As soon as I told the lady I wanted the basic and didn't want the $60 pedicure she started rushing to finish. She cut my skin by my big toe. I told her to add more polish to cover the edges she missed and she still didn't do a good job. Then a couple of days later the bottom of my feet looked all broken up. I went to D'Lux nails today as a walk in (my normal lady on vacay) and Kathy the owner immediately asked how they could be of service to me. I let her know I needed a rebase, gel color, and reshape. I also stated I didn't want a neo working on me, period. She agreed and obliged me with Linda! Omg! Linda is great hands down. Linda leveled my nail game up on our first encounter-period. ***DO NOT GET WAXING DONE HERE*** I get acrylic nails here, and they are usually pretty good. However, my nail tech yesterday was incredibly rude and insulting throughout the entire appointment. I had decided to get my eyebrows waxed, since I had previously had good experiences here. However, my technician WITHOUT ASKING thinned my eyebrows down to about 50% of what they were. With no discussion she completely changed my eyebrows. This was not a cleaning up and shaking of my natural eyebrows; it was a huge change. She continued to be insulting to me during this process. NOW LET LE TELL YALLLLLL!! I came to this place accidentally once. I used to go to Blue Sky Nails to get my nails done, but I had forgotten to book an appointment, and they were overbooked. LITERALLY WISH I COULD RATE THIS SALON 0 STARS. just left this place and had THE worst experience I don't even know where to begin to be honest. I was in town and needed my acrylics removed. As soon as I sit down the lady starts forcing the nails off... I'm not sure if it's just the nail shops I go to but usually they wrap it in aluminum and let it soak before doing anything. She was SO rough with me too. After she forced about 4 nails off I asked politely, "don't you guys soak it first?" She responded very rudely, "depends on nail"... WHAT, literally always get my nails done and removed and it's always been like that at any place I go to. After a couple nails, she couldn't remove, she pushes my hand it into a bowl of the remover liquid thing. After she very roughly deals with the rest of my fingers and very lightly filed, she adds oil to the cuticles and says "go wash" I wash my hands and of course my real nails are F****ED UP obviously partly due to having acrylics but mostly because of how she handled the removal.... She walks up and to me and I tell her " you actually missed some parts of the acrylic on the sides of a couple nails, but it's ok I guess" she doesn't say a word. Walks me to the register to pay and expects me to insert my debit card when she literally won't move to the side for me to do so.. so I have to ask her "uh can you move over a little?" She looks at me annoyed I put my card in, it goes through, and she walks away without saying a WORD. I look around surprised at how horribly she treated me hoping one of the other 200 employees would come to my aid and ask if everything was okay or AT THE VERY LEAST say "thank you" or "bye"....nothing. Made an appointment, arrived on time and had to wait for 50 minutes to be seen after the scheduled time. My nails are uneven and I have polish on my skin afterwards. The tech only did oil on one hand and didn't finish the other hand for aftercare. During the procedure the tech was rough with the file and it hurt my cuticles and my nail but didn't take me flinching as a cue it was hurting. The only good thing was the tech helped me find the color I was looking for and it was fast. But unfortunately the quality can be seen with how fast it was. First time at this salon. Won't be back. As is typical with many salons, they are trying to cram too many people into the schedule therefore they rush through the job. Had we been a walk in, I may have understood. After my pedicure, they had me sit at the pedicure station while they filed and put my nails to soak. I was left there soaking for 30 minutes after they had taken my daughter to start on her nails. No one ever checked on me to see how my nails were coming along. I finally took off the acetone soaked foil and scraped them off myself. I decided I no longer wanted them to do my nails so I found my daughter and went to sit with her while her nails were being completed. Again, no one ever noticed that I had left the pedicure station. They just picked up the towels and disposed of the foil. I also was disturbed my the cleanliness . The Technician actually grabbed a thing that holds your foot up from another station where it was sitting under someone's chair. I'm going to guess it had been used earlier for another customer. Which also means it hadn't been cleaned. The stations were filthy. I didn't see any extra sanitation happening. There were too many people crammed into the shop. If this is how they maintain cleanliness during a pandemic, I'd hate to see what it was like before. So many people in the shop there was no place to sit while waiting. My daughter's nails came out lumpy and the Technician managed to make 5 of her nails bleed. Not to Mention another customer came over several times to ask the technician how much longer it would be. Obviously she had been waiting a while for her appointment. We left with my daughter's hands sore and bleeding, nails that were poorly done, her hands covered in glue (it was all over the station), and myself with no nails and having done part of the job for them. I hate to say it, but the last time that I was there, the assistant manager decided she would do my nails because the only two people there who are honest and do a good job were not available. This lady told me the service would be $40 for the Dipping powder. She then proceeded to remove all of my nails without telling me that she would charge me $10 more dollars. I somehow gathered (not speaking Vietnamese) that she was going to do that per her conversation with an employee sitting next to where I was telling the asst. Mgr she should not do that. The Asst. Mgr said to her, "I don't care!). At the end of the service when my nails were done (she had dipped them FOUR times making them appear un-natural), she charged me $50 dollars and then smiled sarcastically waving goodbye. NEVER go there. They're Dishonest and will tell you one thing and charge you another. I would not rate this shop at all, but the One Star signifies DISHONESTY, DECEPTION, and Greed and subpar service. Curse to that business. May they go OUT of business or hire honest employees, Not overcharge, Not deceive charges, and endeavor to have integrity.
