A very cute and different vibe of Thai restaurant from other Thai spots in Vegas. It's casual but with fun and exotic interior design. There's no server coming to you. You order and pay at the counter first, get the number, and the food will be brought to your table. The menu is rather simple, just like what you might eat at your Thai friends' house, but the flavor is legit. The best thing here is they accommodate a lot of choice of gluten free items, and you can definitely customize your food for health concerns or allergy reasons. My gosh, by far my favorite Thai place to get red curry! Hold me back, I absolutely love coming back for their food. Panang Chicken Curry and the Red Curry with Shrimp is so delicious!!! They make it really well and service is really attentive. They are helpful and make sure our order is always correct. In absolutely love this fast casual street food vibe here. The art work the decor is creative and I love the food. If you've ever dined at Nittaya Kitchen in the northwest the food is equally delicious. The service however was very mixed. Family style eats. Inside looks urban with street art on the wall. Loved the vibes inside. Nice and dim and the steady flow of customers dining or picking up orders. The service was great. My wife and I were saying the bread pudding got out at the right time when we got done with the entrees (placed the pudding in hold per request). A bit pricey but it is worth it. The highlight of the entrees were the shrimp (deep fried in coconut flakes and served with sweet chili sauce) and the bbq pork skewers with sticky rice and a sauce that was tangy/vinegary/& sweet. My wife loves pad see ew and she really loved their pad see ew. I actually loved it too. The dessert was not disappointing either. Tastes amazing and soft and warm. It would've gone even better with vanilla custard ice cream like from Neilson's. The vanilla ice cream was still good but I'm not a big fan of sherbet type ice cream. Still good though! I'm a fan. The menu is based on the vibrant street food culture of Thailand. I am visiting my parents in Henderson and came across this in my feed, so we went and gave it a try last night. Parking was great so was definitely off to a great start. There were a lot of people having dinner but we didn't have to wait and got seated. We ordered the spinach salad, pad thai, pad see ew, thai beef salad, green curry and the kao soi. The spinach salad was the family favorite. Everyone loved it! Each bite was just pure perfection. The pad thai was on the sweet side but still had a good flavor. The pad see ew was my daughter's favorite. Who doesn't love a good pad see ew? The curry had a kick but it was tasty. Thai beef salad was the perfect amount of freshness with the beef. I think the least favorite was the kao soi, it wasn't anything special. The noodles were bouncy but the flavor wasn't anything great. We also ordered the bread pudding and the donuts. The donuts were delicious with the caramel sauce. The bread pudding wasn't what we were expecting and seemed a bit flavorless. Just tasted like sweet bread. The staff was super friendly and helpful too. It was quiet and clean so definitely felt at ease with my daughters. I've been here a few times now. They are a Sister restaurant to Nataya secret kitchen. The world, famous spinach salad is a must try. One of my favorite things at this spot is their drunken noodle. This is more of a walk up in order at the counter type of place. They will bring your food to you and some water, but that's pretty much it. The ambience is great. They have a mural and a bunch of authentic food items set up as decoration. It's a pretty solid Thai food spot and they also have lunch specials during the week. I've seen this place next to Hobby Lobby and have always wanted to try it out, and I finally got a chance to. I walked in, and the place was beautifully decorated and themed. The wall art is beautiful, and there were so many elements that lended to the 'street food in thailand' vibe. Loved it. Service was great for what I got. I ordered to-go, but regardless, the flow is you enter, pick up a menu, decide what you want, and either order at the counter or sit down and order via QR code. I went up to the counter to order. Food... so I can't give this a completely fair shake, because they gave me the wrong to-go order. I ordered yellow curry and tofu fries, but received someone else's order that was green curry chicken, garlic basil pork, and eggplant basil with shrimp. I was already back at work at my desk when I made the realization, and I was out of time to bring it back, so I just went with it. Though they DID give me the Iced Thai Coffee I ordered, that was delicious and perfectly sweet, lol. The green curry was a medium heat and oh my gosh was it spicy for me. Great flavor, could taste the coconut milk in it. The Garlic Basil Pork was really flavorful, almost too much garlic, which is something I never thought I'd say in my life, but I finished the whole thing. I gave the eggplant dish to my coworker; she said it was a little bland and didn't have any heat/spice to it. I'll do another review when I order again. read more

There is a nice outdoor patio in addition to indoor seating. We arrived 30 min before close and they recommended we sit outside - for as long as we want. Lucked out and it wasn't very busy for Mother's Day. Awesome interior decorating! From the outside it looks small but it's big inside and they have an outdoor patio section. I mistakenly placed an online to go order for the Summerlin location and Gabby called the other location, resolved it, and had a refund pending without a beat and cooked my food up hot and quick. The decor is cute and street themed. I'm usually a Drunken Noodle fanatic but the Pad Thai was the star of the show here. We got it combination (chicken, shrimp, beef) "hot" spice level and it was savory, salty, sweet, umami without being heavy at all, I ate way more food than I should have and I do not feel miserable as I deserve I should. The eggplant was perfection! Pad see ew was plentiful and very flavorful. Mostly noodles tho.... Not much broccoli or chicken. The red curry had a nice little kick... Nothing too powerful nor did it build with each bite so it was great! I like that their curry isn't too thick or creamy. The mango sticky rice is fantastic! I believe I've found my new favorite Thai food restaurant in Vegas! We had a big party coming in, a total of 18 people. They don't take reservations because they are a sit down fast food restaurant. They're not like other Thai restaurants where you sit down and they come and take your order. You order either by walking to the register or scanning the code on the tables to order online over your phone then they bring the food to your table which is a genius way of doing it so there's no long line at the register. Back to the party of 18 we had, for 12 of us it was our first time at Block 9. Omar, who was running the register and I believe he's also the store manager of that location went out of his way to accommodate us. He knew it would be too cold outside for all of us to sit so he quickly put tables and chairs together before it got too busy! It worked out well cause all 18 of us were able to sit together and enjoy our food. The food itself is amazing, there were 18 of us so we all had different items! The prices of the plates were better than most Thai places, I felt as they were at least $1-$3 cheaper compared to other Thai restaurants, depending on what you were ordering. My ONLY regret I have was I didn't take any pics of the food!!! It was a birthday celebration for my wife so I was too busy playing host. The parking is great, plenty of parking, the customer service was fantastic with Omar and his crew, the food was amazing! We will definitely be going back and I recommend Block 9 Thai for great food and experience. read more

Found a nearby Thai food restaurant that's quick and easy for pick up. The fried spinach salad is amazing and very addicting. I've had their pad see ew twice and it was good. Along with their panang and green curry. Beef jerky was decent as well. Spicy levels are mild, medium and hot, last time I did hot and it was very spicy! So I stuck with medium. I would say a bit on the pricier side for the portions they give but overall a solid 7/10 read more

We ordered the lunch specials and they came with fried wonton. There wasn't barely any meat in it. They need to triple the amount of meat to make it better. We also got a side of crab wonton. I was craving Thai and these guys were right down the block, so how could I say 9? Block 9 Thai Street Eats appears to be the casual cousin to the more pricey, upscale Nittaya's Secret Kitchen. The menu is fairly simple and cheap, like a lot of Thai spots. The restaurant is located near Hobby Lobby in the back of a sprawling plaza. The spacious interior has a sanitized street feel with lots of wood and faux street carts. The semi-enclosed patio is visible as you approach the front door and could be a nice place for a sit-down meal during warmer weather. However, I had my mind set on takeout, so I phoned in an order on the way home. They had no problem taking it, along with the usual name and number, but I did notice that they didn't ask how spicy I wanted certain dishes. This did come into play later as I ate the dishes at home. The Original Nittaya's Spinach Salad ($10.00) is basically an excuse to have a bowl of the crispiest tempura. The spinach was nice though; of course it would be cooked thoroughly by frying. The acidic, spicy, fish sauce-based dressing is assertive and plays well against the fried batter. The one flaw was the grease that pooled at the bottom of the takeout container. I wouldn't have minded waiting another minute or two for them to drain it properly. The Tom Yum ($8.00) offers a great example of the ubiquitous spicy and sour broth. It comes with a few pieces of tasty shrimp, which are supplemented by some tomatoes and shrooms. It read like a 4 or 5 on a scale of 10, while I prefer a 3 out of 10. I'm glad I had help to finish it. The Basil Eggplant ($15.00) was so tender that I actually found it to be slightly mushy. The red bell pepper was a welcome change of texture. It's on the bland side compared to the other dishes, but it's generally satisfying for eggplant fans. The Pad See Iew w/ pork ($15.00) generally had the right flavors, unlike some places. However, it was a little less strongly sauced than I'd like, it didn't have the most luscious noodles, and it was a bit lacking in greenery. Is Chinese broccoli that expensive these days? The Panang Curry ($15.00) was another spicy dish. It was definitely at least a 5 on a scale of 10. The tiny strands of kaffir lime leaf are low-key amazing though, adding nuance to a rich curry sauce. The white rice, packaged in a separate box, was cooked to the right moisture level to complement the curry, not too dry or wet. Overall, Block 9 is a pretty good neighborhood Thai spot. I'll consider stopping by again during trips to and from a local casino as it's along the main route. read more
