After a long day at the hospital, it would have been nice not to be met with some kindness at the pharmacy when I was picking up my wife's med. Instead I was met with unpleasant cvs staff. Everyone that worked on Friday, Oct 4th at 10pm needs a refresher on customer service. People generally don't want to go to the pharmacy, they have to. I came to store in need of an item. I inquired about Christmas gift sets and the manager said you mean Valentine gift sets. I was taken back because I had been to CVS and known that they were Christmas gift sets. The manager this grin and sarcasm that seemed really nasty. I think CVS is headed back to its old ways before it wasn't doing so well. I probably will not come back to this store. At most CVS I feel like the store is a partner in your shopping experience. I felt greed and disappointment here. The grin from both the assistant and manager was so greedy as if it yea we know we selling Christmas items as valentines items, so what. I think if CVS has managers who are this sales driven then it may potentially struggle. Typically CVS seems very interested in the customer and making the experience enjoyable but these guys took pleasure in selling old items as current while other stores discounted them. read more

Scheduled an immunization appointment and was told (from across the room) they couldn't help me and shouted out the phone number for the pharmacy off Fletcher Pkwy by an extremely rude and unprofessional woman. Also, I am not sure what they have done to deserve being put on probation, but hey according to the sign posted they are through October of 2017. Maybe this happened for a reason. Don't be fooled when you need a COVID test. So if your symptomatic don't waste your time, go to the urgent care. The government has them advertised as a place to "get a test". Supposedly needing to help relieve busy establishments that take care of more than just COVID patients. This place is only for those who plan a week + for a COVID test, ie you are flying out of town in a week and need a test. There are two nurses, they take up 6 parking spots, not including their tiny mobile unit, iN FRONT of the store. A swab takes 3 seconds. A lot of people park there cause no one even knows if they are open. How about a relocation to the back of the parking area or an actual line of people who REALLY need the test. I sat in that parking lot for a while and no one was swabbed. There was a "do not approach me" santee big truck parked (probably had an American flag inside it) in one of their stalls who wasn't approached and just walked to wherever they needed to go. This is their way of helping with COVID, while the real medical staff are busy doing real COVID care. What a joke! read more

The pharmacy techs that are at the pick up counter are absolutely rude as hell. I went to pick up for my kids and felt with a a Tech named Marina or something of that sort. The moment I walked up to her she had this attitude just asking for the patients name. Couldn't spell my son's name and had to ask me several times. Then she came with my son's prescriptions and threw them on the counter and told me to sign which I did. She told me I needed to have a consult for one of the medications. I then asked her if one of my son's prescriptions are due for a refill and she said she couldn't look that up that I needed to go to the drop off window. Then I asked her if I was done and said in a snarky tone that I needed to select worthier or not I needed a receipt. I told her that the machine didn't ask me that and she let saying "yes it's asking you I see it on my end" I told her no it's not and told her to look at my screen. At that point I was so fed up with her and her disgusting attitude I just moved on to the pharmacist. Definitely need to clean house she is bad for business and if that lady is reading this. Get a job you enjoy instead of taking your bitterness on everyone else. read more

It's been a long, long time since I've written a review considering I'm a mom now and my tiny human takes up a lot of my free time. But, today's experience warranted an emailed complaint to corporate. Here's a copy of that email (since the commander has woken from her nap and is demanding my attention): My doctor mistakeningly sent a prescription to CVS #9145 after being seen at urgent care this morning. I've been here before and had a terrible experience, which is why I didn't want to go back. I walk in and the line for pick up is extremely long. I wait, get to the front and offer up my updated insurance card to the cashier, Michael, who was actually quite pleasant. He directed me down to Tanya at the drop-off window, who didn't even acknowledge me for several minutes, to handle the rebill. She was incredibly short with me and rude when speaking to me. I then had to get BACK in line at the register and wait again for my prescription, all while in excruciating pain. As a previous CVS Pharmacy Technician, I understand there are policies put in place to make things run more smoothly and that being behind that counter can be fast paced and high stress. That absolutely does not condone Tanya's sour faced, poor attitude. If she'd just used a different tone with me, I wouldn't be writing the email right now. She was snarky, mumbled and then raised her voice at me when I couldn't hear her because she was mumbling. I asked to speak to the pharmacy manager, Karen, about her employee and she just stared at me blankly. This is the most inefficient, unfriendly pharmacy I've ever encountered. I've chosen to go to a different CVS in the past because I know how this particular location runs. Not anymore. CVS has permanently lost me as a customer. Some of us not so young anymore gals need to have access to a restroom. If you must walk to the front of the store to ask someone to open the bathroom and they have to call someone else to go to the back of the store to let you in and you have to wait a really long time for someone to show up, well just forget it. This store has done every thing to be a good shopping experience in Santee. The trash cans and surrounding area are emptied/cleaned several times a day,new clean bathrooms and a staff that knows it's way around the entire store! Wow I'm really surprised to see all the negative reviews of this pharmacy. This has been my pharmacy for the past five years and I have had nothing but great service, if anything they have gone above and beyond to make sure i received what I needed. I'm fortunate myself and family are in great health so I don't have to use the pharmacy on a monthly bases. Between the four of us I probably go six times a year if that. My last experience proves what I mean about going above and beyond to a sure I get the medicine that I need. My eighteen months old woke up with pink eye. I took her to her doctor her medicine was called into this location. Came home couldn't find her health insurance card. She was able to see the doctor bescause her card was on file but how was I going to get her medicine . I called the insurance provider for a copy of the card and it was a nightmare they wouldn't fax me one but would fax the cvs pharmacy.I called and got the fax number and explained the situation to them . They said they would call me as soon as the fax came in and the medicine was ready to be picked up. I received a phone call tweenty minutes later saying her medicine was ready to be picked up. Standing in the long line I was thinking of what I was going to say how was I going to explain I don't have my health insurance card but it was fax in can you look for it. I was already preparing myself for a hard time getting the medicine. The guy at the register already had everything ready for me had a copy of my health insurance card told me a $15.00 co pay and that was it. I just wanted to say thank you for always being a great experience. I hope some from the cvs pharmacy reads this review. You guys are doing a great job. read more

Supply and demand too much for them to handle- always soooo disorganized you call on any given day and always get a different answer in regards to your prescriptions! That's how long I waited before hanging up. I have stock in this damn company. I want to write a nice review, but can't. When in the physical pharmacy line, people often laugh when they hear the overhead announcement, "there are calls holding for the pharmacy". Good luck. I want to like this place, it is so conveniently located. The fact is, they are always under staffed. There is always an issue with my script, but they never call to say that before you arrive. I called today to make sure it was there before I arrived and they said it was, but when I arrived I was told I had to go to "Drop Off" to have them order it again. It is mind boggling. They seem very unsympathetic towards inconveniencing people. The three people behind me also had issues that I overheard while I was waiting. I have been using this pharmacy since CVS purchased it from Sav-on. I've had excellent service throughout the years. Yes, during peak hours and on Mondays, the wait may be lengthy. They offer text messages which makes refilling prescriptions very convenient. I spent a year with Costco Pharmacy and that experience was horrendous; wait times, closed for lunch, early close times, etc. I went back to CVS. read more

This pharmacy used to be okay. They last two times I've been in they have been out of my perscription. Prior to that I had to wait a very long time with a sick child because the claimed they didn't receive the perscriptions my son's doctor sent over. The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because they don't mess up my orders and they seem to get them done fast. On the other hand with so many people on their pharmacy staff they take what seems like forever to help anyone. After they are done with their customer I've had a girl do this to me more then twice. She would look at me then walk away from her post pretend tone busy filing some prescriptions then one minute later come back as the line grew and ask if she could help me. Also whenever I call I'm on hold for at least 5 to 10 minutes which again seems impossible since there are always so many people working there and whenever I go in they are never slammed with calls or customers. I used to live in North Park and that CVS was always busy, but someone was always helping someone. In my opinion the CVS in Santee lacks customer service skills and is a bit lazy. Customer service is part of your business so they need to get on track. As far as the rest of the store I have no issues and everyone else is helpful when I ask questions. read more

HORRIBLE experience with this pharmacy, particularly with the pharmacist "Phuong-Uyen H Tran". She was extremely rude and had no customer service skills whatsoever. I don't know what was up with her attitude, but she was very unprofessional. She did not even mention the fact that she was done with my prescription drop off and left me standing there only to say "ok go sit over there if you want to wait" in a very arrogant tone. Absolutely the worst pharmacy in the east county. They are on probation for something (Not visible on notice behind counter)and because of it have put stupid regulations in place that are NOT customer friendly. My insurance company informed me that the medication can be refilled every 20 days or 75% of medication quantity. This CVS refuses to comply. The ONLY redeming quality of this pharmacy is a employee named "ROBERT". As of today I'm tired of all the hoops I have to jump thru just to get an RX filled at this place. Probably 50% of the time I come here they cannot find my prescription for pickup because it has been placed in the wrong bin. The line is always long, the pharmacy techs are slow, and the pharmacists themselves always seem elusive. I don't know why they are on probation but they need better management and organization regardless. I asked them multiple times to stop calling me for prescription notifications and it took them probably four times to officially take me out of the system. I have been coming to this CVS pharmacy for a long time. I am not sure why I haven't switched to a different pharmacy, but I am doing so now. The staff members are friendly and courteous, but the service is absolutely atrocious. This is now the third time I have come in to pick up a prescription and found out they are out of the medication. When I asked why I didn't receive a phone call to inform me they were out, I was told "somebody should have called you". I also just found out, that they only receive their medication supplies after 5:00 pm. So if you call in a prescription after this time and they are out of you medication, you have to wait until 5:00 pm the next day. There is always a line to pick up your prescription, they are always under staffed and they are slow to fill your prescription. Save yourself time and frustration and go to a different CVS. read more

First off let's just give a big shout out to people who make meth. Because of them I have to stand in a pharmacy line to get some nasal decongestant. Next, the people who work here are zombies. I grabbed a placard for a 20 pack of decongestant and had to wait in line. The manager came by and said hello. Just hello. Not, oh hey let me see if we have that in stock. That's fine. Maybe he's not allowed to go back there cuz it's pharmacy stuff. Well when I get up there the zombie working in the pharmacy took my placard and grabbed the 40 pack (double the freaking price of course) and said that's all they had and started ringing it up like I was gonna buy it. Not, let me see what else there is in a different brand etc. Just "we're out of that one you grabbed" and when I asked "seriously?" his response...I s*** you not was "it is what it is." No guy. It isn't. I'm sick right now. I need some decongestant for now. Not a 40 pack to start handing out at the local hospital. He didn't offer to find anything else. It's just "what it is." So I declined and left the store and went straight to Walgreens. Still had to go the pharmacy but at least she walked me through which brands and pack sizes she had. Super helpful. And cheaper. I urge everyone to not go here and go to Walgreens on mission gorge. read more

It's convenient, but that's all I can say. The store is dirty and compared to the other CVS stores it just seems like the reject for everything store. I used the pharmacy once and the techs were less than satisfactory in their knowledge, but that was a few years ago. Wow, what a horrible experience! For 1, the place looks/feels ghetto! 2, they had no AC on so the place was hot & muggy inside. 3, the drop off counter lady called me up, then was on the phone with someone else for over 10mins all while I was standing there....rude! I was there for almost an hour trying to figure out/find these medicines my Dr. advised me to get.....4, NO ONE at the pharmacy counter knew what the heck they were talking about! Even after showing them my OTC medications on my phone from my Dr.! 5, I was misdirected 3x's! Went back-and-forth to the pharmacy counter 4 times! All while having a cranky 3yo in tow. I had enough by this time so I stood at the consultation window till the pharmacist came to help me out. At least SHE knew what I was looking for. She came out n took me straight over to what I needed. She said the rest of them "are not pharmacists" which is y they didn't know anything....Thanks to the pharmacist's help (& only reason why I gave them 2 stars instead of 1!), I was FINALLY able to get outta there hot, sweaty, & irritated.
