I wish there was an option for Zero Stars. I got to the pharmacy at about 1:20 PM and was waiting in line. By the time I made it to the counter the pharmacy worker told me they were closed for lunch. I told him I had been waiting for 10 minutes and he clearly saw me in line, why not tell me they were closing? Worse than that, the entire pharmacy closed for lunch, rather than staggering lunch times like every other business in America. I went home, called my doctor, and had the few prescriptions I do have transferred to Costco. Now that I don't get my prescriptions there I have no need to shop for other things there so I don't go to CVS anymore. Good luck. Goodbye. read more

I would not go here after dark, it seems like there are a lot of interesting people who hang around the premise. There is a parking lot but it's metered...I'm not sure who checks these meters, but that's definitely weird. Why have a parking lot at that point? Anyways, the shelves were stocked decently for a worldwide pandemic. The cashier was also very kind. There was a bit of a line when I came in the store and no one was rushing to open up another. The prices are marked up in comparison to the grocery store or a larger store such as Target. I think this is a fine place for something you forgot at the grocery store or a last minute purchase. read more

This is an odd location. Like Matt said, metered spots?! It's because of the area but still.. if your truly just stopping to go to CVS there should be some more unmetered areas they have like 3 spots and the handicap area. But other than that, this CVS has what you need. Can't really bash the actual establishment and it's the city that put the meters there.. although I must say I frequent the area and actually never noticed the meters til this past weekend........ *knock on wood* I stopped in a few times over the years, went here again this past weekend to pick something up after a Tavern run, found what I needed quickly and used the self check-out. My review is NOT of any employee or any particular local (Somerville, MA) location. I've had relatively good service and polite staff help me at all of the Somerville locations. NO, THIS REVIEW is of the FALSE ADVERTISING of "free pharmaceutical delivery". I just spent 4 hours inquiring how to set that up, with several hours on the phone with various CVS representatives, creating and adding/correcting information on my CVS account, only to have to add the "app" to my phone, then attempt "free delivery" - only to find that IT IS NOT "FREE" !!!!!!!!!!!! The cheapest delivery is $5. Most pharmaceuticals are filled on a MONTHLY basis. Most patients have their refills coordinated, or they should (if they are smart enough). But to get the "free delivery" - you have to PURCHASE a yearly "membership", which... wait for it.... wait for it... costs $5/month. So, if you need once a month "delivery", then you can either pay for it outright, or submit to being auto-billed monthly THE SAME AMOUNT. EITHER WAY ---- NOT "FREE" !!!! If anyone else feels similarly and wishes to firebomb CVS headquarters (when it is vacant - so no person gets hurt) - I have no problem with that. Maybe someone has a load of ROTTEN FISH that they can dump into the headquarters? Maybe some hedgefund managers can manipulate the stock into CRASHING and causing the shareholders to LOSE THEIR MONEY? Please? Anyone? Someone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? I went in to pick up my meds, I asked the tech exactly what one was for bc I didn't recognise the name, her name is NIKKI, she was not friendly, does not smile, very rude, she gave the wrong info, I paid and when I got home, I checked and it was a medication I don't take anymore, I called and was very upset, she wouldn't hear it and hung up on me twice! I spoke with 2 managers and hope she never treats anyone like that again! I paid over $60 dls and ended up throwing away. Really sad someone like that works at CVS read more

I hate that this is our local drug store. At first I thought it would be no different from the Rite Aid I was used to frequenting, but nope. The pharmacy staff seem to have no idea what's going on and take FOREVER, also I can never seem to find anything I need in this place. They don't have the random things that you can find in other drug stores like, I don't know, games, string, craft stuff. Seedy clientele always coming in. And everything is more expensive here than any other store. They're not even open late! I will say that they have a decent collection of grocery items like bread and other staples. read more

**This CVS is AWFUL for SHOPPING. Blame the higher ups. They have removed the self-checkouts so there's ALWAYS incredible lines. There are times when I'll sprint to get a PowerAde because I know I'll be stuck behind somebody with a huge inventory. To add insult to injury, they usually only have one person at the register. This, like all CVS's, is a dependable drugstore/pharmacy with vaguely nice hit-or-miss employees that pretty much everyone uses at one point or another. What distinguishes this CVS from the rest in the area is the parking situation. You see, this CVS has a parking lot around it. However, they are all FUCKING METERED! If you run in to grab a dr pepper and don't throw change in the meter expect a $25 ticket because the meter maids will just on your car. I've seen them stare at someone walking in without even warning them that they would get ticketed. Assholes. I blame CVS. read more

Probably has the worst pharmacy ever! Prescriptions are not ready when promised. And you don't find that out until you show up to pick it up. So if it's a time sensitive prescription, you are screwed!! Things are frequently out of stock, which they also don't call about. And the auto-fill is unreliable. Although the pharmacists apologize (sometimes) improvements to the services seem nonexistent. read more

Now they have removed the 3 available self-checkout stations, replacing them with cash registers. Unfortunately, they still only have 1 cashier. I ask 2 simple questions: Were self-checkout stations efficient? So-so. Were they more efficient than EMPTY cash registers? The management seems to have gotten this answer wrong. read more

I dont have any complaints. They have never done me wrong. Yeah metered parking sucks, but otherwise they are ok. Some employees are not as nice as others, but the majority are really nice and helpful. I know most of them by face, but can't think of them by name, except Christine. For me convieniance is everything,I live very close to this store but the parking is terrible,Ive gotten many parking tickets here over the yrs..the public lot serves multi-businesses,it also serves the pub across the street so if theres a game on forget parking in this lot..its sucks... As for the store the pharmacy, its good but the line can be long at times which is not good if your not feeling well and waiting,although I understand meds shouldnt be rushed.. Now the store itself has a really bad inventory problem with over the counter meds 5 out of 10 times I cant find what I need because its out of stock, its very aggravating when I pick up presciptions meds here and then I have to go to walgreens up the street for over the counter meds like advil,aspirin,cold medincines,body ache creams,rubbing alcohol ect.....also the checkout in front is terrible,long lines, one cashier working and no self checkout anymore but I must add the older cashiers that have been there for years are very nice ladies...but sorry cvs Im switching to walgreens on broadway for my prescriptions meds because the parking is free,theres plenty of spots the lot is huge,and there inventory is really kept up,they always have what I need and thats the deal breaker for me..no more parking tickets,and aggravation...its a shame been Ive been using cvs for over 30 yrs...just hope walgreens is good with my prescription meds and needs and of course customer service... read more

I love this cvs . But as i am disapoited about the pharamcy. Lady used my extra bucks on my medications i had 18 dollars in extra bucks and extra bucks are not allowed to be used on medication within the pharmacy i lost 18 dollars on medication that costs 5 read more

I HATE THIS PLACE. I have gotten several tickets waiting while I've dealt with the pharmacy's incompetence waiting for them to fix whatever they have done incorrectly to my prescription because apparently 30 minutes is not enough time to run in and pick up your prescription and a bottle of body wash, which they are out of half the time because the store also apparently doesn't know how to manage inventory either. There are a few normal employees there, but several of them look like they've been hired out of a crack house rehabilitation and the pharmacy staff have no remorse or customer service when they are helping you. They act like you're bothering them and you are the reason they lost your refill or whatever idiotic thing they've done. I've transferred to Walgreens in Winter Hill, which is well lit, much better stocked and has much better customer service and competence even though I can walk to this CVS from my apartment. read more

This is for the pharmacy only. I am in this cvs multiple times a week. The main pharmacists are great. They will go above and beyond to get you what you need, talk to your insurance, doctors, etc. They are very kind and caring. They will give you their honest opinion of generics vs non generics, best stuff to take to counter side effects, etc, and if they don't know an answer or think you should call your doctor they will tell you that, too. They will hold a prescription for a few days and not fill it until you really need it, but also, if you drop something off and are waiting in pain they understand this and fill it really fast. Sometimes they have trainees or non pharmacy people working there who are not as good and make mistakes. And the rest of the store isn't the best, parking is terrible, etc. I have seen the pharmacy be incredibly patient and calming when people in all sorts of mental states yell, curse, etc at them which is impressive. If you are a medically complicated person who genuinely wants a relationship with a local pharmacy, this cvs does fine. read more

There are long lines and use to when i forgot my cvs card i could just click the cvs card on the checkout and still get the savings but now there are no self checkouts and they charge you the full price as if you dont have a cvs card at all. Definitely need to bring back the self check out even though they sucked. Alot of the time the evening cashiers in this store have no idea what they are doing. Ringing in items multiple times not paying attention to the customer making sure everything is getting rung in right .
