This is the most cleanest and organized cvs I've ever been in. The employee that cashed me out was very nice. Young guy, maybe in his 20s. I usually go to walgreens but now I might come here since it's so nice and clean. I'm sad I didn't take pictures so you can see how well organized and decorated it is. I've never had a problem here before, but today made me believe they are way too incompetent to be handling vaccinations and medications. I had an appointment for my flu and Covid shots I was there a few minutes early. They told me they needed my part b card, so I went home to get it. When she tried to process it, she came back and said the name on the card was wrong and I needed to call Medicare. I went home to call Medicare who verified the card and said the problem wasn't the name, it was the wrong card. So I went back again (they were closed for lunch, so I waited 20 minutes) and told them they needed to process it under advantage (I shouldn't have to tell them that). They dithered on the computer for another 15 minutes and I said 'how about you give me my card back and we'll try again another time. I asked what the problem was. She said the computers were slow. This review is specifically for the pharmacy and should be zero stars. The interaction with the pharmacist is the worst I've ever experienced. When customers are picking up their medications, they are already not feeling well so the compassion really needs improvement. Raj is the pharmacist and during my 20 minute wait only to leave without my prescription, he had three negative interactions with customers. In all situations, Raj spoke down to each customer which appeared he enjoyed the confrontation. None left with what they came to get. It is clear they are understaffed for the number of customers but the customers should not be subject to the poor service. I hope this review will result in a change to staffing and additional training for Raj to provide better service. Bringing awareness if you visit this pharmacy. read more

I am not happy with my experience at CVS today at all. I purchased a First Response 3 pack pregnancy test box and displayed on the front of it was a "Save Five Dollars NOW" coupon but when I scanned it at the register, it would not recognize it so I asked the employee, the male employee with the very long black hair for assistance where he instead fumbled around for a few minutes repeatedly just telling me he "didn't know what to do" "Nothing could be done" He "didn't think you accepted this coupon", etc. etc. while he pretty much just shoved me off and told me I had to deal with it. He did not offer to get me a manager. He did not make what I would call an actual effort at honoring the coupon. As I told him I do not believe you all should sell items with manufacturer coupons displayed on the front if you are not going to honor those coupons because that is false advertisement so in the end, I was only able to use my own CVS account coupons which the receipt references. I ended up paying five dollars more than I should have and he kept my manufcoupon! I will attach a photo of the pregnancy tests for reference, although the coupon is now gone. I have shopped at this CVS for many years and I am completely displeased this service. We are living in more expensive times than at any other time in history so to some of us saving five dollars means a lot, it sure can make the difference between someone choosing to grab an item off of the shelf in the first place or not so refusing to help them once they get up to the register with said item is truly unacceptable. If your employees are not trained properly, then maybe some retraining is in order so that no one else gets overcharged as I was. read more

This store is great for general merchandise. The pharmacy is a whole different matter. There is no customer service when you call the pharmacy. I waited for 40 minutes, only to have my call answered by pharmacist and then put on hold again for 3 rd time. Mid- afternoon a Sunday, well before there closed lunch break. Called this morning at 9:20 am. Waited for 20 minutes. Call finally answered by male voice and asked to hold. Said I was next. Waited another ten minutes. The phone started ringing for approximately ten rings and again disconnected. The pharmacy manGer ( Derrick) is very nice in person, however the issue of not handling calls by his staff in a time efficient matter needs to be addressed by him and possibly the corporate office. I've been a loyal Longs Drugs customer my entire life, since shopping in the original Longs on Piedmont Ave in Oakland in the 60s as a kid and then CVS since Longs was sold. I've been using this CVS since moving to the D'Andrea neighborhood last May. The harried, rude employees and poor customer service in the pharmacy have already induced me to transfer all my prescription elsewhere. The "front of the store" employees have always provided great service but I've noticed the last couple of months that there never seems to be more than one employee working. I stopped in this morning to pick up NyQuil and cough drops. I looked around and saw the only employee on-duty was helping another customer so against my better judgment I used the self check-out. Well. . .NyQuil is an age restricted product so self check-out began flashing lights and repeatedly barking at me that someone was coming to assist as the machine was unable to determine whether my 65+ year-old self was over 18. The lone employee was already with a customer and if there was a manager on the property apparently something else was more pressing than customer service as they never ventured out of their office to assist. The rep filling the beverage merchandiser next to self check-out wondered aloud how much CVS would pay us for performing the duties of a CVS employee, we both got quite a laugh from that. The lone employee asked the customer he was assisting if he could go clear my machine before concluding their transaction and the young gentleman readily agreed. As he verified my age the lone employee confirmed he was the only employee at work at 12 o'clock on a Wednesday afternoon. I asked if this staffing level was common, he declined to reply but the expression on his face, even behind a mask, told me everything I needed to know. Thank you to that lone employee for dealing with all that was going on with class and thank you to the "other" customer for deferring to the old guy was the giant scar on the back of his head. After 60+ years as a loyal Longs/CVS customer - I'm done. Thomas and Joseph Long are probably both rolling over in their graves now that what they started as a successful service business in the 30s has devolved into an operation that treats their employees so poorly and is so unconcerned about anything other than the bottom line. This place is the worst. And I am moving my prescriptions after today! I called to see if my refill was ready... the girl answers and asks if she can put me on hold... then does so before I can say anything... after 15 minutes (FIFTEEN) she gets back on and asks, can I put you on hold! This time I was quicker and said "well I have always been on hold for 15 minutes", she tells me she is the only person working except the pharmacist who doesn't take calls. So I said I would just come in. How do you have one person working by themselves at a pharmacy? I am this irritated because this is the 3rd time this has happened! I get here and there are 6 people in line... I feel bad for the girl because it's BS she is here alone (except the pharmacist) The phone rings while I'm in line and THE PHARMACIST ANSWERS... So.... I am left on hold for 15 minutes to ask a quick question but when I get here he is capable of answering? So, I wait my 20 minutes and finally my prescription... and as I leave there another 6 people behind me. Um.... Hire staff! read more

If there where 20 stars, I would give them 20. Jane the Pharmacist is fantastic. Jane is a true Star. When I heard what my Prescriptions Would have cost, I almost fainted. I would have had 20 to live on until the 3rd of June. The Pharmacy I had it transferred from spelled my name wrong!!!!! Jane AKA "my new best friend" calmly took all of my Insurance Information, my Identification, and thankfully the cost went down from $372.00 to $12.00 dollars. I have never met such a compassionate Pharmacist. I have had 2 failed Back Surgeries and have been on Disability since 2003. I highly recommend this Pharmacy. Jane in particular. I'm still keeping this location at 4 stars for two reaaons. 1: It takes WAY TOO LONG for them to fill any sort of prescription over the past 3 months. 2 hours seems to be the standard amount of time, I've even waited up to 3 1/2-4 hours. For me this is frustrating because I have my prescriptions on file, 3 months at a time, but they won't allow me to call the day before it's due to schedule a pick up time only because of the type of medication it is. I get the excuse that "We can't process it until tomorrow". Yes, I KNOW THAT, however I KNOW that they can pull said hand written prescription that's been sitting in their pharmacy for 8 weeks and make sure they have the medication in stock AND schedule a pick up time for the next day. I USED TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS until the over exaggerated "Opiod Epidemic" fear gripped this country and changed everything for the negative. But that's a whole other subject. Reason 2: The Makeup Section. Why does this location NEVER seem to have any of the NEW makeup releases?!? The CVS on Prater and McCarran is little bit better in this area, but this one of Vista rarely if ever, has any new releases! They don't even have Nyx or Milani and they got rid of half of the Elf section and the Wet-n-Wild display is sad and small. I recommend going to the one on Prater for makeup, but double check to make sure it hasn't been opened and "swatched" by some rude, ignorant 13 year old that doesn't understand how a receipt and returns and exchanges work. The pharmacy staff is much better than they used to be. About 90% of the pharmacy staff know me and I know them and when the occasional floater staff member comes in to cover a shift, they've been ok for the most part. The general store staff is AWESOME! EVERY SINGLE PERSON IS REALLY COOL! They are kind, helpful, knowledgeable, funny, sweet, and overall just a fine example of how a CVS employee should be. If anyone from CVS reads this, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to have Wendy from the Prater store come up here and have them TRAIN her for about 3 months on how to do her job and interact with customers. That's a whole other review though And of course, DON'T FORGET YOUR EXTRACARE CARD! And USE IT EVERY TIME! I get so much back in Extrabucks whether it's from sales, quarterly rewards, or pharmacy and beauty. I probably get back at least $20 a month if not more. CVS rewards are much, much better than Walgreens! So yeah, this CVS location is pretty darn good. Stop in for a quick item or get any prescriptions filled here because they are very cool here!! Stopped in to pick up a prescription a couple days ago (Oct. 12th) and waited in line for almost 20 minutes. Then a rude pharmacy clerk said we're closed for lunch, is wasn't 1:30 yet, there was still time to give me my script. I keep saying I am going to move my scripts to Safeway, and now I am going to. The pharmacy at this CVS and some of it's employees leave a lot to be desired! I know several people that have transferred to Safeway or other pharmacy's because of this. I have been a customer of this CVS since it opened as Longs Drug Store. Also if you call the pharmacy you could die on hold!! It is always understaffed. Shame on the manager. But then I doubt anyone cares, if they did this wouldn't continue to happen!! read more

The store is ok, some times I can't find anybody. The pharmacy is helpful and friendly but they have two red lines taped to the ground and expect you to know you can only stand behind one.. you can be waiting awhile in the drop off line to be told to move to the other line and end up at the back of the line, again. So I never have the time to leave reviews, especially a bad one, because if I'm spending this time I'd rather help a business that tear it down, considering I myself am a business owner. I walked into this CVS on Monday, Dec 7th around 12pm to buy a few things. Initially as I walked it, looking a bit rough since I haven't slept in days taking care of a loved one, I realized this employee (I wish I knew her name) watching me the whole time. I ignored her as I went about looking at different lotions and for the best deal. Grabbed that and moved on to next isle, grabbed some chocolate, where she also followed too. I moved down to the water isle, and of course she was there. So I asked her if they had a specific water in a pack, she said no. So I moved on to next one to get some feminine products. Now mind you, I was looking for a good deal to get the best value (that's just what I do, I use coupons), there's a customer next to me and waiting for me to give her room to pick her items, I look to my right that same employee is approaching. I didn't think anything of it, my hands were full, clearly two sets of eyes are looking (something one would avoid if they're trying to pocket something) so I slipped them in a shopping tote that I brought with me, because I walked there since I lived right behind it. She comes at me, asks me for the products, looks in nag that I had which had nothing in except for what she saw me put in and asked me to leave. Now I've worked customer service all my life at family businesses, other stores, and my own, there's always a way of going about things and making sure that you're not accusing someone. She was out of line with how she handled things considering she was watching me since I walked in and followed throughout the store for no reason at all except for the fact that I may have looked rough? Still not a good reason. I hate and always make sure that no one steals, even if I don't work at a store because I know how it feels to have something stolen from you. This was unprofessional and uncalled for. I felt really offended, and decided to go to Safeway next door and buy my things there. So on my way back I went in to speak to the manager, and he was no better. They definitely need training on how to 1, stop assuming and only react if you're sure that something took place. And 2, to stop profiling someone based on how they look because I can guarantee if I had walked with nice clothes, had my hair, nails and makeup done she would've never approached me that way. My family and I used to go in here all the time but they have just lost a customer. read more

This CVS Pharmacy is horrid. Always seems there is only a pharmacist and a tech working. Expect to stand in line and wait while nobody is being helped. If you have to call and speak to someone, expect to wait at least five minutes on hold. Their App is horrid too....I refill a prescription, get a confirmation email then go to the store at the correct time and they never received the refill request. read more

I've frequently visited this CVS over the years. The staff is super friendly. They seem a bit overwhelmed at times, I've spent a lot of time standing in line and then waiting a long time for my prescriptions. But overall, I like this CVS. They treat their customers respectfully. read more

I am so furious with this store I could scream. They outright called me a thief, please let me know if you agree. A month ago I needed some razors. So just like that funny commercial with the security guard and the locked cases I have to get someone over to help me. I chose what I thought was a generic version of the MACH III razor as the CVS brand said, "Compare to MACH III" If I was thinking I would have realized that this was not a generic MACH III razor, but a whole different razor, but that was not how my head was working, so I thought I bought some cheap MACH III. So of course they do not fit my Gillette and I go to return them some time later. The white female behind the register says, "Do you have a receipt?" Oh sure, I got my CVS receipt from last month right here--NOT. But I kindly told her that I had the card I used. She immediately went, "Oh, well I'll have to call the manager" all poop faced and indignant. Here's the funny part. I was a Loss Prevention Manager for 12 years before going into the medical field, but you can't judge a book by its cover. I was wearing shorts and a big jacket. Why? Well, it was cold outside, but not in my car and I gave my wife a ride to CVS. Then I remembered the damn razors I kept forgetting to return. So I put on my jacket, went out in my shorts and house slippers looking less than normal. NONE OF THAT SHOULD HAVE MATTERED THOUGH, THE STORE IS NOT ALLOWED TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST HOW I CHOSE TO DRESS THAT DAY!! That lady judged me from moment one, then called her weasley little manager over to further inspect and suspect me. He says, "I can only give you store credit." I have no problem with that actually, it was acceptable as I had twenty dollars worth of stuff on the counter. So, they put it on a Gift Card back to me. She rings me up and I use my giftcard. $2.99? I said, "There must be some problem, I paid $8.99 for those razors." That's when manager/pitch-weasel CVS shill informs me that I get the dirtbag/crackhead price as I was lowly enough to not have my CVS receipt from weeks ago. This is where I'd decided that I had enough. First I informed them that NO shoplifter calls the staff over, draws attention to himself and asks for razors and then steals them. Then I kindly informed them that by their demeanor and actions they were in fact, in a roundabout way accusing me of stealing from them. I had the Credit Card I used that night and I used my CVS card when I bought them, yet none of that would prevent them from humiliating me in front of a line full of people. I finally left in a loud protest that I am not a shoplifter. The lady kept saying sorry, I guess she was just following orders from the top. So OK CVS, I am a 6'3 52 year old executive thief who came into your store, called over your staff, asked for razors and then stole them. Then, on a different day decided to return them. That is how you want a decent law-abiding citizen to feel for not keeping a receipt? Let's not point out that you made everyone choke on those fucking CVS cards and then they can't even track a purchase? I suppose I don't have to tell you assholes what you can do with my $6.00 you stole from me, but lest it to say the sun does not shine there. Oh and BTW, my annual salary is more than the manager and all the people working there put together, that is money CVS will never see again. read more

Pharmacy area only: Quality service when you get your turn. Seem to always be understaffed. Phoning isn't any guarantee you'll receive faster service than walking in. That being noted, thus far, they've been excellent in transferring over out of state meds and offering advice. read more

You can upload your pics off of your phone via wifi given that you've downloaded the app. The cashier seemed less than thrilled to be working, but oh well. I seldom use CVS as a pharmacy but I regularly go there for odd things like exchanging my propane tank. It is a bit hit-and-miss with the staff's effectiveness at times but they have always been pleasant which makes up for some of it. read more

Do NOT use this pharmacy!!! The pharmacist is the single worst pharmacist I've ever encountered. This is the slowest CVS in the area and she still was too busy to assist when she messed up. I just had my tonsils and anodes removed today, the pharmacist didn't even contact or inform my doctor they were out. She just told my girlfriend to come back tomorrow. I was in such bad pain, I had to call 911 and be watched overnight. All this could have been avoided if this female Indian pharmacist(best description I can give, due to she refused to give me her name over the phone) would had communicated to my doctor when she wasn't able to fill the prescription. I will be filing a formal complaint with the BOP.NV.gov, calling (775)850-1440 to file a complaint with the board over the phone as well and speaking with a lawyer about CVS covering my emergency visit today. The icing on the cake for this was when I spoke with her on the phone she said she was "too tired" to call other pharmacies and my doctor to resolve the problem. read more

Instead of giving up find a solution OR BETTER YET know your CVS products including the prescription management app. to pay on line. When you have a customer on the phone trying to understand what you are saying or instructing...."I'm not dealing with it, is not an answer or a solution.... .I called my local CVS Pharmacy (3 hours away in Roseville) who gave me great information and suggestions and was courteous I asked numerous questions and not once did I feel I was a burden, I was a customer. CVS Customer Care reset the app and informed me how it "really works" Definitely, for this situation it would never have worked not user or customer friendly in this situation. 1) couldn't wait 24 hours "delivery" 2) First time prescription after setting up the prescription management link to the EXTRA CARE card....Don't push a product app if you don't want to explain how it works. Do not come here if you want your prescription filled correctly. The pharmacy staff is a bunch of imbeciles. I've been going there for my medication for over a year and they never get anything right. I have a serious medical condition and they always seem to mess up my medication which is a huge problem for me. The pharmacy here sucks to put it bluntly. They never admit to their mistakes. My whole family has had problems with the pharmacy staff. They have lost our business and we are now getting our medication filled at different store. Went to this pharmacy today to fill my RX. The tech there , they tried to run my insurance and it was coming up as I don't exist. We called Cigna and they gave her the BIN and PCN numbers over and over and she was not entering them right.She kept running my script as if I were requesting brand name, the box that says label was marked by my Dr because I am allergic to the generic and they couldn't figure out how to run it as Dr requested for the brand name OMG there is a box you check in the system not very hard to do.Finally after an hour I said I've had enough your not doing right I am going elsewhere. i went across the street to Walgreen's and had NO issues!! They entered the info correctly and my co pay is 50.00 dollars not 200.00 dollars. The idiocy of this pharmacy and smiths just astounds me. I used to work in a pharmacy training as a tech and its really not that difficult to enter these numbers in the correct field. Come one people. So I will not be returning to CVS. read more

For the most part the CVS staff at the register is friendly and helpful. But today was definitely the last time (after 5 attempts) I went to this particular pharmacy. No. 1, the pharmacy staff let me wait every single time for at least (!) 5-6 minutes although no other customer was around. Every member of the pharmacy staff seemed (or pretended?) to be busy with folding papers or sorting the prescription bags or something similarly "urgent". When I tried to catch somebody's attention, I was put off with a sluggish "Be right with you." - just for letting me wait another couple of minutes. And when finally somebody felt they couldn't let me wait any longer, the consultation was uninterested and halfhearted. Sorry, but there's nothing positive I can say about the pharmacy. Again, the other staff at this CVS location is nice and friendly but the Chief Pharmacist (or whoever is in charge of the pharmacy) should get the staff through some thourough customer service training. read more

never use this pharmacy!!!!!!!!!! went there after urgent care and they didn't have any codiene couph medicine while it's flu season, so who ever is doing the ordering is not doiing a very good job. i walked right next door to safeway and had that filled in 10 min. i was too tired to go back and wait for the other rx's so went home. next day went to pick up my antibiotic and inhaler and another couph medicine. they had not yet filled it!! then they wanted me to wait while they entered my insurance information and i would have had to wait behind two other people! i left called and talked to the pharmacist and she got on it. unbelievable. they need more staffing. i will not be using cvs in the future with go to a competitor. i suppose no one at the company cares about lost business. the stock holders might! read more
