    Minute Clinic
    Daniel C.

Review is for their Minute Clinic: This is a convenient place to schedule a COVID vaccine for a 2yo. Other places like Safeway and Walgreens offer vaccinations for Age 3+. Although its possible to get vaccinations through our pediatrician, nothing beats the flexibility of a Minute Clinic. They offer appointments throughout the day including weekends. 1. Their onsite nurse, Michelle, was excellent. Sure the kid is going to cry but remember its over real quick. Michelle worked with us to position our son to make the process quick and efficient. For 2yo, the injection goes on the thigh. 2. They say check-in 15 minutes ahead of your appointment time. We shows up at our scheduled time and that's OK, since it takes 10-15 minutes to double check your paperwork, manually enter info again, verify ID and insurance, etc. All this was submitted online but I guess they need to double check and verify. 3. Tip - you can only schedule 3 days ahead for Pfizer-Biontech, and appointments fill up fast! That means if you want a Saturday appointment, start booking on Thursday.

I got a text message to remind me of a vaccine shot, but the CVS was shut with a hand written sign that they had a power outage

    Receipt states returns thru 06/02/2020

I purchased items in a scent that I don't normally get and because the sale was so good, I figured I'd get them and go see if I could find the right scent at another location since they didn't have the one I get in stock. That was they would still honor the sale price. Matthew who lacked any kind of customer service rang me up and never once mentioned a change in store policy with returns or exchanges. Now, since I'm wearing a mask, I didn't wear my glasses since they fog up when I wear the mask. I did not see any signage about a change in store policy nor was I notified verbally before purchasing. No stamp or change was made to the sales receipt that I was given which clearly states "Returns with receipt, subject to CVS Return Policy, thru 06/02/2020 Refund amount is based on price after all coupons and discounts." Fast forward to 10 min later when I went to CVS on Treat. They immediately tell me that I cannot exchange the items because the refund policy changed. They were extremely rude about it. I called this CVS and spoke with Ben a "supervisor" who stated that he agrees that Matthew should have verbally told all the customers in the change of policy. Especially when dealing with customers who may be seeing impaired. As that would be discriminatory to assume everyone has 20/20 vision. He states he cannot "do anything" and told me to contact customer service to see if a policy could be in place where they should verbally tell customers of a change in refund policy. Ridiculous!

Unfortunately, my experience with Bernardo was the worst customer service I've had in a long time--especially troubling in a pharmacy, where customers are often sick, anxious, and vulnerable. I fully understand policies and wait times, and I always try to be respectful, having worked in the service industry myself. What I did not expect was the dismissive and rude way I was treated. While I was waiting, instead of simply asking if I was okay with another customer going ahead of me, Bernardo abruptly said, "Not you--I'm going to help the woman behind you," even though she arrived halfway through my wait. I've stood in long lines before and accepted delays without issue, but the lack of basic courtesy and communication was upsetting and unnecessary. Customer service in a healthcare setting should come with a baseline of empathy and professionalism. That was completely missing here. Bernardo could benefit from additional training in how to interact respectfully with patients. Based on this interaction, I would not feel comfortable being assisted by him again. Bernardo? More like BerNADA--because that's exactly how valued I felt.

A clerk told me they may be making the store smaller. That's why some shelves are cleared out. I was here on a sunny Saturday. Not too many customers, so I had a quick and easy experience. But the interesting thing was, they don't have alot of things locked up. Free parking in mall lot.

Pros.....location, ample parking, clean inside, and I got some vaccinations there. Cons....clerks are rarely of any help, pricing is so tricky/complicated that mistakes are made quite often. Even before COVID, there were a lot of empty spaces on the shelves. They rarely had all that I needed to get. It went downhill from there. I think most people come to a drug/variety store for (mostly) meds and personal necessity items. Instead they have groceries, patio furniture, plants (that look half dead from lack of water) and the ice-cream parlor. Speaking of which, while waiting in a line 6-deep.....there's a clerk scooping ice cream. If you are buying liquor, or even cough syrup......regardless of how old your are (I'm in my 70's) they require that you let them scan your driver's license (which gives them a lot of your personal info they have no business knowing). I can't speak for the pharmacy, cause I don't use it.....but I have seen a lot of one-star reviews from others.....? I won't miss them.....and look forward to a good store to move in to take their place, that will have full shelves and good management.

I absolutely dread coming to this place and today was the last time…read more Always a long line - it's confusing to "order" when there is NO "order" line, it's "consultation." I don't need a consultation, I just want my second batch of pills on my prescription. There is no one at any other window, just one super long line and you stand there for 20 minutes, when you finally get to the front, the lady first looks at my (hard copy) prescription and acts like she doesn't know what to do. Then tells me I need to go stand in the other "line" after I wasted 20 minutes. Every time I go here, they don't have my prescription and I ask my doctor, he shows me where he sent it (this has happened with two different doctors so it's not the doctor, it's this poorly run place). It's one of the worst run pharmacies I've ever been to in my life - and the people that work behind the counter absolutely could not care less. I hate to sound like one of those "in my day" people who whine about everything but it's true in this case - pharmacies used to have people who cared about the people coming in. This one just has people who want to get through the work day. They couldn't give an actual flying yahoo about any customer, they have the same attitude as a McDonald's worker. They act like they're being put out and the people in the (long) line are morons for using this pharmacy (perhaps that's true now in retrospect). They never have enough people working there and every time I come in, they come across as so ridiculously incompetent, you wonder if these people actually have the education to be working in pharmacy. Management at CVS will read this and laugh and go about their day. They don't care. Look at all the other reviews here. It's not just me, it's everyone. This is the last time I EVER step foot in a CVS. There is no reason for me to ever come to this or any other one ever again.

WHAT?! You can do that?! Amazing! The owner was very helpful in tracking that everything that needed new scripts was coming in, and voila, single pickup date per month. Pharmacists in big chains are being overworked, brutally, with metrics like scripts filled per hour the priority. This means any snag in YOUR issue is hard for them to prioritize. Contrast that with Oak Grove, where customer service comes first. Mom and pop pharmacists are a dying art, and worth their weight in gold.
