My favorite place I've ever taken my Subaru to for service! I've been coming here for years and cannot say enough great things about the guys in the service department. They are welcoming, down to earth, explain things, timely and efficient. Matt is usually my go to but have to shout out Gibert, Jacob, Rudy and newest associate Abidin who did a great job assisting me with my oil change and rotation. The prices aren't outrageous and they tell it to me straight when it comes to repairs needed for my car. In addition, I've had last minute issues and always get me in ASAP. Thanks Subaru Service, keep up the great work! read more

This review is a year overdue. After having had my car 14 years I had to get a new one. I asked coworkers how they felt about Subarus and heard nothing but good things. We went in not knowing what I was looking for. Test drove an Impreza and was sold! Went to finance and got approved relatively quickly, I have excellent credit which doesn't hurt. Drove off in my new car the next day, they had to source it from a sister dealer. They offered me a fair price for my old car that was shot, made transferring my custom tag easy too. Service is open on Saturday which is super convenient for services. I'm a happy camper, thank you!! read more

Cypress Coast Subaru - Taking delivery of my new Subaru. - Car Dealers Near Me - Seaside, California

After moving from NV to CA, I started taking my 2012 Subaru Legacy to the shop at Cypress Coast Subaru. It's conveniently located in Seaside, so I can walk home using the bike trail & the shop offers the option to leave the vehicle at overnight if I can't drop it off in the morning. There's a van for people who need to get to their destination quicker while vehicles are serviced. For almost a decade, my car was serviced here - especially for the big stuff or manufacturer-required repairs. Prices are competitive, service team is A+ and respectful, and process is always transparent. There are NO hidden fees or unnecessary upselling. Just in case you stay & wait, there's a clean spot inside the dealership with plenty of natural lighting, clean bathrooms, comfy seating, & snacks. Wifi is free, too. If you like to walk while you wait, there's alot of hidden gems nearby. The only downside to walking around the different dealers is the lack of sidewalks, so stay vigilant. When the service team could no longer repair my car - fancy dual transmission that died at 160k miles, they had plenty of cars for me to choose from. The addition of the Ford dealership to the company just a few steps away doubled the amount of vehicles I could buy.. and buy I did. Sadly, I couldn't afford a used Subaru; but I found a comparable vehicle that fit my needs & budget. The sales team understood my limitations & emotional journey. I really really really liked my Subaru Legacy. After 3 hours, I gave them my useless Subaru and left with a Toyota. While I didn't want to buy another vehicle, my lifestyle required it. The experience was overwhelming, yet very positive. The best part, they will still service the Toyota!! read more

We had a great experience working with Dylan even though we didn't end up buying a car from him. He was genuinely helpful throughout the process. Not sure when they hired new service people at their front desk but they just lost my previous 5 star reviews . I've been bringing my Cross Trek here for all its services for the past 7 years! I always make an appointment and always was treated with respect and courtesy. Today , not so much . Showed up on time for my appointment to be told that they didn't have me or my car in their system! I've spent thousands at this dealership over the years and they sure can mail me coupons and send me emails for wanting me to upgrade my vehicle but now my name or my car isn't in their system ? Get the long time service managers back ! I will start going elsewhere for my services if this is how they treat long time customers! read more

Cypress Coast Subaru - Car Dealers Near Me - Seaside, California

It all started inn 2022, when we needed another car, I went there and they added a bunch of dealer markups on an Outback Onix, mandatory items such as moonroof, paint protection, etc. These items totaled almost up to $10,000.00. Our daughter was living in Kansas City at the time and he ended up buying one in Olathe Kansas. For the same exact price on the prices on the internet, no markups that I was aware. then we had it transported to California for $2,000.00. I was mailed a a notice on cardstock, that you could get an oil change for $99.99, and no appointment necessary for oil changes. I smelled a rat and called and the service guy said, well.............. if you go that route the car maybe here for 2 hours. I made an appointment and they said in the waiting room there are snacks and coffee. The only thing left was an apple. So I waited 2.5 hours WITH AN APPOINTMENT. I had not eaten from the night before and that day. I asked the service guy at a kiosk where are the vending machines? Nope Subaru had them removed, there use to be a 7-11 down the street. So the bill came to $144.00, I asked politely where is the 30-40 dollars?. Its because I wanted a tire rotation????????? $35.00 for a tire rotation. The guys there were not rude, they are Gen Z's without customer/human interaction skills. Some do have these skills. But not there. I think a private equity firm aquired this dealership, because the qualitty went down and the prices went up. Needless to say i grew up working on cars as a hobby. I can get the Oil at O'reilly for $50.00, the filter for $8.00. I have impact, and tourque wrenches so I can rotate the tires for 0 dollars, and i will do that, O'reily takes my waste oil for free, because I support them. But i won't support Cypress, and shame on you for charging a $144. percent markup! read more

My trunk would not open and a loud beeping ensued driving me nuts. I was down the street from Cypress Subaru and drove I. With no appointment. My husband and I went into this Subaru dealership last Sunday afternoon when it was not too busy. We were greeted by two seemingly nice enough salespeople. When we sat down to gather information and ask for transparency regarding comparing a 2025 vs 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Limited lease, that is where the interaction went bad fast. The salesperson could not give us much information. There was a lot of resistance in releasing any information regarding the simple question one might ask when leasing: "What is the money factor and residual value?" In fact, the manager, Henry, was rude when I understood and knew the "lingo" as he called it. Hopefully, most educated consumers do know and understand the "lingo". He reluctantly pulled up some worksheets for us that made little sense. When I calculated the money factor to determine the interest rate it was over 10%! The transaction was also going to include trading in a practically brand new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Limited with 10,400 miles on (which they leased to my elderly parents three years prior). The whole reason I was gathering information was because my mother could not go through another "beating" from them. I unfortunately was not with her at the time. I would have also walked out like we did yesterday. Instead we found a wonderful dealership that leased us the new 2026 model. Also, the vehicle was delivered free of charge from Elk Grove to my parents' house in Pacific Grove. Stay away from Seaside Cypress Subaru unless you are into games, unethical tactics and rudeness! It absolutely does not have to be this way, nor should it! read more

I went to the service center here and had the pleasure of working with Matt Wingrove. I just went in for an oil change and for them to listen to a sound my car is making. We ended up getting the issue that caused the sound, my starter, covered by my warranty and he was able to perform an estimate on all the aditional items I wanted replaced so I could decide between them based on what I could afford now. The estimate and the final costs all matched thanks to the clear communication from Matt. He was incredibly professional and provided me with attentive honest service. I had previously been to a car shop that wanted to push me to replace my brakes immediately and I felt they were lying. So I went here and they inspected my whole vehicle for free and told me I had about 6 months left on them. I would recommend this shop and specifically working with Matt to any Subaru owner read more

I bought my Subaru in LA and that's where I'd get it serviced when I lived there. Cypress Coast Subaru is leagues better. The people are friendlier and more transparent, the service is better, and the experience is always seamless. I brought my car in yesterday for a service knowing I'd likely need new brakes (which is what they told me during the last service- something I appreciated so it wouldn't come as a surprise). Matt W couldn't have been more helpful. He answered all of my questions, walked me through my options, pricing, etc. and got me the best deal possible. My car was ready after the shuttles had stopped running so he even deducted the price of my uber back to the dealership from my total. I got my car back working good as new and spotless. Bringing my car in to get serviced has always been something I dread (much like the dentist). Cypress Coast Subaru makes it so painless and hassle free. Thank you again, Matt! read more

I just wanted to drop by and thank Cypress Coast Subaru for bailing me out. I can in Saturday afternoon with a punctured tire. I was traveling to Monterey for the night and this "bump in the road" really set us back as far as schedule. After initially thinking he wouldn't be able to help us out, took a look and put the techs right on it. We had a nice lunch at a nearby cafe he recommended and waited a while longer while the hole was plugged. Shortly after, he informed us that the tire was repaired and we were on our way again. We made it in plenty of time to tour the aquarium before closing. It turned out to be a wonderful trip. Thanks again to the outstanding service department at Cypress Coast Subaru! read more

A tale of two organizations. I leased a 2024 Solterra in February from Cypress Coast Subaru. The deal was good as was the handling by my sales contact. Several weeks later I discovered an item (cargo floor liner) listed on the window sticker was not in the vehicle when it was delivered to me. I emailed the sales contact and was initially told one would be provided free of charge. Crickets! I emailed again. Same answer. Crickets. I emailed again. Crickets. I the called Cypress Coast Subaru, a total of six times. First to sales, then the sales manager, then the dealership manager, and finally the Val Strough general manager over their Seaside dealerships. Nothing! Absolutely nothing. I'm left to post this very unsatisfactory review to alert all the potential customers of these dealerships. read more

I would give you a rating of 0 stars. I had my oil changed and tires rotated on 04/29/2025. When I dropped my vehicle off the guy that helped me, I believe his name was Rudy, was extremely rude, no eye , no good morning I will be with you shortly, he just ignored me and looked straight straight ahead. He finally asked if I needed something, not how can I help you. I told him I had an appointment and gave him the coupon I received for a discount, he continued to stare straight ahead. I told him I would be waiting in the lobby and wanted to be notified when my vehicle was ready. I later called and left a message for the manager saying I wanted to talk to him about the rudeness of the staff. I never heard from the manager. I returned on 06/10/2025 to have my battery replaced. I told the person waiting on me I wanted to be notified when my vehicle was ready as I would be waiting in the lobby. I was told it would take about 1 hour, after 2 hours had passed I inquired what was taking so long. I was told my vehicle had been ready for 1 hour and I had been called. I told them I had been waiting in the lobby and no one called me. I found out they called my home, the repair order clearly stated I was waiting in the lobby. I paid and left, as I pulled out I noticed they had not reset my clock, so I went back to have them reset it. I further noticed they had my daughter's email was listed, why I don't know. My daughter lives in Guam and has never set foot in Cypress Coast Subaru, she does however own a Subaru Forester like myself. How they screwed up is beyond me. I asked to speak with manager. I did not get his name but I asked him if he was the manager and he replied he was. I mentioned I had called and left 2 separate phone messages requesting to speak with him. He rudely replied he never got them and I continued to tell him I was calling because of the rudeness of the staff to which he replied he had already spoken with them. If he never got my messages about staff rudeness, why would he know to speak with them. He said he was a busy man and didn't have time to talk to people, I proceeded to tell him my complaints. He became very agitated and angry. He said if I didn't like the rudeness I should go elsewhere as this is auto row and there are many dealerships that can provide service on my vehicle. I told him I had planned on buying a new Forester from one of their salesman, Ryan Feliciano. He told me not to buy a new vehicle from the dealership and to find somewhere else to have my car serviced as he did not want me setting foot in the dealership. He stated that several times, so I will never set foot in Cypress Coast Subaru ever again. I had called the sales department to get the name of the general manager so I could write to him about the rudeness of the manager and other staff but I was told they were not authorized to release that information to me. read more

I have to say that Ryan and his team provided me with the best customer service on making a knowledgable decision about picking the car that I need. The professionalism, understanding and patience is what sets this group of people apart from the rest. Wonderful experience and great car. I planned, researched, and scoured the internet until I decided on the Subaru Ascent. I contacted the dealer I chose and received a prompt reply from Alexis. I contacted him with multiple questions, and he was always friendly. When the day came to make the deal, traffic was light, and I arrived 30 minutes early. The staff were all very accommodating. The minute I sat in the car, I was in love. The Ascent drove so smoothly that I can hardly wait for my upcoming road trip. High points of my experience... They are dog friendly. There is a small dog park that saved us a lot of frustration. Great deal. Base price was fabulous, and the add ons I chose were reasonably priced. They were even able to do the paperwork to swap my disabled license plates with the DMV. I am kind of old and was not looking forward to that part of the process. I am certain I missed something here, but one thing is certain. This was, by far, the best car buying experience I have had. read more

Service over the phone was fine, and today I had a pretty successful appointment (recall inspection). Vasquez helped me right away and got me out of here in about 20 minutes. Seating is limited but spaced out reasonably. Lots of sanitizer available. Apparently customers used to park from the back but they are expanding, so for now pull in right before Angelina's bakery where there is some "Subaru" parking. There is one available armchair which is very comfortable. The rest of the chairs are bearable, with some tables for customer usage. A small, sturdy, and efficient Subaru retailer. read more

So awesome after a month of posting this review I still get negative messages from the who must be the staff at this dealership. Making derogatory comments and name calling very mature.... you do understand the nature of yelp is for people opions of interactions with business, you only go to further my point. All ypu have to do is answer two simple questions why is the Part manager telling customers they can only order complete assemblies? Why did the service manager bill an extra hour shop time to remove a bolt that has to be removed to preform a service that is already being billed. If the service took more than an hour no problem, but the service took less than an hour, which was the estimated time. My previous car started having issues the WEEK of Christmas (2022) & after bringing it in to Toyota, we weren't happy with the options or the service from their Sales team when looking at options to purchase a new car if worst came to worse. We walked the auto mall browsing other cars & were greeted within 1 minute by Dylan on the Subaru lot. Long story short, Toyota gave us the run around while Subaru was there to help me & get me back in the road for a busy Christmas holiday ahead. Special thanks to Dylan & KC at this location! They treated us like family & gave us all the available options to ensure we were taken care of & were able to make the right decision. I will never buy a car from another dealership again, because Cypress Coast Subaru is where it's at! I HIGHLY recommend this team & recommend them to all my friends & family that mention needing to buy a new car. **UPDATE** I forgot to post this review, but wanted to say I am still as happy I as I was when I first bought this car in December 2022. I called the Service department today and was extremely disappointed. My Grandparents are in their 80's and purchased a Subaru about 15 days ago from the Toyota dealership nearby. Unfortunately they only had 1 working key fob, so they had to come to Subaru to get a spare fob made. Apparently they have been waiting for the dealership to get the software to make the fob for this 2021 Outback Touring XT. A portion of that time the car has been sitting up there just waiting. My Grandfather called today and was told that the software arrived, it will take 30 minutes to make the fob, but they don't have any appointments until next Wednesday. He made the appointment and then told me about this experience that I'm describing here. I called and spoke to the service rep Rudy and explained to Rudy that my Grandparents are in their 80's, until 2 weeks ago they didn't even know what a fob was. Their last car they had for 17 years and it started with a key. I explained that they have been waiting for the software to come in and when it did you told my Grandfather that it would only take 30 minutes, but although they have already been waiting you won't find a way to accommodate them earlier than next Wednesday. I asked him to help me help my elderly Grandparents and he told me sorry but your Grandfather Opted for that appointment and we have nothing available. What really grinds my gears about this, is the lack of compassion and willingness to figure out how you can help them, because they have already been waiting patiently and because they struggle so much with technology and this type of stuff ruins their day, because they feel like they can't get things done on their own anymore and they just have to settle for whatever you tell them. This is about much more than a key fob. It's the community and younger generations responsibility to help walk the silent generation through the last years of their life and help them navigate through the technological Barriers that get in the way of them being able to get stuff like a new key fob made. read more

I love this dealership. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I bought a 2016 Subaru and loved it. Sadly traveling north on 101 Highway a truck pulled across south bound traffic off of Rock Road right into North bound traffic. I slammed on my breaks and pulled to the right. (Had I not done that I would have T-boned him. So, I still hit him and it totaled my car and certainly caused damage on his white pick up Ford truck. He kept going. Must have had a skeleton in his closet, or two! So I needed an another car and knew I would go right back to Subaru. I had gone on line and picked out all the bells and buttons that I wanted and expected they would order the SUV and in a few months I would have a new vehicle. However, they had a 2025 Forester on the lot and sold me all the accessories at their cost. By the end of the day I drove off the lot with a new vehicle. They will call me when the accessories come in and I will go back, leave my car, borrow a car from them for the day and I can pick it up , at the end of the day!! Their service department is wonderful as well. Never had any issues with any service. In fact I never had any issues with my car. I had a 2016 Subaru Impreza. If you like clowns, step right up... I lose my keys and fob and get an after-market repalcement, taking it to this dealership to cut and program. I wait, I get no updates and then get called to pay $88 only to learn they could not program the fob. WTF? I can't imagine these require $88 worth of labor and I supplied the part. And, honestly, I'd be embarrassed to tell a customer they owed $88 for a job they could not do. But it didn't bother them one iota and I questioned the charge. SO... I will gladly drive to Santa Cruz Subaru for any further warranty or specialized work needed on my Forester. And the reason I bought the car in Santa Cruz in the first place is because the Cypress Subaru sales force was equally as incompetent and unprofessional.
