I used to say that I didn't like Thai food. Since moving to Las Vegas, I've been eating it more and more. And with this place, dare I say I now like Thai food? This hidden gem is in the Arts District, so it's not in the "touristy" part of town. It's a cozy spot, with seating for about 20 people and they don't take reservations. But that's what so great about this local spot! Great and attentive customer service, both for those of us dining in and those we observed ordering take-out. Plentiful, yet straightforward menu. The vegetable green curry was served piping hot, great seasoning, variety of vegetables, and brown rice that wasn't dry and unsavory. But be forewarned, these spice levels are no joke! I ordered mine a 5: I managed to eat most of it, but I had enough water to drink to fill Lake Mead! I'll probably go lower the next time...and there WILL be a next time! read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch yesterday and I was so glad we did! We enjoyed a lobster fried rice, kao soi and a couple of other dishes. I was so excited for the kao soi and it did not disappoint. The texture of the noodles was perfect, the bowl was a great size, chicken was tender and the soupy sauce was SO good. Can't wait to bring my husband here to try it too. Kao soi has been one of our favorites since we fell in love with it in Thailand! I'm a bit of a fried rice snob but the lobster fried rice did not disappoint. It wasn't mushy and had the right texture. Lobster was a great touch and there was a ton of it. The pricing of it was also so reasonable. I'm always looking for new spots in DTLV and this will be one that I come back to! There are only a few tables inside but we had no problem getting one! The food was so tasty! It was so flavorful without being overly salty which is a difficult balance in Asian cuisine. I had the catfish special, tried the yellow curry, green curry fried rice, Thai fried rice with shrimp, egg rolls, the Chinese broccoli with crispy pork, drunken noodles and the chicken wings all over a two day span because it was so good I had to go back a second time. The service to go was just as good as the sit down service . It's a quaint restaurant and in the evening, it's packed with customers all the way until it's closed. I've been there previously and it was the same then as well. You know the food is good when it's busy and they don't do lunch specials but it doesn't detract from their business. The only thing I can say is that the number on their spice level can be a bit inconsistent but by no way was it ever too much. This is a very cute tiny hidden gem. There is about 6 tables inside and a 2 outside. During the time we were there I saw plenty of people getting take out. This place is super yummy. Excellent quality of food. We tried the fried tofu, pad see eiw ,tom kha soup,jasmine rice,and the ginger garlic plate. We enjoyed every bit of it. Its a great place to eat before heading over to downtown Fremont experience. The girl who served us, was multi tasking. She served the tables,cleaned and took phone orders. I've ordered from the downtown location several times and each time, it's the same dry food. This time I ordered the Pad See EIW with crispy pork, well the pork is definitely crispy (way over crispy) and dry as well as the rice noodles. I now understand why they offer extra stir fry sauce as an upcharge. Why not make it the way it should be made in the first place and just charge an extra $.50, which I would have no trouble paying. Pad Thai 0/10 - this is a very difficult dish to mess up, I dont know how they did it. Its literally noodles cooked in thamrin sauce and?? they got the wrong noodles, the pork doesnt absorb the flavors, the noodles are not chewy.. Pad Prik King 6.5/10 - arguably the best dish here although not that good either. Tom Yum 4/10 - Really salty / sour for no reason?? Good portion for $14. It just tastes bad. Since everything tastes bad to mid, we asked for condiments and the waitress straight up gave us a bad attitude. We are at it again, this time its Thai at @dethaikitchen in the Arts District. Cute little family owned restaurant serving authentic Thai dishes. We started with the Thai iced tea and Thai tea lemonade, both were perfect to beat the heat. I got the ginger garlic chicken plate with fried egg, @agentlei got the beef boat noodle soup and we ordered the pad see ew with fried tofu as a side dish. The pad see ew was perfectly charred and had great flavor and the boat noodles had a strong, murky beef broth with just the right amount of heat. Great lunch/dinner to end our weekend! read more

I was on my way out of the photo studio next door and had always saw this little Thai restaurant but never stopped in. I decided that was going to change today. When I entered, there were a couple tables to my left and to my right. There was a couple eating at one of them and their food looked delicious. I asked the friendly woman at the register what was really popular. She told me the fried rice, but I asked her which fried rice she preferred. She told me the Tom Yum, so I ordered that. My order took about 5-10 minutes to be ready. It was piping hot. I couldn't wait until I got home to eat it, so I busted it open in the car while my husband drove. OMG. You wanna talk flavor? This was the Flavor-Flave of Tom Yum fried rice. Every bite was like a mini explosion of YUM in my mouth. I liked that they used red onions instead of regular onions. That makes a huge difference in flavor for me. It came with 3 slices of cucumber and a juicy slice of lime. (I say this because I hate going somewhere and their limes are dried up!) I've been in here a couple times this year and the food quality is impeccable for the price. It's a gem! Fresh ingredients and a great depth of flavor. Their menu is extensive yet simple enough to not overwhelm. I keep forgetting to take pictures of the food, because it's so delicious I never want to wait before digging into my plate!!! Also the service is always excellent, and while this is a "hole in the wall" place I do enjoy their wooden benches, which are more comfortable to me than metal chairs. The space is intimate but so cute. I came here on a whim and I'm so glad I did. This is the best Thai food I've had in all of Las Vegas. I've now returned 4 more times and bring someone new each time. Most recently, the friend I brought said the food he has here was better than the food he had while visiting Thailand. The young girl who takes your order is efficient and kind and very personable. I think this is a family owned restaurant? However, on at least 3 occasions, over the course of 6 months or more, the Pad Thai noodles served were sitting in a runny puddle of sauce that is overly sweet. I have a sweet tooth but I couldn't eat it. There are many other dishes I enjoy here, but I will not reorder the Pad Thai again.
