Let's begin with a confession…read more I am a grown man who gets pedicures. I refer to the process, affectionately, as "sanding my hooves." Now before the men reading this clutch their masculinity like a fragile heirloom, let me explain something. At a certain point in life you must confront the reality that the feet you've been ignoring for decades are attached to the rest of you. And if you live in Colorado, those feet are eventually going to end up in flip flops or sandals. Enter Etoile Salon, where professional technicians transform what can only be described as feral hiking hooves into respectable human feet again. They truly are superb. Gentle, focused, and extremely professional. No rushing, no chaos. Just skilled people quietly performing the miracle of turning your feet back into something you wouldn't be ashamed to parade around town. For the record, I usually go with The Classic Etoile Pedicure. 35 minutes, $50. It's the perfect amount of time for someone to politely and methodically restore order to your feet while you sit there contemplating life choices. There are also plenty of add-ons if you want. Scrubs, treatments, upgrades. The spa equivalent of "would you like fries with that?" Then something unexpected happened. I started adding color. At first it was tentative black. You know...safe. Masculine. The gateway color. Then came money green. A little flash. A little attitude. Fiscally responsible. And most recently...royal purple. If this continues, by summer I fully expect to be sitting in that chair calmly selecting something called "cosmic mermaid chrome." The owner, Nara, is an absolute rock star. She's been in the industry for nearly two decades and that makes you realize the person working on your feet knows far more about taking care of them than you ever will. But credentials aside, what really stands out is how she runs the place. Nara has mastered the rare hospitality skill of making every customer feel like a longtime regular. People walk in and greet her like family, and she somehow manages to keep everything running smoothly while making sure everyone feels welcomed and relaxed. Which makes sense, because the entire vibe of the salon is calm and comfortable, not rushed. A logistical tip: they get slammed early on weekends. My last appointment was 1pm on a Saturday and it was practically serene. Six chairs, three customers, zero chaos. Now here's the part that tells you everything you need to know. I live in Cherry Creek, which has roughly one nail salon per block. I could walk to several of them while holding an Americano and pretending I'm productive. Instead, I drive 15 minutes to Etoile. Because when someone is responsible for maintaining your toenails, you develop loyalty. So gentlemen, if you've been avoiding pedicures because you think it's not your thing, let me offer a perspective. You maintain your car. You service your HVAC. You sharpen your kitchen knives. Why would you ignore the two things that literally take you everywhere? Go get your hooves sanded. And if you're feeling bold, try royal purple. It's surprisingly empowering.

The first time (first two pics) I got a french tip and the second time I wanted a more nude and rounder look with the french tip aaaaannnddd two of my nails previously broke. Amka used a hard gel to fix my broken nails and also used a mix of really pretty colors to get the specific color I wanted. Her rounded tip is really well done and so pretty!! I made the mistake of going to a different nail salon and regretted it soooo bad that I came back to Etoile and they fixed everything They also give you tea, coffee or water if you'd like. The place is really pretty! I'm going to keep coming back here.

She has done my nails for years, and I now drive over an hour just to see her! She takes her time, makes my cuticles look simply amazing, and does the best french I've ever had, ever! It lasts over a month every single time, shellac is amazing! If you're looking for a great place, check out Best Nails. I'm not sure about the mixed reviews on here, nails are personal and this place ceb definitely get busy! They do their best to honor appointments, which I recommmend, but again it's a smaller shop so I always know there may be a little wait. I've tried A T Nails a few times over the last year or so, mainly for gel pedicures. And the only…read morereason I'm giving 3 stars is because there has been a good pedicure here and there. But, unfortunately, what sticks with me is when they're not. First, they don't actually clean in the nail. They clip, file, and clean the dead skin, but they don't get under the nail to clean the buildup out. Also, when they clip, they don't take care to prevent ingrowns. I've had a couple that I've had to deal with after a pedicure here. I've learned to only ever see Anna, because you'll more consistently get a better pedi with her. However, that's not always a fail-safe. I started only seeing her after her husband gave me a really shoddy pedi. Gel polish chipped two days after the service. I went in to get it fixed, and he blamed me for the chip, even though it was clear there was no way. It's gel, people. You have to do a lot to get that to chip off. And certainly not within a couple of days of it being applied! Since then it's been Anna who has been my nail tech. This last time, unfortunately, the gel polish also chipped. I'd say about two weeks after the pedicure. Similarly, as stated before, that shouldn't happen with gel. I've had a good gel pedicure stay on unchipped for 6 weeks, and it's only because my nails have grown out that I've needed another one. They are one of the more affordable nail salons around, so on the one hand it's hard to beat the price and convenience. But, on the other hand, if I'm barely getting a couple of days or weeks out of the pedi, I'm just throwing money away at that point. I think I'm better off just paying a few more dollars for a longer-lasting pedi. This was likely the last time here for me.

CAUTION THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT FOLLOW STATEWIDE MASK ORDINANCE!!!…read more I would like to say first, that I contacted the owner regarding this issue and have had zero response. Sitting in this salon they play a message over the radio requesting customers to contact the owner with any issues or concerns. I intentionally waited to post this review, giving the owner ample time to respond. Upon entry to this salon you get the impression that they are taking COVID-19 concerns very seriously. But I was very concerned with how little my nail tech Tiffany wore her mask. She was the only one in the salon not wearing one, she only put on her mask when she used the nail drill. Every single customer and employee in the salon wore their masks at all times, except Tiffany. As a nail tech she is exposed all day to the general public, it is quite concerning and completely lacking in care to not wear her mask. I think it is clear that this salon is making a show of effort to keep their customers safe from COVID, but if one of their employees is not wearing a mask all of those efforts are wasted. It's irresponsible and does not follow the statewide mask executive order. The owner should have responded to my message and more importantly should address the way this employee is putting her clients and the rest of the salon clients at risk. Very irresponsible and disappointing! I will not return to this salon!
