Target never ceases to amaze me how much worse they can get with restocking. I went in a little over a week ago, and they were out of the body spray I use and buy from them all the time. Came back yesterday, and the shelf was still out. Not sure who is in charge of reordering, but they need to step it up! Also while every other store in the world carries the V-8 Healthy Greens juice, Target no longer even has a space on the shelf for it. They are losing more business every day. I am getting to the point of not even shopping there anymore. This store was a really good convenient place to shop. read more

A belated 4 stars for TARGET. Petaluma waited years for this to happen; the old Kenilworth Junior High was mercifully razed, and the developer then provided $22 million to construct a brand new one across town. Years passed, city council wrangling ensued, and finally the TARGET appeared in the mist. It was like a breath of fresh air. The new store is fantastic, and even includes a grocery component plus a pharmacy. Now there is no reason to trek up to Rohnert Park or down to Marin county. This store is immaculate, the employees are terrific, and the prices are very competitive. All of this in Petaluma! Plus, the parking lot is huge and you can always find some place to put your car. read more

Super lame, Target! I've been looking for a specific type of shelving that I need to complete a project I'm working on. I called these guys to ask if they had it, explained I was looking for something very specific, and emphasized that I needed to make absolutely sure that they had it before I spent the time to go to the store. They assured me multiple times that they had multiple types, for sure, without a doubt. So, I drive to Target, drive around forever looking for a parking spot. I finally find one, and go into Target and look for the shelving I need, only to find out that the chick I spoke to on the phone was completely BSing me. No sign whatsoever of what I was looking for. I tried to ask an employee, to no avail, he was absolutely clueless. Might as well have been brain dead. I gotta say, Target, I am not impressed. So you would think that target being a big corporation would be up with the times but they are not! While it's not their fault that I'm tight on money right now but it is their fault their return/exchange policy is out of date. I went to return two items today so that I was able to get Tylenol for my daughter, thinking they could do the return and purchase of the one item in the same transaction and just refund me the difference. Most places do this btw! To my surprise not target! Needless to say I have to wait for the money to post back to my account. Now I'm scrambling to get the Tylenol for my daughter who currently needs it. I think it's time for a policy change you would think that they would want to give less money back to customers and would welcome the fact they want to target to keep the money. I have never received customer service from a large store like I did tonight at Target in Petaluma. Jeff (I think his last initial was L?) at customer service helped me with a return. I had no receipt, no card it was purchased on (yea, i was THAT person) and the $600 in items I wanted to exchange were online only. What a nightmare! He helped us with a smile, made a few appropriate jokes and figured out a way he could help, even though all odds were against us. When everything was said and done and we had what we needed, we realized that the items were coming up for a different price. HE WENT BACK AND FIXED EVERYTHING and gave us the exact amount we needed on a gift card to reorder the items. He kept saying, There is always a solution and I will never say no to a customer. TARGET HAS FOUND A GEM with this employee..... he never broke a sweat, never sighed or looked annoyed, he seemed GENUINELY HAPPY to help us. WOW! This Target store is easily one of my favorites I've ever visited in California. It is still new, so sometimes the return line is long ... but they are efficient so the wait is never that long. The checkout lines move quickly and the staff are friendly and helpful (well, as helpful as they can be - I've sometimes found if you're looking for something it's easier/more efficient to ask a shopper if they know!). I love that it has a grocery, but honestly haven't even gotten to that side of the store yet. The pharmacy requires some notes: They have over 1000 generics that are only $4 for a 30 day supply. But be careful since some of the meds I've picked up are more expensive than Walgreens or Raley's like my thyroid meds ($12.99 for a 90 day supply everywhere else than Target - Target charged $30+). But that just goes to show that you should always call pharmacies before you transfer a prescription to check the price. It's like buying anything else, make sure you compare. Oh and also important to note ... the pharmacy for ALL Targets are closed on Sundays. I once had to go without an important med since I didn't realize this. Oh and make sure you sign up for the prescription rewards program - every 5 prescriptions you pick up will earn you a 5% off your total Target shopping for a day. And that can be combined with the 5% off with your Red Card (a card linked to your bank account like another check card). Just remind the person checking you out at the pharmacy you're in the prescription rewards program because sometimes it doesn't automatically pop up. Otherwise, even if I move somewhere else in Sonoma County this is the Target I would still drive out of my way to visit. The store is clean, the products are usually there (I couldn't find slippers on my last visit), and it's in a great location off the freeway with plenty of places to eat around it. read more

This review is a little bit overdue but as they say, better late than never. While visiting family for the holidays, I went shopping with family on Black Friday evening, 11/28/15, and purchased the new Call of Duty 3 for Xbox360. We went home and after realizing that this version of Call of Duty 3 did not have a story mode and the graphics were pretty bad vs what we are used to on a different game system, that we also own, we decided to bring it back. The following day, with receipt in hand, we went in and spoke to somebody in returns. We explained what our dilemma was and what we wanted to do (not get a refund but upgrade to the Xbox One version which was $10 more). We were told that we would not be able to do that because the packaging was opened already and historically people burn copies of games and then return them. They did say to go back and see if a person back in electronics could do it. We did that but got the same story and went back to the return area to pick up our game and leave very pissed off at spending $59 on a crappy purchase. Kerith overheard us talking and having seen us come in and heard our story from the beginning made everything right in true customer service way and management style. She is truly a professional who realized we were not there to scam anybody, but just did not research the games enough and we were also told by several others in returns, that the people back in the game section should have told us that the Xbox 360 version did not have story mode in the first place. Overall, Kerith made this night and this holiday celebration smooth sailing and we will be back to this store for sure. Target administrators, keep Kerith whatever you do and make sure you clone her for the other stores :-) Thank you Target for your excellent service and making another child and their family happy that night. read more

I like Target because I go to Target when I get really depressed. Every employee doesn't look at me like they want to hurt me, so that's pretty cool I guess. I feel safe at Target. There's some good things in Target. Like trash bags and girls clothing. Sometimes I'll buy girls clothing and pretend I have a girlfriend. Sometimes doing this makes me feel happy for a little while. But sometimes it does not, but that is not Target's fault! In this day and age, not sure how to provide feedback on Outstanding Customer Service. Call goes unanswered to Guest Services. Yesterday, I took a Senior friend shopping at Petaluma -Target. We had been in the store for awhile and she got lightheaded. At the register checkout, requested a chair, for my friend to sit. But due to CoVid restrictions, Chairs are a rare commodity. Several employees did their best to access a chair. As I was completing my friend's purchase, we were approached by Colin. He was wearing a Target Pick Up vest. Colin provided a cup of water, then returned quickly with Electric cart for my friend. Colin provided a quick overview of electric cart operations and escorted me and friend to Car. Failed to mention, Colin also offered to call 911. My friend declined. Wanted to recognize this Outstanding young man and the rest of the Target staff for their concern and efforts. This is my new favorite target. I love the clearance racks here, mostly because the store is still new, so stuff isn't really broken yet that makes it's way onto the clearance racks. I love target but the employees here make it so hard to shop with their evil faces and bad attitudes. I wonder who raised them so badly and why. The cashier workers are always friendly but the girls in the back of the store restocking are straight up a-holes and will get in your way while you're trying to find items. Do they apologize? I went to target to find something I needed for work & I forgot my hearing aids. I found it. There's a second piece that usually comes with it that wasn't included. I wasn't sure where to find it. I asked a nearby employee. He looked it up in his handheld machine & I'm guessing he couldn't find it. He asked another fellow coworker. I told him I couldn't hear him. He typed it on his phone saying he doesn't think they have any. Before he leaves he asked one more person to come over to help assist. This time it was a girl that knew a little sign language. I was like Wow, they're really going above & beyond with me. I never had this service before. We signed back & forth, each of us knew a little. They ended up not carrying it. I thanked her for the signing. It helped a lot. I understand signing so much better than trying to hear someone talk. I went to the front check out lanes, before I checked out I went to find one more small item. I couldn't find it. I ended up finding another employee who could sign. This was awesome, so far the best service ever since my hearing loss. They also didn't have what I was looking for. I'm very impressed with the experience. read more

I don't see what's not to like about this target. The people who work there are helpful and nice and when checking out, they let you know which lane is the shortest. Definitely one of the better targets I have been too. Shopping and walking around almost always has me leaving with the store with something I am satisfied with. I love this target and come here several times per week, but it seems lately the customer service has been going way downhill. I was so excited when they rolled out the drive-up option because with 3 young kids, shopping in store can be stressful. I placed a large drive up order and when the team member brought out my items, he processed the order before I noticed that over half my items were missing. I stopped him and mentioned that there were a bunch of missing items and his exact words to me were "oh, I have no idea. I guess you're going to have to go inside. Sorry." And walks away. I then had to unload 2 kids and a newborn baby to walk inside and fix the issue. Turns out he just forgot to grab the rest of my bags. Not sure why he couldn't just run back inside and get them for me since it was his mistake, but i had to do it myself with all 3 kids, which defeats the entire purpose of me doing a drive up order in the first place. So rude, and I probably won't be doing any other drive up order in the future. Unfortunate because i really liked this service. read more

I live in Elk Grove (near Sacramento) and me and my friends went to Dillon Beach. On our way home we stopped at this target and just WOW! I can't honestly say I've ever been impressed by a store but I have never seen a cleaner more organized store in my life. The floors looked like they got cleaned and waxed or something lol. Everything was neat and in it's place and easy to find, all the employees looked very nice with what they were wearing. I used to work at the target here and our clothes sections are not as neat as they were here, especially in the infant/toddler section. Also when I was at the front the lines started growing and the Team Lead got on her walkie and called up additional cashiers. Keep up the good work! read more

Recently purchased a house in the area and you all know how many Target & IKEA trips there can be when you get a new place! I was asked if I needed help finding anything every two or three isles! Incredible. The people doing the hiring and training in this store are doing a marvelous job. Most employees I came across were smiling and friendly. If I could give this store and Target in general zero stars I would. I returned a lamp that I had ordered online to the Petaluma Store. They indicated that the amount would be returned to my Target Red Card. Well 5 days later and nothing. I called the customer service number and they said I had to talk to the red card folks. Talked to them and they said they didn't see the refund come through (which I knew). they said that I had to talk to the on-line order folks. I was transferred there and first the lady was questioning if I actually returned the lamp!! Even though in my app it states lamp was returned and refund processed! She said I had to call back after 7 business days. Called back after the 7 business days and was told that the refund was process successfully on their end and the issue must be with the Red Card folks. No one would take any accountability and help me. Bottom line I am a customer and I never received my refund. Even the Red Card folks said they never saw it come through so it wasn't that I was lying! Well looks like I am out $150 and I will NEVER shop at Target again! What happen to good customer service? Really unacceptable that not one could help me and pointed the finger at each other. read more

This is one of the newer Targets in Sonoma County and it was built with the idea of offering an easily navigated layout with large aisles. I come here from time to time on the way home from work, but it is not in a convenient location off the freeway. It's located in a very overwhelmed shopping center with too many shops that cause parking issues. However, the store inside is quite nice and I can usually find what I need. Why this place gets three stars is due to a lack of cashiers. I guess I just have wrong timing when I shop here. I'm usually here when the lines are insanely long and slow with just a handful of cashiers to see to the customer's needs. read more

I can't start to say how unhappy I was with our local Petaluma Target today. Here it is the Saturday before Christmas, the store is packed and I get into check-out lane 11 with Cashier Lexie checking people out. In front of me in line is a women and her teenage daughter who are apparently knew this Lexie. They had $650.00 worth of products and Lexie had to comment on EVERY SINGLE ONE!. Not only that, this customer was purchasing something like a dozen candles in canisters and she had to open EVERYONE to smell it and comment about how great they smelled. I was livid to say the least, my wife kept telling me to keep quiet and not cause a scene, it was all I could do not to yell at her. What in the H*LL is she thinking! The busiest day of the year and she's socializing with customers while everyone else waits. Sorry Lexie, but if Target is reading this I hope they give you a stern warning about how to run a check-out line. Think about everyone else in line! read more

I didn't have my receipts but it was on my red card, not sure what it is but this Target's customer service is the worst. I'm sick of the condescending attitude from their 20 something managers like Maria, that have absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS !!! I never have any issues at Walmart receipt or not. When we first moved here to P-Town & walked into this Target which was super clean, friendly staff & big selections it was by far the best Target we've gotten in & out of pretty quick. Coming from the Crazy Chaotic Bay Area targets where checking out would take 30mins or longer because they only have 3-4 open checkers, but here, they literally have the store staffed & the checkout lines going quick & smoothly each & every shopping trip! read more

Petaluma's Very Own Target is open for business. And at darn near 9:30 pm on a Wednesday night it was jumping. Four days before the official Grand Opening, I had to pace myself and remember that this isn't a pop-up store. It's really real: the clothes, the walls, and all that red & khaki running around to make sure I'm being helped. It helped. Seriously now I don't have to go to Rohnert Park or farther north to Santa Rosa for some prime Merona wear and a Iced Green Tea, sweetened. The store was bright & beautiful with friendly people. It's been a while since my last review here, and I feel that this place deserves an update. I come here almost daily just to walk around and see the merchandise, as there isn't a whole lot to do in this town. I love that they are open till 11 p.m every day, and 10 p.m on Sunday. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My fiance and I are known as regulars there, browsing around at random times. We enjoy the selection of movies which are always a good deal. I like the fact that they have a large book section to browse. The bathrooms are usually clean. It is a good place to do some shopping. read more

This review is for Target PHARMACY on Kenilworth in Petaluma: Avoid it like The Plague. They refused to fill a written prescription I submitted and wouldn't tell me why. All they would tell me is that the prescription wasn't "valid." I had been a steady customer there for a fair amount of time and when I asked what the problem was--repeatedly--they clammed up and wouldn't say a word (as if I would take that information and "correct" the prescription myself!). Needless to say, I was incensed and haven't returned since. I promptly had all my prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy and refuse to do business with them any time in the foreseeable future. NB: I promptly learned from my current pharmacy that the doctor had forgotten to include a minor bit of information on the script and it was quickly rectified. To this day I have absolutely no idea why Target acted in such a way; behavior like that did nothing but make them appear even more incompetent. read more
