. Street Fighter. And so much more! It's really fun to hang out with a few friends. Have some drinks. And battle it out playing video games. Service was good and quick (you order from the bar). And the staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions. I most recently went on a Friday night around 10pm and it was surprisingly not busy. On the one hand, we immediately got a table with a console. On the other hand, I hope it doesn't mean that this place goes out of business. Because I intend to keep going back. And you should too! read more

This is truly a haven for craft beer lovers. They've got a massive tap list of all kinds of IPA's, stouts, porters, lagers, blondes, sours ... or whatever else that seems to be made with hops and barley. And that doesn't include what they have in the beer fridges. You can choose one from the fridge and drink it on site (they will charge you two bucks for this) or take that or a growler of your favorite tap selection to enjoy at home. Not only do they have this humongous selection of brews, but the guys behind the bar really seem to know their stuff. They're obviously passionate about what they do as they can spout characteristics of your chosen brew if you ask. They're perfectly willing to let you sample anything you like. You can choose anything from a five ounce pour, up to a pint. The way cool glasses are marked with measurement to ensure the pour is on point. The space is sleek and and comfortable with TV's at the hightops against the wall to let you play old school video games. They sell only snack type food (think popcorn) but every time I have been there has been a food truck there if you're looking to nosh while you imbibe. This has quickly become a go-to spot for gatherings with other craft beer crazies. They've surely captured my attention. read more

Love this place! I went on opening weekend and two other times since then and its a nice, quiet place to meet friends for a drink or 2. The Nintendo games are also fun to play just in case there is a lull in the conversation. The beer-tenders are very knowledgeable and will help you find something that you will like. The glasses are clean and so are the restrooms. As a beer and wine drinker both of those are important to me. I plan on returning here! read more

Don't let this place go under Tucson! It's a great midtown spot to grab a beer and play a game. At all the tables against the wall they have video games (and hand sanitizer). They have a good tap selection. When we were there they only had one IPA on draft which was surprising but I don't like IPAs so I was all about it. They have a good little selection of beers in the fridges. And the growlers are very affordably priced! When we went on a Tuesday at 7:30, it was empty so we had the place to ourselves. read more

Is it a pretentious "craft beer" Mecca or a neighborhood gathering spot? Probably both. At least it isn't AZ Beer House.

We live in the neighborhood and this used to be our go-to spot; lots of beers on tap to choose from and a nice selection of cans and bottles that you can either have opened for you to drink there, or purchase to take home. But honestly, the biggest draw for us has always Rockbot, which is a DJ app that lets you request songs for the bar playlist, and vote up or down the choices of the other patrons in the bar. No one else in town has it! Lots of conversations start because of Rockbot, and some evenings it turns into a whole-bar competitive activity. When Craft opened back up this fall, we were pleased to see that they had re-upped their subscription to the service, but when we visited this last weekend we were told that the owners didn't want to continue paying for it, so no more Rockbot. Craft is still fine, but without Rockbot we're probably just not gonna choose it over all the other great taprooms in town. I really hope it comes back! read more

We have been in several times and it is a neat place to grab some brews. It is attached to Transplant Detroit Style Pizzaria, which is a huge bonus. Have a beer and a slice or buy a whole pizza.
