Service was incredible. I asked them questions not realizing the menu was right in front of me and they were patient and kind. I ordered two sandwiches: bacon egg cheese on rosemary salt bagel with hot sauce and a sausage egg cheese on rosemary salt bagel with bacon cream cheese. Both were hot and fresh- We really enjoyed the inside of the sandwiches (meat/egg/cheese/sauce) however the bagel itself was hard. The taste of the bagel was great but the hard texture made it tough to eat. Still trying to find a fluffy NY bagel sandwich in Boston, but I would try them again!

I honestly was not planning to come to Brick Street Bagel. This was 100% a real fatty move... but no regrets. I had just finished breakfast at Broadway's and somehow convinced myself that if I didn't grab a bagel here, I'd be missing out on a true Southie experience. I'm glad I did. The bagel was warm, the cream cheese was generous, and it just hit. Exactly what you want from a solid bagel spot. I ordered the cheese crust bagel, it was a lot, but in a delicious way. Next time I'd probably go plain though. The chocolate milk was a bit thicc for my liking, but still really good. Prepare to stand in line if you come during peak breakfast hours. The place is tiny. Definitely a grab-and-go situation. I got lucky and came around noonish so it wasn't packed, but apparently it's a hot commodity in the mornings. If you're in Southie, this is a must-visit. I'd definitely come back.

Good first visit to the new brick and motor location of Brick Street Bagels, which up until now (and still going forward) was a pop-up next to the South End Buttery. The bad news is that the parking is no better and there's no indoor dining (it's not much bigger than a closet), which kinda dilutes the excitement of a brick and mortar, but there's the potential of future seating (and bathrooms?) next door. The good news is that they're still among Boston's top handful of bagel joints, now serving bagels with toppings, served open faced (my preference, actually), and the configurations are superb. -- My wife's Tomato Bagel: Scallion cream cheese, tomato, olive oil, heirloom tomato. -- My Classic Lox: Scallion cream cheese, lox, red onion, dill, capers, olive ail, black pepper. They also have a second lox bagel that I'll try next time. That one has dill pickle cream cheese, lox, pickled red onion, dill and mint oil. If a stranger in front of me had debated out loud which lox version to try, I'd have grabbed him by the arm and insisted we split 'em both (my wife is vegetarian, so not an option either her). The flavors and textures popped. Everything in balance. Perhaps a tad light on the cream cheese-- nothing problematic, but at these prices, skimping is more noticeable. There's a line and it doesn't move as quickly now that bagel sandwiches are in the mix, but it moves quickly enough and staff is friendly and upbeat. Bagel snobs take note: they (gasp) toast their bagels by default, so be sure to request otherwise if that's going to inflict emotional pain. Yes, I prefer mine untoasted-- especially since they're fresh and warm already-- but I survived. It's a little pricey, but worth it, I think, as long as you're getting something to eat within the next hour. Bags of bagels and tubs of cream cheese for later add up quickly. Coffee by Atomic is superb. Overall, really good, as long as you take in those caveats noted above.

The line out door every morning says it all. The bagels live up to the hype and then some. Plain bagel is tasty on its own with a good, crusty outside chew and soft interior. This and Cheddar, my favorites. Schmears are creamy and fresh, not like the chalky stuff from a grocery store or food distributor. Bagel sandwiches - dill pickle concoction was amazing. Ordered mine without lox since I'm allergic and it was still very good.

Brand new addition to Southie! The smell of bagels is delicious as you get closer. Will be one of my go-tos on the street! Must try the lox on everything bagel.

My favorite bagel store is open! It smells delicious and looks gorgeous, can't wait to go here every day! The bagels taste even better. They are still missing carry out boxes and take out bags, so you'll need to buy a tote to take your bagels home or bring your own. Not the worst problem to have.... Be kind to them as it's still their first week! Beware the totes are atrociously expensive (~$30!) but very cute. I now am a proud owner of one lol

Tried on the new bagel breakfast sandwich from brick street today and found myself a bit disappointed. The bagel came out over toasted- nearly burnt- and it ended up making the whole sandwich hard to enjoy. I know the breakfast sandwiches are a new addition to the menu so perhaps they will improve this for the future

Amazing bagels line always! I went on a Saturday morning and there was a line that wrapped around the building but I was able to get in within 15 min. The shop is pretty small inside - there's no seating and it's a single line to check out and to get your bagel. The sandwiches were made really quickly too.

A cute neighborhood bagel shop with a modest menu and sweet staff. The bagels? WORTH THE HYPE!!! The cheddar bagel with pickle cream cheese was life changing. 100/10, pure perfection, NO NOTES!

Spicy bacon, "egg" and cheese on a toasted everything bagel

We were genuinely excited to try what appears to be the first bagel shop in Southie, but the experience was disappointing on every level. We ordered three menu items: the Classix Lox, Mother's Garden, and a sausage and cheese bagel. When the cashier entered it into the system as a sausage, egg, and cheese bagel, I asked to just put the egg on the side. This request caused immediate confusion, which I had to clarify multiple times. The cashiers even consulted with the cooks to figure out whether this was even possible, ultimately telling us it "couldn't be done." The entire exchange made it feel as though we were asking for something completely unprecedented. This was especially surprising given that the eggs and meats are clearly pre-cooked and reheated, and they could have just put the egg in one of their containers with the sandwich. Despite refusing to put the egg on the side, we were still charged for a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. When we got home, we realized we had been given the wrong sandwich entirely--a spicy bacon, egg, and cheese instead of sausage. Even that incorrect order was poorly assembled, with barely any egg on one side and none on the other (see photo). You truly cannot make this up. The remaining sandwiches were underwhelming. Cream cheese portions were extremely skimpy, the bagels themselves were just okay, and the pricing felt unjustified for the quality. As someone who worked at a bagel shop as a teen, this was especially disappointing from a service, execution, and value standpoint. We waited in line hoping this would become a new neighborhood go-to, but it's simply a convenient location--not a good bagel shop. We won't be returning. If you're willing to go a bit farther, PopUp Bagels in Seaport is significantly better in terms of bagel quality and taste, spreads, lox, and customer service, and is well worth the extra 15 min walk for us. For closer neighborhood gems for a quick breakfast, Broadway's Pastry & Coffee Shop across the street or Publico's $10 weekend breakfast boxes (which also come with breakfast potatoes and a cold brew) are far better choices.

They don't sell whitefish so that's a -1. Other than that, the bagels are pretty good for the area. Ambiance is cute.

The blueberry bagel I had that day was absolutely superb, probably the best blueberry bagel I've ever had in Boston. A few days later, I craved that same blueberry bagel and made the trip back, which is a considerable drive for me. Upon arrival, I was told that blueberry bagels are not offered every day and are only available on Thursdays. I returned the following Thursday, but the experience was very different. I got blueberry, poppy, and a few other bagels to take home. Unfortunately, all of them were absolutely disappointing. They tasted extremely off and very different from the blueberry bagel I had previously. At home, my family ate about half of what we purchased, but none of us had any desire to finish the rest. Overall, the experience was unpleasant, and the bagels were not enjoyable at all. The blueberry bagel from my first visit looked and tasted amazing and was completely different in quality from what I received on my second visit. On top of that, the person behind the counter seemed careless with hygiene, touching the screen, bagels, and other surfaces without any apparent attention to cleanliness. It felt like a completely different place compared to my first visit just a couple of weeks earlier. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed.
