D E Thai Kitchen is a great little restaurant that is worth a stop. I was lucky enough to snag a table for a lunch on a Monday. It definitely is pretty small inside with only a few tables but worth still either calling in ahead of time or checking it out if you're in the area if you wanted to eat in. It also looked like they were doing a lot of takeout orders. There is a fun 'hidden' menu on the chalkboard that I hope to try out next time. The cashier/waitress was super nice - we had a great convo about the food and where I came from. I ended up going with cashier recommendation which was the kana moo grob - the crispy pork with stirfry Chinese broccoli. It comes with a side of rice and can choose the spice level. I went for the spicy! The food came out in about 5-10 minutes. It has a bit of broth which I used to dunk my rice in. The pork was crisped perfectly - a nice crunch and well-seasoned. And the spice level was just right for me - had a few moments of tears in my eyes (of happiness) from the added spice. All-in-all, it was a great lunch dish that was filling and tasty for under $20. Ummmm I'm not sure what happened. We were just here 2 weeks ago.. had an amazing lunch. Tonight it felt like we were at a different place. Taste went from 5 to 2 on everything we we ordered. Portions were so small, we were able to share before with leftovers. Tonight barely able too. This place went from being a new fav to prob will not come back. I really don't like making reviews like this, but it's just too much of a decline all around. Pad See Ewe: 2.5/5 : just disappointing. Portion and taste Crying Tiger: 1/5 if I we were in the buisness of sending food back. No flavor, meh Orange Chicken: 2/5 not crispy and lightly sauced, very soft and super orangy not in a good way. The smallllllest portion l. Nothing like the pics. Spicy Catfish: 4/5 I didn't taste but the table said it was really good Egg rolls 4/5 really good. read more

Limited seating. I learned that you have to call to make a reservation. If you don't, you might have to wait about 30 mins before being seated. When I went, other people that arrived waaaaay after me were seated first since they had an appt. Easy parking. Amazing food! The best YELLOW CURRY I have ever eaten! I would literally go to LV just for the yellow curry! Service is good. read more

Always amazing customer service and tasty, fresh food! The restaurant is small, but always packed which is a good sign.. I order online & walk over from where I work downtown and they always have everything ready when I get there. If you can catch it available, don't skip out on the Mango & Sticky Rice! The best I've ever had. Do note that their levels of spiciness run on the high side, so if you have sensitivity to heat.. think about ordering the lowest number :) read more

OMG ! This is my favourite Thai restaurant in vegas now. Go to the downtown location ONLY. Their other location doesn't seem to be the same. Khao Soi compares to Thailand's restaurant in Mae Kampong. Truly a magical find when you can't be in Bkk. read more

This place is very small, definitely easy to miss. There's a few spots for parking on the side. We shared 3 things: drunken noodles, kana moo grob, and isan sausage. Our favorite was definitely the Kana Moo for its crispy pork. We will be coming here again and making sure to add the crispy pork to other dishes where the option is listed. The waitress was super attentive. Not for large parties but overall a solid Thai place. read more

What is a guy to do when it's the middle of the afternoon and he's craving some Thai food wile in the arts district? Well, thanks to DE Thai Kitchen on S 3rd Street, you go there and order some delicious Thai food! I showed up here during the week and ordered some Pad Woon Sen with Chicken and White Rice. I was able to place my order, come back 20 minutes later and then eat my meal outside. The staff here is always super friendly and they were super helpful checking up on me and making sure I had a great experience at the restaurant. The food itself was top notch delicious and I don't think I could of enjoyed the Pad Woon Sen more. The vegetables had such great flavour to them while the chicken itself was juicy and had some tasty sauce on it. The white rice was some pretty standard white rice but made for a great side and tasted great with that same sauce as well. Overall, DE Thai Kitchen is the best Thai place you are going to find in the Downtown/Charleston area and one of the best Las Vegas has to offer period. The food was delicious, the staff was wonderful, and the location is great as well offering tables inside or outside. Want some good food? Head here, you won't regret it! read more

My favorite restaurant. I love the Kao Soi yellow curry. Service was great but they didn't have water the last time i went so we had to buy bottles water that was very expensive. (this has only happened once, hopefully never again.) Ambiance was great. read more

My buddy and I were ready to see if the gold standard of Thai restaurants downtown (Le Thai) could be knocked off their pedestal so we zipped over here for lunch. This place is really tiny and seats a maximum of 10 inside and one table for two outside so be prepared to wait or make sure you make reservations. We split the Beef Drunken Noodles with a 3/10 level of spiciness, and it was still a little spicy for me... The Beef Drunken Noodles were perfectly cooked but lacked flavor- mostly oil-like with a slight garlic taste. The bell peppers and onions were nicely stir-fried. Service was average at best. Given the somewhat arduous and sketchy location - don't walk here from the Arts District - and overall Average quality of food, I give this place 3 to 3.5 stars. This lil spot is just delicious!!! Had combination thai fried rice and seafood Tom yum soup. Crazy good!!!! Was contemplating getting a second plate of rice but have a dinner to go to. The soup was amazing it had calamari, shrimp ,mussels mushrooms. Just a lil warning I did 5 outta 10 for spicy and that was spicy to me but so damn good!!! And last but not least dessert. Had the mango sticky rice. WOW!!! Not too sweet but just perfect. This place seems a lil hidden to me but if you read this and it sure where to go eat. STOP HERE!!! SO BOMB!!! read more

Delicious pad thai (the thin noodles. Rice I believe). Was staying in the Vegas arts district and went here twice in a weekend. I got pad Thai with fried tofu, yum. spice level 5 and 6 had me sweating. The Thai ice coffee and ice tea were delicious and not too sweet, both helped with the heat of the meal. We also tried kuagling - very good and has more vegetables on the plate which is awesome. Also the pan and curry. It was great. Really nice service. Not too many tables inside read more

We found this little gem hidden in the Ats district. We belong to a "'Supper club"trying new restaurants is what we do. Although this place is small, there is seating outside if the weather is good. The food: WOW! It is that good, just WOW! All of us give it a 5 star ratting. The Tom kha gai soup was the best we have ever had.Service; only one waitress but she hustled and made it happen. None of our dishes was ever cold and was delivered to our table pronto. The restaurant was very clean and had a good "vibe" about it. Such a quaint little shop- only room for a few inside and I didn't see outside seating. However inside was clean and nicely decorated, and the waitress was customer service oriented. We wished there was a sweet and sour meat option, and while the pad se ew was tasty, I should have asked for more brown sauce. I wasn't asked for my level of spice, which I forgot to add myself. The Thai iced tea doesnt have a boba option (so many places don't!) so that's a huge issue as my kids love it. Just some small things in general! I would return with my family (two toddlers who love Thai!) again! Forgot to ask about military discount, however was decently priced. read more

(4.5 stars) If i lived in Vegas, this would be my go to takeout for Thai food hands down. We stopped in for lunch and it was exactly what we needed. Go here! We have been coming here for years and I am so happy I discovered this little, tiny, Thai restaurant near the arts District. I will warn you that their spicy is very spicy! I love spicy food and even getting up to about a five or six here is pretty spicy. We usually can do an eight or a 10 at other restaurants, but a 10 here we actually had to add more coconut milk to lessen it. Everything is super delicious and we haven't had a bad meal yet. But just be warned about the spice! read more

Second time here and I will continue to come because they got the BEST curries! We are big on Thai food and always looking for new places to try. I've been to many Thai restaurants, this is one of the worst Tom yum soup I ever had, taste like canned soup, it's definitely not kitchen-made, and they use wrong vegetable for the soups too, who uses bell pepper for Tom yum soup..? In one word, not authentic at all, very mediocre taste. read more

Every area of town needs a good Thai restaurant, and DE fills that niche in the downtown area. Owners are either from or travel frequently to Thailand and they pride themselves on having authentic dishes and great service. I haven't been to Thailand but the dishes I've had here have been great and the service is personable. Location is cute and clean. Initially came in for the Khao Soi, a curry noodle soup favorite of mine. The version served here included a large chicken leg and I added an egg. The red onion accent was a little overpowering and the egg could have been soft-cooked but the heat and flavors of the curry sauce were so good! Portion size was also good for the price, and I didn't finish my order. I've been meaning to come back or pickup takeout- the Dragon Burrito in particular caught my eye but I hear it's been removed from the menu. Will keep this spot in mind for my next noodle craving. read more

#50 for 2018 Cheap! Prices are a throwback to the 80s with good portions. Not wanting to go back out in the heat we opted for delivery. $3.99 for the service. The $6 Chicken Wings were spicy. You are asked how hot you want them on a scale of 1 to 10. I said 12. It was a tolerable heat still able to taste the sweet honey on a well cooked wing. More like drummets, 9 pieces was a good amount. The $8 Tom Khai was very nice. Lemon grass with coconut milk is such a good combination. The chicken, although flat, was not a pleasant chew as I've come to know this dish. Still tasteful. Good to pour over rice. Vegetable $7 Pad See Eiw did not taste like any other Pad See Eiw I've had before. Maybe because this was the 1st time I've ordered a vegetable one instead of pork or chicken. The taste was all right just not what I expected. The noodles were good that's what makes this dish but the vegetables were a little over cooked. $8 for the Ginger Garlic Pork was well worth it for this dish. Love the garlic ginger taste combining the pork and vegetables. This was put together nicely and not over cooked. To complete the order I added 2 $1.50 cokes and 1 $2.50 thai ice tea. Nobody took the thai ice tea so it was saved for the next day. When we did decide to have it, in the late evening, it was still good. And, that's an excellent price. Overall I was happy with the meal. It was delivered when everything was still hot. It came in 35 minutes. I also ordered this at 8:15pm, they close at 9pm, the lady was nice and pleasant taking my order. read more

Chef/owner Jompon growing up as a child he was exposed to the food scenes from all over the country authentic traditional home cooking , restaurants and street food. Lived in 3 differents regions of Thailand and experienced many different food cultures. Immigrated to the State when he was 17 years old to go to school and worked in the Casino’s restaurant as a busser at the same time worked his way up to be a casino chef by the time he was 19. Where do you park? I tried parking on the side and no spaces. I tried to park in the other lot and security said we could not park there either.

There are about 6 spaces next to the building. There are 3 tables inside and 1 outside so it does the job. No street parking right outside.
