Long lines. Angry staff that doesn't seem to care about patients. And if you try and call expect to wait and wait and wait.

This CVS is NOT 24 hours. Do not go here during the night if you're expecting to go to a 24 hour store. I live and work down the street from this store and every time I go there is a piece of cardboard taped to the door saying "closed sorry" every time. This time I went at 2 am and there's a cardboard saying they'll be back at 4am. But there's signs and lights all over the store that say "OPEN 24 HOURS" yet there's a worker sitting there inside? don't go here. read more

Is it even remotely possible to find a less competent pharmacy in the United States? Called them this morning to request RX delivery. On hold for 11 minutes, then cut off. Called back again and was informed by "Terry" that I would have to request delivery via their web site. I told her this is not true and that I've had several pharmacy employees arrange delivery over the phone. Their phone APP doesn't function on my iPhone, nor does their web site allow one to request delivery. Terry put me on hold. Asked me one more question, then put me on hold yet again. Finally acknowledged delivery. Asked to speak with management. She said there is no manager, then transferred me to "Sam." Sam then transferred me to Eric, who is the pharmacist. The crazies have taken over the asylum aka CVS. I expect nothing to change or improve, and the only reason we get our prescriptions here is because of it being closest to our home. read more

The slowest pharmacy I've ever been to. The store is completely dead. The pharmacy had a line and was inadequately staffed. I tried calling earlier in the day and spent 10 minutes on hold before giving up and just showing up only to be even more disappointed. I recently moved to Petaluma and was looking for a new place to pickup my prescription but I definitely won't be using this place. read more

The management of this CVS really needs to add some staff. I have been in line for 1 hour and 13 minutes to pick up a simple prescription. Also every single time I come here for ANYTHING AT ALL there is only one person at the register. Often they are older people who are slower - which is fine - but they get flustered when people grow impatient. I mean come on - add a few people and at least make the line go faster. I'm done coming here. Never again. I'd rather pay more or go out if my way because this wait is just ridiculous. read more

This store, and CVS are a joke. I made an appt for Shingles vaccination online, which included the site asking what type of medical insurance I have. I stated Kaiser. So I show up, ask where the bathroom is at the front counter, and both ladies are extremely rude to me. Then I go stand in line for the pharmacy area to get the vaccination, and the gut at the counter tells me , "Oh I'm sorry, we don't accept Kaiser medical coverage". " But if you want to just pay for it , it's only $200.00". Then the best part, try calling the 1-800 phone number. You will get one moron after another. Oh, you want to book an appointment ? You want medical insurance ? Can I help you with anything else ? Even the so called managers. Clueless morons. Never again will I set foot in one of their stores. read more

This store is always a train wreck. The displays look horrible, the staff is very incompetent, and I never have a good experience. Today was once of the worst. There was one women checking, with a line of about 12 people waiting to check out. She called overhead for the shift supervisor to come help her 3 times, before he showed up. Then he said, I will be there to help when my lunch is over". The women was upset because she was a new employee and was overwhelmed. She said, " look at this line, I need your help". The man started yelling at her that he couldn't help until his break was over. Never going there again. read more

I went to go pick up my UPS package and apparently there's only one person that's able to hand me my package The lady behind the counter told me they were in a conference call and I had to return in about 20 to 30 more minutes. I had it rerouted there for convenience and this was not convenient at all. read more

MANAGEMENT needs to hire someone to ANSWER THE PHONE. Several times any hour. I'd rather call the DMV. Staff is too busy they ignore the phone, hope you hang us. Usually 48+ hours late on scheduled pick up time. Just the worst!!! read more

Well giving this place 1 star even though I never actually made it in the store. I drive a truck and work nights, I needed a few things before I left town. After seeing this was a 24 hour store I headed on down. I arrived at the store at 2:20 am. and all the lights were on and there was a big sign on the door that read "open 24 hours". Well the door wouldn't open and after knocking and attempting to open I finally noticed a piece of cardboard with some marker taped to the door. It read "on lunch closed til 4 am. Now call me crazy but I would imagine they should have more than 1 worker on but also it was 2:20 am. How long of a lunch does this person need? Needless to say this totally sucked because in California nothing is open at that time. I come from the northeast where you can get just about anything at any hour of the night. read more

The single worst pharmacy I have ever visited, anywhere, bar none. When my husband was released from the hospital after major heart surgery, they REFUSED to fill his prescriptions at 8:45 pm because, said the pharmacist, she was leaving at 9:00 pm, and she "should be packing up now." So we had to drive an hour and a half to Santa Rosa to fill his prescriptions. After HEART SURGERY. Because the pharmacist was too lazy to fill it. Let's see, other prescriptions are NEVER ready when they say they will be. Then the pharmacists don't listen, don't run the correct insurance information, and keep you waiting for hours in person, on the phone, etc. Seriously, I do not understand how this store is even open. Update: my pediatrician just insisted on sending a scrip here. It has taken them three hours to not fill the wrong prescription (written down wrong) and bill the wrong insurance. Seriously??? Totally and completely unbelievable. They've got to be selling meth or something. Otherwise how can they be so distracted and incompetent?? read more

I saw a lot of horrible reviews of this store but decided to give it a chance. I read that they falsely claimed to be open 24 hours, so I called and the recording gave store hours as "we are open 24 hours" so I drove to the store to discover... nope, closed. There were two handwritten signs on the door that looked like they had been written by a kindergartner saying "open at 8am". Trashiest store in Petaluma! read more

Last X-Mas I ordered one of those calendars online with my own photos. I got an email that it was ready, I went in to pick it up but it wasn't done. They told me that they had trouble downloading the pics. But they failed to contact me to let me know. The only way I was going to and DID find out was by showing up. The same thing happened again, and when I talked directly to the lady behind the desk she said she'd take care of it and to come back in a couple of hours. When I returned it wasn't solved and she had gone home for the day and no one knew anything about it. Despite they're "special offers" I'd steer clear of this one. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a CVS before. I was looking for something for my allergies and went back to the pharmacy And asked the woman behind the counter, I am assuming was a pharmacy tech, where the the allergy or antihistamines were and she snapped at me like I was asking for her bank account. She then said (loudly) I can't recommend anything, I looked around to see if someone else could have been there who may have asked that question, no one else. The CVS Pharmacy is terrible. Somehow they never get the fax the first time any doctor's office faxes over a prescription (this happened with three different doctor's offices). With the multiple calls to my doctor's office to re-fax, the wait in the drop off line, and the filling the prescription wait, it usually takes at least 2 hours to actually get a prescription. This is even worse when the prescription is for your two year old with an ear infection who just wants to feel better, like NOW! It's the closest pharmacy so I keep thinking, maybe next time it won't take two hours. But next time always takes longer. I quit. read more

Stock in the store in general is consistently low or out. It feels like almost every time I go, I leave with nothing or a variation of what I came for because what I needed wasn't in stock. The pharmacy gave me someone's else's medication once. I noticed when I got home. Another time my husbands meds were signed for most likely stolen by staff after we didn't pick up the refill that month. Never ever has a prescription been ready to go there's always shenanigans. I've learned it's worth a further drive to have a friendly staff that will not act inconvenienced by every customer. They are all weirdos stuck in the 70's. except the striking gorgeous black woman that deserves a way better job, she's efficient and courteous, what the heck is she doing there?? HUGE location (by NYC standards at least) and very well stocked - it was close to our hotel and a lifesaver for everything from a forgotten toothbrush to hotel room snacks. The store is pretty large and has lots of parking close by. However, it is not very well stocked, which doesn't look good. I saw several displays that were low on merchandise. The entire greeting card display was probably going to be replaced, as it was completely empty. Not good planning to let that happen. read more

This place is an embarrassment to the CVS Pharmacy chain. The checker tonight HATES her job, that was 100% clear. And, what's not to hate? I went there at about 5:45 p.m. I saw a checker and a person in the pharmacy. The pharmacy person should have a sign on her saying, "GO AWAY"! I stood at the counter a long time right in front of her inside (with a window) and she refused to look at me. I'm tall, I'm sure she knew I was there. I will make a concerted effort NEVER to go into this store again. I wish something would replace this store, almost anything would be more welcoming and well run. read more

Unfond memories of me and my family being racially profiled here while growing up. This was my neighborhood CVS for a long time and people were always mean to me. I guess that speaks to the racial composition of Petaluma, but nonetheless, if you're a POC do yourself a favor and head over to Novato to get your prescription. read more

I went in the store on 1/7/2020. 7:12 pm and (john) was working i looked around for ice coffee on sale then proceeded to look for dark chocolate as i was looking john said theres more in clerance and i said oh im a dark chocolate guy.....he then told me to get out of the store as i was walking out and dont return because he said he saw me put candy in my pocket i said sir its my cellphone i showed him he told me to get off the property or i will be arrested and im not aloud back i will never return to your store again I just got my paycheck and was looking for stuff on sale i am disabled it takes me a little while to look but i wont be back thank you have a blessed day read more

This pharmacy is a total nightmare. We got stuck going here after the last family owned pharmacy closed because our insurance required we use them. In the few months of 2012 that we used CVS (our ins now requires we use Safeway), the computer was down 4 times so we had to wait until the next day to get our prescriptions filled. Some in our family use medications that do not allow for you to skip a day's worth of doses, so this was an enormous problem; having to wait an extra day. Then even when the computers were "up", the wait was never less than 25 minutes, and usually 45 mins to an hour. I spoke with personnel and was told that they had asked the manager for extra help because they suffered the anger of the public, but the manager refused. It's always the bottom line and when they know you HAVE to go there because insurance requires it, you are at their mercy. Safeway is only slightly better overall but we have to drive cross town to get there and that is not something I ever look forward to due to the traffic issues. read more

I have been here several times, and each time I have stopped by there the staff have been friendly and helpful. The prescription dept has fairly fast service as well. Their prices are competitive with other drug stores, and they are for the most part well stocked. I however couldn't believe they didn't seem to have a spot near the paper products for kleenex. I was in there the other day and had to pick up a prescription for my wife and walked all over the store to find a pack of Kleenex and finally found an endcap to an aisle where there were a few small boxes. I hope they were just out of stock, but like I said there wasn't even a space for them. Anyway, otherwise it is a pretty good drug store for prescriptions and sone household items. read more

This place is terrible!! Long, slow lines, dirty bathroom, rude & inefficient pharmacy staff. The system doesn't always accurately show if you have previously received a Rx. They won't give you your Rx without the Pharmacist present and the pharmacist takes lunch at random hours. I am done with this place!! read more

The service and assistance was fast and efficient, in addition to the helpful and pleasant dealings with Tom a pharmacist and Laurie and Sam. This pharmacy has frequently shorted me on pills for my prescriptions. When I call to complain, their response is to come back and they will give me the extra pills. No apology or anything. I'm disabled, so I don't find it easy to make additional trips. I asked if they could just add the missing pills to my next refill. Oh no, that would be way too convenient. I have talked both to the manager and their national office about this continually happening, and they just don't care! The pill shorting even happens on narcotics, which I think should interest management as I plan to notify the DEA. read more

She called me, told me "I am a Pharmacist from CVS, what is your birthday?" and gave me no other information and then hung up on me when I refused and asked her what was going on. I was left not knowing if the prescription I picked up was dangerous, a mistake, nothing. The lack of professionalism at this store is profound!
