I stumbled upon this place last night while in search of some food downtown Vegas. It is SO GOOD! I came in 45 minutes before closing, and the server was super nice and I ordered the chicken drunken noodles. I ate the entire dish! It was so delicious and flavorful. I got spicy level 2, and it was perfect. This is a small place, but has outside seating as well. I will absolutely be back!! Thinking about going again today!

I've been here 5 times in the last month, I'm happy I have found my favorite Thai restaurant downtown! I've ordered a few different entrees were as good as the last. The spice level is 1-10 but 3-4 can be a bit spicy for me but I could also be a wimp. Today, I tried the egg rolls, Thai iced tea, and the garlic and ginger stir fry. Everything was delicious as usual.

Cute little Thai spot if you can get parking. Spice level is to par with Thailand--spicy and delicious. Fun off-the-menu items and lots of traditional foods. Place is small with cute murals.

D E Thai Kitchen is awesome! Service is always quick. The food, top notch. Ambiance is laid back casual. Ordered the Tom Yum soup at a 10 on their heat scale and I wasn't disappointed. If you're in need of Thai food and want it fast and flavorful, head on over to D E Thai Kitchen, you won't be disappointed.

Fresh Spong rolls w/ shrimp - very good

Oh my gosh; absolutely amazing! We got an order of the fresh spring rolls with shrimp, which were really good. My husband got the Thai spicy basil stir-fry which was out of this world! I had the Green beans in spicy red chile sauce w/ combo (shrimp, chicken, beef and pork). Shrimp were so succulent, and loved the green beans. Sauce was a little heavy/oily though. Both of us ordered spicy Levin 6, which had a kick, but was just perfect. Next time, might just do the Thai spicy basil w/ shrimp.

My fiance and I were in the downtown area and decided to walk to DE Thai to grab some lunch. While we prefer dining in, I was on a time crunch for work so we placed our order to-go. It was a less than a mile walk from the Fremont area and we felt safe. If you do drive there, it's street and paid lot parking from what I could see. The restaurant is tiny, but they had a few patio tables as well. We were greeted by the super friendly waitress and given a few minutes to review the menu. Once we placed our order she advised it would be ready in 10-15 minutes and was very kind to offer us ice water while we waited. We both love spice, so we asked if we could get some sides of the spicy extras (sauces, peppers, etc) to take home, which she kindly included in our order. Our order was up within the time mentioned and our food held up great for the ~30 minutes until we got home. I ordered the pad Prik king with shrimp (spice level 9) and my fiance had the garlic pepper with chicken (spice level 8). Both dishes were packed with flavor and were accompanied by addicting sauces. Pad Prik King is my favorite Thai dish, so I was happy that their version had a good amount of kefir lime flavor (many places lack this). For the price we agreed the portions were adequate. There are a lot Thai spots in Vegas that we've tried, but this one definitely stood out for the amazing customer service and taste. Definitely one to add to your list!

The best thai food restaurant in all of Las Vegas area. This may be a bold statement as there are an abundance of amazing places here, but this includes everything from food quality, taste, price point, ambiance, and service. Please, I'm open to other suggestions if you can prove me wrong but geez I was in for a treat here!! This is a small mom and pop shop spot that seats no more than 12 at a time. We popped in on Friday night around 6pm and the place was about half filled. We were greeted by the super sweet lady whom I believe is the owner. She was so welcoming and attentive! The place was well lit with bright inviting decor around the walls. We ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer, crispy duck pad thai, crab fried rice, and finished off with fried banana w coconut ice cream. These dishes sure took me on a flavor journey; just as if I was eating at a night market in Thailand. Be sure to ask for the thai chilis! I added this onto my pad thai and fried rice and it was definitely the cherry on top! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

My husband and I found this restaurant a few years ago and every time we are in Las Vegas we go there. It is a small restaurant with a tasty menu. Family owned so they care about what they are making. Highly recommend this restaurant if you like Thai food.

We were in Vegas for my nieces birthday and needed to find some good food away from the strip. We stumbled across D E Thai Kitchen and decided to give it a shot. We pulled up to a small restaurant and immediately knew this place was the real deal. We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated. We ordered some spring rolls, green curry, and a couple orders drunken noodles. They were able to accommodate both the meat eaters and the vegans in our group with plenty of options for everyone. The green curry was amazing and I could probably eat it everyday! The drunken noodles were delicious too. The spring rolls were good and the peanut sauce was delicious. To top it off, the prices were very reasonable. I'm looking forward to our next Vegas trip so I can get a bowl of that green curry with tofu!!

This place is perhaps one of the best Thai restaurants not just in downtown Vegas but all of Vegas with unique special offerings not found elsewhere. I started off with a Thai tea lemonade, which was a super refreshing compliment to my meal. The chicken wings had a sticky spicy and crispy inside with a super moist inside and are great for a sharing starter. Our waitress recommended the kao soi special and I've never had something with so much depth of flavor and complexity such as this before. I'd go back for sure and have it again but be mindful of the spice level to fully enjoy it. The mango sticky rice was gluttonous but the mango was so buttery in texture that I couldn't stop eating it. It looks like they tend to do more takeout as the restaurant itself is quite tiny but it super welcoming.

Came here before work. I'm not from Vegas but was in for a week working. It was close to where I was staying and working and had good reviews so wanted to check it out. It's small, which didn't matter for us since there were only two other groups there. So didn't have to worry about seating. Service was alright. Which is fine. Food came out quick, which was good because of the time crunch and we were hungry. We got garlic chicken which wasn't expecting it on greens but that's totally fine, need more greens. The noodles we got were good and decent spice. The food in itself was satisfying , even though portions were big compared to other Thai places but that's fine as well. I'll lean more to 3.5. I'm giving it a 4 because it was a good experience and the food was good. Just it doesn't stand out from some of my favorite Thai places and since there are so many everywhere is why I lean more towards 3.5. I would try it again if I'm in the area.

I'm obsessed with D E Thai!! This has become one of my lunch favorites. The food is always delicious! Easy online ordering and picked is fast and just as smooth. Highly recommend.

Cozy little Thai spot nestled in the Arts District with amazing flavor and fresh food. Great spot for takeout but if you can find a spot the service was good as well. We had the curry and Tom Kha soup and it was amazing. Would recommend stopping by

Ask the Community - D E Thai Kitchen - Downtown

Where do you park? I tried parking on the side and no spaces. I tried to park in the other lot and security said we could not park there either.

There are about 6 spaces next to the building. There are 3 tables inside and 1 outside so it does the job. No street parking right outside.

Do they offer a lunch special?

No. I didn't see one on their menu and I'm here at 12:40 pm, December 15, 2019.

Is this place celiac friendly at all?

All the dishes are created to order and the staff and owners are very accommodating.

You are greeted quickly and placed on a waitlist (it was busy when I arrived). There's a seating area near the front door but also a few seats along the far side of the wall next to the kitchen door. It's designed to look like a high end restaurant: impressive bar, beautiful ceiling lights, and a mixture of booths and tables. There is seating at the bar as well so if you want to stop for a quick bite with a cocktail, it's perfect. Service: Quick and courteous. What else can I ask for? They use OpenTable so feel free to reserve a seat on that app, it'll help them out immensely when it's rush hour. The servers are quite knowledgeable about the dishes. They even warn you when you've chosen dishes with the same flavor profile. I heard our server guide the tables around us as well with the same attention. Their most known dish is their fried A15 Prawn. Garlic-y, crispy edible shell, and a springy fresh shrimp meat underneath. Yes, you can eat the whole thing, shells and all. Our second dish was their Nam Kao Todd and it had just the right amount of spice and tanginess. The crunch from the rice was a lovely texture because the dish was served fresh. I don't know how it would do if you ordered this for takeout, though. This one is VERY spicy so buyer beware? Third dish was Me Krob. This one wasn't my favorite of the three but I still enjoyed it. The crispness of the noodles absorbed the sweet and tangy sauce they pour on top. Overall: I'd come back if I'm in town!

The space itself is inviting with stylish décor and a warm, modern atmosphere that makes it perfect for both casual dinners and hosting friends. Service is consistently excellent--attentive, welcoming, and polished every time we visit. Our Usual Order: 1) Garlic Herb Crispy Prawns - Hands down some of the best in the city. The prawns arrive perfectly crisp with a generous coating of golden garlic and herbs. Each bite has that satisfying crunch before giving way to tender shrimp. 2) Mango Crispy Catfish - A beautiful contrast of textures. The crispy catfish is topped with bright slices of mango and finished with a chili-lime dressing that ties everything together. The dish is vibrant, colorful, and bursting with flavors. 3) Crab Fried Rice - The rice comes generously packed with large pieces of crab and works perfectly alongside the other dishes. It's hearty enough to share. 4) Dessert here is as much about presentation as it is about enjoyment. The Mango Sticky Rice is beautifully plated, and the Egg Yolk Ice Cream is a unique treat that's rich and creamy without being overly sweet--the perfect way to end the meal. The wine list is surprisingly impressive for a Thai restaurant. We usually pair our meal with Orin Swift Blank Stare Sauvignon Blanc, which complements the dishes wonderfully. There's also a full bar, and the Lamaii Old Fashioned is worth trying--smooth, aromatic, and beautifully balanced. If you're looking for a spot with great atmosphere, attentive service, and dishes that are consistently well-executed, Lamaii is always a solid choice.

Coming from LA, we have decent Thai food, but honestly this place blows everything else out of the water. Tucked in the corner of a shopping mall with quite a few other restaurants, you might miss it if you're driving by. Here are the dishes we've tried so far: Pad Thai (9.5/10) - The best pad thai I've had - nice and moist, with great flavor. I'm normally indifferent to pad thai but having this one makes me realize that most of the other pad thai I've has been dry - no wonder I enjoyed this one so much more. Garlic Herb Crispy Prawn (10/10) - The star of the show - nice, large prawns fried to perfection and covered with a tasty garlic sauce. This is the one we get every time we go. Gang Pu (7.5/10) - Solid amount of crab meat in a curry sauce. The vermicelli noodles come on the side and you can add them into the sauce when you want. It's good but I wish there was a little more curry sauce in the dish. Pra Dook Pad Pren (7/10) - On taste alone this probably gets a 9/10 but we thought the portion was a bit small. The catfish is very tasty and the sauce was on point. Just wish it was a little bigger portion. Panang w/ Crispy Duck (9/10) - the duck is very moist and flavorful, swimming in the panang curry it's really a wonderful dish. There is a good amount of sauce which we like so we can add it onto the steamed rice. Panang w/ Crispy Prawns (8.5/10) - See above but with crispy prawns instead of duck. Enjoyable but I think I prefer the duck a little more for this type of dish. Garlic Green Beans (9.5/10) - Didn't know what to expect but really pleasantly surprised with this dish. The green beans are covered with a super flavorful garlic sauce. A nice compliment to any of the other dishes considering there's not a ton of vegetable options on the menu. The tasteful traditional decor and dark wood sets a nice mood for a pleasant meal. Sure, the view out of the window could be better (you just get a view of the corner of the parking lot) but other than that I can't complain. Also, the service is really stand out - they always treat us very nice and check on us regularly. Shoutout to Pinky - she's super sweet and they've given us a little ice cream dessert when we've come on our birthdays. In a city with so many great food options this one stands out for me. Can't wait to go back!
