If you are tired of all the blah big box stores with zero customer service, and you want something a bit different for your pet, then this place is for you. The store owner, Stephanie, is a treasure, and so is the assistant manager, Fiona. Fiona has four legs and will be much more likely to give good customer service if you tip her. No tip and you're on your own. Stephanie is very knowledgeable about canine haute couture, and there's a very nice selection of coats, collars and leashes. My dog always comes out looking more dapper than when she went in. But sometimes Ruthie and I visit for the sheer pleasure of it. read more

This pet store has been around as long as I can remember. I used to frequent the store more often then I can count when I had 2 dogs many, many years ago. It has been several years since I was here and decided to stop (yup during Covid times) in with my newest dog, Rocko, to see if things had changed or stayed the same. It was exactly as I remembered and Stephanie still owned the store. I was looking at the stuff animals with squeaker toys in them trying to find one and Stephanie said to let Rocko test drive them so I did. There were two that he really liked so I purchased those. And of course, Stephanie asked if it was ok to give him a treat. She let's dogs, including her own, come into the store and walk with their owners. They have cute stuff such as shirts and bandanas, collars, leashes, beds, dishes, dog products for shampooing and more for dogs & cats. They even have a few things for horses. It's not a big box store so items and quantities are limited but it's definitely a place to find some unique items for your pet. It's not very big like all the big box pet stores, it's small, quaint and yes cluttered, but that's because it's a small place and it's part of it's charm. My wife and I spent about an hour in the shop today talking to Stephanie, the owner, meeting her dogs, browsing the offerings, and learning more about Petaluma. We shared what we had for lunch at Pearl Petaluma that is in the same neighborhood. Ending up buying a goodie for our daughter who loves cats. Didn't see any horse friend gifts right off the bat. And have to think about what to buy for our 125# bullmastiff and come back again. It was a blast! A warm welcome, good conversation, helpful info on Petaluma and a ton of GOOD STUFF on the shelves is the hallmark of the stores in town that we frequent often. This is not Petco or Petsmart. This is a great little pet store with collars and leashes to suit your pet's personality. The gal who runs it is great and very personable. There are so many neato items here - water and food bowls, coats and sweaters, pet trinkets, nic-nacs, funny signs: just lots of neat stuff. Stuff for dogs, cats, and even some horse stuff. I love this place. They have everything you can imagine in here. Leashes, clothes, carriers things for dogs, cats and horses. Probably other animals too! The owner Stephanie is very friendly and willing to help you even if it's after closing time. My niece and I went in here about 5 minutes before closing looking for help. Stephanie instantly greeted us and guided us to our decision on what was best for our newly spaded kitten. She would chew through the collars and the donut that we purchased from another place was very uncomfortable for our kitten and she was howling the whole time. Stephanie suggested a long covering shirt and now our little kitten doesn't want me to take it off! I will be back to buy more! Great place! The products are high quality and carefully selected and the owner Stephanie, truly treats you and your dog like family. Stephanie has helped me with everything from new puppy products and getting Mr Boo's first big boy leather german collar (special ordered) to picking out the perfect halloween costume that fit his personality (super man!) I have been stopping in just because it's a blast to connect with other dog lovers and hang out in a store that has products that tempt me every time I stop by. Oh my dog!!! This is the BEST toy store for both our furkids and for their pawrents (and Grammies!) Stephanie the owner is just fabulous - i love her. She is very knowledgeable and kind, I love the fact we actually make this place a destination. We have to drive an hour and a half round trip but it is a special outing for us all. We shop then sit down on the couch and the 'kids get treats. A very special place. We love it. And her selection of everything cat, dog horse is extensive and delightful. The person who helped us was friendly. Unfortunately, the store is very dirty and cluttered. It's difficult to focus on the nicer things because of the junky feel of the store. In spite of all the items they carry in the store, they don't carry a lot of your typical dog boutique items.
