Pretty sure we have all been to Target and know what to expect at this point. This particular location is a solid choice compared to neighboring cities with Targets in them. Clean, easy to navigate and helpful staff, not sure what else to really expect from a big box store. I've been here several times for pickups and returns which were easy to perform and lines moved quickly. Self-checkout lines are also well organized by staff helping patrons, if need be, so again well done. A review sometimes does help for chain big box stores, so just leaving it at that. read more

This store is almost allergic to making you want to purchase anything. They put stuff out on the floor that they can't even sell none of the pricing is right they're out of everything and customer service is non-existent why anybody would shop here is beyond me read more

Produce is the pits!! Have seen several "best by dates" for different products in the grocery area as being well out of date. My child was dragged by a staff member just because he was running around. This is unacceptable behavior of the staff because as if they are not the parent, why are they touching my child? This is unacceptable and if I see one more target employee touch my child I'm going to file a lawsuit mark. my words. read more

Today about 6:30pm. I went for my drive up order pick up. Had a great experience all because of young Freddy. I do a lot of drive up pick ups and today I left in a happy mood. I watched Freddy rushing back and forth getting orders out and with a great attitude and interacted with me as family. Freddy You have a heart of gold. Please give him a raise. Once I got in the store all Safety and precautions where in forced. The employees were continually sanitizing, everything was clean and organized and distance was enforced. Target is a fun store to go to. They have everything you need and good prices too. I like to shop for my granddaughter during this pandemic. I find the cutest outfits for a reasonably price. Update . They literally lost me as a customer for 7 months and counting . I now actually shop elsewhere and give business to other places . The way stores are closing now I can see Target closing for unethical business practices . read more

Very unpleasant staff in the changing room. This is something the management should review and address.

Omg I wish Chico, CA learned a thing or two from your store. Maybe it's cause I was back home visiting and that happy city vibe was shining. Everyone was super friendly and nice. Employees checking out were actually engaging with customers and were happy to work. The store was so clean. The only thing I highly highly recommend and suggest. My mom is handicap and rides store scooter you should really drive that through your clothing isle cause it was hard for her to get around women's socks and jewelry. Thanks for making truly miss my hometown and being nice I miss that so much in Chico. read more

When the holidays come rushing at you from every direction, it is very much appreciated to be assisted by friendly, thoughtful and knowledgeable staff, particularly Monica A at checkout. I had a good experience today at Target. I was happy to find almost every item I wanted. Often times they don't have all the sizes of popular items in stock in clothing but, I still found a few items. All of the departments were clean and clear of boxes and 'stuff,' too. I purchased cosmetics, food, household items, toys and pet items today. I only had to go to one store! I also, want to commend my check out host, Jack. He was friendly and helpful. I decided against a few items and he told me, 'no problem' instead of being snarky like a lot of cashiers. He had to deal with a terrible, rude customer pulling a scam on him. The guy said his card went through. Then stormed out really quick with a basket full of items. The card didn't go through. This is a new scam for sure. The manager who came to assist Jack was super kind and efficient. Mostly, incredibly kind and patient. I hope they get the jerk. Thanks for a great shop:) read more

We already know how much we love Target. The red circle has awesome staff, great products, dedicated customer service area, and now they offer a one stop grocery shopping too! But beyond the basics, did you also know that Target has joined on board to help support our country become less reliant on fossil fuel, and help reduce this country's carbon footprint? With my recent purchase of an electric vehicle (EV), my quest to find FREE charging begins! I have limited driving range so when I plan on traveling longer distance, I plan my route accordingly to charging stations. Fortunately, California has the largest charging infrastructure which can sustain the momentum for first time EV owners. With that said, once you arrive at this location, look for a "Red Electric Car" symbol. It is located adjacent to the left front entrance. You will need to download "Chargepoint" APP to activate charging or, use your card if you've previously registered through their website. Charging is FREE for two hours. How cool is that? In case you have problems finding it, just ask one of the friendly staff at Target Petaluma, and they will direct you to the location. Cheers! read more

No longer using Target. They no longer offer specials or deals unless you join their "Circle" to be tracked. They do not have a customer service number available or a chat. I put customer service into their site and got a page that wanted me to select an issue from a menu. My issue didn't even have an issue I could select that was even close to what I needed help with, and there was no option to get someone on chat. Target clearly has no intention of being available to help customers anymore. They used to be one of the best stores out there. Not so anymore! read more

It is hard for me To write this review but once again a store in particular this Target does not look over expectation dates. It is not let me repeat it is not the customers job to look at the expiration dates. As a customer I should not have to go out of my way for a refund because your clerks, supervisor and manager can't seem to look over your products. No excuse. I have worked retail and you need to make it a priority when the date says Best Buy April 22, 2020. That's a problem. Please I should not have to do your job and if I do than I want to be paid for my resources or we need to hire new managers. read more

I bought 2 iPads online and picked up in Petaluma store a month ago. I asked the staff what is the return policy when I picked up my items, he told me is up to 90 days and even if the box is opened they will still issued me full refund. I went and try to return it today, they told me I passed my 14 days window and return policy is listed on the receipt. I explained I was told I can return the item within 3months, they said nothing they can do and I need to call corporate, maybe they can overwrite the return. I called the corporate, they said same thing and told me I have to contact the manufacturer myself. I called Apple and they said I purchased the item from Target, I need to call back Target for the return. I called Target corporate again, they said the same thing again that I passed my 14days window and nothing they can do. I can't believe this is the customer service I'm getting from Target! It seems like every visit in recent months has astounded me with a new way every visit of how drastically Target as a whole-but this Target in particular, has gone downhill in a hurry. This Petaluma store always has more carts loose in the parking lot filling up what could be available parking spots, than inside for customers to use. I've seen several times NO carts inside so if u wanted one, u had to go back outside to hunt one down & sanitize it yourself IF the sanitizing station had supplies... I'm not against young employees, we all start somewhere. However in the stores I visit on a weekly basis (Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Santa Rosa & Napa), I'd say I've seen 3-4 employees over the age of 30yrs old. Is that cuz u prefer ur employees to be naive & not know their worth yet? So u can pay them less & there's no Senior employees to inform them they're being taken advantage of? I see Target & many companies utilizing the new "Multi use Clerk" position/title & it's sad & unfair & u know it. My prior company I wasted 21yrs at, I think started this garbage. It's a Unionized grocery company & they introduced the Multi use Clerk the same time they quit allowing Journeyman Clerk status. I was one of the few left-WAS. Ur hiring young people before they've gotten a chance to see what the working world is like & u make them wear every hat in the store- but pay them the same as if they're only wearing one. So they are expected to fold clothes, go backs, cashier, restock, collect carts & clean bathrooms, work guest services, be a manager & handle customer complaints.. those are all seperate job titles/positions..which all should have a pay rate of their own based on the level of the position. Did u do away with promoting since every clerk one day a week is everything from cart collector to cashier to mobile orders to manager? U think there's going to be any respect between employees anymore? Why should Sue listen to John just cuz he's manager today? She's going to be manager tomorrow! She's not gonna listen to him, he's no authoritative figure to her. U got no seasoned employees to educate & pass on knowledge to those coming in. Ur over working & under paying ur employees. U have blurred the lines of what is who's job & who is Senior Mgmt, mid mgmt, clerks of which department.. it's a jumbled mess & It's finally showing signs of breaking down cuz u forfeited foundation & structure.. for cheaper labor... So now u have stores full of kids, it's their first job, minimal training, with no mentors & u sprinkle management titles on them like rain drops. So as a customer, u get these snarky kids like "Bek" thinkin they're hot sh!t cuz their ego is so inflated they strut around like a peacock cuz they're a "manager" at 19yrs old...NO ONE way up that ladder thought of a single way this could cause major issues with the longevity of the company? read more

The good the bad and the Ugly The good-our cashier Kendall was so sweet and funny. She had great customer service and overall had a cheerful attitude. The bad (but good) I had a serious addiction for Target Spring and Summer stuff and this year I went full Lohan psycho on anything turquoise that wasn't nailed down The ugly-the ladies bathroom was being cleaned so I had to use the family bathroom and it was FILTHY. Seriously, look at the pictures! I can understand that people use paper and throw it on the floor but if you look at the actual floor it is disgusting and looks like it hasn't been mopped in a decade. Target is the cheapest place for my eye solutions now.. walgreens, cvs, walmart, rite aid all sell eye solutions for higher. they now longer want to "pretend" to be cheap. they are raping profits via prescriptions americans have to have. some are covered by health plans, some are not. i.e. ambien-$2 with prescirption, $100 without, dorolamide HCI (for glacoma) $2ish with health, $100 without.. more meds to come $1-2/day with health plan. buys: usual eye solution (8ish) read more

I called Target yesterday, it rang and rang and rang and no one ever answered my call. I went into the store to look for my product, couldn't find ANYONE to help me. While in the store I called and Angelo answered, I asked if they had a game I wanted, he didn't think so but looked and yes they had it. I said, I couldn't find it or anyone to help me, as I was talking to him a clerk walked by and I asked for her help, she looked put out but did help me. In the meantime Angelo came looking for the game just as the other employee found it. Angelo gets 5 STARS for initiative, give that guy a raise, he's a keeper! The lack of phone support brings my rating of Target to a 3 (only because Angelo boosted it, otherwise, I'd give Target a 1 rating. I asked for the manager to tell her how great Angelo and while I waited for her, the phone was ringing, a saw a guy walking around speaking with other employees while the phone rang, he eventually answered it, I pointed that out to the manager on duty 10/11/24, 1:00-ish, she was actually standing there as the guy wasn't answering the phone. I'd give the phone guy and the manager a 1 rating. Maybe promote Angelo, he's better than both the manager and the phone-customer-support guy. read more

I was very surprised at how this store looked. I was in front of the gift bags & ribbons & when I took a step I noticed my shoes were sticking to the ground. Then I noticed the whole area was that way, all sticky, filthy black stuff all over the floor. Walking down the main aisle that is in front of the registers I noticed the floor was black & filthy on that entire aisle from the of the store up to the registers. There are more empty shelves in that store then there should be (I worked retail for a number of years and you do what you can to face the shelves with product even spreading them out so the shelves aren't bare.). I was floored & disgusted at this store. No pride. read more

I do come here a lot and I do like Target, but it consistently is out of products. I have been trying to not roll bandage tape for three weeks now and for the past three Saturdays I have gone in to check for them, the rack for them is empty! I noticed a lot of other spots in that aisle are empty too. They also hide seasonal products in the back aisles, so unless you go back there you never find them. Examples in the past have been the holiday Glade candles and fresheners that are on the back end aisles instead of with the Glade products or the holiday items. Often holiday foods are hidden this way too. Then there's the Target app which is inconsistent with what's on the shelf vs. what the store actual has. I remember the app said the store had a certain flavor of Cheerios in a certain aisle.....for weeks this item was NEVER in the store where the app said it would be. In fact, product was not on shelves until months AFTER the holiday. I wish this store would stock itself Update: this store doesn't stock their shelves. I go in for gauze and they are out of it for weeks at a time. Their website and app are awful. You can search for items by store but they NEVER have in stock the item it clearly says is on a shelf IN STOCK on their website or app. I went looking for a scrub brush they said was IN Stock. I searched w everywhere and finally found where it was---- just an empty rack. This also happened with a steamer they said was in stock, but was NOT. Same with a particular dish soap. Same with a juice my husband drinks. They never have what they claim to have in store. read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Petaluma, California

This Target usually has what I need. The prices on anything beauty, body, or hair products are cheaper than the Ulta next door. I only go to Ulta if they have something that isn't available at Target. Overall this Target is cleaner than most locations but there are some problems with the management. Target seems to have an over glorified reputation and fanbase (not just customers, literal fans). One thing that I really hate about pricing is that the products are cheaper on the app and I have to ask employees to price match them. Random dollars here and there but sometimes a concealer will be $6 online compared to $12 in store. It's honestly ridiculous. A NYX palette was $19.99 in store and $12 online. Target also has a woke reputation but most of the products I have had to price match are products that women use more than men. It's also inconvenient to have to scan every single product in my basket on the app and ask an employee to change each one. They have to enter their employee ID and password and fill out info such where the cheaper price was found (always the Target app) and the new price. More than once I have gone to self checkout and pressed the help button, and going to the regular checkout because no employees came. Another time an employee was standing at self checkout clapping her hands together and doing some kind of step dance, not realizing the light from my station was right across from her. I have returned products before that were new, but I lost the receipt. They allow you to return without a receipt if you have the card you paid with. I use two cards, rarely use cash, and Apple pay. But every time I scan them, the purchase never shows up. Target doesn't seem to be keeping accurate records of who purchased what. They let you return products with an ID, which I had to resort to using. But one time, the employee at customer service scanned my ID and the store credit refund didn't go through. She tried entering the numbers but it still wasn't working. She said it could maybe be refunded in cash instead of credit. Either was fine. But when she tried to process the refund, it did not go through. She had to get management to help. The manager said I could not use my passport, it had to be a drivers' license. I had done a return with a passport before because I do not have a license. I said I could give them my DMV ID number, because I have a permit. The manager said I needed a physical card. I said I had done returns with my passport before and it is listed as a valid form of government identification on the Target website. The employee says "well this is my manager and she says you need the actual card." It was a waste of twenty minutes and I thought it was silly how the employees and management don't know their own store policies. I ended up taking the two products to a different Target and was successfully refunded with my passport. The bras were new and still available in the store so it wasn't too late. Other times I have tried to look for products that the app said were in stock. The app didn't say what I was looking for was in low stock. Then I waste time going to the store and it's nowhere in sight. I started ordering items for pickup because I didn't want to spend time going to the store if they didn't have what I needed. Sometimes I'll pay for something and my order is cancelled because an employee tried looking for it but it was out of stock. The app is really slow with their inventory. read more

Petaluma's Super Target has everything- an eye clinic, a CVS pharmacy, a Pizza Hut&a Starbucks. It's larger than both Napa Targets. It's a full-service store. The cash registers were well-staffed considering the large number of customers. I was able to find a bath mat, coffee.... but when it came to detergent, not so much. Some o the shelves had been practically picked clean. Shopping on Wednesdays tends to mean lean pickings, whether one's at Target or Dollar Tree. They had good sales, so I was able to save. The coffee was a deal at $3.99. An OK place, tho better than most. read more

WORST Target customer experience ever! I tried calling about an item I left on the bottom of my cart. Totally my fault but I didn't expect to be HUNG UP ON FOUR TIMES and then LAUGHED AT another. Target has this really neat feature where you can place an order online. But you come in store and it's not ready for pick up. So you cancel your online order when they give you the option grab the item yourself and wait in the lines you were trying to avoid in the first place. And then you go to get the item you came here for, only to realize it's the dingy gross floor model and they have none in the back. After you spent 20 minutes trying to complete your order, they tell you the boxed item will arrive in another 2 weeks, or you can drive 45 minutes to another target to pick it up. Swell. read more

Big store, very organized and clean. The team has always been helpful as well.

I was so disappointed in the staff today especially one of the leaders in particular. I have been shopping at this Target since the day it opened I love Target! Who doesn't? Today I walked in with my small 7lbs pup who I have brought in so many times without any problem until today. (Also my therapy dog) I walked in and was immediately stopped by one of the leaders telling me to get my dog out of the shopping cart she explained that they Target is trying something new and that customers have complained about allergies that its caused by the dogs that come in and are in the cart. She stated that I can ask you if that's a a therapy dog or not I looked at her like why is she making such a big deal there are people who come in with dogs everyday to this Target why am I "Targeted" today? She told me that my dog has to walk I didn't argue and just did what she demanded. What I'm confused about is has this leader not looked at the shopping carts in the store? Beyond dirty which can cause any "child" to get sick let alone people's "allergies" by the way my dog doesn't have fur. I just didn't understand why the "Target is trying something new" and your the first person to pick on. Later I went to checkout and asked for the corporate number from the associate that was ringing me up he asked was the matter I told him the situation and he stated that is so weird there are dogs here everyday especially in the shopping cart I don't understand why she would do that. I asked if this was a new thing and he "No" He apologized which he didn't have to but it made me feel worse that the associates haven't heard of this new tryout. Target if you're going to leaders under the age of 25 and don't know the laws and regulations I ask of you to educate your associates better. Thanks read more

A belated 4 stars for TARGET. Petaluma waited years for this to happen; the old Kenilworth Junior High was mercifully razed, and the developer then provided $22 million to construct a brand new one across town. Years passed, city council wrangling ensued, and finally the TARGET appeared in the mist. It was like a breath of fresh air. The new store is fantastic, and even includes a grocery component plus a pharmacy. Now there is no reason to trek up to Rohnert Park or down to Marin county. This store is immaculate, the employees are terrific, and the prices are very competitive. All of this in Petaluma! Plus, the parking lot is huge and you can always find some place to put your car. read more
