I bought an assembled full metal chicken coop for $500 over the weekend, paid $70 for delivery to Petaluma. I specifically said - and called today (Monday) to reiterate my request - that I NEED them to call me when they arrive so I can tell them where to set it. They said he'd call or text to confirm anyway I called the store twice and both times she said she'd let him know. This thing is very heavy and I certainly can't move it by myself and all there is is myself to relocate it. All they had to do was call so I could tell them to put it to the left (which is well hidden) and instead, they didn't call and just dropped it off when I was in a meeting and didn't know they were here. They put it to the right of my driveway which is visible on a VERY busy street. All it will take is 2 or 3 people to come by at night and steal it. I'm stuck though - can't move it anywhere as I have no one to help with it. If this gets stolen in the next four days before I can get someone to help me, I will be livid, as I didn't have an extra $500 for this to begin with, my girls just needed it. Let's also ad that they didn't even put it on concrete or gravel they literally threw it in my front yard mulch (now buried in 3" of mulch on one side and destroyed the mulch job underneath. This store has everything, except customer service. Sheila was too busy putting belts away to help me look for a specific tire. The cashier asked her to help me, and I watched her roll her eyes in response, and go back to pulling stuff out of boxes. I approached her and asked if she was Sheila. her response...in a surly tone, seeming annoyed- "yeh, what do you need?" She told me what aisle they were in, and when I asked her for help finding the specific item, she repeated the aisle number. She wasn't going to help me beyond that. I left without what I was looking for because I had no idea how to figure out the specific item I needed. I'm in retail, and if one of my employees treated a customer this way she would be fired immediately. Sheila just lost any future business I might have brought to this store. read more

Love this place, little bit of everything one might need for the outside life. They even have the pet clinic there on certain days as well. The selection of items is nice and the service r is always helpful and friendly. TSC prices are not truly competitive across the board. If you go for a reasonably priced item and then see other things you need while in the store, you're guaranteed to over pay by 30-40% for the additional items! When you call a business ahead of time to find out if a) they have propane and b) if they can fill a tank, and are told that yes, they can before 2:00- you would assume that when you show up at 1:30, someone would be there. Not at TSC in Petaluma. Not only is no one there, but the employees are so dismissive of you (after you have CALLED to verify it is a good day/time to come) that it makes you realize why the larger companies and box stores get so much more business. Customer service is not a strong suite of this store. Not one employee even turned their head to look me in the face while telling me that no one was there. The response to "I just called" was "hmmm... yeah, sorry about that." You know, after hearing that a REGULAR customer CALLED and was apparently lied to about a service and realizing they DROVE to your store, a sincere apology would have gone a long way. She rang up the price of these boots I was purchasing, and then she rang up the higher priced books, then I asked if I can get it on the online price, and she stated that those were not the same boots. The older lady who worked there had to explain to her that she needed to ring up the black boots. The girl said, "oh, they look brown to me." Sometimes just walking in the door, you know things are going to be great. That happened at Tractor Supply this evening. I walked in and was treated with, "Welcome in!" I asked for dog leashes. "Right this way!" said Bill P. Off we went to the pet section. Bill is the kind of employee who can get along with anyone. He can judge immediately whether a person can take a little kidding and fun. He was perfect. My purchase went smoothly (and it was less than I thought) and everyone was so polite and helpful. That is my favorite store! read more

TS has a good supply of pet items. I like that I can go to one store and get everything I need. The checkers are pleasant and friendly though it's difficult to find anyone on the floor to help you. They consistently uncharge on their products though. I've taken to snapping a photo of the item and price on the shelf. When challenged, they will make good on the price. I am turned off by this and looking for another store. read more

We came here for a piece of tool for our (my husband and I) drill. First time here; didn't know what it was, but it looked like they might have what we were looking for. My husband disappeared for a while and came to the tool aisle. He mentioned there were chicks. I told him I wanted to see it. As we were looking at the chicks, an employee name Steve told us there were more in the back if we wanted to look. The chicks were adorable. Steve said because they has so many, they are now selling the ducks for $.50 and chicks for $1.00. We ended up getting 4 (for no reasons - actually for their cuteness). We had a 5 hour drive home from Petaluma haha. It was all worth the ducks and chicks. read more

Well I went into tractor supply today for dog food. There was a sign that said spend 50$ on purina pro plan and get a 10$ tractor gift card so I was thinking oh score I'll take that. This would really be a three star rating based on selection of gardening supplies, it was not the best, nor were the in the store employees in helping me find what I was looking for. There were reasonably priced planter containers, but not a large selection. So why the four star instead of three? They miraculously had a citron tree, Buddha's hand to be exact, that I have been searching for locally for two years. Not only did they have the tree, but it was in stellar disease free condition. Win, win, for me! Now that I have discovered this place, I will be sure to revisit to see what else they offer! read more

Went to get my pup vaccinated and decided to buy a nail trimmer for him while I was there. I'm after paying I opened it and trimmed his nails while we waited. I made sure there was no mess or anything was left of course. A worker passing by was staring at me but thought nothing of it. My husband and I decided to wait outside because it was getting full inside and some big guy whistles us down yelling "hey where's your receipt". I told him the cashier had it because we asked for no receipt. Absolutely rude way of treating customers. Yeah went down to steal some nail trimmers because you know I have nothing better to do, sure it probably happens but considering every other cashier saw us pay how about ask them first before calling out a customer in front of everyone. Feels like Christmas in February! Found some horse mats for our home gym!!! I just wanna give a shout out to this company! Especially the employees! John was super nice on the phone and extremely helpful he made my day when he told me they have mats. WeWe went to Tractor Supply to get some baby chicks for my daughter. I did all my research for raising backyard chickens and had my list. I however wasnt aware I had to get 6 wasn't really prepared to take on 6 chicks buuut the girl who was helping us (forgot her name but she had long blonde hair in a ponytail) explained why & I totally get it. She helped us gather all our supplies & she was very friendly & funny. I appreciated her personality it made the visit even more special. The girl at the register was pretty nice also! I just hope the managers read this. Maybe the gentleman that I had a poor experience with was the manager... either way, I feel the need to write. I was passing through traveling home and I stopped at tractor supply to use the restroom. I was let it by a nice cashier who directed me to the back of the store. I clarified the location in the back of the store with a middle aged Caucasian male employee who was extremely rude. I had my knit scarf that was very large wrapped multiple times around my nose and mouth. He asked me why I didn't have a mask and proceeded to tell me that my (very thick) face covering would not protect against covid 19. I proceeded to tell him that I am aware of the importance of masks, and that I am a nurse. I told him that I was going to be very quick and exit the building. He met me at the front of the store while I exited and shoved multiple masks in my hands and verbatim said "I'm ashamed you are a nurse". I cried the rest of the way home disappointed in his behavior and hurt significantly feeling personally attacked after everything I have done to fight and protect people from this pandemic. Mind you again; my mouth and nose were completely covered. Very upsetting. read more

I get that it can happen and I've seen bad stuff there before, but today was over the top. What a cool place! I've never heard of a place like this but was driving past and had to stop in and see what it was all about. It's like a homestead improvement store. They have animal supplies and feed, homesteading supplies, welding supplies, 75+ types of work gloves, enough types of ropes and chains to wrap around the world a few times, tools and work wear (as in boots, not suits), air guns for kids (even in pink), gun safes the size of a walk-in refrigerator, but not one tractor to be seen...hmm. ;-) read more

Oh my heart skips a beat just thinking about this place. This has to be one of the best stores ever. It's a little bit farm, a little bit pet, a little bit clothing, and a little bit garden, and a lot cool. I have bought electric heaters, pellet guns, dog food, boots, and canning jars all in the same trip. Their clearance section is amazing, their products are great quality, their staff is knowledgeable, I think half my house is supplied by all the amazing things this store carries, and Christmas! the awesome things you will find, and last but not least their $10 dog beds are incredible and affordable that you can toss them on a regular basis, and keep them fresh, although you can certaintly was them, and they are durable too. read more

I Dont have a ranch or ride horses or shoot guns or any of that stuff. But for some reason I love this store! The people who work here are always so friendly and helpful. I come here to buy dog food but always end up wandering around looking at all the other stuff the have. Especially the pink cowboy boots! They sell high quality pet food for less than the big pet stores. And you can get a huge bucket of kitty litter for six bucks! My only complaint is the country music. Blech. Let me start with saying this is a toy store for adults. Good prices and so much to look at. This qas my first visit to this paticular branch. It is quite a bit smaller than the Windsor one so there is less inventory. My only issue with this store is as follows. Asked a women if she could see if they had a certain set cover alls in a certain size. She gladly said sure. Then about five minutes later I look out the front windows of the store to see the very same woman leaving. I said something to a cashier near by and was informed this wasn't just any employee but the store manager. Everyone else was great but for me one person will keep me from going to the Petaluma store. Luckily Windsor isn't much farther away for me. read more

So I shop here often because it's convenient. The older lady is always short and curt with every customer. Yesterday she was telling a customer she basically did not want to do a refund on a broken product he got at another location. All he wanted was to exchange it but she went on and on about how it was going to hurt her store because she was not going to be able to sell the returned product and her store was going to have to take the loss. She ended up doing it in the end but was completely rude and disrespectful to this guy. I really like what they have to offer but won't be going back until they get rid of her.
