Best bagels I had so far. There's not a lot of space, I would take it to go. People are very nice there and it was 30 for all the bagels. 2 had salmon, the egg was okay.

There's lots of good bagels in Boston, but nothing quite like this one. This authentic m spot serves up the most fluffy, chewy, soft, and flavorful jewish bagels you'll find anywhere in Massachusetts! I absolutely adore the authenticity of this spot and it's definitely become my new favorite for bagel sandwiches. Not only do they have a variety of bagel flavors for whatever you're craving, but they have many fresh ingredients whether you want sweet, savory, simple, or complex! The vibe of this spot makes it feel just like home with the friendly fast service to the bright windows, old-school seating, and quaint energy. I absolutely love this spot and plan to come back to taste all their menu has to offer! It might take a while, but it'll definitely be worth it for a new and great experience each time. Plus, their bagels are huge so it's an excuse to share with friends or take home seconds for the next day! And either way sounds great when it's Kupel's great bagels!!

Super busy on a Saturday but service was efficient and attentive! Had a sesame onion bagel toasted with lox spread. They spread heavy but was delicious. TENDER BAGEL LIKE NO OTHER. Love the pastry case (unfortunately I had to restrain myself otherwise I would've bought one of everything)

I thought my sandwich from Kupel's was just ok. Certainly a step up from store-bought but I've had much better, even in the Boston area (Rebelle and Brick Street come to mind). I can't comment on ambiance or service since I ordered delivery. I got a pack of 6 bagels in various flavors, plus a bagel sandwich. The sandwich I ordered was The Arlington, with vegetable cream cheese, lettuce, cucumbers, and capers. I chose an egg everything bagel. Neither the bagel nor the filling tasted very fresh, and the bagel was only seasoned on one side, a pet peeve of mine. I will say the portions were generous and my sandwich was very filling. I haven't tried the other bagels I bought yet so maybe my opinion will change, so I'll update this review if that happens, but I don't have super high hopes... I will stick to my tried and true bagel places for now.

They are on the main drag of Harvard street with limited seating inside but plenty of outdoor seating. Parking is limited. Good luck finding a spot on the street. They have a variety of bagel with lox, fish and cream cheese. They have thought of every combination possible. They also have a selection of breads. I had an egg and cheese sandwich. Yum.... I would return. I have to test out their outdoor seating.

    the worst, underbaked rugelach ever

A friend recommended this spot for rugelach. Unfortunately the cinnamon rugelach I got was probably the worst I've ever had - it managed to be both dry on the outside and gummy and underbaked on the inside. It was also very expensive. I ended up throwing it out which I never do. A gluten free brownie looked promising but also ended up being nearly inedible. It had a weird chemical taste that burned my mouth. Apparently everything is parve which essentially means non-dairy. Maybe an OK spot if you're looking to keep kosher but flavor-wise a huge disappointment.

Kupel's is a classic in the Boston area. They have a great selection of bagels, baked goods and other cafe items. I've never had a bad thing there but my favorite thing is the Coconut Macarons. They're so moist and delicious without being overly sweet and they're ALWAYS as fresh as can be. Absolutely love this Brookline staple.

An affordable and delicious spot for bagel sandwiches! Kupels is a very casual grab-and-go bagel stand tucked away near cooldige corner. It was busy on a sunday morning, but it didn't take too long for the sandwiches to come out. I loved the boston theme for all the bagel names. I tried the Park street and the Coolidge Corner. Park street reminded me of sushi in a bagel (in the best way) The coolidge corner was also a classic with lox, red onions, and cream cheese - I also cannot remember the last time I bought a bagel with lox for $12. There were so many options for bagels that it was almost overwhelming! We tried the tomato basil and everything and both were great. I can't wait to go back and try the other options and sandwhich combos

It's so hard to find a GOOD bagel spot in MA. We were searching for a place that specializes in bagels and Kupel's Bakery popped up. Decided to drive over to Brookline and give them a try today. It did not disappoint! We got two different bagels: Coolidge Corner (smoked salmon with tomatoes, red onions, & chive cream cheese) and the Porter Square (egg whites, avocado, tomato, jalapeño, & garlic herb spread), both on an egg everything bagel. I really enjoyed the Coolidge Corner bagel... I love me some smoked salmon! ***NOTE: Bagels are very thick and one bagel is filling. Next time, will probably get one bagel to share*** Because the bagels are made very thick here (which I do like), they weren't toasted enough, maybe need an extra minute of toasting. Other than that, great place to get some bagels. Pretty extensive menu; Build your own bagel option, baked goods, coffees + beverages, & can buy the cream cheese spread to take home. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good bagel spot to try!

Was craving for bagels this day, it was just in the cards. We usually try to hit another spot but every time we go they already sold out. Kupel's has bagels for days, they are really thick and they are very filling, whether you build your own sandwich, eat it plain, slap some cream cheese, or filled with lettuce tomato avocado salmon etc. They have a pretty extensive bagel menu, espressos and coffee as well as take home ingredients and sweets if you want to make your own at home and buy a dozen. We opted for the Coolidge corner, has salmon tomatoes onion garlic herb spread! It was very tasty and fresh! They load you up with the salmon so honestly this one bagel could have been enough for the two of us. I got the porter square which was avocado, egg white, tomatoes and garlic herb spread fantastic. Now the ONLY thing i thought would have made the bagel better is, when you ask for toasted, perhaps have them run it thru their toaster conveyor two times. Ours weren't really toasted and it was eating bagel room temp and no crisp. Will definitely be back. Cost to portion felt worth it. The menu bagel sandwiches are about 8.99-12.99 but you definitely get full. You can get simple bagel and cream cheese for less. Diner style, counter seating and couple small tables. Nice staff and makes your sandwiches quick.

The Lechmere with no tomato and onions added. Amazing.

Doordashed a bagel from here to my hotel and loved it. A legit boiled then baked bagel with right amount of lox, cream cheese, etc. the garlic chive cream cheese was awesome. A+

Solid option for bagels, friendly service. Stopped here while in Brookline to get breakfast. There are sandwich options available or you can build your own bagel. I opted for a toasted everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. While the flavor of the bagel was great and it was overflowing with schmeer, it really wasn't toasted enough for my liking, which made the bagel was a bit chewy for my liking.

Without a doubt, the best bagels around. Don't worry, the lines are long, but move quickly, and the wait is worth it

This was on many of the Boston top bagels lists. Bagels are pretty dry imho. Staff were nice, like the local shop feel etc.

The croffle was incredible- very decadent- and the omelets were very generous with their portions and had toast and home fried potatoes! There's tables mostly for smaller groups, but they easily accommodated us and another large group. I ordered the fig prosciutto panini, which was admittedly smaller than what I was expecting but delicious for breakfast. Coffee saved me from my early morning flight too-- effective and tasty. I think my only knock was that I'd have hoped my particular dish was a bit more generous in portioning, but given a look at the other things my friends ordered, this looks like it's not necessarily the norm across dishes. Great quick bite-- parking is pretty easy on this street in the morning too, so I'd recommend!

The space is super vibrant, filled with bold colors, retro diner touches, and a bunch of quirky statement pieces that make you want to look around before you even check the menu. It feels playful and energetic without being overwhelming...definitely a place that stands out from your typical brunch spot. One of the most unique things about this place is the drink menu. I loved that you can order flights...not just for mimosas, but also spritzers/mixed drink and even coffee-inspired drinks. That's not something you see everywhere, and it made the whole experience feel a little more elevated and fun. Everything we tried was solid across the board. The drinks were well-made, balanced, and honestly just fun to try in a flight format. The menu itself keeps that same energy going with quirky, pop culture-inspired names that make ordering more entertaining than usual. But it's not just about the names, the food actually delivers. The chicken and waffles were a standout: crispy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the sweetness of the waffle. The traditional breakfast was done right too: simple, classic, and exactly what you'd want when you're craving something familiar. The real surprise for me was the crispy pimento potato bowl with chicken. It was packed and layered with flavor: comforting, a little indulgent, and definitely filling. You can tell they're intentional about how they build their dishes, not just throwing things together. Shoutout to our waitress as well...she really made the experience better. She gave great recommendations, helped us navigate the menu (which has a lot of options), and made sure we picked dishes we'd actually enjoy. That kind of service goes a long way, especially at a busy brunch spot.
