This was an experience. I don't like giving low star reviews, but this was just an overall odd experience. When we walked in, it was about an hour wait, that was not a big deal. But then before even beginning service, one of the male technicians asked that I get on my phone and go give them a five star review. I said I would once service was done, and he proceeded to ask me to get on my phone and Google search their salon to add the review, "for 5 stars". That was kind of the beginning of a pushy service that went throughout. Pushy about add-on's, etc. I will not be returning to the salon. Never going back to this place. Manicure looked like my 5 year old did it. Polish applied to the center of my nails but not the outer edges. Looked awful. Pedi was done by a different person. Everything was great until I asked for ONE nail to be filed down a little more cause the corner was sharp. With that, ALL the nails were cut shorter and filed in to this ugly round shape. It was clear this woman didn't understand what I was saying. If there was a language barrier sure wish she would have just asked me to clarify or ask the nail tech sitting next to her to translate. Overall I like this place. Usually they are very busy, and on the average of times I have been, I have had nice service here, though lately I have felt like the services were too rushed. A few times, people who came in before me and were having the same level of service were finished after me. The last manicure I had there, there was something really wrong with the polish where once I got home, I was able to see that it was all bubbled with a raised gritty texture, when there was nothing on the nail polish that indicated that was how it was supposed to be, so it would appear the polish itself was bad. I did not go back to get it corrected due to not having time, so I would say be sure to check the polish! read more

I went with my boyfriend to get an oil change at Jiffy Lube (across from the strip mall that Holly Nails is in) and the guy told us it would take an hour and a half to get us in. So with that being said, I had seen Holly Nails on the way into Jiffy Lube and decided to get a gel-manicure while I was waiting. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted cheerfully. They told me it would be a few minutes, and then asked me to pick out what color I wanted on my nails. After a few short minutes and two colors in my hand, I was escorted to a nail station. One of the colors I wanted wasn't on the wall, so the woman who was doing my manicure searched for them. After she searched for a few minutes, she finally found something just as good. The woman who was doing my manicure wasn't really talkative, but I don't mind considering I can't understand what their saying half the time. She was very fast and good at what she did! She gave me an awesome hand/arm massage after she had taken care of my nails. After I washed my hands, we started into the gel part of the manicure. I had never gotten a gel-manicure before so I didn't know what to expect or how long it would take. It took her about twenty minutes or so to complete the manicure and I was impressed! Even though she couldn't find the exact color I wanted, she definitely found a color that I liked just as much! I really appreciated her going out of her way to achieve the color I wanted. The service was super cheap too! Like I said, I've never gotten a gel-manicure before and didn't see any pricing when I walked in (I could have just missed it in my attempt to get a quick manicure before the oil change was finished) but the manicure only cost me $30! To me, that wasn't that bad of a price to pay for the AWESOME manicure that I received. Also, they had tons of Vietnamese food that they had made and brought it. They were offering it to their clients and being super warm and kind. I can say that I really enjoyed coming here to get my manicure. I will be returning when I need to get another one! I haven't had a mani/pedi in a long time and was looking to treat myself to some pampering. Found this place on Yelp after several searches. You know, looking for a place that didn't charge $70 but a place that would do a good job. Came across this place with good reviews and within a pretty short distance to my place and decided to give it a try. Came in after work, they weren't very busy. They sat me right in a massage chair to begin my pedicure. Woman who was doing my nails was just chatty enough, she knew when to be quiet. Not the best pedicure in the world, I wish she worked on my callouses a bit more, I love walking barefoot and that creates these wonderful feet of mine. She even put zen flowers on my big toes with sparkles and rhinestones - woo! Manicure was good, again not the nest I ever had. Starting to chip a little 10 days later which isn't that bad - I've been giving them a bit of a workout. Also had my eyebrows waxed - now this was a good job, they have never looked so good. Really professional job and wonderful shaping. I will totally go back for another visit sometime soon. read more

I've been to Holly Nails a few times and have been very impressed with the cleanliness and service here. I had actually given up hope of finding a nail place in Denver that would be clean and friendly when I decided to give this place a try. I usually get Jenny or Tina and both of them are very nice and efficient, and I have to say I like the low level of chattiness here. I've never had a problem and I feel the price is on par with most other places I've tried. I have been coming here off and on for years. I think this place gives great value as long as you are careful to specify what you want. Navigating the options can be daunting but I have purchased many manicures, pedicure, gel polish, and other special requests over the years. If you are not satisfied tell them and the owner is reasonable. I have always had a massage chair with my pedicures, sometimes 4 people came. Recently I noted they got new chairs but I wasn't there for a massage chair. As long as you have reasonable expectations about dropping in they usually can accommodate you but not 100% of the time. read more

Holly Nails is a perfectly adequate nail salon with the usual, rather brusque nail techs. The price is good, by Denver standards. (Mani/Pedi $34 with a 10 minute leg massage.) They just re-did the space; it's lovely and clean, but the brand new pedi massage chairs aren't very strong. My main hesitancy to go back is that my tech, Lisa, really guilted me for my less than girlishly tended to toes and warned me to come back at least once every four weeks (not in my budget). I haven't visited Holly Nails in year. Thought I'd give it a try as Cherry Creek is such a headache. The ladies here could not be nicer. My regular pedicure looks great. My gel manicure most likely will not make it through the weekend. To me, a gel manicure is pass/fail. This is a definite fail. I really want to like this place because it's so close to my house, but they cannot seem to get the shellac manicure right. I wanted Christmas-colored nails for the holidays, so I went in a week before Christmas to get a shellac mani. Unfortunately, two of my nails completely fell off 5 days later (one of my nails fell off as I was running my fingers through my hair - meaning the shellac had already separated from my nail and all it took to lift it off was a piece of hair). Terrible! I never saw anyone clean their tools with chemicals, just reuse them between clients. I saw one girl rinse her tools off in the the sink, but no chemical treatments. I got a mani and pedi and both were terrible, worse than if I had done them myself. The polish must have been old because I had bubbles and half my toes were not evenly covered. Rude Rude Rude - Remember Elaine on Seinfeld Episode? Stopped in to get a french polish change. I inquired about the price and was told $11.00 for a french polish change by the posse of non-working nail technicians sitting on the couch. I indicated I was also interested in a french polish change on the manos and they indicated the price was $10.00. I replied that this was regular price and that most shops reduced the price for bundled services. They said "NO," full price, so I stated I would just do the pedi polish change. The posse of non-working nail technicians looked at me with a dismissive sneer and as I was walking away completely eviscerated me in their native tongue. I was able to make out the scoffing english word "discount" several times. Clearly they were having a side conversation indicating I was audacious to ask for a discount for bundled services. What kind of business mocks and ridicules and talks about customers with scorn and derision, right in ear shot? Total Elaine on Seinfeld moment. Anyway, I won't be back to Holly Nails and I'll stay closer to Cherry Creek environs and South Colorado shops where they know how to treat a customer. I got the distinct feeling that Holly Nails doesn't need or want my business. While I agree dealing with nasty foot oder, fungi and hammer toe all day isn't glamerous and could make one "calloused", I still think a respectful customer-centric attitude is important. I just got back from getting a poor pedicure at Holy Nails during which the technician used a DIRTY NAIL FILE (I looked down as she started filing my nails only to see previous customer's wet toenail filings on the nail file), she got short with me when I didn't understand what she was saying (a fraction of an English word), and she WASHED THE FREAKING TOOLS IN THE SOAKING TUB WHILE MY FEET WERE IN IT. So disgusting Also, her "massage" was just smearing lotion on my legs and rubbing my shin bones vigorously - not relaxing or pleasurable at all. My eyebrow wax wasn't much better. The technician (a different woman) did not take what I said into consideration at all. She just did whatever her standard eyebrow service is and plucked the same spot 3 times after I told her to just leave it. My roommate and I went to Holly nails on a recommendation. We both got shellac manicures and regular pedicures, the only reason why I gave it three stars was because my shellac manicure came out really nice. However the pedicures and the rest of the experience were absolutely terrible. The lady that was doing my pedicure snapped at me when I asked her to please clean my cuticles really well because I always have a problem with that. I really wanted to walk out but I didn't. My roommate left without getting her shellac manicure even halfway done because the lady was doing such a terrible job that she decided it was just not worth her time to sit there and suffer. We ended up going to our normal salon and getting her shellac done there. We will never go to Holly nails ever again. read more

What a bummer experience last week. First my pedicure was nice with the exception the polish did not look good after a day. My daughter received a shellac mani and the woman was so rude to her. This place is truly a hidden gem in hilltop area, not only are they always nice to me when I come in but their prices are the cheapest I've ever come across. Went to have that taken off, she spilled acetone on my purse and Charged me for the take off, $7(!) Because I wasn't getting another Mani there.
