I made an inquiry at this location to see if they are a drop off the prescription pills. Jaznine answer the phone And was beyond helpful. Not only did she verify that it's a location she put me on hold to check to see if the collection container was full. She came back and let me know it was full and gave me alternative locations to go to. She also said if I could call back in a couple days to check if it's empty before I brought them down. People just don't go the extra mile anymore to make sure that the customers are happy. Kudos to her she really made my day read more

This has been my go-to CVS store for the past six years. Convenient location next to Bart and Safeway, parking is never an issue, and the new layout of the store looks great! The employees are always friendly and helpful. I always get rung up by Sharon M! She makes small talk, really nice, quick at getting things rung up so the lines are never long when I go there. Everything I need is always in stock and the aisles are nice and neat so I never have an issue finding anything. I'd recommend this CVS over any other drugstore in the area. Never a problem! Rude service conducted by the female worker there this morning. I booked an appointment for 8:40am online for a COVID rapid test and waited for the nurses to show up to work just to hear the female nurse say she could not help me until she clocked in...at 9 am (despite me having booked an appoint at 8:40). Finally, around 9:10, she called me in to check in while I was on a call with my insurance. This CVS is horrible. I have witnessed them being completely rude to other customers, including an elderly man who was left waiting for 30 min even though his Rx was ready. Personally, they have claimed I am out of refills despite my prior refills clearly showing multiple refills left. They have refused to follow up on the errors and told me to follow up with my doctors. None of these have been on controlled medications. Finally, on the flip side, they have requested and filled medications that didn't have refills WITHOUT my permission, which I am guessing is illegal, including an antibiotic that I last filled in March. This store has been remodeled and products are now placed more widely apart, which makes it easier to find items. However, there is no clear signage for the queue and therefore, people stand around near the CVS coupon machine, making it difficult to access. (The second CVS coupon machine is in the pharmacy department and it's also tough to access). Unfortunately, the pharmacy department is one that I would avoid. When I picked up a prescription for a family member, they gave me someone else's prescription! When I called the pharmacy directly, along with customer service, they apologized and told me to return to the store for the correct prescription. This was such a dangerous oversight, that I immediately transferred everything to another pharmacy, where the pharmacists actually double check things! read more

Don't use this location for testing. The staff is extremely rude. I arrived on time for my appointment but followed instructions on the signs to remain in my vehicle until called. I went into the mobile unit when I was called but it was past my appointment time. The staff refused to honor my appointment and we're very rude about it. I've been coming to this CVS for years since it's a quick drive from my house. Normally, it's in and out for me and they usually have what I need, no problems. Where they hit and miss is in customer service. For the most part the cashiers are friendly and great to talk with but other times they can be as sour as a lemon. Impatient, snarky and overall dismissive is best way to describe this location on a bad day. Today in particular there was an obvious language barrier between the customer and cashier. It was clear that the cashier was losing their cool and was ready to blow up at any minute. Fortunately, it was settled but could've been handled a lot better. I was helped by the store manager and he did not seem happy at all...could be that all their baskets were stolen apparently? According to one of the cashiers when I asked for one. Between the high prices, the gimmick coupons that always seem to have some sort of issue when we try to use them, or the "deal" is confusing & hard to figure out, then the speal about purchasing a "membership", while shopping the irritating loud voice that blasts automatically anytime we are near the make up section saying they are aware of you. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. This is a pharmacy where people come to seek help for medical purposes. The staff here is putrid when it comes to customer service. This CVS is in the Countrywood Shopping Center and although it's right near my favorite Walnut Creek Safeway, I often overlook it. That's a huge mistake on my part because after running some errands here this weekend, I realized that I could legitimately save on some of bathroom staples-hand lotion, conditioner, face wash, etc. With the CVS Extra Care card, you can earn points, get extra money off certain items and get certain mail in rebates. They also sent me a 20% coupon for confirming the email address I had set the card up on ages ago! Shame on me for not being more diligent in looking at their weekly sales and saving some bucks on stuff I would be getting elsewhere anyway. Clean and spacious store, friendly cashiers AND a cute a little garden center out front with some healthy and colorful flowers. Tack this place on now to my Sunday errands pre or post Safeway! The professional actually working at the minute clinic was really nice. there was an active construction in the minute clinic during operating hours... really safe! Plus the guy working at pharmacy is a total jerk. First just said well we don't do that here! Making it sound like I was at the wrong location I had to ask him where I should go before he told me with an attitude it was just a bit to the right in the middle of construction which is why I didn't think it was there!! But he treated me like I was a total moron for not thinking the clinic was in an active construction area working on the ceiling where stuff could fall on clients!! He Didn't say to check in at the computer just said "wait there" in the middle of the construction area then I saw a sign saying you can't wait there for your safety due to the construction... duh. it said to check in at the kiosk but i couldn't find it. I wasn't being a jerk or anything to the pharmacy, by the way. And also it's not like I come here everyday so I know where the check in "kiosk" is esp when it's all covered up!! and it's not even a "kiosk" it's a random computer with no signage and also the construction was completely blocking the check in area. I told the pharmacy guy I and he started yelling at me about "well you're just gonna have to tell them to move it!!!" I said there was a ton of stuff in the way and he's still yelling at me "well tell them to move it all!'! Terrible location as it puts clients in danger and on top of it treats them like crap!! Apparently I reviewed the Walgreens within close proximity a little unfair without a paralleled benchmarked experience. This CVS Rx should be embarrassed about the poor quality of customer service from the Pharmacist down through its staff. If rude, inconsiderate, and just plain nasty was a performance metric this Rx would received several awards for its nastiness and lousy interpersonal communication skills, not to mention lack for attention to detail. I honestly cannot believe the staff's poor customer service behaviors are allowed/encouraged. I want it to be clear, I am not some unreasonable person with unrealistic expectations. In a nutshell here is the Rx process. Dr. visit (emails, faxes or writes prescription)...patient (now a customer, subject to one of the above)...The Rx (receives, fills Prescription customer (provided the medication). It is not rocket science (give or take a few other administrative and quality checks to ensure things are kosher). The Rx staff needs training in customer service desperately. read more

I recently moved to a different neighborhood that has a Walgren's Drug Store that I can walk to, but I stay with my CVS because I like that store. The store is always well stocked, clean and most of the employees are terrific. Sharon, one of their clerks is always my favorite to check me out. She is very friendly, accommodating and efficient. This is the actual most trash pharmacy I have ever been to. Even when I call ahead to make sure my prescriptions are ready before I show up, they're still not ready when I show up. Even after I've received a text that they're ready AND called to confirm that they're ready, they still can't manage to get my prescriptions to me when I arrive and they make me wait another hour or another day when I don't have that kind of time. I don't have any other pharmacies near me that carry the medication that I take, so I'm screwed, but you don't have to be. Go to a different pharmacy. This one is awful, and you will spend a lot of time waiting for very little result. Their phone system is terrible, they're always way too busy, and it easily could end up being 2-3 trips to and from the pharmacy to pick up one med. Also, if you get a text that your med is ready and you don't go right away, they might shelf it, and it won't be ready when you come to pick up. And again, calling ahead doesn't work so it is just a rotten situation and a rotten place. read more

I have called CVS 14 times today over the course of 6 and a half hours trying to get my medication filled faster than the automated system predicted. It was going to involve working with my doctor's office, so I called CVS over and over trying to figure out exactly what was needed so I could call my doctor and make sure they submitted all info ASAP. No one in the pharmacy ever picked up. A few of those 14 calls were to the front store to ask what in god's name was going on that the pharmacy was ignoring all calls for the entire work day. No one there would help me because their "hands were tied." I get that customer service isn't an easy job, but I'm not calling relentlessly to buy tickets to Disneyland here, these are my medications, and I need them. CVS needs to staff their stores appropriately or at least find a way to ensure customers on the phone can be helped within a six and a half hour time frame. read more

Yes, I know that taking photos on rolls of film is pretty primordial, but I really enjoy the effect it gives photos. I have brought film here a number of times, each being very different. They always do a great job of developing my photos, but the customer service is all over the place. First Time: I was still getting used to using my film cameras, and one of my cameras had been broken (which I was unaware of), and one of my rolls of film was light leaked. The women who helped me was wonderful! She called me, leaving a lengthly voicemail explaining the situation, and later called again and spoke to my brother, followed by me. She was extremely helpful, and when we went to CVS to pick up the photos, she only charged me for the photos that turned out (which she didn't have to do). This experience left me declaring, "THIS IS THE BEST CVS IN HISTORY". I wish this was my experience every time at CVS, but sadly it was not the case. Third Time: CVS had not been calling me when my film comes in, so I have to check in store around a week later to see if it is there. It was there. Fifth Time: I call CVS to see if my film is there, and the man informs me that it takes upmost of three weeks to a month for my film to be developed, and does not check for me. Later that day, since I was nearby, I go into CVS and check to see if my film is there. Lo and behold, the same man is there, and proceeds to give me a 15 second lecture, basically consisting of " Ma-am, we will call you when your film gets here, and it takes from three weeks to a month." When it would take him literally 5 SECONDS to check and see if my film was there. He finally checked and informed me that it wasn't there (with a smirk). Sixth Time: I go to CVS and check to see if my film is there, the women asks if they called me so I say, "The past 4 times I have come here my film was here, and I was never called.", So she checks, and it was there. Heres the kicker, the film came in THE DAY AFTER I CHECKED WITH THE RUDE MAN. Nice try, "Check back in 2 weeks Ma-am." I have had customer service all over the spectrum, but the reason I keep coming back is that they do a good job processing my film, which they send to a special facility, and is a good price for prints and a CD. The are also good for just about anything you think you need, and they have a very large beauty section, about the whole back right of the store, 5-6 isles, and lots of candy, and snack food. The store is clean and well organized, though sometimes the checkers can be slow. read more
