Such a trendy & cute cafe! I stopped by on a weekday so while the main shop area is consistently packed, they have a "studio" dining area in the back for you to work from which is really considerate. Also even though it was first thing in the morning, all their staff were so pleasant. Their Bagelicious bagel sandwich was BAGELICIOUS indeed! They loaded it with tons of savory goodness. The broccoli, egg whites & sauce tasted amazing together encased within a fluffy everything bagel. Also if you have a sweet tooth, their Carrot Bread (or cake? up to you lol) is simply delicious too. This might be my new favorite cafe in Somerville! We came here around 11am on a Saturday and it was bustling but without too long of a line. Our food came out quickly, the portions were perfect, and both items we got were delicious. The leonardo de kimchi was a perfect combination of flavorful kimchi and runny soft-boiled egg on spinach and quinoa. The yogurt parfait was a thick greek yogurt with delicious berry jam and granola. Revival was a really cute spot for a coffee and a quick bite to eat. While it's small on the inside (not a lot of seating), when it is warm out there is some really great outdoor seating. The drinks were really good! I had a black iced tea which was super tolerable. Their coffee selection is great too. The food was where revival really shone- we had the Leonardo da kimchi, which was solid. The kimchi was delicious and the egg was cooked perfectly. The eggplant sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've eaten in a long time. There was a ton of flavor from the eggplant to the roasted pepper sauce to the pickles. I cannot wait until I get to go back and have this incredible sandwich. For me, it's a must get!! One of the best sandwiches in the Boston area, which really surprised me. The blueberry pancake scone was also delicious- it was fluffy, not dry, and had a really great blueberry icing. Couldn't recommend this place more highly! read more

Overall pretty good! Got there early right after they opened to do some remote work. I got the matcha latte with oat milk and it was decent. I also got the plain Jane and it was just ok-the bread was slightly too greasy. I'd be interested in trying some of the other breakfast sandwiches with more stuffings/sauces. I spent a super long time there and also ended up getting lunch too which was the Caesar wrap. It was actually super delicious!! I recommend that one. The only downside was I had to keep connecting the wifi every 45 minutes since they are limiting the length of time people are on the internet due to summer demands. Servers were super nice!! This cafe is very cute just off Davis square. For a warm day it has an awesome patio with a window into the cafe so you can pick up your food and drinks. The service was friendly and relatively fast for a Saturday morning. The coffee cafe was very good, but the latte left me wanting more. As a recent-ish transplant from the south, was thrilled to finally find a spot here that serves a biscuit!! The salt n peppa sando is DELISH!! The staff was friendly and helpful. I had trouble making up my mind and they gave me their recommendations. I noticed a several people come in (who I assume are regulars) seemed to have a rapport with the staff including a dog! The food was ok, I had the salt n pepper Sando. The biscuit was soft and fluffy. It was better with the addition of salt and pepper. It was a bit greasy and it was hard to keep it together toward the end. The coffee was really good and they had options for the drip coffee. The inside is clean but the dining area is small. Just a few tables and when I went at noon it was right in the Sun. Overall (4.5/5): what this place lacks in available seating (only 5 ish tables) it makes up for in coffee quality and unique pastry options. I admit I'm not a huge coffee connoisseur, but the rose cardamom latte hits the floral notes and masked the bitterness of the coffee. The red crema reminds me of a chai latte as it's a South African herbal tea with notes similar to that of cinnamon. I saw a variety of interesting pastry concepts such as a tahini cupcake(?) but the cheesy gochujang scone was exactly that. Warm fuzzy cheesy crumbly goodness. Revival selling expired food and I also experienced deplorable and unacceptable customer service from Jaime (or Jamie) at Davis location. The food came unfresh and expired. No one cared to check the overnight oats and the entire batch was expired and sold at all Revival locations. These were only pulled when I called to ask why the overnight oats tasted so sour, tart, carbonated, and rotten. I initially spoke to a wonderful person named Cameron, who was incredibly kind, apologetic, and genuine. He even said he and others tasted the overnight oats to confirm they were in fact expired. Cameron was the total opposite of Jaime, who made it sound like the customer's problem. When I asked Jaime for a replacement or a gift card for this experience directly from the store, as a show of accountability and customer loyalty, Jaime basically said absolutely not. She sounded extremely resistant to to make anything right and when I told her I will be posting a review about this and contacting the health board, she sarcastically said "PLEASE do!" So, that's what I'm doing. I'm hopeful that every employee will learn from Cameron, who I hope becomes a manager. The way he listened and responded to the situation was extremely professional and did not exacerbate the problem, like Jaime chose to do. And it's really about principle. If Jaime had offered, say a $5 gift card, or said "the next one's on us" or something to that effect, or even attempted an apology, then I would have not have felt inclined to post this review and to get the health board involved. But again, she urged me to post this review and to escalate the situation with the health board. Please use caution when dealing with Jaime, if she is still at Revival. But hopefully you come across other professional and much more qualified staff members, especially Cameron, who was such a sweetheart. Learn from him. Here's my review on the Food, Service, and Ambience: Food: I ordered the Bagelicious (egg white, broccoli situation, cheddar, and spicy aioli on a housemade bagel). If you're looking for something filling on their menu, I'd recommend this! The bagel was more on the dense side, however it complimented well with all the fillings, and it came packaged warm too which made it especially good on a cold day. They have so many other foods on their menu, so I'll have to try more next time! I also got a chai latte with a scoop of matcha for the additional caffeine. It was alright- just a normal chai latte. Service: The cashier I had seemed friendly, I have no complaints. Ambience: Very cute cafe, home-y and modern looking! Stopped by Revival for a dessert after eating at Dakzen next door. Was going to order the Banana Nut Bread but they didn't have any (12:30pm was the time of ordering). The cashier recommended the Blackberry Cream Cheese bread given how tasty it is and because it was seasonal and would not be offered much longer. I accepted their recommendation and ordered the Blackberry Cream Cheese Bread. The bread doesn't have any cream cheese topping on it but rather includes the cream cheese in the bread itself which makes it very moist. It was very delicious. Great vibe, better breakfast! I'm pretty sure this is a sister restaurant to Bloc in Union Square. They brew George Howell coffee which i loveeeee. The staff is so friendly and passionate! I ordered the Salt n Peppa sandwich with added avocado. It was $14 and took about 6 minutes to be ready. It was absolutely delicious. The bread it's on is almost like a corn bread texture and I am obsessed. It started to fall apart halfway through which is a shame but it was worth the mess. Supple egg soufflé type square w girthy bacon and some cheeses, but the star is the bread/biscuit it's served on. Im not going to overly describe it, but it's moist with just the right amount of crumble and the buttery richness we all need. I don't know about the rest of their offerings but this is worth the trip. I'm one of those people that only writes reviews when it's either the worst thing or the best thing, and this is solidly in the BEST zone. As always, food and drink here are amazing. The focus of this is on Revival as a working space, as I needed to work here for the day (a tuesday in early September) before an appointment nearby. WIFI sign in screen says they have a 45 minute cap "for the winter season." Totally respect them wanting to make sure people have a place to sit indoors as it gets colder. The back area (separate building) is quiet and nice for working with no guest wifi connection. For those who need to find a place to work, I would encourage you to test out the guest wifi before purchasing items in case you need to move (and miss out on the delicious Revival food and drink.) In part because on top of the above, the guest wifi actually doesn't work today. Another plus right now is they keep their windows and door open, feels great for covid safety. read more

I tried this place for the first time a bit ago and I rlly liked it! I had the Jimmy pesto sandwich, a ginger vegan cookie, and a double espresso over ice. The sandwich was very good, the only thing I didn't like as much was that the egg was kind of in a block, I like a fresh over-medium fried egg (imo). The cookie was SURREAL. I've come back for this cookie so many times now. And the coffee was so good as well, I enjoy ordering espressos and adding a splash of oatmilk. First I must shoutout the amazing staff. Everyone was so friendly and kind. It was such a pleasant start to my day. I ordered a plain jane (egg, monterey jack cheese, revival muffin) and a Golden Crema (double shot with honey and cinnamon). I told everyone I saw that day about my breakfast sandwich. I have never had eggs that fluffy and creamy before. There was so much flavor packed into such a simple sandwich. Bonus point for it being structurally stable. Still scratching my head about how I overlooked this gorgeous establishment! Revival Cafe has such a Abbey Kinney/NYC vibe. The inside decor is clean and inviting. The long windows are opened during sunny days which brings in so much light and happiness. I ordered: 1.) Jimmy Pesto Sandwich (5 stars) 2.) Vegan Maple Donut (5 stars) Both breakfast sandwich and cookie were delicious. The english muffins the breakfast sandwich is served on is warm, soft and yet crunchy. I've had Revival many times and service has always been very good. Their hot chocolate is delicious and their lattes pretty decent. I've also had a few different baked goods from them that have been delicious. Unfortunately, the few times I've had sandwiches from them, I've always felt underwhelmed. The ones I've had seem to always be a little dry and the bread a little too spongy. Today I had the Crema Roast Turkey sandwich and it didn't have much of the ancho aioli so it was fairly dry and the marbled rye they use was dense and spongy so it made for a sandwich that was more of a chore to eat. I also got the homemade sweet potato chips as a side and they were pretty stale. I'll continue to go back to Revival for the beverages and baked goods, but for sandwiches in Davis, you're better off trying Diesel Cafe or walking a little further to Dave's Fresh. read more

We kept it pretty simple and ordered two lattes and a chocolate chip cookie. Latte was pretty good and I appreciated the presentation. It came in a beautiful, large cup.
