I LOVE POPUP BAGELS! I usually go to their location in Seaport but I was in the area the other day, & honestly didn't even realize they had one here in Assembly Row. I am in loveee with how PopUp Bagels operates. It's a pretty small store BUT you basically walk in, order at the register, & by the time you finish paying, your order is ready!! Unlike other bagel shops around, they don't run out of bagels by 9am (not that I've experienced), no matter how busy they get. I can't count how many times I've showed up to a bagel spot by 8am ON A SATURDAY & they're already out of all bagels... pretty much close for the day lol. The bagels I enjoy getting are the everything bagel and the salt bagel. They pair very well with the scallion spread-- my absolute favorite! They're super soft and easy to pull apart. No need to cut the bagels in half, just dip a piece in the scallion smear (or whichever smear you get), & it's the perfect bite. As for the price, yes they're a bit pricey & you can only order the bagels in these quantities: 3 bagels w/ 1 smear ($15), 6 bagels w/ 1 smear ($22), or 12 bagels w/ 2 smears ($42). Unfortunately, you can't buy just one singular bagel here. They have two smears that they have available year round, as well as some limited edition smears. Very quick & efficient ordering experience when I visited yesterday. Will definitely be back again soon!

Ever since I had Popup bagels, I've been coming back ever since! Their bagels always come in fresh, popping hot! I've also been following their instagram for a while in case they come out with interesting flavors (they have limited edition bagels that rotate each week that are super unique). Quick, friendly service, and they usually have a few chairs for a quick bite inside the shop. They're a bit on the pricier side, but so good!! The smear that comes with the set is also a good size and so I always bring that home for more bagels at the house.

Good bagels but bagel size was definitely on the smaller side. High priced for what they offer. Limited seating inside the shop. Service was efficient

A small, inviting little shop with the kindest service and delicious hot, fresh bagels. I was so excited for this to come to Assembly row! I had a sesame bagel with scallion schmear and I love that the idea is to dip it. A different way to enjoy a classic. The bagels are so soft but crispy on the outside and absolutely delicious. I also got some honey butter for my husband which we loved.

Yummy coffee and garlic seeded bagel.

The blueberry bagel I had that day was absolutely superb, probably the best blueberry bagel I've ever had in Boston. A few days later, I craved that same blueberry bagel and made the trip back, which is a considerable drive for me. Upon arrival, I was told that blueberry bagels are not offered every day and are only available on Thursdays. I returned the following Thursday, but the experience was very different. I got blueberry, poppy, and a few other bagels to take home. Unfortunately, all of them were absolutely disappointing. They tasted extremely off and very different from the blueberry bagel I had previously. At home, my family ate about half of what we purchased, but none of us had any desire to finish the rest. Overall, the experience was unpleasant, and the bagels were not enjoyable at all. The blueberry bagel from my first visit looked and tasted amazing and was completely different in quality from what I received on my second visit. On top of that, the person behind the counter seemed careless with hygiene, touching the screen, bagels, and other surfaces without any apparent attention to cleanliness. It felt like a completely different place compared to my first visit just a couple of weeks earlier. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed.

The space is pretty tight and it was really busy when I showed up but absolutely cleared out as I sat down to eat. I ordered a cold brew, which was a bit watery, but I like it super dark so it's probably just my taste preference. They put the milk/cream in for you and you pick the coffee up in a separate spot from the food. They call your name for both pickups. For food I got the devilled egg open face bagel that has bacon on top on a whole wheat everything bagel. Eating it was intense. I couldn't put it down once I picked up each side and had to be very careful not to spill the egg mixture off the top. It took a while to eat but was amazingly delicious and exactly what I wanted. I would eat it everyday if I could. If it came with micro greens on top, it would be even better. The mixture had red onions which gave it a punch and crunchy texture. I considered adding salt to the mixture on top but I'm glad I didn't because the bagel itself had sea salt so each bite was salty enough. When I ordered I asked if I could also get 2 bagels to bring home and I was told the limit is 1 on weekends and 2 during the week. The manager (I assume) stepped in and said I could have 2 so I chose the rosemary sea salt, which the only have on weekends. I made breakfast sandwiches on them the next day and it was heavenly. Being Italian, bread is very important...so after a week of research (yes a week...I told you it's important) I brave the elements to check out Iggy's. I get there and I wasn't alone. Not only were there a handful of people outside (in a Nor'easter!) eating their purchases, but inside, the line was probably 10-12 deep, wrapped around the interior. As I gazed at the hefty selection of carb goodness, (the shelves were packed with not only countless bread selections, but amazing looking flatbreads, cookies, sandwiches, bagels, and much more!) I was taken in by the awesome vibe and ambiance...cozy, warm, inviting. It was as if someone opened up a warm boule that I was invited to climb into to enjoy the fresh smells, sweet foods, and soft sounds emanating from the turntable spinning vinyl from the table on the side. While the line appeared long, it moved swiftly, as there were at least 4 employees behind the counter expertly assisting customers with their Saturday starchy needs. When my turn arrived, while I wanted to go crazy and get one of each, I contained myself and got two ciabatta squares (great size and value at $4.50 per) and I also couldn't resist a Cranberry Pecan Pullman for Saturday night snacking (also generous in size and nice value at $7.50). Got in my car and noticed immediately how fresh and perfect in texture each loaf was; not to mention how wonderful my car smelled almost immediately. So before this review gets stale, in closing...Iggy's exceeded my expectations. Beautiful location (ample parking by the way), awesome vibes, kind and helpful staff, great selection and value, and let's not forget...the taste :) chefs kiss. Because yeah, I may have bust into the Cranberry Pecan on the way home. :) Be sure to check them out. Definitely worth the visit!

Want your bagel toasted with cream cheese? Nope. They don't toast there. Single serve cream cheese? Nope, gotta buy a full tub. Having never been there before with a group of out-of-towners, we did not know that. Since the minimum order is 3 we decided the three of us would place an order together and all get one bagel + cream cheese, not understanding that it was a full tub of cream cheese each because no one explained that to us. That order of 3 bagels plus a drink came to $29!!! The bagels may be fresh out of the oven, but there is still a difference in the texture and consistency of a toasted bagel that I strongly prefer. Their bagels are super doughy and soft, almost gummy inside. And you have to eat them right away or they get hard. And the everything bagels are so overloaded they make an insane mess as soon as you pick them up. Expect seeds to go literally everywhere. Wholly underwhelming and overpriced. Not for me.
