As you might expect because of the Chef and the Michelin stars, it was a spectacular experience. Well worth the price tag. What can I say that others haven't said? Make a weekend of it, relax and have fun. I think the chef's table was my favorite part. Chocolate room with levitating boxes of truffles was pretty dang cool too. read more

I will premise this with the fact that the concierge at the nicest hotel in Healdsburg/Sonoma told me that they have received similar complaints about Cyrus as those which I am about to share with you now. Long story short, I urge you to dine elsewhere. Unfortunately, this is quite literally the most classless restaurant I have ever interacted with in my entire life. Truly. I have dined at Michelin restaurants all over the world, including Northern California * The French Laundry multiple times * SingleThread multiple times * Saison * Quince * Lazy Bear * Harbor House Inn multiple times Los Angeles * n/naka * Hayato, Japan * Sukiyabashi Jiro * Gion Maruyama, London * Ikoyi I list these only to emphasize that I am more than familiar with what a Michelin experience should be ... even just a basic restaurant experience should be better. I also own and operate luxury hotels and restaurants in southern California, so hospitality and customer service is my business. I have never in my life experienced worse customer service than I have at this restaurant. I was having medical complications during my vacation, forcing me to have to cut my vacation short. I tried reaching out to Cyrus to cancel three days prior to my reservation, but they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I believe they are also closed on Wednesdays, although I'm not certain about that, but it's irrelevant. I didn't hear back from anyone until Wednesday about my attempted cancellation. They refused to cancel my reservation and credit me back, even despite the extenuating circumstances. This is unheard of in the industry. Every other restaurant, even the Michelin star ones in Carmel, with strict policies, said no problem, they cancelled my reservations immediately, refunded me, and wished me well. But Cyrus refused to credit back $773 for a dinner reservation for two people, and they refused to meet me halfway, they refused to just charge a cancellation fee, and they even charged me for 20% gratuity on service I never received, because ultimately, I was medically unable to go. I asked them if they would prefer that I show up and have a medical condition while at the restaurant and inconvenience their staff and their other guests. Of course they had no answer to that but to just tell me that they would not be doing anything for me. Never wished me well, either. I even asked if they would allow me to use my reservation for another future date. They refused. I then asked to speak to the owner, but the chef/owner never reached out to me. I have asked this now three times in the past four months, and the chef/owner either isn't getting the message or is just refusing to tend to his customer. The lady in charge of answering the phone (it's just one person, but I will not mention her by name), is one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to in my life. Literally the most unhelpful person I have ever spoken to at any restaurant ever. Very, very nasty individual. The hotels in the area said she has a bad reputation for being rude and unhelpful. This restaurant doesn't seem to understand the industry that they are in, the hospitality industry, where we are hospitable to people. We all have our policies, and I have policies at my hotels and restaurants, but we also all have exceptions, and there is no greater exception than a medical situation. The fact that this restaurant was so unwilling when so many other restaurants were so kind, says a lot about them, I think. Why would you ever want to dine at a place that is giving you food when they themselves are so unkind in other ways? If the best food is made with love and there is no love here, then how can this be food worth spending almost $800 on? Well, it isn't. Not only have I heard from hotels in the area bad things about the customer service at Cyrus, but I have also heard that people come back with bad reviews about the food. There is no vendetta here, and I am only reporting back what I have indeed heard, and what I have indeed experienced. I literally never write reviews, but I have been so astonished by this very sad excuse for a restaurant that I am compelled to warn others to not spend their money here and to instead dine at any of the wonderful restaurants in the area, with very kind staffs and unreal food. I would like to name a few of these restaurants which are class acts, but I do not want anyone to think that I am associated with any of them, so I will close my remarks and keep them simply about Cyrus and their coldhearted, indifferent, unreasonable staff, and their apparently overpriced product. One last thing, I will be reporting this to Michelin as well. Shame on them for awarding this establishment anything. The hotels in the area are better sources for what's actually good. read more

An experience like nothing I've ever seen! First, the food is really delicious- and that's the important part. Additionally, every dish is innovative in its ingredients and technically masterful in its execution. A perfect square of Wagyu. A silky soup with a hint of the sea. Uni that I loved- and I hate uni. Unreal bite after unreal bite. I had the non-spirit beverage pairing menu and what absolute fun to have curated drinks...things I'd never think to order but they were yummy and fun to try, like rhubarb juice at the base of a frothy orange juice, plus a tangy glass rim. I know I'm not remembering the refined details but you get the idea! Thank you Cyrus for elevating Sonoma County cuisine sky high! read more

Loved the thought process of Cyrus. Best meal so far... so creative and fun! We will definitely be back.

Great experience at Cyrus. Things they did well: - Intelligent use of the multiple spaces to add a flow and punctuation to the dining experience. You go from a cocktail lounge area to a communal in kitchen experience to a conventional dining room all in the same dinner. - Great dishes and technical flourishes: standouts Billi Bi (mussel soup), Pork Belly, scallop, cheese course and pineapple pre dessert. All of this had a wide range of tastes and cuisines. - Imaginative wine pairing: sour beer for the pork belly, aged California zin for cheese, Barolo for the risotto. All good and well matched. - Service was well executed, without a hitch. A few minor things: - Canapés were a little lackluster and not as great a start as you'd want. Lobster one particularly. - Chocolate room is a fun flourish, but maybe a little cheesy and needs some more thought about how to use it well. All in all well worth the experience. I think compares well and is more interesting than Single Thread. Reminds us of a favorite restaurant with a similar experiential dinner,100 Maneiras, in Lisbon. read more

Milk Punch Review Milky Way: rum Agricole, golden oolong tea, tamarind, pineapple Wow what a surprise to find a milk punch here. The rum and pineapple makes this a Mai Tai type of milk punch. But the tamarind takes this into a completely different direction. Nice complex flavor. Smooth, rum is not too funky, but really makes the tamarind spice sing. Great stuff. read more

Great food and ambiance. Spent some time catching up with the owners, who we've known since the old Cyrus days. Staff, especially the sommelier, were knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed the time in the kitchen the most, though the lounge and the dining room were also great. We'd like to go back in the summer so we can take in the views. It's an unusual concept, and may not be for everyone. But open your mind to the experience, and you'll see it actually works to move from room to room. read more

It's 8:00am the morning after our dining experience at Cyrus, at least I think we were there? It really was like a dream experience for all three of us!! I love living in Sonoma County and having access to amazing ingredients to use daily in my own home. This passion can sometimes create dissatisfaction with what some restaurants serve their guests. Cyrus is a completely different league. From the very first moment you roll onto the property you are greeted with sensory delights- I'm talking gravel under your tires to a gorgeous facade and views- beautiful. The next three hours will be spent in the hands of passionate, knowledgeable and incredibly down to earth people who love what they do! The different courses were just awesome in all regards. Being able to walk around the kitchen and pastry room was my all time favorite part of the night!! Looking through the pantry and asking questions of the staff was was so much fun. I could have stayed there for days! The whole evening was epic and not pretentious in any way- just passionate folk's sharing the bounty of our home in a beautiful space! Nick and Doug, thank you for putting together a perfect night and gathering a stellar staff. Joy- thank you for creating a beautiful time- you are the best!! For anyone on the fence- stop hesitating and just go- you will not be disappointed! read more

"We are the music makers and the dreamer of dreams" (Willy Wonka). Waited to write a review until after a second visit. The first time, did The Dining Journey, a 23-course tasting experience, and one of a kind trip that travels from sweet to savory to sour to umami over a 3-hour evening. The journey moves through several dark and sexy rooms. The second visit was a Special Club Dining Journey for a dual birthday celebration. This Journey paired less number of courses with 7 distinct champagnes. Both visits included dishes with widely varying fresh and local ingredients combined to capture the imagination and palate in different ways, It would be impossible to write words about these dishes because what Cyrus gives you is not just food. In fact, the word food is too banal for this culinary journey. Cyrus is an immersion into a world of uninhibited sensory experience and exquisite tastes birthed from the creative mind of a highly talented, at once serious and whimsical, and extraordinary Chef. The evening, as designed, captures your total focus, surprises you, and forces you to live in the moment. On the last visit, my birthday friend wept tears of joy upon reaching the Chocolate Room, where a cascade of chocolate overflowed inside a secret chamber, seemingly built only for us. Thank you to Nick and Doug and the entire stellar service team at Cyrus for the magic. CELEBRATE life and go here. "So shines a good deed in a dreary world," (Wonka via Shakespeare). read more

I would love to give Cyrus 5 stars because so much of the experience was lovely. I really enjoyed the different rooms to be able to eat at. The kitchen experience was the best part. I wished I could stay there all night. The service was beyond perfect. Truly one of the best experiences from all of the people who work there. Everyone was also incredibly nice and accommodating. The view was lovely and made the ambiance and bit more romantic as the inside of the restaurant is quite sparse. I believe they want you to look out, which is fine by me. The reasons for the missing star. Taste. And then cost. I expected for the amount and the experience we got with the staff that every single bite would be like bursts of bizarre ingredients all coming together in perfect harmony. But, for about half the items I received, There was just something off. As beautiful and visual appealing as each course was it missed that thing that made you close your eyes and want to hold that luscious bite swirl around in your mouth as long as possible. The foam tasted dirty to me. There were way too many flan/ custard type meals. And the flavors just weren't right. When I wanted tangy I got salty. When I wanted sweet I got smoked. I could tell they were really trying but it just seemed to miss it by a hair. Which makes me mad about the price of the meal. I have had better for so so so much less. And though it is an "experience" all of the build up and amazing service you expect an "experience" with taste too. But, you don't get it. I will say the meats were served perfectly. The crab lobster chicken steak were all so good. My man and I both decided the price would be worth it if we could have stayed in the kitchen the entire night and with a few yummy courses and a big piece of a meat as opposed to just a bite. read more

The roving room dining concept is not unique (we first experienced it at Restaurant Tanière, in Quebec City, and we've heard about others), but it's a good concept that makes things interesting for the diner, and probably also helps with the restaurant's ability to turn tables. We really liked how it works at Cyrus and they've added their own touches to the concept. That, coupled with a plethora of tasty bites/dishes and genuinely friendly staff, including chef/owner Keane, make this a wonderful experience. And please, everyone, consider the non-alcoholic pairing. Wine is great and from what we overheard, that pairing is nice too, but for something different and equally fulfilling, the non-alcoholic drink pairing was super. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted and given our choice of seats in the lounge area. We chose the counter seating against the expansive window that gives views to the adjoining vineyard. The first drink and a set of small bites is given here. I'm not going to specifically describe any of the dishes; suffice it to say that we enjoyed them all. We were then taken to the kitchen table, which is a u-shaped set of connected tables seating 12. The center area is used for service, and several more small courses are presented. Guests are given the opportunity to wander around the kitchen and interact with the staff. With the strictly limited time that is allotted here, unless you chose to merely sit in your seat the whole time, it ended up feeling a bit rushed, because it's interesting exploring the kitchen and chatting with the staff, but that takes time away from the eating. We like to savor every bite we take, and like to prolong the enjoyment by eating somewhat slowly to let all the flavors meld in our mouths. That we ended up having to slurp down some of the dishes in the interest of time was a bit of a frustration. But that was worth it to get a little time to talk to the kitchen staff, one of whom told us that they initially thought they wouldn't like the facet of their job that requires them to interact with guests, but that they really quite like it. The next room, the dining room, is a wonderful space. At the kitchen table, it's a smallish space for the 12 guests. Not sitting elbow to elbow, but still everyone is next to each other. Not so in the dining room; the tables are widely spaced, with a minimalist modern design theme, with a glass wall giving a great sense of openness. Here guests are served yet more courses, finishing up with dessert. A few tasting menu restaurants we've been to lately have disappointed at the dessert course, seemingly having done away with their pastry chef/team. Not so here. First a pre-dessert, then the main dessert, and a final selection of very creative and colorful mignardise, all of which were unique, fun and oh so good. The main dessert we had really blew us away. Finally, we got the call to go to the chocolate room. Having read some of the prior reviews, we did understand that this is basically to tell you your time is up, please leave now (mind you, for us, this was 3 hrs from the start). And that others' experiences have been that they felt the room was just a perfunctory place to pick up the going-away bag. Even though it is that, it's not so perfunctory. There's a little time spent that doesn't make it feel like you're being completely rushed out, with a little chocolate drink and a nice presentation of their going-away chocolate bar. Indeed, you're ushered out to the entrance hallway afterwards, but in the case where you didn't pay everything up front with Tock, you go back to the lounge where you can sit for a bit while you sign your credit card slip. The lounge was empty, except for one party who was having what Cyrus calls a "curated menu", which is available all night in the lounge. We stayed there for a short time to relax before the drive home, and It seems like there's perhaps an opportunity for Cyrus to use this space for nightcaps or something. I want to end by writing more about the non-alcoholic drink pairing. This we also first had at the aforementioned Restaurant Tanière, and it was so interesting, compared to wine, that when we saw that Cyrus was offering it, we were excited to try it. Cyrus' vision of these drinks are generally fruit based, but they're far from just fruit juice or mocktails. Each drink paired very well with the dish, were complexly flavored, and were outstandingly delicious. To sum up, we'll go back, once we've saved up enough again. read more

This review is a few months late. Oops! My friends and I had dinner at Cyrus on a weekend evening in January. We really looked forward to the dinner as some of us had been to Cyrus when it was located in Healdsburg years ago and loved our experience there. We arrived and were promptly greeted by one of the owners, Nick Peyton. The staff provided a short tour of the space, kindly helped us take some photos (for the 'gram!) and showed us to our seats in the Bubble Lounge. We enjoyed our drinks with some canapes. Each bite represented the five taste elements - sweet, salty, bitter, sour and umami. As each group arrived, they were shown to a table or area of the lounge to enjoy the start of their dining journey. We eventually moved to the kitchen table, which had a u-shaped table that faced the open kitchen. We were invited to walk around and observe our meal being prepared and to take photos and ask questions. Chef Keane came out to greet us and chat with us. We started off with various pickled vegetables before moving on an assortment of seafood and tofu dishes. My favorite of all these was the Billi Bi, a creamy mussel soup. The third portion of our meal took place in the dining room, where each party sat at their own table. There, we enjoyed various protein dishes that were progressively richer and substantive. We also enjoyed a cheese course and desserts. During this time our party were able to have a lengthy discussion with Mr. Peyton about how he and Chef Keane came to create the restaurant Cyrus has become. Be prepared to enjoy a variety of tastes and textures. Some will seem familiar while others will be new and/or unexpected. Towards the end of the meal we were led into a chocolate room, where we were able to pick up the sweet confections we were given as a parting gift. I loved the humor of the songs from Willy Wonka movie being played in the background! The staff is really friendly and approachable. My friends and I really enjoyed our conversations with them, learning more about the operation of the restaurant and their future plans for when the weather turns warm. The team has created a very enjoyable experience and the staff was very attentive. Even though there are multiple seatings, we never felt rushed. I would love to come back to see how the restaurant evolves over time. Since we came soon after the restaurant opened we realize things will change, especially with the menu. Patrons were dressed in casual to business casual attire. This is Sonoma County, after all. read more

I was there last night Decmber 26, 2023. The service was exceptional! Flawless. Everyone, with the exception of the chef, was warm, attentive and well informed. Their timing was seamless. I have been to a sundry of "tasting menu" restaurants and sometimes you are just languishing there waiting for your next bite of hopefully delicious but tiny food. Not here, they knew exactly when to bring the next bite out and when to pour the wine. We were never without something to eat and drink. Also the wine "pairing" was just magnificent! I don't always get the pairings at places, but I did this time to celebrate the holidays with my sister and it was waaaaay better than I could have imagined. Also, Cyrus, (no relation to the restaurants name) the Sommelier, was both gracious and deeply knowledgeable about what he was pouring. He was really lovely. I am not motivated to go into all the detials about the food but suffice it to say that at the prices they are charging each tiny bite should be orgasmic , or at least slightly orgasmic. Only four items made me go "OMG" and swoon. A lot of the bites were good but kind of fussy (lots of tweezer action) and other bites were meh. Lastly neither my sister or myself could even eat two of the items served. One was way to salty and the other had a very unappetizing appearance. The so called "chocolate room" was lame. It's a dark closet like space where they do give you a small box of chocolates to go and then usher you out like they don't want anyone to see what just happened. The feeling that comes to mind is "furtive". The other rooms however were beautiful and very inviting. I wouldn't go again but all in all I am happy that I checked it out with my sis and we did have a very fun time. Again the service was spectacular. Nick, Sean and Carla couldn't have been more sweet and professional. It is probably the best service I have EVER had in a restaurant, lifetime. read more

Cyrus has so many things going for it, but in the end it didn't quite click for me. On the plus side, service was uniformly excellent with friendly and informative staff. The chef, Doug has a great personality and is totally engaged in talking about the food, the restaurant and anything. Second, the actual experience is a lot of fun. You start with 5 small bites in the bubble lounge, a great spot with view out to the vineyards; next you head into the kitchen and sit at the kitchen table for a series of slightly larger bites - here you are free to get up watch and talk to the chefs and ask questions; lastly you're off to the dining room for a more conventional experience. Novel and fun. At each spot, you get a series of dishes, each intended to show off one of the five flavors - sweet, salt, sour, bitter and umami. Unfortunately, not every dish in each spot is a hit, though many are absolutely delicious. For our visit, big hits were a hot gougère and a stellar mussel soup in the bubble lounge; a clarified gazpacho, a dish of sushi (hiramasa) with local plums and a wagyu beef bite at the kitchen table; foie gras, seared tuna and a cherry dessert in the dining room. But at every stop there were misses - items that failed to delight or were perhaps poorly prepared. In the bubble lounge, a matcha crepe roll was blah; at the kitchen table and oyster spoon with kimchee was just ok and white shrimp was tough, perhaps overcooked; and the most disappointing element was in the dining room where an abalone with corn soup totally dominated the $50 truffle addition, burying it completely. When we talked about our views on this, though, they comped us the truffle upgrade without a murmur - yet more evidence of their dedication to excellent service. We also had the wine pairing and here again there were standouts and fails. The opening glass of bubbly was lovely and other wins were the Grüner Veltleiner and a sake made from rose rice. But the item that, I think, was meant to be the center piece of the tasting, a 1985 Barbaresco, just tasted oxidized and well past its prime. So overall good, but not great. Deserving of its Michelin star, but not yet more. read more

We did the lounge. Waitress was awesome as were the martinis. The atmosphere felt more like a sterile hotel lobby and the food was just ok. We had our best dining experience in years. And we say this as Healdsburg residents that have tried every area restaurant, including a certain 3 star one. Disgraceful lack of customer service. I tested positive for COVID the morning of my long planned 50th bday dinner there. Instead, they still charged us the over $700 cost of the two meals for us not wanting to infect their staff and their other diners. You guys, this place is magical. We came here on a Thursday and sat in the bubble lounge for drinks and bites. Quickly we realized we were missing out on the main dining experience and asked if they had reservations for the next night, and they did. We arrived around 5pm and the night started off in the bubble lounge, with delicious canapés and champagne. Then we moved to the chefs kitchen table, and chef Doug served our next courses! I asked for seafood items to be replaced with vegetarian items and the chef made them himself and whoa were they good. I mean literally everything was good. We got to tour the kitchen, ask questions and the staff is seriously the MOST friendly. The wine list is huge and we had some amazing wines throughout the night. After chefs kitchen table we moved into the main dining room for the remainder of the courses and you guys it's all windows! Most of the fine dining experiences I've had take place in a dark building with very few windows. I guess I've just gotten used to it? But this place is all windows and the views are of a beautiful vineyard! Artichokes, wagyu, homemade bread, melon and beets, gazpacho, and the most insanely delicious cherry and almond dessert. I think there were 18 courses in total and I ate every single one. There is also a fun surprise at the end, but no spoilers! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I'm literally planning my next visit because whoa this is truly a 5 star experience. read more

Atmosphere is great, service was very attentive and the food was scrumptious. It is an exclusive place and somewhat expensive but worth it.

I hate to say it but for me it's a 3.5 experience, and I say that as someone who has appreciated Douglass Kleen talents for over twenty years and sadly it's not about his food but the shortcomings in the dining experience some of which had not improved since their opening. I enjoyed the food and like another reviewer I enjoyed the kitchen offerings the most. The chef is an amazing host in his kitchen, and I had great conversations with him and his staff. Here are the issues in my most recent visit: The sommelier: My party enjoyed their wine pairings in the past, but decided to order a bottle of wine. In the Bubbles Lounge we discussed the wine list with Nick and he said he would send the sommelier (Jim) to answer our questions about a specific vineyard. He never came. We finished our cocktails and were led to the kitchen. The waiter/host attempted to assist with some info. The bottle ordered was straight from their storage and too cold to enjoy. It would have been nice to have had the wine pulled earlier and we would have appreciated a more knowledgeable conversation. Once we moved from the kitchen to the dining area we saw Jim frequently do the circle and again never stopping at our table. Nick did stop by our table and assumed Jim came by but he did not. The Chocolate Room. Any repeat customers know this is a means to exit the dining room. When I last visited our waiter shared that what they wanted to do with the fountain was not code approved and there was a visually interesting strong magnet. I was curious about how it was updated. It wasn't. We entered and two chocolate pieces were on a plate and we were given our bags filled with delicious chocolates. The waiter acknowledged we had visited room before (as in not going to describe again). He lead us through another door and pointed to our coats on the cost tree. At equal establishments, I have definitely had better exits than a point at the coat tree. If this is its final version, The Chocolate Room" title sets an expectation that doesn't deliver. Coffee service: Not sure whether our waiter is beholden to a table exit process, but he invited our table to visit the chocolate room when I still had half my coffee left. The waiter didn't wait long enough before returning. I ended up requesting to finish my coffee. I would still recommend one visit this restaurant, but I don't think I will be back. read more

I love my prix-fixe restaurant meal as much as the next person but I found this meal to be rather disappointing. I'll start with the wine pairing - they splashed a tablespoon of wine into a rather large glass and that was it. I frankly couldn't believe how small the tasting was and when we got to the main dining room the wine tasting was "corked". I asked for the sommelier and if he'd tried this wine? I explained "it tastes like mushrooms and funky old socks". He said "yes, it does have an unusual scent that doesn't appeal to everyone". They offered another wine in its place, which was fine, but all in all - just order wine by the glass. As for the food, a few things are a little esoteric and just not that delicious, especially for the price. However, I did enjoy moving room to room for the various courses, the service was good and the views and ambiance were great. I thought the dessert was really lacking and the chocolate room while heavenly scented was a bit kitschy. All in all, there are hundreds of other great restaurants that are less expensive and where you'll enjoy the wine and food more, so I'd say skip this one. read more

Best dinning experience ever! From the minute they greet you at the door you are welcomed like going to a friends house for dinner.

We were able to go to Cyrus and SingleThread in the same weekend so we could do a direct comparison. Without a doubt SingleThread was much more impressive in the actual presentation of the food. But Cyrus was the better overall experience. The presentation was excellent at Cyrus, but SingleThread was over the top. But the flavors at Cyrus were much more of what you'd expect for the pricing. The experience at Cyrus was more interesting since you move between rooms to enjoy various courses. Starting with small bites and champagne in the Bubbles lounge overlooking the beautiful gardens was a perfect start. Moving next into the Kitchen, was a U shaped table seating 12. The multiple courses were finished in front of you and the flavors really popped. Each course was creative and explained in detail by the chef. It was informal and interactive with the chef encouraging questions. An optional tour of the multiple kitchen areas was a nice touch. We then moved on to the dining room for the main courses which were all creative and delicious. The wine pairings throughout were spot on and varied with mostly wine but one pairing was beer and another was sake. The final touch was a visit to the Chocolate Room, there were several treats and a box of chocolates as a nice souvenir. But the most impressive part was the curtain of flowing chocolate that was personalized with a Happy Birthday message for my wife. If you need to choose between Cyrus and SingleThread, I'd suggest Cyrus for the overall experience unless you prioritize food as art. But best to just just plan to visit both. read more

Customer service does not exist. Wife is literally being wheeled into the OR for an emergency surgery, made a call to explain and an extremely rude and pretentious man didn't give me an ounce of humanity or compassion. Doug Keane and Nick Peyton surely you need to be better and not your path to success. read more

Very good, but missed the mark in a few areas. Don't get me wrong. It was a good experience, but for $1,200 (we even brought our own wine), I expect perfection. First, other guests didn't realize it's a group experience for the first hour or so. For the first experience, we were seated with a view of the 'rock garden' in the bubble lounge. It was more like being seated in the service area, as we got to hear every service conversation. The canapes were quite nice. Although, since we didn't order the extra caviar/custard supplement, we were not even offered a napkin and I had to ask for one. How do you eat finger food without a napkin? Moving into the kitchen, the chef said his hello speech, but didn't really engage with anyone. The 'pickled' course was not impressive. The Korean woman next to me said it was too spicy for her - I felt that it ruined our palates. The other courses in the kitchen were quite nice. We liked how they offered to let us all wander the kitchen area - most people didn't take them up on it. We wandered into the pastry kitchen and had a lovely chat with the chef there. Moving into the dining room, it was like a conference room at a Hilton. The long blank wall reminded me of a partition divider in a conference center. No art. There's minimalist, but there was no ambiance in the dining room. The server offered us the beverage list and we had to remind him that we walked in with wine and to please go find it. (It should have been on our table.) The biggest miss of food was the bao bun - boring, no flavor to it or the butter. That dish needs to be re-worked. The remaining courses were lovely. The pork was one of the best I've ever had. At the end of the meal, when I was still enjoying my last few sips of wine, we were rushed away from the table into the chocolate room. We were then rushed out of the chocolate room to leave, and I still had wine to finish. I don't expect that from a Michelin star restaurant. I always say on these reviews - would I go back - this is a no. It was good, but absolutely not worth $1,200. Our only upcharge was the truffle. You can spend your $1,200 someplace else. read more

The soup Billie was the most delicious flavors I've ever tasted. It's simple ingredients made a flavorful explosion to our palettes. It is absolutely to die for. The entire experience was unbelievable and I am so grateful for everyone who made it possible. Anna Laurie read more

20 courses through their incredible contemporary champagne lounge, dining room, kitchen (and secret surprise at the end), no misses. Will be back. read more

We were excited to dine here but ultimately came away disappointed. The "journey" was novel and interesting, but the food was uneven. Moreover, we felt rushed at times, especially at the first "destination". It was extremely expensive, even by Michelin standards, and if I hadn't reviewed it carefully I would have missed the fact that a 20% tip was already included in the bill. The staff was young and, though friendly, missed a couple of things, most notably serving our "paired drinks" at the right time. The decor was sterile and the background music did not fit the intended atmosphere. We recently ate at a 3 star Michelin restaurant in Basel Switzerland (certainly not an inexpensive town) and paid 30% less for a much better meal. read more

Had a wonderful experience at Cyrus. This was my first experience here, although I had been to the former iteration of this restaurant years ago. It has a very different feel in the building which is more modern and has beautiful vineyard views. My husband did the wine pairing and I opted for the non-alcoholic drink pairing which was incredible and such a wonderful complement to the meal. I wish more restaurants offered this option. Atmosphere was so welcoming, even the head chef wished me a happy birthday. Restaurant crew seems genuinely happy to be there and sharing their craft. A very enjoyable memorable dining experience. read more
