Wow, didn't know what to expect at this relatively new boutique in Petaluma. It was home to Art galleries for years. But the new owners have really stepped up to the plate. The music playing drew me into the store. Add lots of cool and useful items. Like murses(man purse) that carry what modern humans usually have in their hands. Fun, Neon LED art that can be made to order at a very fair price. Handmade bench/stool with storage underneath, perfect for all the clutter at the door. Crystal whiskey glasses that depict National Parks, Which can be chilled at the perfect temperature for a 25 year old whiskey. This is just to name a few items that stood out on my visit. Sidecar Mercantile is a great representation of coolness & gifts for that hard to buy for someone or just for yourself. BTW there is a real sidecar at the entrance, but it's not for sale,perhaps the right price. read more

Such a gem in downtown Petaluma! The shop is super cute, chic, and packed with goodies for people and now, pets. I went in "just to browse" and walked out with dog toys and a bed that my pup, Goose, is obsessed with. The staff were so sweet and attentive, and bonus points: the whole store smells amazing. 10/10 would happily "kill time" here again. read more

A beautifully curated store set within downtown Petaluma, with two of the friendliest owners! Among all the delicate, whimsical, and precious items kept in stock, I was particularly drawn to all the amazing dried flowers & wreaths. My first visit to the store was back in December and, the wreath I got then has since filled my living room with purples, blues, and pinks, keeping the space lively and colorful while waiting out this winter. read more

Great little shop! I love the mountain whiskey glasses. I'll happily have to go back to get them because by the time we were done looking around town they had closed. Came across Sidecar Mercantile during a visit to Petaluma. The assortment of home goods and gifts rivals stores I've seen in Manhattan, San Francisco and other major shopping areas. Sidecar Mercantile has great merchandise displays making it a wonderful shopping experience. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners who carried the bench we purchased to our car.
