Delicious food, all cooked the night of by a Greek chef. Very good selection at the bar as well. I only wished there was more variety on the menu in terms of meat options. read more

If you are looking for an authentic Greek experience this is it! As someone who has been to Greece recently I would highly recommend Cypriana. They balance a trendy vibe with maintaining a genuine family feel. They have a private parking lot and vegan and vegetarian options! The staff and management was warm and prompt even on a busy Friday night read more

Everyone was so friendly and they had great gluten free options where pretty much everything was gluten free and even had complimentary gluten free pita with the plates you didn't have to pay extra for. The food was amazing as well we just tasted 5 different small plates and staff was a lot of fun to talk to read more

Just fabulous food and service. Will be tempted to skip cooking & get dinner here every night.

I want to love this place. It's in my neighborhood and I like Mediterranean food. Sadly..... after 2 tries - I won't return. Service is abominable. Took 40 Min to get a drink and if my wine glass had more than 3 sips - I'd be surprised. Food is a mixture of over cooked and cold. The bar is loud. So close.... and yet so far - from good. read more

Beware - most of the wait staff and the owner do not wear masks, even though the restaurant is in the city and there is a mask mandate for Baltimore city. read more

My wife and I went to Cypriana Saturday 12/18/21 hoping for a relaxing time for an evening away from our two young children to connect with each other as this is hard when you are married with young children. We have a wonderful babysitter to cover for the evening. Things seem great, then Wap! I am stunned when the young ladies at the front of Cypriana tell me at 8 PM there are no tables after we made a reservation for 8 PM. Then Wap! Slam! Bap! old school Batman style when I asked for the manager, I got the privilege of meeting Vassos Yiannouris. Lucky me or not so fortunate me. I asked what was going on with the reservation and he directed me to the bar with his right hand on my shoulder saying you can wait at the bar. I said to Vassos that I have a reservation at 8 PM. If we wait at the bar can my wife and I get a free drink while we wait? Vassos says "No!" Vassos then proceeds to show me around the restaurant and how full it is, same thing with his right hand on my right shoulder guiding me around the crowded restaurant. I told him, I appreciate the tour, but do not want him touching me, this is not necessary. I said that my wife and I have a reservation for 8 PM Saturday 12/18/21. Vassos said "Get the F@#% out of my restaurant you F@%%ing A@@hole! I said, OK, I am leaving. My wife and I walked back to Hampden where we live in shame and found a more welcoming restaurant there to eat. Vassos, rude, condescending, unprofessional. This was a terrible experience for sure. read more

Went visit my Grandma around the corner and left late. Looked this place up on here and thought sounds great. They were open til midnight. But sadly when my family and I walked, we were turned away and not even offered a menu. We were told that the kitchen was closed. I would of bought that but if that were the case you should of locked up. read more

We hosted a lunch for 40 on Cypriana's lovely patio on Memorial Day, 2021. We ordered the Tasting Menu #2 and added grilled octopus. Each of the three courses was served family style. There were 17 different dishes, not counting the sides of tabouli, Cyprus fries, red quinoa pilaf, and lemon potatoes. Each dish was fantastic. Our guests were bowled over! Not only was it the variety of the plates, but also the quality of the food and the care and creativity of the preparation that made for an unforgettable feast. Everyone had favorites. My top three were the lamb shank, the octopus, and the hummus. And the service, too, was over-the-top. Gracious, prompt, knowledgeable, the staff were extraordinarily cheerful and helpful. I can't rave enough about Cypriana and look forward to the next occasion there, even if it's just a few of us. read more

Fantastic food and wonderful service. Family owned and operated and you can tell the difference. Salmon off the charts!! A real gem!!

This was our second time visiting this restaurant last night. We were a party of four. We literally had to wait a 1/2 hour before receiving our first round of drinks. The server blamed the delay on a busy bar - I promise you the restaurant was 1/2 full. Also - the bathrooms were missing toilet paper and needed to be cleaned. The food was fine - portions small- but the thing that was most upsetting is that a 20% tip was automatically added and our server even had the nerve to ask if we wanted to add more. How about the experience wasn't worth 20% tip to begin with?! Maybe 15-18%. A 20% tip in my opinion should not be added to smaller parties. Hate to leave a negative review but the experience was frustrating. read more

Cypriana, in my opinion, is a top 10 restaurant in Baltimore. Not only is the food amazing, the chef and staff should be commended for top notch service!. They make you feel like family when you are there. I definitely plan on frequenting this restaurant often . read more

This place is overrated and overpriced for the value. The meatballs were dry and eggplant was nothing special. The lamb rib chops were very puny and the market price was $35! They don't do side substitutions for dinner which is basically unheard of these days. My husband liked his belly and butt entree but we both left hungry after we dropped $100. Go to Greek town if you want better quality and value for your money. Service was very good although the hostess was a hot mess. Not going back. read more

I went to Cypriana last night for dinner. I was already excited about it because the menu looked amazing. The inside of the restaurant was beautiful and the food was amazing! We ordered mussels, feta cheese and meatballs and we got the baklava (best I've ever tasted) and a lemon custard dessert. Coffee was served in a french press, which I love. Everything was cooked perfectly. But was most impressive was the service. The owner of the restaurant stopped by our table a few times to see that we were taken care of. He also gave us a tip on how to eat the meatballs (squeezing lemon juice inside each one) and how to eat the lemon custard dessert so you picked up just the right flavors. I even got a hug at the end from the owner. It was really an outstanding experience and I will definitely go back!! This is going to be one of my go-to restaurants. read more

We are still sitting at the table after one of the best meals I have ever had. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The owner came over and made recommendations which were fantastic. I highly recommend the hummus, sesame feta cheese and meatballs. The salad sampler went very well with the hummus as well. Can't go wrong asking the owner what he recommends! We had beer but will try the wine next time as they appear to have a great selection. All prices are reasonable and it's a great value. Currently waiting for the dessert to come. Anticipating a great end to the evening!!!! read more

We live in the neighborhood, and generally we like the place. Last week, however, we had a bad experienced. It was a Thursday evening, and the posted closing hour was 10pm. When we arrived at 9pm, the manager gruffly told us that we would need to order immediately because the kitchen was closing. We agreed, saying, fine, but please do not rush us. And rush us they did; the main courses arrived before we were halfway through the appetizers, and then we were ignored. When I complained the manager said he was sorry I FELT that way, as though my feelings, rather than the service, were the problem. He added that the hours had changed, but they had not yet posted them on the website. He also said it was not his INTENTION to rush and ignore us. How inefficient and rude! read more

So delicious! You can taste how fresh everything is. And small plates let me and friends try a lot of the menu items. Fresh hot pita is made to order in a wood fired oven. The hummus was the best I have ever eaten! Baklava is even better the next day. Be sure to take some home for breakfast! Chef Maria is sweet and humble. read more

First time visit- nice place. We ordered lamb chops and salad sample and classic hummus. Very good food and I love the lamb chops!

This place is incredible! We tried almost everything on the menu. Lamb chops, octopus, pork belly/butt, beef tenderloin, grilled feta, hummus, grape leaves, meatballs, falafel, chocolate mousse, lemon angel hair, baklava, Cryprus coffee and french press coffee. Everything was so good! Try it all!!!!!! The staff is also very friendly and helpful!!!! read more

Fantastic Mediterranean food. I will most certainly be back every time I return to baltimore

From the minute we came in and were greeted warmly by the owner until the second that we paid the bill.... wonderful experience.. the large salad sampler , the shrimp, and the meat appetizer were really enough for the 4 of us.. I don't enjoy drinking but everyone raved about their Margeritas.. we ordered dinners which we all shared... lamb chops, beef kabobs, and octopus... again, raves all around.. although we were more than full, we had to try the baklava.. good decision! The coffee was served in individual pots...very super fresh.. Hint.. one order of coffee is enough for 2 cups. The atmosphere was upbeat, and I will definitely go back. One of the reviewers mentioned inexperienced servers.. I would agree with that. It just didn't matter.. a totally fun, delicious restaurant. read more

What can I say...absolutely amazing. Grape Leafs are phenomenal. Salmon was cooked to perfection. Everything was fresh. The ambiance was very comfortable and the staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this spot. read more

We came here out of curiosity after hearing about the craft cocktails and made a reservation for Friday night dinner. We were amazed by the quality of flavors compared to previous experiences with Greek food in Baltimore. The dolmas, moussaka, koeftedes, the lamb rib chops and tabouli side - all of these dishes were fresh and well flavored. We will definitely be back here again. read more

Vaso welcomed us as we were first timers. Explained the difference between food from Athens, Lebanon, and Yerevan. Ordered the salad sampler, the Constantinople hummus, moussaka, chaloumi, macaronia tou fournou, keoftedes, and the octopus. All tasty and excellent. read more

Such a treat! Fantastic food and ambiance (before Covid). The salad combo appetizer is great!!!

Outstanding food and fantastic service. Grace is a great waitress. Love the outdoor dining on the patio.

I have to state, right from the start, that the food here is incredible. It represents all that is good about Mediterranean cuisine. We began with the salad sampler, which I highly recommend. Six small "salads" to prepare the palette are a perfect way to begin. We had the stuffed grape leaves next. The lamb stuffing was evenly seasoned and married well with the tang of the grape leaves. As entrees, we had the beef skewer and the grilled shrimp. Both were simply prepared, perfectly seasoned and delicious. I have to also mention the cocktails. The Bacon Old Fashioned was an unexpected surprise, but the discovery of the night was the Tears of Chios Mastina - notes of pine and cucumber blended with vodka. This would be a five star review were it not for the service. Everyone was friendly, but the wait staff seemed terribly inexperienced. As one server was clearing our first course plates, he asked us to keep our silverware. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I never place silverware on the table once it has been used. We had to ask that we be given fresh silverware. There were substantial lags in time when we didn't see any server at all. Once we asked for the check, we waited ten minutes before it was delivered. We then waited another five minutes before it was picked up. We were a bit impatient to leave at this point, and once we arrived home, realized we did not have our credit card. Our server had neglected to return it to us. I sincerely want this restaurant to succeed. The food is amazing, the cocktails are strong, the prices are very reasonable. For these reasons alone we will definitely return. We are absolutely willing to give Cypriana a second chance - the food is that good and the staff is very friendly. Perhaps with more experience, they will improve their service skills. read more

Fantastic! I had a wonderful fish dinner paired with amazing Greek wine. My wife raved about the crab cakes. And the service and setting was just great. read more

Very friendly staff and great service. Everything is made from scratch and is super delicious! The pita bread was fresh and puts all other pita breads I have enjoyed in the past to shame. Hummus was delicious as was the spanakopita and halloumi! The falafel are crispy to perfection and award-winning. Do yourself a favor and split a few small plates with a friend or 10 here! Soooo good!!! Also, they have free parking across the street - yes, it just keeps getting better. Enjoy! read more

I happened upon this family-owned restaurant late one night after moving into an apartment around the corner. It was late, I was hungry, and, honestly, I wasn't picky about where to eat. I just needed FOOD. My hunger aside, I was super impressed with this restaurant! Hands down the BEST falafel I have ever had, and I am a sucker for their pork belly and butt entree. Cypriana has become a local favorite of mine, and I have since brought multiple friends to the restaurant... who are now frequent fliers :) The restaurant owner is always welcoming and makes a point to stop by to say hello and chat with each guest. I highly recommend Cypriana! read more

I'm giving this place a 4 for overall experience but actual dining/service experience I would give 3.5 and food would be a 5 for taste but 3.5 for portions. I went here with two family members after reading good reviews on Yelp. We made a reservation online and when we arrived there were only a few tables that had guests but by the time we were ready to order most of the tables were occupied. We started with the warm feta that had honey and sesame seeds in it and came with warm pita. This was a delicious appetizer and my sister and I both felt like we could have just eaten that. We also tried the warm hummus and my BIL had the falafel which he really enjoyed. We felt that these were a decent size to share and happy we got them because we felt our meal portions were small for the price. My sister and I had the tenderloin skewer and shrimp to share but for $19 each we felt that although good there should have been a bit more to each meal. Aside from the portions we also did not have the best service. Our waiter kept going away and not coming back for long periods of time. We all had a drink and then water but we were never asked if we wanted another drink and we were never given anymore water through our whole meal. A few other positives were that the location is large and could be a spot for parties and they have a parking lot which we didn't know about until the owner told us at the end of our meal across the street. read more

The food is amazing! Several restaurants have come and gone on the same spot, Cypriana seems destined to thrive there. The kitchen offers such imaginative small plates as the mousaka, vegan dolmades, along with main courses that reveal the kitchen's flair for preparing meat and seafood. Such-winning entrees- try the bronzini the best I had in a long time. Amazing experience, the small plates range from light- to full-bodied and feature such standouts as the Greek meatballs. You can pair every item perfectly with choices from the extraordinary list of wines available. read more

Absolutely amazing food with fresh ingredients. High quality cuisine with unparalleled service. Will visit frequently!

I have loved Cypriana for decades dating back to the around the block lines to get a chicken or falafel pita from their stall downtown. Love the cool vibe of their Roland Park restaurant. Hard to believe they do real sit down food even better! Their house made pita is insane and the pistachio baklava the perfect sweet salty treat. Learned tonight they have a lovely outdoor seating area too. Destined to be my new favorite outdoor dinner haunt. read more

As someone who has spent many summers in Cyprus with family, my standards for Greek-Cypriot food are high. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the amazing quality of the food but I would recommend getting the flatbreads if you're really hungry because they are a larger portion than the mesedes plates. I look forward to introducing my friends to this place!! read more
