Ran in real quick to pick up some medicine for my girlfriend, walking in I was definitely greeted when I got to the back where the pharmacy was I saw things moving fast, people getting medicine were in and out and my experience was the same. Gave the name a got the medicine it even a minute later. Employees working the pharmacy were all in good spirits and seemed happy to be there. The store its self was clean and very organized. Plenty of parking outside. On my way out I was also told to have a nice day. These things matter for some people. It doesn't take much to lift up someone's day! read more

Here we are in 2026, and Black customers are still being followed around stores simply for existing in their skin. During my recent visit, the security guard followed us throughout the entire store so blatantly and relentlessly that I finally asked, "What exactly is making you follow me, my skin?" The entire experience was humiliating, infuriating, and absolutely disgusting. What made it even more disturbing was being racially profiled by another person of color. There is no excuse for treating paying customers like criminals without cause. I left feeling disrespected, targeted, and deeply disappointed. Terrible Pharmacist with no common sense. I came in with a three day old grease burn that occupied about 50% of my forearm on my dominant hand. Predictability, the burnt skin was peeling off and extremely painful. I come in, ask to speak with the pharmacist (young woman with brown hair and glasses, maybe 5'4) and ask her for help. I specifically asked if they had Kerlix, a non-stick gauze that would not rip off my skin. I honestly I don't believe this gal even knew was Kerlix was to be frank, but she then proceeded to offer me the biggest ADHESIVE bandage they had. I was honestly shocked that she couldn't understand why that would absolutely exacerbate the issue, not only was the bandage too small to even cover my wound (despite being the biggest one they had) BUT IT WAS ADHESIVE AND WOULD ABSOLUTELY RIP OFF ALL MY REMAINING SKIN. She then suggested I try aloe vera for my actively weeping open burn wound, putting aside the fact that we are far beyond that at this stage, what a one way ticket to infection town. She also asserted that the skin was peeling off because I applied an ice pack to the wound. This ice pack was double wrapped in cloth. Even putting aside the fact that ice will indeed damage a burn IF ICE IS APPLIED DIRECTLY TO THE SKIN, the skin was not peeling off due to ice but rather because it is a SEVERE SECOND DEGREE BURN WHICH ARE NOTABLY CHARACTERIZED BY PEELING SKIN AND BLISTERS. This blonde lady who works there was very rude today while I was trying to get photos for an event the next day. I ended up having to order my photos to a different cvs because their printer was down. I got an automated message saying it was ready for pickup and apparently somebody was supposed to contact me saying they couldn't fill the order. She was very snarky about the printers being down. read more

I came here for years to get prescriptions filled and they allow the pharmacist to refuse to fill one because she disagreed with the doctor's treatment. If CVS pharmacists think they know more than an MD perhaps they should have obtained the same training and education, otherwise they can fuck right off. This company has very questionable policies and I'd rather eat glass than step foot in any location again. There are much better options for a pharmacy. I came here because the location is convenient, but the service at the Costco pharmacy is a thousand times better and they don't make you wait forever in line or lose your prescription etc.. read more

RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!!!! This used to be my pick-up pharmacy due to the convenience of it being next to a post office. I would come get my prescriptions when I had to deliver a package or do something next door. The wait is always ridiculous. The people at the pickup counter will call other folks and let them cut long lines. Why don't they have to wait in lines? It is highly unorganized. At first I thought this was a pandemic issue, but it persisted well beyond the pandemic. I switched to the location on Fletcher and it is night and day! What a difference! JUST W O W!!!! During a time in my life where I've seen customer service become nonexistent and attitude abounds... It's nice to see that there is amazing consistency at this pharmacy. I've been coming for years, and I can tell you without a doubt, the best service, especially from Helen! Her attitude, no matter who she got before me, and I have seen reprehensible and rude, entitled customers... She keeps her cool, somehow she still gives a smile and thanks them...Not only is she professional but she lets you know if you have options, does not rush you and it's always nothing but kind. I wish I had my own company and I would steal her. The team there is headed by an amazing manager, you will not mind the wait with the service you receive from this pharmacy. Unfortunately, I have been to other CVS pharmacies such as the one in Casa de Oro where I was ignored, spoken down too and given attitude by 3 associates... needless to say I highly recommend CVS at Grossmont Center #09169 you won't be sorry! read more

They're definitely working on their customer service; someone was right there ready to check me out. I appreciated the offer but I only had a few items. When i realized one of my items wasn't on sale, she was standing by and qickly removed it from my self check-out list. This is the only location in the area with a ton of disabled parking spots right in front of the building. I really appreciate those being available. On the whole, my interactions at this specific CVS have all been positive. I hope the trend continues for other customers. read more

I need to deduct one star for the pharmacy, they are awful. But, this review isn't about the pharmacy anyway. It's about one experience I had, during the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. I was frantically trying to find distilled water for my cpap machine. All the knuckleheads hoarded every bit of it. This store had some stowed in the back, and a sweet young man brought me back to sell it to me. I was so stressed (like we all were) and very touched that he made an extra effort like that. I forgot for a second where we were and gave him a huge hug, and just wept. It's funny, the things we think about sometimes, isn't it? I wish I could remember his name. This pharmacy just gets worse all the time. It was always bad but now it's unbelievable. You can't even speak to a pharmacist, you must leave a voice mail and sometimes they return the call and sometimes they just don't. I get a prescription filled every 28 days and can only pick up one day early per CVS rules. I called yesterday to confirm they had it in stock. This morning I called at 9am, left a message to lmk when to pick up. No one called. I called again at 11:30am. Miraculously got someone on the phone. She said it's too early to pick up. I said no it isn't, it's day 27. Then she said it won't be ready until 1pm. Right after that I got a text that they'd received the new prescription from my doctor, when it was sent in last week dated for today. So they never even entered it into the system even after I called yesterday and this morning. I went home, came back to the counter at 12:55pm. She said it's not ready yet. I said they told me 1pm. She said it's not 1pm yet. She then said it will be another 20-30 minutes. When I complained they told me 1pm, she said, "Well we are busy." Oh really? Like I have nothing else to do but drive over here every couple hours to see if you've bothered to fill my prescription yet. It's hard to find a pharmacy that's open on the weekends but I'm going to look right now. read more

I had a very bad experience at this location . The lady with long hair and glasses with eastern European accent push me many times to enroll to carepass membership . I kept telling her I am not interested but she kept pushing me at one time she was holding my credit card. I noticed few days later that my card was charged for the membership that I refused to purchase , I reported to my bank and I noticed the second charge . Finally I had to cancel my card and I am waiting for a new credit card. I never authorize CVS to withdraw my account without my authorization. Please be aware of this tactic by this employee. Everytime since we were switched from Rite Aid that closed. I have had nothing but trouble talking to a real person, you get stuck in the automated system and get nowhere. When we go in to pick up anything it takes forever. When I have talked to a pharmacy tech, she was cold with no customer service warmth. I think the clerk DESTINY is a treasure! She is always pleasant and efficient and ready to help, though she seems to have many duties in many areas. I mentioned that certain unusual eyedrops were out -- and she not only knew of them but of their other location in the store. She rang me up and felt sure that their price was wrong/too high. She was right and the manager confirmed it. That sure left me with a good impression of DESTINY and of this store. I went to pick up my medication at this CVS Pharmacy. I would like to make a comment about this person, whose last name is Patel. I don't know if he was the Pharmacist or what not, but he was soooo rude when I went and picked up my medication. He scolded me about not picking my meds on time. And he rudely told me that I have to wait 30 mins because the medication was put back on the shelf. I am a nurse, sometimes I don't have enough time to pick up my medications, because I am busy taking care of others. Does he have to be rude just because I missed picking it up? Why isn't zero stars an option? I have stuck with CVS through many locations and many years, but after my interaction with Sabrina tonight, I won't ever be back. I went pick up a prescription at 745p and they close at 8 (though google says they're open until 10p). There were about 5 people ahead of me in line, all were politely helped and none were rushed. I was picking up a medication for pre-op for a procedure the next morning (I had been traveling for work for a few weeks prior and hadn't been able to pickup the medication further in advance). I get to the front give her my info and she says she has no record of my prescription and nothing active. I explain it's for a procedure in 12 hours. I pull up my patient portal to confirm the prescription has been sent to the right place. As I'm explaining to her she asks I "step to the side so she can help other people" since they are closing soon. I just watched her serve four people ahead of me with questions and purchases without any urgency and now I need to move, instead of you assisting me in troubleshooting the issue. I step to the side, she helps the next gentleman in line and I come back to her and ask if she had looked if it had been sent to another location. She says "I looked. You'll just have to call your doctor to figure it out, we are closed now." No concern, no compassion no humanity. But guess who did help me after this WALGREENS down the street, I'll never step foot in a CVS ever again. No problem that she couldn't find the prescription but the lack of kindness and assistance to help was appalling. read more

We reviewed other one star comments and agreed with them all especially about the Pharmacy. However, Yelp wanted us to say more. OK, in particular, this location messed up our COVID vaccine appointment made 2 weeks in advance. The Pharmacist blamed it on the CVS computer system for not having the vaccine ready as promised. Later on she said "oh, we have to give it to another customer who made the appointment sooner". Another Pharmacy staff told us to go to Santee location to get the vaccine without checking to see if they even have it. No one care about the time, effort and gas money we have to spend to drive around. "We have the COVID vaccine, come on in!". Shame on CVS false advertisement and their computer system. This CVS is located in the lot with Olive Garden and Dollar Tree, close to Macy's. The post-Christmas selection here was on point! Pretty much some of everything leftover and all at 1/2 off! $5 for a jewelry tree?! $10 for a Snoopy waffle maker?! $5 for an automatic candy dispenser?! $2.50 leopard Santa hats?! OKAY! Sadly, the service was subpar. There was 1 checker and boy, was she a Scrooge!!! Her name was Donna and when she saw my purchase of assorted Christmas goods, she asked if I was going to sell them at a swap meet. No...I'm getting them as future gifts for people. I'm sorry, but even if I WERE to go and sell all this stuff at Swap Meet...what's it to you?? Then, she proceeded to ask if I wanted my items bagged. I said, ok sure. She said, "Well you keep taking them from me!" in an irritated tone. Uhhh.. I was clearing room for you because stuff was piling up...okay fine. I put everything back up onto the counter. She replied- "C'mon! These items have handles! You don't need a bag." Wtf moment. The rest of the checkout transaction was painful as she was slow and a line started building up behind me. I bought multiples of certain items and instead of scanning 1 and inputing a few, she would scan every single one. I agree with the other Yelpers. Like other Yelpers; (1) the pharmacy is atrocious and (2) why do I still shop there? Pharmacy tech Cassandra (purple streak dyed in her hair) is the worst. Long story short, it took me about 90 minutes to get a prescription filled. I went there with new insurance, so CVS had to "add" me to their system. No problem. I was expecting to have to wait a few extra minutes... Except, Cassandra calls me up and says she can't get the info she needs from Aetna. I explain to her that Aetna is my medical and Optum RX is my prescription coverage, and I point out their 800 number on my card. She said that since she just got off the phone with Aetna (without getting the info she needed, DUH!), and that I had to call Optum and get the info she needs. What?! Isn't that one of the reasons CVS pays her? Why would she demand/insist I do her job? I get the special codes and numbers she needed, then another tech, Peggy, appeared to input it all incorrectly. After more waiting and a lengthy call by Peggy to the CVS help desk, they finally pull their heads out of their butts. Forget this place! read more

What a disgrace! We had to go to this CVS because our regular CVS could not fill the prescription we had. I tried to call ahead of time to verify they had the prescription. I could not do this because they did not answer the phone and the one time they did whoever answered put down the phone right away. So we took our chance and drove there. The store is filthy. Looks like they have not vacuumed for months (see photo). The staff is surly. At least they filled the prescription. The aggregate rating of this CVs is accurate. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to they mistreated me my friend my special needs son and his worker. They refused to fill my sons prescriptions on numerous due to the head pharmacist orders. He also refused to fill my prescription as well as well as my friend and said he can do that any time he chooses without reason and he would. My special needs son left very upset and crying due to that head pharmacist. My sons worker refused to go back there to fill my sons prescription. When it was reported to corporate they agreed with the pharmacist and said he can refuse to fill anyones prescription without a reason. Most horrible experience and customer service ever. read more
