Lauren's star rating: 3.8. The vibe felt right to me, though it's not somewhere you go to sit or do work. It's a small shop with no restroom, and just a couple bar seats at the window. They market their coffee as organic, but it wasn't anything spectacular flavor-wise. I enjoyed it well enough, but not the best coffee in Boston. It lacked the smoothness I usually gravitate towards. They have a ton of options for food (sandwich, smoothies, pastries, other misc breakfast food etc), and it seems like everything was pretty customizable. I enjoyed the lemon danish, just lemony enough, though the texture felt a little too dense and a bit soggy (though I am not a danish expert, so maybe this is normal?). In terms of prices though, this seems like the place to be! Everything felt really reasonable, and they had an egg and cheese croissant special for only a few bucks! I got a large black coffee, espresso, and a danish for 9.99 exactly, which feels like a Boston steal to me! The service speed was no well-oiled machine, but it fit the charm of this little cafe. There were only two people working, and there isn't a ton of room for all the things to be happening. This didn't bother me, but something to think about if you are in a rush. One weird thing, when I checked in on Yelp, a pop up for 2$ off came up, but when I presented it to the woman working, she said they don't do that. So beware of that! Overall, I can see myself stopping back by, especially when I'm in the area.

The pastries from this place are their best feature! I ordered one of their winter themed lattes and it was good but nothing super special about the beans they used. Still, I liked our breakfast and the many different flavors they offer.

Incredible everything. The food was delicious & so affordable which among other things makes this a gem I come back to. A very diverse selection of food options also for a cafe so small. Loved linguica breakfast sandwich on Portuguese roll. The service was perfect as a young woman of color I felt so safe & really appreciative of the employees. Music was fun vibes were good I'm so happy to continue to support this Somerville business! Keep it up ola we love you!

Small, quick local cafe with nice staff and great food. Variety of breakfast foods to choose from and tons of coffee flavors. Support Local!

I can absolutely see myself coming back here! The person working was patient with how long it took me to decide. If you haven't been here before you'll appreciate this patience-the menu is long, and everything looks/is delicious!! I found myself caught between everything there was to offer. There are some unique flavors for coffee if that's your jam (I tried the french toast flavor and was delighted!) and was delighted to find that the coffee is fair trade. Stop by if you're ever in Somerville!

A small breakfast joint packed with character. A must-see in East Somerville. The owner is super nice and makes the place very welcoming. I did a review on their bagels, as seen below, but feel like their breakfast sandwiches, crepes, and/or pancakes would be the way to go. https://youtu.be/l_yITzq4AVc

Medium Iced Coffee with Banana Syrup :) Lovely sitting area in front of the cafe.

I cannot recommend Ola Cafe enough!! The baristas and employees are the sweetest and they are so welcoming every time :) The food is amazing and coffee is customized to your liking. Great selection of food as well. I'm a loyal customer of Ola Cafe for sure!

The organic Americano is very watered down for a $5 dollar coffee.... but the chocolate brioche was pretty good.....

If you like a classic egg McMuffin, this is that but 10x better - Sam-I-Am, (4/5): after we tried the other to-go orders... we decided to try more. this tasted so good fresh, and the garlicky greens were a bit wet, but added a nice punchier flavor I would 100% come back here again, and I left with 2 types of English muffins (original and jalapeño corn) and they were GREAT. A simple cream cheese or salted butter spread, toasted is great. The texture is what sets it apart from other English muffins. I wish they lasted longer in the pantry. The shelf life is around 4-5 days, but then the solution would be to just have a constant shipment of them. Problem solved ;^)

The place was extremely busy yet well organized as they were pushing orders out efficiently and in a timely manner without sacrificing the quality of the product. I ordered the iced maple latte and the G.O.A.T. with the addition of bacon on their classic English muffin. The latte was very good. The breakfast sandwich was also delicious. The egg was cooked a little bit more than I would've liked, but the bacon was cooked perfectly, the goat cheese butter added richness, the pesto was fresh and their house made English muffins are excellent. It's obvious that they use great quality ingredients for everything they make. It's also not crazy expensive which is also a plus. It's a little bit out of the way for me, but if I'm ever around Union Square again I'll make a point to return!

These cannolis are enormous, practically a pound each. They're definitely on the pricey side, but you get a huge cannoli, and honestly, one is more than enough to fill you up. Even two people could easily share one. We also tried the Oreo cheesecake and one of their cakes. Both were good, but I personally enjoyed the cannoli much more than the cake. Next time, I think I'll skip the other desserts and stick with the cannoli. That's definitely what I'd come back for!

This one didn't have a long line that I knew their North End location would certainly be marked by. On our first visit, we tried a plain cannoli to have a baseline of what to expect. We also tried a pistachio macaron. On the second visit, we tried a red velvet whoopie pie and a pistachio cannoli. The cannoli's are fire. The shell is thick, crispy and they hold up. They're stuffed with sweet creamy ricotta. It's a perfect pairing of soft cream and a hard shell. This location had a few bar seats available at the window and against the wall. There's a huge window of sweet treats on display. I definitely recommend visiting, try a cannoli and get something to go. They have everything from lobster tails to Boston cream pie. I think it would take someone with a lot of will power to come here and walk out without getting something.
