The service was amazing, and I wish I knew the servers name; he was very nice and attentive and checked on us a pleasant amount of times ensuring the food was good and our drinks were full. I don't quite understand why there was no one else in the restaurant, we had the entire place to ourselves which I am not complaining over but they do deserve more patrons. My friends and I ordered a few dishes to share: Panang Curry (chicken), Pad Thai (shrimp), and Mongolian Beef. They also offer vegan options but we didn't try any of them. The mongolian beef didn't have much meat, mostly veggies. Pad thai was savory, which was different from what I'm used to but we found it enjoyable. It was flavorful. I chose spice level 2 for the panang curry. We all loved it, but my friends found it too spicy. Since I love spicy food, it was perfect for me. They have live music here. I don't know if they play every night or just on weekends (we went on a Sunday). The band started playing around 7:30pm, just after we finished eating and had already paid. We wanted to hear them play, so we stayed for a little bit, and they were great. We were gonna go somewhere to have dessert, but decided to order desserts here instead. We got the Mango Sicky Rice and Sweet Roti. The mango sticky rice was disappointing. The mango was warm and the rice was crunchy. On the other hand, we loved the sweet roti. It was soft and buttery. Came out from California for SEMA 2025 and wanted to try a new spot with the family. Found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot -- so glad we did! As soon as we walked in, we were surprised with live music, which set such a fun vibe. The service was friendly and on point, and the food portions were great (we just wished the Pad kee Mao came with a little more -- it was that good!). This place located on a second floor. We ordered pad thai, pad see ew with fried egg, fish cakes and they forgot the egg until we finished. The fish cake was the only thing that tasted good. They do have a live music and the musician was putting all his afford to interact with guests. Service was a bit slow when there are only us and one other customer in the store. They were going back and forth on order. I think they also messed up the other customer customer but not sure on that. Yay for random finds !We were originally going to a dim sum place but since it was closed we drove around and came across this place. Coming in we were greeted right away and we were sat right away. Our server was nice and checked in on us often. We ordered the shrimp tum yum ,chicken yellow curry, and the drunken noodles. All the food was delicious and very flavorful and made fresh. The spicy levels are 1-5 and five being the spiciest we got a level two and was just right enough kick but not to overwhelming. Our favorite go to Thai restaurant is in the middle of opening a new location, so we weren't able to eat it this trip. We were in the mood to eat Thai so we tried this place. We were greeted promptly by their wait staff and sat down. We ordered shumai, drunken noodles and Basil Scent. The Basil Scent was full of flavor and amazing. As for the Drunken Noodles, I was disappointed because it lacked any type of flavor/spice. I don't know if they forgot to add it or that's how they make it. It was the worst drunken noodles I've ever had. I will say the Basil Scent saved this place for us. I even took some of the leftover sauce and put it on the drunken noodles. If I had to pick one word to describe Baan Thai, it would be "uninspiring". That's not to say Baan Thai is a bad restaurant. It's perfectly average, but doesn't stack up against other options in its plaza and neighborhood and didn't live up to the high praise it's received here and elsewhere for me. Why did it feel so uninspiring? First off, the decor. I try really hard to avoid factoring a restaurant's decor too heavily into any rating I give because I go to restaurants to eat food, not stare at walls and fixtures, but most restaurants don't have a pulsating security light hanging over the front door and flashing bright white beams every second, washing the entire restaurant in light with each harsh blast. Baan Thai does, unfortunately, and it detracts greatly from the dining experience. The food is fine. It isn't special. I ordered Mongolian beef; it was okay, but wasn't worth the price I'd pay for it. My meal tasted oddly neutered besides its spice level, as if it had something it wanted to say but wasn't quite sure how. The wait staff was polite and professional and Baan Thai brings the spice, something many other restaurants in Chinatown seem to hold back on, but the food just wasn't there otherwise. It wasn't memorable and wasn't what every review I'd read had built it up to be. Baan Thai, I'd really like to enjoy you, and will be back to give you another try at some point... but please, for the love of God, do something about your security light. read more

I'm always down for more Vegan options, and Baan's a great one, serving various Thai dishes outside of a nice second-floor space in the busy Asian Pacific plaza. I've only grabbed takeout, which is conveniently linked through the Eat24 app. The vegan menu is extensive, and my first choices were a fried tofu larb with veggie crispy rolls. The larb had a great dressing, with fresh and crunchy veggies and ample tofu. The rolls were packaged in a cardboard folding box to keep it from getting soggy. Looking forward to trying their curries and various rice dishes next time- a friend is a big fan of their avocado curry and crab fried rice, so that'll probably be my next order. read more

TLDR; A great spread of vegan options for all the classic Thai dishes plus they still offer meat versions as well. A decent place if you have a mix of vegan and meat eaters. Not the best Thai food I've had in the Vegas area but at least worth a try if you haven't been before. Service I placed a Togo order for my visit. I waited on the phone for a while before someone answered but they took my order quickly once they did and the food was estimated to be ready very quickly after ordering. When I arrived there was nobody at the front. A couple of servers and bussers looked at me but didn't great or acknowledge me. After a couple minutes somebody came out to take care of my order/payment Environment The store seemed pretty clean and had a lot of wood furniture. The only thing to note if you are coming to eat here is that it is on the second floor of the plaza area in case you have anyone that has trouble going up stairs or elderly. Food Overall the food was very average compared to other Thai restaurants in the area. I would however be willing to give them another shot at some point and try dining in to see if the experience is better Vegan Soy Orange Chicken I was very excited for this but was a little disappointed in the result. Most Chinese/Thai restaurants in the area usually put the sauce on the side for fried dishes like this or at least ask for it on the side for togo orders. It was my mistake for not double checking if they do or don't. The breading became like a bread sponge and was soggy and had no crunch or texture on the outside whatsoever. I picked up the food right when it was ready and ate it 10 minutes later and the exterior was like soggy bread. The sauce and chicken were really good. I'm interested to see how crispy this dish actually could be dining in. This was the worst "Thai" food I've ever had. I ordered pad Thai, yellow Curry and banana pie.... Banana pie? It was a A QUARTER of a banana smashed and deep fried....FOR $6!!!!!! 1 banana cost 25cents they took half the banana and charged $6.....like literally no sauce no "pie" it was just deep fried lol Pad Thai was made with linguini noodles rather than authentic Thai noodles and there was no sauce or flavor. But their picture posted of the pad Thai was completely not what they serve, super misleading and crappy on their part. The yellow curry was thick and weird. Unlike any yellow curry I've ever gotten. Wanted to try this place and see how they were. Called ahead to make sure they could do gluten free with the beef with peppered steak. Had to ask about six times before the girl finally put Melanie on the phone. She assured me they could do the order without nuts and no wheat and gluten. I got excited. Put in my order through YELP. Called them back to make sure it went through correctly and Melanie confirmed she'd make sure no nuts and gluten were in the meal. The order arrived 15 minutes earlier than projected. Which I found odd as I specifically asked for the chicken wings to be cooked extra extra extra crispy. I mean I needed them really crispy. Even with the cutouts in the plating I could tell they didn't cook the chicken wings longer than normal. They were cooked just normal. They were semi crispy when they got here. I wanted them really done and didn't get that. Very disappointed in that. I know if you order them to be super crispy they should be in the fryer for at least 25 minutes. Pretty sure they weren't from the way they were. Second the beef with peppered steak.... More like a veggie dish with a small bit of beef. Also incredibly sad about this as they put in carrots and tomatoes which I don't like. I looked back at the menu to see if they were in the description and they're not. If they would've been, I would have said no tomatoes and carrots! Very disappointing.... I've never seen beef with peppered steak have those two veggies in it as usually you just get peppers and onions with beef. The only thing was the sauce was very good. The third item, Pad Thai Noodles. Not too bad. I was a bit shocked to find it so sweet. It was good. Lots of noodles. Would I say this was the best place I've had food? I love Thai food and I go to the same few places all the time because of their authenticity and flavor. I picked this place so that I could check out a new restaurant. It was good, but not as great as my go to Thai restaurants. The heat scale is 1 to 5 and I like a medium heat, but when I go to new Thai places I usually go one number below medium just in case. And then I can always add hot sauce if I need to. I got heat level number 2 for all of the dishes and they were definitely spicy. If I do come back I would get a 1, which is kind of sad because usually a one is no spice at all or very little. There was nobody else in the restaurant except for us. We went on a Tuesday night but because this place is in Chinatown I think I was just expecting it to be more busy, not that I'm complaining because we got our food fast and the service was great. We ordered family style and enjoyed a wide variety of appetizers and entree's. We ordered waters all around a Thai coffee, which was exceptionally good. For appetizers we tried the chicken satay 5/5, fish cakes 5/5, papaya salad spicy 2, was very spicy for a 2 out of 5 but still quite enjoyable 4/5 and lastly he Tom kha soup with shrimp 4/5. Over the appetizers were very good and plenty for a large party. Entree's came out quickly which was nice. We ordered a lot and enjoyed sharing; including pad si ew beef 2/5 beef was very hard, pad si ew chicken spicy 5 a delicious 5/5, crab fried rice which came with plenty of crab meat 5/5, yellow curry with chicken and added bamboo 4/5 and lastly the drunken noodle with fried tofu 4/5 spicy 3. With the wide variety even though some entree's weren't great we all enjoyed the variety and different flavors. For dessert we tried the sticky rice with mango 5/5 and the sweet roti 4/5. I'm a fan! I think this spot has a lot of potential. They were very clever about their logo for I'm wondering if they are affiliated with the popular North Hollywood CA bhan kanom Thai. It looked and felt familiar but the food is solid. We didn't do a lot of food it was basically breakfast so we ordered an entree each and one appetizer. Lad Na Shrimp 4.5/5- they put some extra love by adding a fried egg on top and it loved it. It would've been perfect if the noodles were more burned. I love it when the noodles have that extra char from the wok. KraPow fried rice shrimp 4/5- could've been better if the rice wasn't mushy. The flavors were on point though I would still order it again Todd Mann (fried fish cake) 5/5 -very traditional dish it tasted like my mom or grandma used to make it. It's been a while since I had Thai food and since I was in Chinatown for some theatre tickets, I stopped here for lunch. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the Pacific Asian Plaza and was formerly the site of the Three Villages Chinese Restaurant. Take the elevator in the middle of the plaza and it will leave you right near their entrance. I was greeted quickly and seated in the quiet place. There were only a few other diners and the TV playing ESPN was in mute mode with closed captions so it was a very pleasant interior. There are about 10 lunch specials all $7.50. You get a cup of egg drop soup, an egg roll, rice, and the dish of your choice. After ordering a Thai iced tea, I ordered the Thai mint chicken. Their spiciness level is on a scale of 1 to 5 and I went with 4. I was soon brought the soup which was standard. It was just lukewarm. It could have been much hotter temperature wise. The cup was just a bit more than half full. The mint chicken was nicely done and the spice level of 4 was good for me. Altogether, lunch was filling and tasty but nothing special.
