a view of a coffee shop

Really disappointed in the quality of service lately. This Pavement location has been my go-to for the past year or so after moving neighborhoods and I've never had an issue. They messed up my last two mobile orders within the past two weeks. Both times I asked for No Cheese for my bagel sandwich but they included anyways. Not a big deal the first time and they remade it right away, but the most recent time I asked for them to remake it, there was some sort of miscommunication. I waited about five minutes while watching the workers in the back through the window chatting it up and laughing. I checked in with the employee at the counter again and they were able to produce the sandwich a minute later while the chatter magically stopped.

Nice and cozy place, stopped by to grab breakfast for the first time. They have a great cold brew and cashier was nice enough to check if i could order the Jackson Creek sandwich, since online said they were out of stock. If I'm ever in the area again I'd love to try their other sandwiches :)

Toasted sesame bagel with garlic cream cheese and a coffee my way. Delicious Friday treat

Another good coffee and a sweet-thang with friends in the afternoon. Selection of bake goods was great this visit; when we come late they are down to just cookies later in the day. Delicious cooks mind you! They are always accommodating as staff; friendly, inquisitive, and adjusting to the customers speed. Coffee is always good and they will do their best to make it your way. Ambiance, hahahahah. A university urban coffee shop willed with nice patronage and some interesting characters. All wanderers aren't lost folks.

Bacon breakfast sando

Daughter is a fan of their mocha coffee something because it's smoother than others. We stopped in for breakfast so I had a bacon breakfast bagel, daughter a scone. Breakfast bagel was great. The bacon was tick and tasty, the egg big. I hate it when others give you a tiny piece of egg in a big bagel. Not much seating, only 3 stools, probably 'cause social distancing, and a window seat, so more of. A great 'n go then hangout. Definitely too small of WFCS (Work From Coffee Shop). Nice worker peeps. Prices a little on the high side. Still, I'd come back.

Now, that's just nasty.

Overpriced. Often wrong. But still better than Starbucks. This is the best coffee spot in the area. Quirky. Tasty. Usually playing cool music. It's less fancy than Tatte. Much hipper than Starbucks. But it's just not worth the price. Prices have gone up AGAIN. $1.50 for slice of cheese? $2.00 for an egg? $1.95 for an espresso shot? (A shot of expresso actually costs about 20 cents) Because they are the best in my neighborhood, I keep going back. But they get my order wrong almost half the time. Egg when I didn't ask for it. A missing baked good. Sometimes a pound of bacon, sometimes a tiny bit. It's Breakfast roulette. I would like to make this place a part of my daily routine, but I don't have the money or the patience. I like a hipstery spot as much as the next person, but come on. (See photo)

such a cute place! definitely expensive if you get coffee, bagel, and leave a tip but the awakening bagel was delish and their house drip coffee was great. cute place for a chill morning

Dope nook that's more suited to grab & go vs. stay & WFCS (that's work from coffee shop, peeps - get with it). Cold brew ($4M, $5L) is a more on the fruity, grassy side, which I'll take over burnt and bitter too-roasted trash. That said, the bean could stand a little more time in the heat. Housemade bagels ($1.75 each, +$2 for cream cheese) smell tremendous, are smaller in profile and more dense than what one might be used to. Seating is thoughtfully situated for a small space, and the wifi is stable - likely because it's not a perch space.

I have been wanting to try PopUp Bagels for years now, and I was so excited to see that they have a…read morelocation in Boston! Went on a Friday around 11:30am (FYI use Yelp to get address or Google Maps - Apple Maps took us somewhere else). Located in Seaport district with plenty of outdoor seating available. You do have to order a minimum of 3 bagels with a Schmear so just keep that in mind. We got the Poppy, Sesame, and Everything bagels with Scallion Schmear. Bagels were perfectly soft and the schmear was delicious! I wasn't sure how I would feel about the concept of ripping the bagels and dipping it into the cream cheese, but I actually ended up preferring it - less messy and more cream cheese per bite. Wish PopUp Bagels was in the Bay Area. I would definitely return!

PopUp Bagels is a bagel shop built around a simple concept: fresh, hot bagels served with different…read morespreads and schmears. The setup feels more like a quick grab-and-go experience rather than a traditional café, with a focus on getting the bagels out fresh and keeping the process efficient. The biggest thing that stands out is that the bagels are meant to be enjoyed right away while they are still warm. The bagels themselves are the main highlight. They have a crisp exterior with a soft and fluffy interior, creating a texture that feels different from many standard bagels. The salt and everything bagels were especially good because the toppings added flavor without overpowering the bagel itself. The fresh-baked texture is what makes them worth trying. The cream cheese and spreads also play a big part in the experience. The portions are generous, and the schmears add a lot of flavor to the warm bagels. The combination of the slightly crispy outside, chewy inside, and creamy spread makes the bagels feel more complete than just a simple breakfast item. The biggest thing to know before visiting is the ordering style. There is no traditional seating inside, and the minimum order means it works better if you are coming with a group or planning to get multiple bagels. It is less convenient for someone looking for a single quick breakfast, but the process itself is straightforward and moves fairly quickly even when there is a line. Overall, PopUp Bagels is a fun spot that focuses on doing one thing well. The fresh bagels, unique texture, and generous spreads make it stand out from typical bagel shops. It is best experienced when you have time to enjoy them fresh rather than treating it as a quick stop on the way somewhere.

Or the Exodus old window locations closed and the airstream camper location in alley is the new temporary place to order from. But I was tipped off by a bagel buying enthusiast when I was looking in the closed window location puzzled why I didn't see any people or bagels . The nice enthusiast told me that the pick up location is around the corner in a different new alley ... confused still but as Columbo the detective would do... I saw people walking from many directions to the new alley at 8:10 am. I followed the crowd to where others were already in the alley for the ordering process at the airstream trailer ... I was reminded of cousin Eddie in the Christmas movie with Chevy Chase and his camper trailer . The guy in the trailer looked like a horse bookie taking bets with his note pad and credit card machine... he may have been one of the owners after I researched later on website . I ordered a garlic Asiago bagel with butter and a salt bagel with veggie cream cheese. Then I was instructed to stand in alley and wait for my order . The bagel worker bees I then saw them come out of another building door with the bags of bagels and hand out to the experienced bagel buyers who intelligently order ahead . But the wait was quick and the worker bees scurry in and out of the door with the bags. There no tables or an area to eat in the alley . There was No inside coffee selections or Starbucks couches to lounge on eating your bagel sipping the latte to Italian music? I understand this is temporary as old space being renovated? I had my bagels both toasted and were perfect shade of toast . These were excellent different type bagels and not a brick dough filled type that becomes rock hard . The texture of bagel was more of a crunch chew in a good way. The garlic Asiago was a real deal flavor and thus would be excellent for a BLT or tuna or chicken salad for a sandwich , this would be winner chicken sandwich dinner . The salt bagel had a strong salt flavor again in a good way with the veggie cream cheese. The veggie cream cheese needed more veggies in it, but it did the trick to tame my bagel itch. Excellent bagels and the treasure hunt experience to find them was worth it. Clearly by the line of people and congregation of people from differ directions...they have a devoted following... reminded me of a Facebook announcement of a new iPhone release and people sleeping overnight to be first in line . Now, what is their secret of how or what they do to get the crunch texture but remain airy and not doughy? In summary: a great bagel and I need more .

Their menu is full of authentic bakery staples at reasonable prices. Also, the service is fantastic. Everyone is friendly and efficient despite the long line. I tried their pretzel croissant which was one of the best croissants I've had in a long time. The flakiness was impressive while it retained the strong taste of a traditional pretzel. I'm simply amazed. Also, their iced latte was pretty good! I got their seasonal Lavender Latte which was refreshing and strong. It didn't have that perfume-y aftertaste that often comes with floral flavors. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed and only wish I lived closer to be able to come more often.

The lines fortunately moved quickly and we were out of there in 20 min! The pastries are sooooo incredible you absolutely need to try. Our favorites were the Gruyère monkey pull apart bread (similar to the Gruyère croissant but a bit bigger) and we loved it so much we literally dug every piece out from the little cardboard bowl it comes in. A close second was their weekly special the Muhaamura feta croissant which was delectable-- I had never thought of putting Muhaamura in a croissant but damn does it work! It also went so well with the Gruyère it was truly a combo made in heaven. Both are also super light and won't make you feel super heavy after! We also got some sweet options including the chocolate chunk cookie and walnut morning bun which were super solid, but out of the sweet items the olive oil cake was our favorite. It is SUPER dense but truly the perfect dessert to have with tea in the afternoon-- I will definitely think about bringing this next time I'm visiting someone's house! It's not too sweet but flavored so well. Overall this place is soooo worth the wait--- definitely check it out!

The blueberry bagel I had that day was absolutely superb, probably the best blueberry bagel I've ever had in Boston. A few days later, I craved that same blueberry bagel and made the trip back, which is a considerable drive for me. Upon arrival, I was told that blueberry bagels are not offered every day and are only available on Thursdays. I returned the following Thursday, but the experience was very different. I got blueberry, poppy, and a few other bagels to take home. Unfortunately, all of them were absolutely disappointing. They tasted extremely off and very different from the blueberry bagel I had previously. At home, my family ate about half of what we purchased, but none of us had any desire to finish the rest. Overall, the experience was unpleasant, and the bagels were not enjoyable at all. The blueberry bagel from my first visit looked and tasted amazing and was completely different in quality from what I received on my second visit. On top of that, the person behind the counter seemed careless with hygiene, touching the screen, bagels, and other surfaces without any apparent attention to cleanliness. It felt like a completely different place compared to my first visit just a couple of weeks earlier. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed.
