SO EXCITED that our favorite Thai spot has opened their second location so close to home ! The restaurant was so cute , everyone was so friendly. We got several appetizers : fresh spring rolls/ fried egg rolls / chicken wings and the larb salad with beef each and everyone of the apps were so good!!! I do not recommend this place. The food has absolutely no flavor. We ordered the panag curry, spicy basil, and drunken noodles. All with tofu because we wanted vegan. I recommend KOMAL, thailicious, lotus Siam, or Thai 9 instead. The only reason I have a 2 was the service was fast. read more

Besides the crazy spice level, the dressing is perfect. Crunchy, fresh papaya salad, crispy green beans, firm tomato wedges and peanuts. Came with raw cabbage. A good side portion - enough as a meal! My wife and I came in on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't busy, we were the other table. My wife is Thai and I'm "half Thai", so we don't tend to eat out at Thai places much except when they are very good, and this one is. First off, the basket of 4 condiments they bring to your table is a nice touch and immediately takes you back to dining in Thailand. We don't recall anywhere else that does that. We had none of the standard dishes. The boat noodle was outstanding and authentic; it is as good as eating it on one of the boats at Rangsit albeit at a much higher price. The other place that is close was the one on Powell Street in San Francisco, but we think this is better now. Other 2 dishes we tried were the spicy basil with crispy pork, and the Khanom Jeen Namya Pu (not on the menu). Both were equally good, from the strong but not over powering bamboo shoots in the former, to the nostalgic taste of the Khanom Jeen of Chiang Mai. The portion sizes were good. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. By the end of your meal, if you were watching the TV in the restaurant, you would come to know Mark Wiens if you didn't already know him! Hope this place keeps up the standard and finds more success it deserves, that's why I'm writing this review. Go try it if you are in the area. read more
