Leaving a 1 star do to poor customer service from a rude and condescending clerk. Wanted to buy a few items and leave, but was asked by the clerk if I had the app, which I replied "no". He then starts with his pitch and I again declined. Then goes a second time, which I again declined so he goes for a third time which I again declined and then replies condescending that I must have money. I don't appreciate having to say no three times nor do I expect the clerk to get into mu personal income. Very unprofessional and ill be using Walgrens from now on. read more

If I was writing a review for the service I got early this morning, it would be a five star review. A gentleman named Casey helped me, his guest service was amazing. I didn't realize what a solid he did by price matching something when there were multiple items in the wrong place. I guess the difference was pretty big and I only realized that today. I got the wrong size, so I went into exchange them. The woman who helped me was friendly I'll give you that, but when I asked if I could just do a straight exchange since he did price match she said oh no no no. She let me know that he was going to be in trouble for giving me good customer service. I was kind of a jerk about it because there were so many in the wrong spot, I let her know that a few times but she didn't care. She took a picture of my receipt and said that it would be notated in his file or something. I even let her know that I was so mortified by the thought of him getting in trouble for doing his job that I probably wouldn't come back to the store. She just kept some fake sad face on saying she would have to see, I almost felt like she was happy about it she kept saying Casey Casey Casey. I wouldn't want this guy to think that I disrespected his amazing customer service by coming back and trying to exchange. So not only did this woman not let me change out the compression socks for the price that I paid for them. She let me know that he was going to be in trouble, I feel this is incredibly rude for somebody to act this way, when such great guest service was given to me. Use my terrible punctuation, I just left the store and I'm using talk to text since I now have a sick feeling in my gut. Nobody should get in trouble for having incredible guest service. If she is a part of your management, I hope you guys choose better next time. I would not want to work for that woman, unfortunately I don't know her name. I didn't want to ask her for it but I seriously could not believe after I told her that I was rude and that there were multiple pairs in the wrong location and that gentleman was just doing his job that she would go out of her way to let me know that he would be in trouble for what she said was a larger price difference and she's concerned why it didn't flag him. Lost my photos. I came in to get my photos developed from a Fuji-disposable camera. Waited 3 weeks, no photos. They seemed to have lost them. I called cvs photo customer service. They "resubmitted the order"??? And waited another 3 weeks. No info. I checked for my photos at this cvs 5 times total (over the span of a few months). Each time they said they were going to look or call someone or do something until the 5th time, an employee said they probably destroyed them or they're just lost forever. So! A lot of precious memories I thought I would have access to are now gone. I would advise you to spend the extra $$ to get your photos developed somewhere else. Somewhere better and more reliable. Otherwise, you run the very high risk of losing your photos forever. read more

It would be a negative 5 if possible! After three years the still can't get my prescription stocked. A year and a half ago the blamed it on the computer calculations and said it would eventually get caught up. 3 years later. Balboa location never had an issue in 7 years. Just sad. Today stopped in for some quick supplies and staff had noooooo idea what they were doing. Taking several people that weren't in line and would just walk up when there were two ladies in front of me and line behind me. When asked, the two cashiers didn't care in the slightest. If your going to pay a higher minimum wage your store standards should reflect a better management and staff with work ethic. I get it's CVS but just insane how much worse than the others. If you check my reviews, you'll see one thing--low reviews are rare and meaningful for me. I've been to this pharmacy 3 times and twice I left frustrated. In summary, there are always at least a handful of people waiting in line and waiting in chairs. And always someone standing, who's waited way longer than expected and is frustrated. The first time my doctor called in a prescription to the pharmacy. I arrived an hour later to be told they hadn't received it. My doctor has submitted prescriptions to other CVS's over ten times over my 8 years with them and never had a problem. My doctor also is part of a network and uses an electronic system. I didn't need to say any of this, because the gal immediately said "well, we are backed up, let me double check..." And found it, telling me it would be a 20 minute wait. I thought this was a one-off. I was wrong. The next time I went I had ordered refills online through cvs app as I've done many times in the past few years. I got there and none of the three scripts were ready, though I had texts saying that two were. Nope. No luck. Then I was sent to the drop off area to discuss more with someone else. The woman working on that side was very apologetic, patiently finding my scripts in the system and placing the orders. She glanced at the pick up line and said that it would be about 15 mins if I went to wait in line then they'd be ready by the time I got to checkout. I had been there 15 mins already, waited in a 5 person line (which is years at this cvs), been moved to drop off line, spoken with nice drop off lady, and now I was told to wait again IN LINE BEHIND SEVEN OTHER PEOPLE? No thanks. My hubby and toddler were waiting in the car, so I left and came back later (they were ready). My third and final visit was normal and I was shocked. My order was ready. read more

I've sat and waited 1 hour for what I was told would only be 15 min. This after myself having the employee check my prescription twice because he was so determined it was " never sent". Shocker, it was there. As I sat, he was so rude to any customer with any kind of an accent. I even heard him basically yell at this innocent elderly Asian lady. The pharmacy I usually go to was out of my medicine. Going forward, this place will be avoided. I suggest, Costco, Walgreens, Vons, target or even Walmart. First, I pointed out to the cashier that a cash reward for my purchase was missing on the receipt. She checked the weekly Ad saying I did not comply with the rule. I told her that's not the deal I was talking about. Then she said nothing but walked to the isle to check. That's kind of rude right there! When this lady cashier came back, she asked for my reward card. I said I did not have it with me. How about using the phone number instead? " No! I get that this pharmacy can get very busy, but treating people poorly seems to be the usual practice at this particular location. I was treated poorly by a Anniaz, and noticed his abruptness towards an elderly woman. Shame on CVS to employ someone who, as an elderly person, probably goes to the pharmacy more than I do. Disappointed they give special preference to people that are waiting to the side. My husband and I waited in the waiting line like you are supposed to for over 30-45 minutes to watch people come out of no where get served before us people in line. Witnessed this 4 times as We waited. I spoke up about it all the 15 other people waiting behind me were getting mad too. Why do you do that? Tell them to get in line like the rest of us. Is it because the women have large breasts or something, because that sure is what it seemed like. Be fair. We had put our rx in earlier too and came back. Disappointed Manager would not do anything to have an animal escorted from the pharmacy. By law service dogs are allowed, but signs need to be posted requiring vest and credentials. Post the signs CVS. This is a pharmacy for people. Animals should go to veterinarian or the owners need to get a sitter while they pickup the meds. Being allergic, this sparked up my allergies unnecessarily. Not good. Protect us people please. read more

Came to this CVS for COVID testing on Wed 9/22. The technician on site is terribly rude. The specimen collection process is sub-standard, easy for identity mix-up. The technician obviously lacks adequate basic technical training and does have attitude problem. We came to this site because we MUST have a test done on that day; we will never come back to this site again. read more

Got a nasty cough that won't go away even after the flu is mostly subsided. Went there today at around 2am and was ready to buy one of the 2 big brand cough medications. Luckily there was a pharmacist there and he recommended Mucinex DM, which I've never heard of (but did quick check after coming back home and it apparently is highly recommended). The pharmacist was friendly and courteous, even though I interrupted his work. Other staffs at CVS also friendly. Regardless if Mucinex DM works for me or not, I've giving CVS a 5-star review for tonight's experience. read more

This is for CVS Minute Clinic COVID Testing in general not to do with any specific location. I had a COVID test 9 days ago. When I made my appointment I was told results in 3-5 days. When no results came, the time delay was now 5-7 days. It is now day 9 and still no results ‼ To make my frustrations worse, my husband had a COVID test done through a different healthcare system and received his results in 8 HOURS. My doctor sent in a few prescriptions and when I called the pharmacy they said it would be ready in 30 mins. I showed up over 1 hour and half later and it still wasn't ready. We are done using this pharmacy. The are always under staffed and not able to help their patients needs. Everytime you call they take so long to answer. I went to CVS twice this week. I had 4 prescirptions to fill, 2 I refilled online (easy process) and 2 were called in by a dr. My dr. called in at 1:30 pm and I went in at 5 pm. NOTE: 5 pm is not the time to go - SO many people, 10 people in line to pick up and 10 people in line to order.. it was madness and super slow! There was 4 people in the back refilling and 3 at the counter helping people but the people helping were on the slower side. I waited 7 minutes to get to the counter then was told 3 of 4 prescirptions are ready.. so I waited another 20 minutes and decided to leave. On my way out, I said I'll try to come back when it is not busy, the employee said - good luck - either come after 9 pm or before 8 am... so if you don't want to wait in line for your drugs visit in the late night time. I did end up going back at 8:45 pm the following night, there was no line and three people working the pharmacy, the process still took 10 minutes to pick up a prescription that was already ready... CVS itself, pharmacy excluded, is always very clean and the cashiers are always friendly and greet you. read more

it's a pharmacy, what do you expect? Higher prices and sick people... not a fan of the lack of hand sanitizer in the pharmacy area. I'm not a germaphobe but there were only 5 chairs and the pharmacy was pretty full so i went for a walk to get "away from the germs". POSITIVE the pharmacy was really really quick and pretty much on the dot for 15min wait on meds. Don't ever fill your prescriptions here! They are on probation. It seems They will never let you leave their system without being demanding. I have been filling my prescriptions here for a while now and recently transferred all prescriptions to a closer pharmacy. Today, I couldn't fill them because cvs, even though I have transferred them over a month ago, keeps filling them thru an auto-fill system. I've called multiple times and they still can't fix the issues, again on hold today. The manager, Ryan, says the customers in line that have been there 20 minutes are more important than me who has been having issues with them for weeks! My wife had to insist it be handled and wait on the phone for confirmation since I needed refills asap. I think I will report this issue to the board that they are on probation with. This CVS needs a major lesson in medical practice and their probation warning isn't enough! read more

Santee Pharmacists have decided not to fill prescriptions with high co-pays! Not once, but twice, this happened to me in a matter of a four day period. Both pharmacist at this location told me that 99% of customers at this location do not pay for prescriptions with high co-pays and thus they do not fill them. I was never called or consulted about this decision. In addition, both times the pharmacy tech helping me informed me that I did not have another refill to pick up. I basically had to "demand" to speak to the pharmacist or manager and then "re-request" to have my prescriptions filled. This is unacceptable, dangerous and illegal. Lastly, the customer service is extremely poor and the pharmacist is rude and not helpful. The store manager of this location is a nice man who does try to help. read more

When I learned that the rite-aid across the street was closing, I stopped by here to do my drug store shopping. Apparently many others decided to do the same and the store was ill equipped for the added business. So much so that I won't go back. I spent over half an hour in this store and ended up leaving without buying anything. I needed to buy a new electric razor and they were locked up on the display rack and there was not a store employee anywhere nearby to be found. I looked for the Flintstones brand vitamins my kids like so much...also after much perusing of the vitamin aisle...nowhere to be found. I went to the pharmacy to buy some allergy meds and was told by one available clerk that it was the wrong line...so I went over to the correct lines and was second in line for the next 20 minutes behind two people at the two available cashiers. As I stood there more people started showing up and because they clearly weren't prepared for lines, no one was really sure who was next or where the line was. I say 20 minutes because that was my tolerance for waiting...it really did not seem like they were getting close to finishing either of the two transactions. So I left, vowing never to return again. Many empty shelves and those that have product were in such disarray it was hard to tell the price of anything. I came to store in need of an item. I inquired about Christmas gift sets and the manager said you mean Valentine gift sets. I was taken back because I had been to CVS and known that they were Christmas gift sets. The manager this grin and sarcasm that seemed really nasty. I think CVS is headed back to its old ways before it wasn't doing so well. I probably will not come back to this store. At most CVS I feel like the store is a partner in your shopping experience. I felt greed and disappointment here. The grin from both the assistant and manager was so greedy as if it yea we know we selling Christmas items as valentines items, so what. I think if CVS has managers who are this sales driven then it may potentially struggle. Typically CVS seems very interested in the customer and making the experience enjoyable but these guys took pleasure in selling old items as current while other stores discounted them. read more

I recently moved ftom Ramona to Lakeside, and was hoping the Santee location would be better. NOT. I called, and spoke to a pharmacy technician because the medication I needed had no refills, and I.let him know the request for a new Rx has to be faxed, not sent electronically. So today I get a text that I have a prescription. I get there, and it's a different medication (that does have refills)...and the one I asked for? Nope. They are open 24 hours a day so that is the positive and the reason I keep coming back. I have yet to have a prescription ready when I get there. They suggest I call ahead (after the doctor calls it in) but if you do, they don't answer their phone (the machine is currently announcing "3 pharmacy calls" yet nobody is picking it up). They blame the delays on being the only 24 hour pharmacy, but if that's the case, why not staff it to the demand? They are also on probation according to a huge yellow sign that is now posted behind the counter. Staff is friendly for people who get yelled at daily.
