I…read moreregularly get Depo administered at CVS Minute Clinics so I was shocked that I was denied a service provided at the Minute Clinic due to a service provider's beliefs. I can understand exercising conscientious objection if you work at a private practice but the CVS Minute Clinic is not that. There was not another provider on staff who could administer Depo for me. Asserting her religious objection to fulfilling her professional obligation negatively impacted my health and access to care. As a medical provider, it is her duty to do no harm yet her refusal to administer Depo caused harm. Medical providers have a responsibility to respect patient autonomy. I have no qualms with her personal beliefs but allowing her beliefs to interfere with her professional duties, as a CVS employee, limits access to care. She should find alternative employment as she expected me to find alternative care.

Many times they are delayed and I am told they do not have the medication. I was just told I can not get an antibiotic the same day. Despite its $13-14 price tag and over-the-counter status, my insurance has always covered it, yet they insisted otherwise without offering real help. In contrast, when I contacted the Walgreens on E McDowell Rd, the difference was immediate. Although they were out of stock, they explained that their usual supplier no longer carries the product and offered to order it from a new provider. That level of effort and transparency was exactly what I needed. Because of this, I've transferred all my prescriptions to the E McDowell location. They even call to notify you if a prescription will be delayed--something the previous location never did. Their professionalism and customer care are a breath of fresh air. The ONLY reason I even still use this pharmacy is…read morebecause they usually have a specific medication I need, that other pharmacies in the area are ALWAYS consistently out of for some bizarre reason. They will text me that my order will be ready by a certain day and time, and EVERY SINGLE TIME it is never ready when I arrive even hours after was promised to have been filled. Some of the staff are not professional and are argumentative. I have to tell them every month, DO NOT CALL OR TEXT ME REFILL REMINDERS! I ONLY want notifications WHEN MEDICATION IS READY FOR PICKUP! They will remove me from their little cold call list, but then the next month I am put right back on their calling list! I have advised them numerous times, I am on a doctor approved alternate schedule than how my script is written, and today one of the reps tried to tell me that they "have to follow-up PER MY INSURANCE for compliance reasons" This is a bold face lie! I have spoken to both my insurance company AND doctor, and Walgreens is NOT in charge of my dosing schedule, that is between my doctor and I alone, my doctor has the right to prescribe off label and/or change my dosage at anytime, and my insurance does not get involved nor should Walgreens be involved in the matter. The kicker is, this particular medication the Walgreens rep lied to me about and said she had to call me for "insurance compliance reasons", isn't even a medication that has EVER been covered by my insurance! LOL. I have to pay out of pocket for this one, my insurance has ZERO to do with it, and I also haven't taken this medication in months, because I switched over to a similar product instead. So just a straight up LIE from this Walgreens Pharmacy "tech" . They should not be making unverified, nor especially UNTRUE statements to customers.. Unless you absolutely must, save yourself the frustration and avoid this place at ALL costs!

She always takes care of me when I come in to order my friend chicken and Habanero chicken! Straight forward, fast and I can see she works hard at her job! Occasionally, you'll see some items all disheveled but overall it's got everything you need. If you take the time to browse the end caps, you may find treasures marked down up to 90%! You have to have patience and take your time. Sometimes I get into trouble browsing these areas. Something you should know (if you don't already) is that all stores don't have the same markdowns. And the prices you see online are not always what's in the actual store. One could be way cheaper than the other, so hold on to those receipts or if you have the app, returns/exchanges are no problem! While you're here, there's a Starbies inside if you need anything lil pick-me-up while you shop. Employees are pretty helpful and friendly. This is one of the closer locations to my office, so it's great for drive-up orders too!

Edit: I talked to the manager, I believe his name was Isaiah, he was probably one of the most unhelpful managers I've ever talked to. Offered no urgency to get the expired items off the shelves. All he did was ask if I wanted to return for a refund or replace. After the return I went to check if there was still expired items and lo and behold... more expired medication. After using this my allergies only got worse and I was wondering why, but after checking the date everything made sense.
