They're pretty nice here. I've never had to wait an exorbitant amount of time--pretty standard for your average prescription. They have a drive-up prescription place, which is sweet. The pharmacy people have always been nice. As opposed to a few previous reviews, their appearance doesn't really make a difference to me. I'm not trying to date these people, I just want them to do me a good service (zing). The prices are high because it's a drugstore, not a Wal-Mart. Oh, and they have a massive liquor section including beer, a large variety of wines and spirits ranging from plastic handles of Popov to Grey Goose. Plus, they have a ton of mixers. I give this store 0 FUCKIN STARS. This is the absolute WORST store I've ever been in. Very unorganized, unethical, didn't help at all when I simply asked if they carried dog food and where it'd be. I picked up a perception as well that was supposed to be ready and they didn't have anything together. Every single person in there was rude. I mean, I know working at a cvs in a college town can be pretty challenging. I'm sure you deal with a lot of people who are rude to you and I get it, however, you can't just treat people with disrespect for no reason. I came to this CVS to get a few makeup essentials I needed. Found everything very easily, and went to the front to get checked out. There was not a single employee to be found up front, so I made my way to the back checkout counter, and there was a woman standing behind the counter. As I walked up she looked at me with a dirty look, and said "can I help you?" I said "yeah I just want to check out" and she proceeded to very rudely point out the self checkout station right next to the counter. This irritated me, but I said ok, and proceeded to check myself out. I scanned all of my items, and wanted to pay, but couldn't figure out how to pay with cash (hence why I dislike self checkouts) she comes over to me and VERY rudely displays the sign that says "card only, no cash" now, I didn't see this sign, it was early in the morning, brain might not have been functioning properly, but this woman used hand gestures like Vannah White to display the very obvious sign that said no cash. I was heated at this woman's actions. I said "well thanks for making me feel f***ing dumb" and then she said with a very irritating smile "well, I can check you out over here". SERIOUSLY?! WHY DIDNT YOU JUST CHECK ME OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE?! She then rings me up, I'm livid at this point doing my best not scream at her, and she's attempting to make small talk. "Did you find everything ok?" "Is there anything else I can do?" All while keeping that smug smile and tone. I bit my tongue and didn't say anything, and then when the transaction was done she said "I apologize for the confusion" Ok. Confusion. YOU MADE IT CONFUSING. YOU HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. YOU WERE RUDE AND ITS NOT EXCUSABLE. You're the same people who want $15 an hour, yet you can't even do the simple job you are given. This store is really small compared to most other CVS's and don't keep a lot of product on hand. So when there are really great sales you can expect the shelf to empty fast! Other than that small gripe, I love this store. The majority of the staff is very patient and understanding when I pull out a stack of coupons and "extra bucks" at the register, and have always been helpful when I needed assistance getting rainchecks or products from the back. Regular prices are high, so I wouldn't really recommend this store if you are in desperate need of anything except medicine. They do have amazing sales and clearance throughout the year and make it totally worth shopping here! read more

I like cvs, at times they do have good salesPlus with their red card they have a good reward program. They have quite a bit of good selection. However, every thing seems to be very higher in price. Staff is nice, but i will not use their pharmacy because, friends have told me they are extremly rude. So why bother there is too many other choices out there. I shop here frequently due to the fact it's right next to my work. I may stop all together after last night's experience. I went in to buy a bottle of wine and some beer. When I went to pay, I handed the checker my ID and she rejected it. I understood why, apparently in Arizona it's against state laws to accept an ID with a hole punch in it, even if it's from another state. That was no biggie. Honestly I was kind of expecting it. What I wasn't expecting was how rude the lady was. I didn't cause a scene and was actually pretty pleasant about it. She proceeded to scoff at me like I was some underage nuisance trying to illegally buy liquor. She's lucky I'm a nice person in general or I might have given her a piece of my mind. read more

This review is for the pharmacy only ! Wish I could give negative stars . This is the worst pharmacy ! Every time I go in they always have some issue with my insurance or with filling my prescriptions. I have no idea why it's always so difficult for them to fill anything for me. Considering I have not changed insurances or medications within the last 5 years of me using cvs on mill. Why they can't get their shit together is beyond me! I've never had such issues at other cvs locations . Oh beware of the extremely bitchy pharmacy techs . Customer service here sucks they treat you like scum. I know it's a great location for most people but there's a much better cvs pharmacy located on Broadway and McClintock . You've been warned ! I don't think this place even deserves a single star. I used to go here, but had a couple of terrible experiences the last times I was there. They used to be 'okay' but then they hired some new pharmacists that were totally rude and stuck up. I went in there in a lot of pain from a recent dentist appointment. The young girl at the counter didn't even greet me, she just took my prescription, looked at it, rolled her eyes and walked away. 10 minutes later she came back, without having said anything else and tells me "We don't have this". Why the hell would it take you that long to figure that out? Why were you so rude? Why didn't you have the medicine I needed? This place sucks and their employees have really sucky attitudes. I recommend this location for their pharmacy. Every time I go through the drive through, they are prompt and always have my script filled on time. When my prescription expired, they contacted my doctor to get it renewed without me even asking them. I was just there tonight and will never go back. I know it is not their fault, but the situation with the street people is extremely uncomfortable. I go in from the back parking lot. 3 weird looking people stood outside next to the back entrance and asked me if I felt "safe". Actually I didn't, but i avoided looking directly at them so as not to engage them in conversation. Was really nervous exiting out the back to my car as they again tried to speak with me. Let me start off by saying that I shop with CVS often, but do not live near ASU campus. I found myself in the area of this CVS and I parked at the CVS pharmacy location at 802 S Mill Ave, Tempe, AZ 85281 at approximately 10pm on 6-12-19. I parked there and walked inside the CVS to see if they carried a few things that I needed. I got a call from a friend and proceeded to walk right next door to the Chick-Fil-A parking lot. I thought nothing of doing this. I was gone for approximately 10-15 minutes and then I proceeded to return to the CVS to make some purchases for some allergy medication and other misc. things. I then came out from the CVS to discover that my car had been towed. When I talked to the front staff at the cash registers, they told me that there was a posted sign warning me that if I left the property that my car would be towed. They also told me that it didn't matter that I was a customer minutes earlier or that I had returned to buy more things. They told me it didn't matter, that the moment I left the store, my car was subject to tow. I want to stress that first off, there was one sign in the far left of the parking lot, that was 8 feet up in the air and was not well lit that. The sign simply states the following: CVS customer parking only. Then, in very small print that I could only read when zooming in with my camera, the sign says: Parking only while patronizing CVS. Do Not Leave Property. Then in much larger print below the sign states the typical info about tow fees and the number to call. I also want to mention that I am 6ft 5in tall and need glasses for distance that I had left in my car. This sign was not at a height or with large enough print that even I could read. Also, I had only left the property for about 10-15 minutes, after which I returned to make additional purchases. Additionally, it was 10pm at night and out of the 30 available parking spaces there were only 4 cars parked there. Mine was one of them. It is uncalled for and extremely inappropriate that my vehicle was towed. I could understand if this was mid-day with a full lot or something, but not then. I am concerned that all this CVS wanted to do was charge me money for the tow. Additionally. I then had to call the tow company, who were incredibly unpleasant on the phone with me. The agent I spoke with called me a liar, and literally yelled at me over the phone (threatening that if I didn't talk to them nicely that they wouldn't allow me to get my car back) .... Why would CVS do business with such a shady company if not to just make money. I then had to take an Uber to go to the tow company location (for a cost of $10), and I beat the tow driver there, who was arriving with my car. The tow shop, called Zip Tow forced me to pay $155 to get my car out of their lot. The charges included an afterhours gate access fee, a storage fee and a tow charge. In addition to this the tow lot also caused body damage to the roof, door, and rear bumper of my car in the form of scratches. I took dozens of pictures. I am furious at you, CVS, for treating me like this and for unnecessarily towing my car. I am also furious at how innocuous, unclear, and not well lit your tow warning signage on suite was. If it was clearly posted and well-lit, I could have easily driven to the Chick Fil A next door and then driven back. Also, the acting store supervisor and 3 additional members of her staff were not helpful at all. They told me that it didn't matter that I shopped there and was returning to shop. They told me that the fact that I left their property at all meant that I was subject to tow. Literally they made it very clear they didn't care about me, my business, or the fact that I've been using your pharmacy for 15 years. I also want to stress that this all occurred over a 30 min time frame. This is no way for any business to operate. read more

This cvs really does deserve all the low ratings. They are very busy but disorganized and probably that's why they have such a no can do attitude in their pharmacy. I was in town for a Tempe conference but forgot my CVS meds written in San Diego. Needed two days worth. First no one helps me in the consult line and so I wait in wrong line. Then they say they cannot do intrastate prescrip transfers even CVS to CVS. After waiting in line again I find out I can buy a few tablets to cover my 2 day stay. Well that's all I wanted! But I had to dig and fight they their no can do attitude. Like I said they're busy so that's probably why there so unhelpful. read more

They had my car towed after it being there for five minutes. They lied and said it was there for over two hours and then admitted they didn't know. That would be like Walmart or Olive Garden towing your car after five minutes. How dumb is that? Let alone I'm on a no-tow list for the area! But they didn't care to check. So I had to pay $155 to get MY car back. I'm boycotting. They clearly don't know how to treat customers. read more

I was a paying customer here and they towed my car. I purchased several items here, then picked up dinner next door and was gone only 15 minutes and they towed it away. What made it worse was that the manager had no idea who their towing company was and could offer 0 assistance on who or where to call to get it back. I went to this CVS to buy some syringes since I'm a diabetic and I forgot them at home and this was the closest pharmacy . The pharmacist would not sell them to me because they are a health risk even though I showed him my insulin and my prescription from Walgreens. I had to go get into my car and drive 2 miles to the closest Walgreens just to get them. Safe to say I will not be going back to any CVS.. read more

This place is really convenient since its open all the time. I don't use the pharmacy here, but I like the store. The prices aren't TOO outrageous and if you use their coupons it can cut down on prices. Use the extra bucks like cash and scan your CVS card at the front kiosk to get extra coupons. Sometimes they run of stuff that have extra bucks deals associated with them, but this isn't surprising and it happens less here than other CVS stores (less college kids that care about coupons/deals.) The check out people are really friendly and nice. The store is also very clean and I think has a larger selection of food than other CVS locations. But enter at your own risk, as for some reason the collective riffraff of Mill Ave and the weirdest people off the bus tend to congregate here. read more

Terrible service at the pharmacy. I stood waiting at drop off for a good 10 minutes before the ignorance got to be too much and I called out to one of the techs (the other had made eye contact then continued about his work as if he hadn't a good 5 minutes prior), who apparently had no idea I was even there. The man who took my prescription asked if I take x or y, as if it the correct medication wasn't typed out right there, making me think he'd just switch willy nilly if I had said the wrong one (these being controlled substances makes this even more troubling). I was refused for a fill of a script for Norcos because I had recently filled a similar script and the pharmacist used his discretion and determined that I was an addict and even called me one right there in the drive-through even with a valid script and my disabled placard clearly visible hanging from my rear view mirror. This cvs is often out of things and their coupon machine is down 50% of the time. They have self service checkouts which is convenient. They are also open 24 hours . The staff is friendly and helpful but usually busy. However they are more than willing to help if u can manage to find them. And this location also has a coin star and copier. read more

I love, love, love this location. It's close to my house, and I'm always greeted when I walk in. The staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They know where things are, should I ask. They also don't harass me or ask me if I need help. I always drop off my prescription at the drive-thru, and pick it up there too. The staff knows me pretty well now after coming there over a year. I feel comfortable doing business with this particular location. I would highly recommend them to family and friends. read more

I normally do not write bad reviews. However, I feel this one is deserved. I was at this CVS yesterday on my lunch break. I had about thirty minutes so I walked straight into the store and went to the photo printer. It wasn't working so it took me about 25 minutes to print my photo. When I walked outside my car was GONE. I frantically reached out to the staff thinking it was stolen. They said my car may have been towed even though I was shopping for only a little while. They couldn't assist me at all, so I had to rush outside to call a towing company. The towing company hung up on me when I plead my case and was outrageously rude. The cvs manager tried to call the towing company and just went with their story that I had left the premises. He refused to review any tapes so that I could prove myself. Mind you I NEVER LEFT. After a while, I had to beg an employee, who was actually very sweet, to back me up and let her manager know that she saw me in the store. He finally agreed that maybe the machines were to loud to hear the tow company call me on the intercom "three times". The tow company finally released my car after all of this stress. I was in there for two hours and had to disrupt a coworker to come help me since I did not have a car to get back to work. I will never go back to this cvs as they basically called me a liar to my face without any real proof and allowed a tow company to unrightfully take my car and try to charge me 300$ without checking the tapes to show my innocence. If you go, watch out for your car in the parking lot. read more

I was looking the other way when me and another guy almost walked into EACH OTHER today. He said nothing but, "Whoa!" and I said, "Sorry, buddy" in a pleasant tone as I walked around him, because it was apparently his trajectory line that he had proprietary rights to. No problem that he didn't say anything, but major problems that when he was about 15 feet away walking in the other direction, I heard this guy say, "Let's watch where we're walking!" or something to that effect. I turned around and walked after him because I clearly needed to retract my apology to this d-bag. He walked in the side door on the wall, then I realized he was an employee. I found out that this dude is the manager named Mark. Had I known this prick ran the place, I would have taken my $50 to Walgreens. That's a lot of money for a few items and I have been coming to CVS since I was a little kid. Not coming back here again. The bearded dude that used to be in the military was helpful, kind and knowledgable with my foot insole purchase. He should move into management. Immediately. Last night I went to CVS pharmacy. When I came out I found my car was towed. I called ZIP TOW and they gave me the run around. I tried to show the tow company my CVS receipt and asked them to call the pharmacist to verify I was there but they refused to listen to me. They said they had paged me several times and I was parked there all day which was a completely untrue. They threatened to send me to collection, sue me and call the police unless I paid. They wanted me to use their ATM to give them cash. After several hours I paid the couple hundred dollars and left with my car. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I will never be a customer of this CVS again! read more
