CVS pharmacy does not care about the experience of ALL their patients. They do the bare minimum for patients who are prescribed controlled medications. If your script enters their system ONE DAY too soon it goes into the "forgotten pile of prescriptions" and no one, NO ONE at CVS will ever check on it again until the patient does the work--EVERY MONTH--to basically be a secretary and remind the pharmacy, "Hi, you already have my script and I'd like to get it filled now." EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH! Every single month I have to call and wait on hold, give them my info, and ask them to please fill the script they already have. This also causes me to have to leave the pick-up line and go back the the drop-off line just to ask them to check and fill the prescription they've already got their hands on. Additionally, if the medication is out of stock, they won't even place an order for it (for their own inventory) until your script is ready to be filled. Instead of ordering their out-of-stock medicine so that it arrives in their inventory by the time you'll be able to pick it up, they wait until you call them to fill it; then they check stock; then they PLACE an order for the medicine to be shipped to the store. Because of this ridiculous and convoluted process, my doctor appointments and my prescription fill dates have drifted nearly a month apart. Over the YEARS, I have complained about this issue many times. All CVS does is shrug their shoulders. They do not care. They are not solutions oriented. It would NOT BE DIFFICULT for whoever manages their internal software to create a separate "bin" or "inbox" (virtually in the computer system) that contains a list of scripts that are controlled substances and the fill date for the next script. One employee could scan the list every morning and fill the scripts that are ready to be filled; rather than having the patient do a job/task that the pharmacy should be doing. Could you imagine if every patient had to personally call in their own prescription, every single time, no matter if it's a refill or not. Consider how this would be a really poor business and customer experience decision... however, if you are prescribed a controlled medication, you don't have to imagine it because that's the sort of care CVS affords to their patients. My Walgreens was out of my medication for over a month and didn't call to let me know, so I thought I would transfer my prescription over to CVS, yes long lines, but I expect that, Jessica pharmacist was very helpful with my transfer . However , I noticed very tired and cranky ladies behind the counter. Usually people don't feel well when they are getting their RX, so a little kindness can go a long way. read more

Self check out = YES! Any store with a self check out automatically gets a smile from me. It's not that I don't like interacting with people, but I find that most CVS locations often have a VERY long line.. and if you're just trying to get one or two things, it's a bit frustrating. Case in point: I just needed an Ace bandage yesterday and was in and out in probably four minutes. Store appeared mostly tidy and I was fairly quickly able to find what I was looking for amongst the two health aisles. As you enter, they have one of those machines where you can key in your phone number or scan your Rewards card and print any applicable coupons, which is pretty neat. read more

I was looking for Ensure pudding for my grandpa and the first couple of CVS associates were terribly unhelpful, especially one of the pharmacy workers. When I questioned her about it she just said "look over there" and I said "I did and there isn't any", she shrugged and ignored me after that. I was very frustrated and after browsing the aisles one last time, I asked another pharmacy associate and this one, although surly, gave me some leads. read more

I just left Walgreens to take passport photos and it clearly states that they will be ready in minutes. I get there and the lady that "helped me" wasn't helpful at all, a little of attitude and when I asked her about how long the photos would be ready, she tells me that they will be ready the following day after 7pm. Horrible customer service and they should update their signs and not disclose something that is not accurate. I just got to CVS and they are very polite, they already took my photo, a dollar cheaper and as I'm typing this review they just told me that they are ready. Service at the pharmacy is terrible. If you are able to go to another CVS, you should do so. I took my son to pediatric urgent care across the plaza and the prescription for my toddler was sent to this CVS. The pharmacy was unable to find it, so I walked back to the urgent care to confirm the prescription was sent. It was sent. It took the CVS pharmacy two more attempts to find the prescription. After waiting for an hour, the pharmacist said he accidentally deleted the order so I had to give him the phone number to call the urgent care to resend the prescription. Go to another CVS to have your prescription filled. read more

Visited your location yesterday and walked out disgusted. The store smelled so bad I couldn't even breathe. It reeks of feces odor and the carpet was filthy dirty. How can you keep a pharmacy under these conditions? If someone became ill on your premises, it is your duty and a health ordinance to clean and disinfect appropriately. Photo department here is unorganized, rude, and incompetent. I ordered a custom photo book for Mother's Day and was excited to make my wife's first Mother's Day as a new mom special. I ordered on 5/11 and received an email confirmation on 5/12 that it was ready for pickup. I went and the book hadn't even been started on, the employee printed everything out and was doing it on the spot which took 30+ minutes. There were no apologies or explanation given and the employee seemed more annoyed than helpful. Afterwards, he said that they didn't have the paper for the custom cover available and they'd have to call around to other CVS stores in the area, I waited for another 15-20+ minutes and had no idea what was going on. I told them to call me and left, and didn't receive a call for 2 hours so I called them instead and they said they weren't able to find another store with it either. They said they'd refund me but I still haven't received it, and I wasn't able to give my wife the photo book that I had spent over an hour on picking and placing photos of the baby. For photo department only. Don't bother. I spent hours creating a custom Christmas card, sent it to the store via the portal and paid for it...plus paid extra for heavy card stock. I've had the run-around all day. Their printer was broken after they lied the night before that it had run out of paper. When I went the next day, they confessed the machine was broken and they couldn't fix it. They sent my order 7 miles away...where the next day I picked it up...not the right paper, no envelopes, no cutting of the cards in half and no decent 'I'm sorry" or how can I fix it. I burst into tears - first, how could they have such AWFUL customer service AND not even one person asked me how they could help. I took the cards, mad as hell, and called the #800. Slightly more helpful, they offered to send it to another store even more of a distance. No, not helpful. I finally got a full refund, but now I have cards on the wrong paper, no envelopes and now I have to go pay to have them cut. Bottom line, no one bothered to read the order or listen to me. Next time - I'm going to Shutterfly. read more

At 9 at night on a run to the drugstore, it appears as though there are many assorted drunks, druggies and mentally unstable peoples hanging about this store... But undeterred, I had a goal and that is to provide my son some relief from the cold/flu symptoms he's been harboring for the past two days. He's got to get well because I just can't afford to get sick and miss work. CVS has stocked all of their cold and flu remedies in about the first 4 aisles on the right. Thank you, CVS, because that makes it so much easier to get in and get out of your store. This is one of my favorite CVS's. It's always so clean and STOCKED. All the product is always pushed to the front and if I ever had a question, everyones been really nice and helpful. There's a machine that always spits out coupons according to your card and I always get 20-25% off coupons in the mail. I've also been to this pharmacy and never had an issue. read more

The store itself is ok, but everyone I come here for photos they unnecessarily cut off the edges so my photos cut off word on the bottom. If this happened once is be ok, but 3 tones is ridiculous. Even if I make sure the image I wanted printed is the correct size, it is cropped. And the ride female employee who works the photo counter doesn't care of your photos are ruined because "that's how they came over". If I size the photo prefecture for a 4x6 then it shouldn't be cut off. I'll find another CVS for my photo needs because this one had ruined too many of my photos. Edit: Just printed the same photos at FedEx across the street and although it cost a little more than double for the same amount of photos, they were not cropped weird. I'll be taking my photos to FedEx from now on. read more

Note to customers. Beware of this pharmacy! Tonight was the last time that I will use this pharmacy or CVS as a store. We have already called to transfer our prescriptions to another pharmacy. I have already reviewed the horrible lines that await you. Because he does not have insurance BF has used CVS for their low cost generic medicines. I have always considered the poor customer service a trade-off for the lower prices. Until tonight. After waiting my customary 15 minutes in line I stepped forward and gave the name and birth date for the medication I was picking up. I then proceeded to watch the pharmacy tech look through shelf after shelf, bin after bin for this one prescription. I noticed the shelves overflowing with packages of medicine. Overflowing into red bins on the floor. A complete disorganized mess. Without exaggeration I watched for easily 10 minutes while this gal was searching up and down and emptying shelves into red bins until she finally found my package. She then walks up and apologizes for the wait and proceeds to tell me the it will be $308 for my $11 prescription! Yes folks. The wrong medicine! If it were not for the price I may have never known! Then I watch as she ( The pharmacy tech) is filling the prescription for the correct medicine! My only assurance was that she had the pharmacist review the order before she brought it to me. I proceeded to complain about what appears to be a potential for a dangerous situation when she proceeds to tell me that CVS has cut staff and cut hours because they do not think this store has enough business in the pharmacy. She was not happy and genuinely concerned about what this has become. They are over worked and under staffed and we, the customers, are reaping the benefit. Look at the picture I have uploaded. Everytime my doctor calls in a new prescription they don't fill it until I call a few days later. They have it in their system but don't fill it. They must have an awful system that doesn't alert them. It's annoying AF. read more

The staff at the pharmacy here is excellent. They always go out of their way to help with issues that arise with prescriptions and insurance. I've been coming here for a while. The pharmacy is pretty on point. It's organized and they have pretty much everything you could need - to my wallet's dismay. It's hard for me to walk out of this place without dropping alot of money on everything I don't really need like hair ties, and bobby pins, and lotion, and chap stick, and and and and They make it a point to tell you about the extra bucks which is cool. Also, they honored my coupon after it expired which I really appreciated. BOTTOM LINE: Consistent, friendly and reliable - just what you need at the drug store. read more

This CVS location is very big and extremely well stocked, especially the cosmetics! They also have 2 self checkout computers so you do to have to wait on line if there is a long one. The store is nice and has enough of what you need, but one of the people who works there seems to have a habit of talking down to people. The way she was talking to me and other customers waiting in line was equal to pulling teeth almost as if she didn't want to be there. The reason I became aware of her attitude was because on 3/28 I went to the store to purchase an item and went through the self check out line. I needed a receipt but the machine didn't print it so one of the managers had to go to the back and print it, but I was there during my lunch break so I couldn't take too long. I asked where she went and the Cashier (she was Hispanic) had the strongest chola attitude you can imagine in providing me with an answer. Luckily for me since I stick up for myself so when the manager arrived later I let her know about her attitude but unfortunately I saw how she was talking to some of the elderly customers who weren't standing up for themselves. read more

I was using this pharmacy for more than 4 years for all prescription medication for the entire family. A lot of times I felt the medicines prescribed are costly but believed that that could be the real cost of those medicines. But two days back my dermatologist prescribed me a generic version of tretinoin topical cream for acne. I checked with the doctor how much it would cost and per him it would be around $60 to $75 without insurance as most Insurance don't pay for cosmetics. To my surprise, the pharmacist in this store told me it would cost $215 without insurance. I double checked with the pharmacist to make sure he is quoting the price of the generic tretinoin and not the branded Retin-A. Yes, they charge $215 for the generic version of tretinoin topical cream of 20 grams !! Unlike other times, I chose not to buy and went to Costco just two blocks away and they sell the very same cream just for $80. I had been using this pharmacy last 4 years without knowing that the medicines they sell were available at much lower price at nearby stores. I had bought a bottle of benzoyl peroxide from this store just two weeks ago by paying $247 (The invoice price was $447 and I my insurance paid $200) . Now I think how much it would have cost me had I bought It from somewhere else. This store was plundering me over 4 years. Not anymore. read more

I do all my pharmacy needs here for what they can provide . however on 2 occasions they were back ordered on medication. No effort was made to find it anywhere else or at another pharmacy. i called a local pharmacy and they had it.. However getting either pharmacy to transfer the prescription over was the most immature ignorant experience i've ever had. Each said have them call us.. they both said, i can't call the other pharmacy they keep me on hold too long, they block our calls etc... etc... i said well what would you like me to do? my dtr has now waited 4 days with no effort to get the medication.. i can't believe that the patient is not the first priority. i need the medication but both pharmacies won't transfer the script.. i don't know- fax the darn thing !! Grow up and fix the problem internally.. Managers should care what their staff are doing.. if your pharmacy can't get the medications- don't hold the script so the patient can't get their meds elsewhere.. read more

What a horrible, horrible store. I've never been in there without seeing someone storm out of the pharmacy because either their order was wrong or they were told their prescription was going to be ready and it wasn't. I've had both happen to me on a number of occasions. I've even called the day before to confirm my prescription was going to be ready only to have to wait an hour the next day because it wasn't filled yet. The store also doesn't ring you up correctly, so watch your receipts (if you're even unfortunate enough to have to go there). The ONLY reason I go there is because it's the only store near work that takes my insurance. Otherwise, I would never EVER patronize them again. read more

This CVS is great. I prefer this one as opposed to the 17th st one because of the staff. Every time I walk in I'm greeted with a genuine hello and if anyone walks by when I'm browsing around they always ask me if I need help with anything. It's always very clean and tidy and never out of stock on what I need. There is an older supervisor here that is the best. Usually a pretty good stop if Walgreens can't fulfill my needs (Walgreens is more convenient since its smaller and 24 hours). I shop here semi regularly, and work around the corner, so it's convenient. I came in July 5, asked the cashier if I could make photos from a CD-R, she said she did not know, and would ask her manager "Misty". The manager would not come out from the back room and would not talk to me, and called back several minutes later, only talking to the cashier, with no answer. I asked again whether I could leave my CD-R for one day photo service, and the cashier called the manager again, who then again would not come out or talk to me, and just told the cashier to tell me "no", and to tell me they could not take the liability for doing the photo's from the CD. All to say, this was poor management, poor service, and I will not attempt to order photos from CVS again, and this manager should reconsider her management style, which is completely lackadaisical. read more

The two old white women that work at this place are racist. The first time I went one of them asked me about my last name and then shot over this grossed out look. Now every time I have to come in for my medication they give me the run around for no reason. They always make up some ridiculous excuse as to why my medication "isn't ready" or "received", I always call my doctor immediately after and before I head over to double and they mention that they've sent it over multiple times that day. This is even when I get the automated call from their pharmacy that my medication is ready. When one of them is helping me and goes behind the shelf to grab something, the other will immediately run back their, whisper something to each other and they come back with the "we don't have your medication" nonsense. They are atrocious and incredibly incompetent. The entire staff at this pharmacy is incompetent, they're always running around frantic and never seem to understand what's going on. Last time I went in to pick up my medication that had been ready for a day, they handed me the wrong one. Thankfully I opened the bag before I left to double check, only to find out that it wasn't the medication that my doctor had sent over. They had me wait again AND call my doctor again because they were unable to do their part. When I went to ask one the older white women a question, because she was the one that was helping me, before I could even a word out she snapped back with attitude and told me to just come back later and wait. They have no business working there if they're going to be treating customers like that. read more

My review is only for the pharmacy at this CVS. This pharmacy is HORRIBLE! For years I went to the CVS in Irvine (@Harvard), but after moving to Tustin decided it only logical to move my pharmacy to this CVS. Every single time I come here there are always about 6-8 pharmacists working, yet there are always 10-15 people waiting in line to pick up (and minimum 2 in line to drop off). The pharmacists are always in chaos and tripping over each other to find each customer's prescriptions - which causes HORRIBLE customer service. Last week when dropping off prescriptions I was told the wait would be 1 hour because my medication was "special" and had to be "counted twice" - um, ok, then why did the Irvine CVS that I had been going to for YEARS only need a maximum of 25 minutes to fill this prescription? I stopped to pick up travel size items for an upcoming trip. I also picked up snacks and a couple of greeting cards. I am a Rewards customer and had received an email for 30% of this morning that I immediately sent to my Rewards card. The message said it was successfully sent. At check out I asked about the 30% off. The clerk said it didn't show up. Did I want her to cancel the transaction and start over??Really, rescan my 20 items. No thank you.
