This BBQ was insanely good! I got the brisket (he threw in some burnt ends which were to die for), ribs, potato salad and Mac n cheese. You can choose what level heat you want your sauce to have- I chose medium and it had a pretty good kick with tons of flavor. The ribs were melt in your mouth, and the rub on the meats was next level. The Mac and cheese was Smokey and delicious, and the potato salad was a great compliment to all the rich flavors because there was a nice hint of fresh onion, and the tiniest hint of vinegar which balanced out the whole plate. This food tasted of love and passion and there was no lack of attention to detail on this plate. It's not only the best BBQ on this island, but I'd be hard pressed to think of anywhere better... My mother, boyfriend, and I visited D Greens BBQ a few days ago since another yelp review recommended and WOW we are so grateful we did!! We wanted to try everything so we ordered the combo boxes. The meats were SO fresh and perfectly sauced and the potato salad was crunchy and flavorful that is definitely a must try when visiting! I got the brisket platter and he threw in some burnt ends also. My goodness! It was all so delicious! It was insanely moist, full of flavor, and so tender! My hubby got the rib platter and the meat was falling right off the bones as you tried to pick them up! My only complaint would be that I'm a purest and prefer my brisket not sauced. I assumed it would be on the side but it was all over it. I'm sure you could ask for it on the side but I just didn't think to say so ahead of time. Blah. I ordered the chicken plate with mild BBQ sauce and Mac and cheese as my side. The chicken was not fresh at all, and it was very tough. I think it was a Costco rotisserie. Just ordered the chicken and pulled pork bbq from this place. The person working asked what type of sauce that we wanted. Instead of putting the sauce in containers on the side, he drenched all of the food in the bbq sauce. Two people in our group have tomato allergies and can't eat bbq sauce. We asked the man if he could remake our food with the sauce on the side and he flat out refused. Bad service considering he didn't even tell us that the food would be drenched in sauce. Tbh the bbq is not very good. It's not horrible but I wouldn't say it's any special or even tasty if you've ever had bbq in the mainland before. The hot link and the pineapple sausage both need more fillings because they are too soft and soggy right now. The bbq ribs and briskets need more rubbing for flavor and tenderness. Stopped by here to check out the food trucks after walking around the shops in town. The owner is a really nice and chill guy who's from Oakland. BBQ is his passion and you can tell by the food! The ribs are fall off the bone and brisket is super tender. He even threw in some free sausage which was also delicious. I preferred the sauce here over chicken in a barrel's - a bit smokey but not too sweet. Spiciest sauce isn't that spicy for those who are scared of the heat. Would highly recommend checking out this place if you're in the area! Just FYI it's not actually open 24/7 so you have the best chance when you visit after 10am until the afternoon. read more

We have been trying to catch this truck for a while but they are only open on weekends and we never seemed to get over there in time...until today! We ordered the Big Kahuna platter so we could try a little bit of everything in one visit. The ribs, brisket, and sausage were my favorite and the original sauce is tasty! I'm not typically a baked beans fan but these were good! I'll definitely be back for a pound of brisket and beans! In spite of the many reviews about bad service I have to say that my experience was just fine. The menu is pretty simple so I stuck to that and didn't have a lot of questions or a complicated order. To start out: the man behind the counter is rude (I asked if the ribs were beef or pork and he just points at a sign that says pork). I decided on the brisket with the mac and cheese. I was beyond hungry and excited to eat it. You know how everything tastes better when you're really hungry? Well: I sat down with the flys, ants and chickens, open the lid and see sliced brisket (gray color) with maybe 400 oz of gross bbq sauce on top. There was LOTS of fat, and the meat was clearly cooked maybe a week ago (it's no wonder he makes it swim in the gross sauce to try and hide the old). It was beyond gross. Mac and cheese was nasty and also old. Keep in mind I was jittery I was so hungry: I picked up my $20 plate and dropped it in the trash. The fried okra (crisp as you could ask) is excellent and the curly fries with Kalua pork are outrageous. On Tuesday, they have a food truck event which I thought would be fun to join in on considering I've gone to more restaurants then food trucks since being on island. This was the 2nd food truck event I'd been to. I hadn't had BBQ in awhile, other than Chicken in a Barrel, which I love! Anyway, I hesitated to leave this review but glad I waited. Going through the Yelp & Facebook reviews, I noticed a VERY obvious pattern w/ the 1-3 star reviews; customer service, mainly relating to ATTITUDE. Tonight on Facebook, I come across some recent posts & noticed 2 recent pics for ribs & burnt ends were noted as #beef. The owner responded to my question on Facebook w/ very flippant responses which I was taken aback by. Here's the deal; before I ordered at their truck that evening, I asked the young guy who took my order if the ribs were pork or beef. Valid question as their menu does NOT specify which meat type & for those like me, whether it's a personal/dietary &/or religious preference, I feel it's important to know. Like if they're beef, I'll order the ribs, if they're pork, I'll go for the chicken or something else, right? I'm going to say this.... The sides that came w/ my plated meal were great; you could tell they're homemade & the coleslaw was different but very good! Instead of rolls, I received sliced bread. Not a deal breaker that would cause a star loss. But after experiencing that infamous attitude that has been mentioned by others? I don't know if I would come back to this place the next time I have a bbq craving. Heck, Chicken in a Barrel is still my go-to for chicken on the island & that has ZERO to do w/ the owners' response! Anyone who's been there knows what I mean. I understand the owner has a passion for his craft & I respect that, but dude, you ARE running a BUSINESS. Not just having a cookout in your backyard w/ family & friends. It's a different dynamic. People are investing in you & your product. A bad attitude can ruin a good meal. You need to think long term. I may be a transplant from the mainland, but think of all the tourists that you cater to on a daily basis... I was once a tourist. Think of all those people that go back to the mainland or wherever they're visiting from... word of mouth is like bees to the nest; one goes back & tells the ENTIRE tribe, "go here for the good stuff, stay away from there!"... So as I said, the negative reviews have been consistent. Please be more mindful towards people who ask questions about your food. Them ASKING is part of the SALES process. They're called "buyer questions". If I made flippant comments to my clients or potential clients, not only would I LOSE CURRENT business, but you bet your ass word spreads in the industry. ANY industry. Like "don't work w/ this person, they've got an attitude". It adds up over time & you lose BIGTIME. No matter what your day is like, if you're feeling overwhelmed, take a freakin break for 10 minutes! Heck, take a breather. No ones insulting you or your food by asking a QUESTION about it, especially when it's not being answered on the menu or in the step x step order process you've posted. People like your food, so humble yourself for more consistent positive reviews. Keep in mind, Yelp is also a network. So you have people from ALL OVER THE COUNTRY checking reviews about where to go when they're in town. As a business owner, you need to pay attention because this is showing you where you need improvement. It's your choice to work long hours in a hot truck all day. But don't you think that it would be more fulfilling during the times a potential customer asks a question, you just take a quick moment to center yourself & answer it? If it's not specified on the menu, update the menu w/ the correct info so you don't have to deal w/ that question again. Simple. Think about all the questions a buyer would ask ahead of time, have a way to have it answered, or train your people to know the answers. There are plenty of great courses in sales, take them online in your spare time. In the mean time, NOT sure if I will stop by this truck again. When it comes to the future, I know for sure if I got married I would want some kind of bbq catered but I wouldn't want my guests saying the "highlight" of my wedding was how rude the food catering service was... yea, I think that far ahead. read more
