Unfortunately, the same cannot be used to describe the cleanliness of the store. The floors and fixtures are in desperate need of a deep clean. There are thick build-ups of grime and dirt on the floor tiles, heavy layers of dust, cobwebs, and debris gathered under the shelves, and clumps of loose pet hair drifting down the aisles. Even the bottom of the "JustFoodForDogs" freezer unit had noticeable grime running down the front vent. I want to support our local pet stores, but walking through such neglected aisles makes for an uncomfortable shopping experience. The front-end staff is doing great, but management really needs to step up the store's basic housekeeping and sanitation.

Sure, California may be experiencing drought, but if you have a garden section, guess what? You need to water your plants. Lowes has started skipping that step but wouldn't dream of knocking a penny off plants that are already in distress when purchased. Home Depot does a slightly better job, but only by a nose. Shopping at Home Depot is generally unpleasant because the stores are, well, warehouses. Wilco has a much smaller garden section, but they tend what they have. They also intermix some unusual or unique plants with common ones which gives the feeling of shopping in a small nursery. Finally, their prices are better than either Lowes or HD. In addition, Wilco is the place to get bird seed for your outdoor birders like me. Lowes has rats they can't control so they quit carrying seed. HD went to tubs, but they don't have the variety that Wilco has. My only issue with Wilco is its sale of live chicks. I get it. Its a farm store. I disapprove but I get it.

Scott came out and measured, had the panels made at the shop, and then came back about a week later to install. Added a special mesh "door" to the bedroom screen window which is sturdy and lockable and you can easily close the entire window. The little door eliminates any insect issues in the house. The three cats love it. They've been out as late as midnight to observed the "locals;" ie. raccoons and skunks.
