    Drying my Goldendoodle
    Alexis J.

Just visited this store today to wash my Goldendoodle and the employees were very nice and helpful. In particular Jorge was very kind and helped me look for food alternatives for my dogs since his usual food wasn't available. He was knowledgeable and gave some great recommendations on different brands. I really appreciated all of his help today. Sometimes it's hard to find kind and genuine people nowadays so I wanted to acknowledge this store and Jorge. On a side note: the store itself is very clean and organized and the pet wash stations are the same . They supply the shampoo and clean towels and even some treats for your pet. When you are done, they clean up the station you used. Thank you again!

She was also lacking social skills like knocking me over at a doorway or jumping up on everyone. Our little girl spent 7 days boarding with Fit n furry for training. The fabulous trainer Marie Haven did a great job. On the last day we went for a human training class. We were taught human skills to continue her training. Marie worked wonders. My dog is in check with my cats, off the furniture, she waits at doorways and leaves things when told. I am much happier at home and I believe my dog is too. Marie is very patient, supportive, knowledgeable and kind. She is the perfect trainer.

This is a great example of an organization where one hand doesn't talk to the other. The level of…read morenon communication is pretty astounding. I called Fit N Furry to talk to them about boarding my cats. I received a text message back from Bailey and we had a text conversation, and got a tour set up. On the day of the tour, I called the center just to confirm and they had no idea what I was talking about. I was told there was no one there that would be able to give me a tour. The person on the tour scheduled me for a tour weeks away. I texted the original number back and asked what had happened. I actually asked them if they were human, because I'd had experiences before of AIs just not forwarding information to a human. But I was assured, via text, that I was speaking to a human and that they were sorry and their manager would reach out shortly. (To this day no one has reached out.) Weeks went by and I went in for my rescheduled tour. I walk in and they had no record of a tour but they would be happy to show me around. Just fill out this form. I filled out the form. The person at the desk looks at my form and goes "oh, your cats are too old to board here." Excuse me? After all this, my cats are ineligible anyway? At this point I had spent 3 hours in the car and who knows how long on the phone and text with them, getting at this sorted out. If this is the level of organization that is visible from the outside, I shudder to think what the behind-the-scenes organization looks like.

After leaving the dog there for almost a full day we returned to pick her up. Turns out she only received 2.5 hours of training, and the rest of the day was kenneled. She came out to us pulling even worse than before, and was obviously stressed. We were told she was difficult and needed more work as they handed her over to us with a pinch collar. We were told the pinch collar was necessary as it is the only thing she respected/responded to. I am of the opinion that the flashy ads and smiling faces on the website are just marketing ploys to get you in. Our trainer, at least knew very little about dog behavior and resorted to treat based behavior modification. It works as long as you have treats, past that the dog figures it out. No treat, no obediance. It was over a hundred dollars poorly spent. In contrast we just hired a one-on-one trainer for $100 per session who utilizes and understands dog behavior and body language. After only one visit we could see the difference. She went from a dog who was constantly on alert to one who was relaxed and obedient, looking at us for recognition with no treats involved. After only two sessions she will wait for her dinner or food on the floor till we tell her it's OK to eat, is better on leash, ignores distractions like other dogs, squirrels and cats. He also told us the pinch collar was unnecessary, which it was. Suffice to say, there was a remarkable difference in outcome between Dairy Dell and our current trainer. Our dog is now relaxed and calm, doesn't pull on the leash or steal food from the counters. Dairy Dell may work for some dogs, but it didn't work for mine.

The course definitely lives up to its title. Our rambunctious Doberman is now listening and behaving so much better, it's really like night and day. Camilla has a way of simplifying dog training in a way that is so attainable and effective. We are so grateful for Dairy Dell and can't wait to come back in the future!

I called to check on her and they said she has a LITTLE bit of separation anxiety but that was it they didn't go into a lot of detail. And then when we picked her up, this is how we picked up our dog. Her nose is cut up and it looks like she has a gash on her nose. We obviously got upset with the staff that was there because they didn't call us prior to us picking her up to inform us that our dog was injured. And then the first thing they said to us was that she ran into the door on the run that was line number two. , when we called bullshit, they then said well yeah she might've rubbed her nose a little bit on the kennel . A little???? When I finally got to talk to James the owner, he had no empathy for what happened to her face while I trusted them to take care of her. He proceeded to tell me that he doesn't think my dog is a good fit for the kennel like no shit James you will never take care of my dog. I would not trust this place to take care of a dog. I'm not someone that makes reviews because I don't even like yelp but i'm trying to help someone else so that they don't have to go through this traumatizing experience of picking up their loved one and having them be injured and then having the staff blame you and your dog for the dog being injured.

Her answering machine said they were out of the office from the 23th of last month, but I don't recall the date she said she'd be back. I know she takes pottery classes on Wednesday evening. I referred her to the classes so out of curiosity I showed up at class last Wednesday to find her there. She never said a word to me. Not even acknowledged I was there. When she showed up at my house to deliver newspapers, I told her she could have the five jars of glazes ($15.00 ea) that were still at the studio, since I stopped going to class. I also gave her my block of clay worth approximately $25. I had collected four more jars of glaze that I was going to give her at our appointment on the 13th. While I was at class, I asked the instructor for my box of glazes. I decided not to give it to her after all, but I did leave her with the barely used block of clay. I felt she didn't deserve my generosity after being treated the way I was. I have no idea why she ghosted me re my appointment, but she certainly didn't act professionally and I will never use her services in the future nor give a positive review. I have since found another mobile dog groomer who charges the same amount. Heather, I hope you enjoy the clay I gave you. Today I received a callback from Petco in Petaluma. They quoted their dog nail trims at: Monday thru Friday $6.00 (1/2 of regular price and $12 any other time. So if you don't mind driving a few miles, they can save you a lot of money.
